In an effort to equalize test scores among racial groups, OPRF will order its teachers to exclude from their grading assessments variables it says disproportionally hurt the grades of black students. They can no longer be docked for missing class, misbehaving in school or failing to turn in their assignments, according to the plan. “Traditional grading practices perpetuate inequities and intensify the opportunity gap,” reads a slide in the PowerPoint deck outlining its rationale and goals.
You see, the problem is never the student, especially if that student is Black. The problem is the manner in which society judges people. As we are finding out many on the left believe that meritocracies in general are racist because they judge people on merit. Your race baiters will argue that the entire idea of meritocracy is just the white man holding the others down, by not accepting blame for their racism or acknowledging their privilege.
Because the only reason a Black student might skip, cause disruption, or skip assignments is racism against them. Meanwhile the only reason a White student might come to class, behave, and turn in assignments is privilege. Failure to acknowledge that no blame or credit can be given in the individual student is akin to favoring White supremacy. We cannot allow the White student who does well in school to be rewarded for effort, anymore than we can punish a Black student for any lack of effort.
And then at the end of the day, if one student of one race actually learns more than another from a different race... that is an indictment of the system and somehow must be correctly. Not by increasing the knowledge of the subject, mind you. But rather by undermining that knowledge and trying to "level the playing field" by force.
But as we have found in a global economy with mass migration and remote working... the vast majority of the world does not play by those rules and are not obligated to do so. If we dumb down our learning to appeal to the lowest common denominator, then we will do little more than train a generation of underlings who will work for and under those from other countries who are actually learning.
As the Judge famously said in Caddyshack. The world needs ditch diggers too. That appears to be the strategy of our American educational system. To allow the rest of the world to produce the engineers, doctors, and scientists... while we will supply the ditch diggers. But at least those ditch diggers will be of all colors.

CNN)A federal grand jury has indicted former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro for contempt of Congress after he refused to cooperate in the House January 6 committee's investigation.
According to the Justice Department, Navarro will make an appearance in court Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET in Washington.
He faces two contempt counts: one for his failure to produce documents demanded by the committee and the second for failing to show up for subpoenaed testimony before House investigators.
Trump adviser Peter Navarro gets indicted on two contempt of Congress charges

Former Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro has been indicted by the United States Department of Justice on two contempt of Congress charges.
Navarro, much like Trump ally Steve Bannon, had refused to cooperate with the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riots, and the House of Representatives voted to send over a criminal referral to him earlier this year.
"On Feb. 9, 2022, the Select Committee issued a subpoena to Navarro," the DOJ writes in its press release on the indictment. "The subpoena required him to appear and produce documents to the Select Committee on Feb. 23, 2022, and to appear for a deposition before the Select Committee on March 2, 2022. According to the indictment, Navarro refused to appear to give testimony as required by subpoena and refused to produce documents in compliance with a subpoena."
If convicted on both charges, Navarro will face a maximum sentence of two years in prison, as well as fines of up to $200,000.

If labor costs go up and profit margins go down, there is no inflationary reaction."
No such economic principles at play ,just pure fantasy wishing.
Like "transitory inflation " is meaningless bullshit so is "Bottom-Up Economics ".
Roger , has yet to define " Bottom-Up Economics ",, come on Roger move boldly, define it.

In response.
It has come to the District’s attention that a recent article in the online West Cook News inaccurately states that at the Board of Education’s May 26 meeting, Oak Park and River Forest High School announced that it will implement a race-based grading system in the 2022-2023 school year. This is not true.
OPRFHS does not, nor has it ever had a plan to, grade any students differently based on race. The article contains a variety of misleading and inaccurate statements. The article’s mischaracterization of the Board meeting is unfortunate and has caused unnecessary confusion.
As part of the Board of Education’s strategic plan, the OPRFHS Grading and Assessment Committee was formed to examine national research on objective, unbiased practices for determining whether students have mastered academic content. At the Board of Education’s May 26 meeting, the administration’s representative to the OPRFHS Grading and Assessment Committee provided an initial report that included a progress update on the committee’s examination of grading practices.
At no time were any statements made recommending that OPRF implement a race-based grading approach.
Prior to implementing grading changes, if any, recommendations will be made to the Board at a public meeting. Again, contrary to the title of the article, the district has not implemented, and has no intention of implementing, any grading and assessment policy based on race.
It called the right wing nutcase bullshit 😒

You really are full of shit
Sorry Roger...
There are what they say "publicly" and what their internal memos are saying. Of course, once caught with documents suggesting that they are doing this because of race...
They make a different public plea.
You believe the "statement" because that is what they expect stupid people to believe... they know they can fool the gullible.
Roger....
are you dumb enough to have been fooled?
Just curious...
Btw.... say hi to the bad orange man for me. We both laugh about how we live rent free in your head!

Within minutes of the US Capitol breach on January 6, 2021, messages began pouring into the cell phone of White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. Among those texting were Republican members of Congress, former members of the Trump administration, GOP activists, Fox personalities -- even the President's son. Their texts all carried the same urgent plea: President Donald Trump needed to immediately denounce the violence and tell the mob to go home.
The Democrats are so narrow-minded and have such tunnel vision they cannot change course. I love venture capitalist Marc Andreessen’s motto “strong opinions loosely held”. It means you keep your mind open to objective data which could change your opinion. This is hard to do when you are in a cult and a lot of thinking and policy in America is cultish today.
It’s arguable that Joe Biden and his administration are the worst since at least Herbert Hoover and possibly in the history of the United States. This is based on data.
Some inflation was unavoidable. With all the money creation and government spending, it was bound to happen. But, Biden made it significantly worse with his policies in every single industrial sector.
I was wondering when there would be a “Let Them Eat Cake” moment in the Joe Biden Economy. I think it might have been when government officials and Limousine Liberals said to “just breast feed”.
I drove across the country a couple of weeks ago. People are hurting. You can tell. Especially when you chat with the small business owners.
Just remember what Uncle Miltie said, “If the Federal Government managed the Sahara Desert, in a few years it would run out of sand.”
If I were a Democrat in the Senate, I might start drafting articles of impeachment just to get rid of this guy. Already, people are fleeing his administration so they aren’t tarnished and their careers permanently stained. Problem is, the people on-deck aren’t any better.

US continues to add jobs as wage gains slow
Agence France-Presse
June 03, 2022
US job gains continued in May but at a slower pace, and rapid wage gains cooled as well, a welcome sign for US policymakers trying to ease red-hot inflation.
American employers added 390,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported Friday, a sign of a slowdown in hiring but still a better-than-expected result amid a shortage of workers.
Employers have struggled to fill open positions, which has pushed wages higher, and average hourly earnings rose another ten cents compared to April, to $31.95.
The pay rate is 5.2 percent higher over the last 12 months ended in May, but that is slightly slower than the 12-month increase posted in April, the report said.
That could be good news for the Federal Reserve, which has launched an aggressive campaign to raise interest rates to combat the highest US inflation in more than 40 years.
