Jan 6th and Georgia investigation might be just more vetting of Trump for 2024....

Imagine how this will play out if Trump is not found guilty of any crime?

There has been more criminal investigations waged against Donald Trump than any politician in the history of our country. Starting with the fake Russian collusion investigation Trump has been barraged. Not surprisingly the FBI failed to find any evidence of anything criminal regarding "collusion" before turning the investigation over to Special Counsel who spend almost two years and tens of millions of dollars trying to find a crime to charge Trump with. At the end of the day Mueller came up bust as well, disappointing liberals all over the country.

Meanwhile, the there were several criminal investigations in the wake of Trump's 2016 victory regarding various supposed campaign violations that also came up empty. There was even a silly Trump cronie who pled guilty to something "stormy related" in order to testify against Trump (and got a reduced sentence for doing so). But even with a supposed witness in their corner prosecutors still couldn't come up with charges at the end of the day to fit the so called nefarious actions.

Then there was the Southern District of New York's big tax investigation (which has been since downgraded to a civil investigation that remains ongoing for whatever reasons) that was supposed to doom him to criminal financial and tax fraud in the state of New York. The two investigators stormed out in protest when the district attorney told them that they didn't have what they needed to charge the former President with a crime. If I had a dollar for everyone who suggested that when they got his "tax returns" that things were over, I could retire.

Currently we have a second roll around on the Georgia "phone call" run by a partisan Democratic county prosecutor who will eventually still have to convince the State AG to charge Trump for whatever crime it is that they believe he broke by making the call. While the media is hanging on the every move here, most do not seem to realize that the grand jury at that county level has no authority to issue any indictments.

Lastly we have the Jan 6th commission - which really should be renamed the "get Trump" commission since the entire content of the commission has been 100% about "getting Trump" and 0% anything else having to do with Jan 6th. While you have your Lawrence Tribes and other Partisan folks demanding the indictments are coming for everything from obstruction to murder, the reality is that almost every "objective" legal analysts have a much different view.

Even if they believe there is some way to get there, this would be a tough case to prove in court and the fact that it is political makes the burden of charging even higher. The reality is in 250 years, we have never charged anyone with a crime for political rhetoric or held politicians accountable for what followers do. Does Garland really want to open that can of worms and start the back and forth politically charged partisan legal battles that would almost assuredly come from charging Trump?

Oh and let's not forget the Hunter Joe Biden situation? Imagine the heat Garland would deservedly get if he were to charge Trump for a crime, while not appearing even slightly interested in pursuing the Hunter Biden situation (which legal analysts from all sides say points to criminal behavior from Hunter and very likely from Joe). That sort of  blatant legal hypocrisy might just make people take up arms.

Bottom line.. if Trump is still standing a year from now after all of this, he can solidly go into the 2024 campaign honestly claiming to be the most vetted and criminally free politician in our nations history, since no other Presidential nominee will have ever gone through this sort of "legal vetting" that Trump has gone through.

Imagine... six years, dozens of investigations, committees, commissions, hearings, all costing tens of millions of dollars. Thousands of legal opinions using millions of words to convince people of guilt... and what if at the end of it all they never found a crime?

The former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe has died aged 67 after being shot while making a speech in the western city of Nara.

Abe, the country’s longest-serving prime minister until he resigned in 2020, was flown to hospital by helicopter after the shooting. His death was first reported by the public broadcaster NHK.

Footage and accounts broadcast by Japanese media showed Abe’s speech interrupted by two loud bangs – possibly from a shotgun – and smoke, with Abe stumbling to the ground after the second shot. TBS Television reported that Abe had been shot on the left side of his chest and apparently also in the neck. NHK had initially quoted firefighters as saying Abe showed no vital signs.

Former FBI Director James Comey and his top deputy Andy McCabe faced rare, intensive IRS audits after investigating former President Donald Trump, according to The New York Times.

Comey, whom Trump fired in 2017 while he oversaw the FBI's investigation into the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, and McCabe, who was similarly terminated after investigating Trump over the Coney firing, were selected for a "random" audit known as an "autopsy without the benefit of death," according to the report. Out of about 153 million individual tax returns filed in 2017, only about 5,000 people are selected for this type of invasive audit each year.

Comey and McCabe, along with their spouses, defied the odds, being selected for the audit after being fired. The two men were selected for an IRS research program that uses "compliance research examinations" to try to catch tax cheats. Unlike typical audits, these audits force individuals to produce bank records, copies of checks, receipts and letters effectively recreating their finances for the year in question. The process takes months and often costs thousands in accountant fees.

"Your federal income tax return for the year shown above was selected at random for a compliance research examination," the IRS said in letters to both men. "We must examine randomly selected tax returns to better understand tax compliance and improve fairness of the tax system. We'll give you the opportunity to explain any errors we may find during the examination."

The "minuscule chances" of the top two FBI officials being selected at random raised questions about whether Trump appointees in the government or at the IRS purposely targeted them, noted Times reported Michael Schmidt.

"Lightning strikes, and that's unusual, and that's what it's like being picked for one of these audits," former IRS Commissioner John Koskinen told the outlet. "The question is: Does lightning then strike again in the same area? Does it happen? Some people may see that in their lives, but most will not — so you don't need to be an anti-Trumper to look at this and think it's suspicious."

A Trump spokeswoman denied any knowledge of the audits.

IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig, a Trump appointee who remains on the job, declined an interview with the Times but said in a statement that he was not involved in any audit.

"Commissioner Rettig is not involved in individual audits or taxpayer cases; those are handled by career civil servants," the statement said. "As I.R.S. commissioner, he has never been in contact with the White House — in either administration — on I.R.S. enforcement or individual taxpayer matters. He has been committed to running the I.R.S. in an impartial, unbiased manner from top to bottom."

The IRS did not specifically comment on the cases but says it forwards any allegations of wrongdoing it receives to the Treasury Department for "further review."

It is illegal under federal law for nearly anyone in the executive branch to request an IRS audit of a specific individual's taxes.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

McCabe called for an investigation into the audits.

"It just defies logic to think that there wasn't some other factor involved," he said.

"No coincidence, for sure. Odds are 30,000 to 1," tweeted Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe, warning that "this kind of political targeting is a serious federal crime.

IRS policy as well as a 1998 law require agency employees to report political interference to TIGTA. That law also makes it illegal for the White House to ask the agency to stop, start or modify an audit.

Both White House interference and failing to report that interference is punishable by up to five years in prison.

He was the Godfather President.

The commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service faces a new onslaught of questions after a report Wednesday showed that two foes of President Donald Trump had been selected for a rare audit.

Charles Rettig, whose elevation by Trump to lead the service in 2018 surprised many tax professionals when it was announced, faced new scrutiny after the New York Times revealed that both former FBI director James B. Comey and his deputy, Andrew McCabe, were the subjects of highly unusual audits for which the IRS says were selected at random. The Washington Post has confirmed the audits.

Former FBI leaders who drew Trump’s ire were both audited by IRS

Rettig was a tax attorney in Beverly Hills, Calif., when Trump put him in charge of the agency, which employs about 71,000 full-time staffers. He had defended a billionaire the IRS accused of hiding money in offshore accounts, a venture capitalist the agency alleged used sham accounting to shelter assets, and the heirs of a millionaire defense contractor who sought to fend off inheritance taxes.

Thanks to Georgia’s court system rules, the damning testimony of several former Trump administration officials—now being televised by the Jan. 6 Committee—could very well bolster the Fulton County District Attorney’s criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump’s menacing phone call to the state’s top elections official last year.

Georgia is a state where prosecutors seeking an indictment can present hearsay evidence to grand juries. That means the special grand jury currently underway in Atlanta can be shown how former Attorney General Bill Barr and others repeatedly told Trump that his election conspiracy theories were absolute nonsense—laying the groundwork to prove that he knowingly cited false accusations of election fraud when he intimidated Georgia’s secretary of state on Jan. 2, 2021.

According to a person familiar with the inner workings of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, prosecutors from the start have closely examined whether Trump and his lieutenants could be charged with breaking a Georgia state law against “criminal solicitation to commit election fraud.” Investigators could charge them if they find that any member of Trump’s team “solicits, requests, commands, importunes” or tries to get Georgia officials to “engage” in election fraud on the several recorded phone calls they made to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger or his agency’s top investigator.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Trump is clearly the target of the investigation. And it's usual that either the target doesn't get a subpoena at all—or it comes at the very end of the process,” said Norman Eisen, an attorney who previously advised the House Judiciary Committee and helped build the case for Trump’s first impeachment.

Why Boris Johnson Resigned but Trump Never Did
July 8, 2022 at 6:02 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 30 Comments

Dan Balz:
“The resignation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is testament to the power of elected politicians to hold their leaders accountable. It is a lesson that has been lost on Republican Party officials as they have weighed repeatedly how to deal with former president Donald Trump.

“Johnson’s resignation Thursday came after a collapse in support among members of his government and Conservative Party backbenchers. Nothing like that has happened to Trump,
not during his first impeachment,
nor his second impeachment,
not even after the role he played in the attack on the Capitol by his supporters on Jan. 6, 2021.
In each case, all but a handful of Republican elected officials rallied behind Trump — and still do.”

Johnson’s lies worked for years, until they didn’t.

'Damning' Jan 6th committee testimony is a major blow to Trump's Georgia defense

Tom Boggioni

July 08, 2022

The timing for Georgia prosecutors presenting evidence before a special grand jury could not be better, reports the Daily Beast's Jose Pagliery, because the recent Jan 6th Select Committee hearings have handed them a wealth of information that can be used to seek indictments against Donald Trump due to a quirk in the state's grand jury laws.

As the Beast report notes, while in most trials hear-say evidence can be excluded, Georgia's grand jury system allows it to be considered.

That is a problem for Trump with multiple members of his administration -- including his daughter Ivanka Trump -- having testified that he was well aware that he had lost the election, which wipes out his contention that he thought he had won -- a key part of his defense.

"Georgia is a state where prosecutors seeking an indictment can present hearsay evidence to grand juries. 2, 2021," Pagliery wrote. "According to a person familiar with the inner workings of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, prosecutors from the start have closely examined whether Trump and his lieutenants could be charged with breaking a Georgia state law against 'criminal solicitation to commit election fraud.'"

Pat Cipollone to Testify Today

“Former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone will testify today behind closed doors to the Jan. 6 select committee, one of the most highly anticipated moments in the panel’s probe,” Punchbowl News reports.

“Sources tell us that the select committee does not have an agreement with Cipollone about what investigators can or cannot ask him. Prior to Hutchinson’s testimony, the panel had discussed an arrangement with Cipollone for an on-the-record interview, but Cipollone backed away from it… Cipollone is expected to claim executive privilege over conversations he had with Trump, but there is plenty that the committee is interested in outside of that category. For example, we expect Cipollone will be asked about conversations with former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

“The select committee is expected to hold two public hearings next week – a midday hearing on Tuesday, followed by a Thursday night primetime session.”

Inside Cipollone’s interview today

Former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone will testify today behind closed doors to the Jan. 6 select committee, one of the most highly anticipated moments in the panel’s probe.

Remember: Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified that Cipollone was very vocal on Jan. 6. Hutchinson testified that Cipollone warned White House officials that if former President Donald Trump marched to the Capitol with the rioters, he could be charged with criminal behavior. Hutchinson also testified that Cipollone raised alarm bells about protestors chanting that then Vice President Mike Pence should be hanged, and he sought a forceful statement from Trump to help quell the attack.

Sources tell us that the select committee does not have an agreement with Cipollone about what investigators can or cannot ask him. Prior to Hutchinson’s testimony, the panel had discussed an arrangement with Cipollone for an on-the-record interview, but Cipollone backed away from it, sources tell us. Cipollone is expected to claim executive privilege over conversations he had with Trump, but there is plenty that the committee is interested in outside of that category. For example, we expect Cipollone will be asked about conversations with former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

The select committee is expected to hold two public hearings next week – a midday hearing on Tuesday, followed by a Thursday night primetime session. Sources tell us the committee will not announce witnesses for Tuesday’s hearing until after investigators finish the Cipollone interview today.

Trump has every reason to panic about Cipollone testifying

By Jennifer Rubin

Cipollone to testify before Jan. 6 committee

Former White House counsel Pat Cipollone agreed to a closed-door testimony before the Jan. 6 House select committee on July 8.

Former White House counsel Pat Cipollone has been the missing man at the hearings for the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection. Although present at the most critical moments in the coup attempt, until now he has refused to testify formally.

That now will change with his agreement to give a videotaped, transcribed interview. While not under oath, lying to Congress is still a crime, so he has every reason to stick to the truth. That’s yet more bad news for defeated former president Donald Trump.

Cipollone has appeared for an informal interview with the panel, but he resisted speaking beyond a limited set of topics with claims of executive privilege. The Jan. 6 committee finally gave up friendly negotiations and sent out a subpoena last week. Faced with the prospect of criminal contempt and potential sanctions from the bar, Cipollone, a working lawyer, agreed to at least show up.

It seems his initial claims of privilege have fallen by the wayside. President Biden has waived executive privilege, and others have already testified about communications with Trump, including former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann, former Justice Department officials and Cassidy Hutchinson, a top aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. Plus, Cipollone has no attorney client privilege with Trump, since his client was the U.S. government (a concept Trump never could grasp).

As for the possibility that Cipollone takes the Fifth, constitutional scholar Laurence Tribe tells me, “Cipollone might try to invoke his fifth amendment privilege against compelled self-incrimination, but it doesn’t look like he was personally involved in anything criminal, so that privilege would not be applicable.”

Cipollone apparently lacks the nerve of 25-year-old Hutchinson, given that he will avoid the exposure that comes with public testimony. But his interview will be videotaped and therefore will be used in future hearings. His testimony also can be used by the committee and by prosecutors to, among other things, cross-examine him if he testifies later in front of the committee or a grand jury. His testimony can also be cited in the committee’s final report.

Cipollone may have answers to a slew of questions to either corroborate other testimony or provide new evidence.

Imo i think that he will not claim executive privilege and tell the truth and nothing but the truth about Trump

Ex-Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman on Sunday said that former President Donald Trump has "zero" defense against a criminal probe centered on his conduct regarding the 2020 election results in Georgia.

During an interview on MSNBC's "The Katie Phang Show," Akerman said that the former president had a flimsy defense as a Fulton County grand jury probes potential election interference. Akerman famously served as an assistant special prosecutor looking into ties between the Nixon White House and the 1972 Watergate break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters.

Trump faces a probe into whether he unduly pressured Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" the 11,780 votes needed to overcome now-President Joe Biden's victory in the Southern swing state.

And Akerman said that the existence of audio containing insight into Trump's thinking regarding election integrity and his pressure campaign against both Raffensperger and GOP Gov. Brian Kemp could strengthen the prosecutor's case.

TODAY IN OUR LOCAL PAPER THE PANTAGRAPH

FROM THE PULPIT
James Boswell
What is wrong with our nation and our world these days?

What is wrong with our nation and our world these days? Could it be that too many of us who say we are Christians have failed to live up to the spiritual teachings we claim to embrace?

When in the sixth century Roman society was crumbling, St. Benedict of Nursia told the people of his time, “Your way of acting should be different from the world’s way. The love of Christ must come before all else. You are not to act in anger or nurse a grudge. Rid your heart of all deceit. Never give a hollow greeting of peace or turn away when someone needs your love. Speak the truth with heart and tongue.”

Speaking the truth has become a rarity these days.

Some twenty centuries ago, Jesus told the people of his time that their way of acting should be very different from the world’s way of acting – amazingly different.

And why should that be? Because, he told them, they should know themselves to be so dearly loved by God that they are free to let their own love be as inclusive, unlimited, measureless, even “perfect,” as the love of their heavenly Father is.

As children of their Father, Jesus said, they should love even their enemies – simply because “the Father himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.”

Jesus taught his followers to be different from a world in which so many seek to compete with one another, take advantage of one another, and rule over one another. “Do not be like them,” Jesus said. “Rather, become loving servants of others, even to the point of laying down your life for them,”

“How can we possibly live like that?” his disciples asked him.

“As much as it depends on you, you cannot,” he told them, “For you, it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God.” (Therefore rely on the Father who can accomplish in you what you cannot accomplish in yourselves.)

Jesus taught that the Father so lavishly pours out his love that all people should feel themselves blameless, flawless, fully forgiven, fully accepted by and in God’s love. If Jesus were to speak to us today, he would surely encourage us to be that boldly humble – boldly humble enough to accept God’s loving acceptance of us while letting ourselves be lovingly accepting of others.

Job growth accelerated at a much faster pace than expected in June, indicating that the main pillar of the U.S. economy remains strong despite pockets of weakness.

Nonfarm payrolls increased 372,000 in the month, better than the 250,000 Dow Jones estimate and continuing what has been a strong year for job growth, according to data Friday from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Uncensored Roger said...

Talk of recession is everywhere. Inflation is at 40-year highs, the stock market is spiraling, and consumer sentiment has tanked to an all-time low.

But the job market remains exceptionally strong.

Economists and policymakers will be closely watching this morning’s employment numbers from the Labor Department, which revealed that 372,000 jobs were created in June. The hope is that jobs growth — which has been hovering around 400,000 new positions per month — will slow to a sustainable pace that could help moderate inflation, without a significant rise in unemployment.

What is a recession? Your economy questions, answered.

The labor market is a crucial indicator of whether the country is in a recession, and so far there is little indication of a dramatic cooldown. The unemployment rate held steady at 3.6 percent, near historic lows. The Federal Reserve expects the jobless rate to rise gradually to 4.1 percent by 2024.

A recession is unlikely

Bottom up economic development is working 💪

WASHINGTON (AP) — America’s employers shrugged off high inflation and weakening growth to add 372,000 jobs in June, a surprisingly strong gain that will likely spur the Federal Reserve to keep sharply raising interest rates to cool the economy and slow price increases.

The unemployment rate in June remained at 3.6% for a fourth straight month, the Labor Department said Friday, matching a near-50-year low that was reached before the pandemic struck in early 2020.

The past year’s streak of robust hiring has been good for job seekers and has led to higher pay for many employees.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade fuel slid to $4.77 in the week that ended Monday, according to the Energy Information Administration. The reading marked a third straight weekly decline and put the nationwide average nearly 5% below the mid-June peak of $5.01 a gallon.

Less Than Half of Republicans Call January 6 a ‘Riot’
July 8, 2022 at 8:58 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 2 Comments

A new Monmouth poll finds 65% of Americans say it is appropriate to describe the incident at the U.S. Capitol as a riot, and 50% say it is appropriate to describe it as an insurrection.

Last year, 62% of Republicans called the incident a riot.
Now, just 45% do.

Similarly, 33% of Republicans last summer said it was appropriate to describe the incident as an insurrection,
but only 13% say the same today.

Meanwhile, 61% of Republicans see the incident as a
“legitimate protest.”

Unemployment rate is 3.6% completely recovered from the recession caused by the pandemic.

The economy added 372,000 jobs in June, a hotter-than-expected boost to the labor market that may ease worries of an impending recession, but that also complicates the job of the Federal Reserve as it seeks to quell inflation.

The unemployment rate was 3.6 percent, the same as a month earlier, the Labor Department reported Friday.

The number is in line with the average gain over the last few months, including 368,000 in April and 384,000 in May. Employers have continued to compete for workers in recent months, with initial unemployment claims rising only slightly from their low point in March.

The private sector has now regained its prepandemic number of jobs, while the public sector remains 664,000 jobs below February 2020. Other than the public sector, no industry lost jobs in June, on a seasonally adjusted basis.

The Fed is going to make some tough decisions.

The U.S. economy added 372,000 jobs last month, while the unemployment rate held at 3.6%, close to the lowest level in a half-century, the government said on Friday.

Why it matters: Jobs growth remains healthy, even as the Federal Reserve tries to slam the brakes on the economy to contain decades-high inflation.

Forecasts called for 270,000 payrolls to have been added in June.

By the numbers: Job gains in April and May were 74,000 lower than initially estimated.

The labor force participation rate — the share of the population employed or looking for a job — ticked down slightly to 62.2%.Wages grew 5.1% from the prior year, compared to 5.2% in May.

The bad news is that wage increases don't cover inflation costs.

The Fed will probably increases interest rates.

The unemployment rate was 3.6%, unchanged from May and in line with estimates. An alternative measure of unemployment that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time jobs for economic reasons fell sharply, dropping to 6.7% from 7.1%.

Biden Sold Oil From Emergency Reserves To Chinese Gas Giant Tied To His Scandal-Plagued Son

On Wednesday, Reuters revealed that more than 5 million barrels of oil from the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserves were sent overseas as part of President Joe Biden’s latest release initiated in March.

Some of that oil went to India, some to the Netherlands, and some was sent to China where the president’s son has engaged in years of potentially criminal business activity embroiling the Biden White House in scandal since the 2020 campaign.

On Thursday, the Washington Free Beacon published new details about the Chinese oil shipments from the U.S. emergency reserves that Biden promised were tapped to “ease the pain that families are feeling” in the United States from high energy prices.

“The Biden administration sold roughly one million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to a Chinese state-controlled gas giant that continues to purchase Russian oil, a move the Energy Department said would ‘support American consumers’ and combat ‘Putin’s price hike,'” the Beacon’s Collin Anderson reported. “Biden’s Energy Department in April announced the sale of 950,000 Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels to Unipec, the trading arm of the China Petrochemical Corporation. That company, which is commonly known as Sinopec, is wholly owned by the Chinese government.”

Sinopec is also tied to Hunter Biden, whose private equity firm, BHR Partners, bought a $1.7 billion stake in the company seven years ago.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer told the New York Times in November that the president’s son, “no longer holds any interest, directly or indirectly, in either BHR or Skaneateles.”

According to the Washington Examiner, however, Hunter Biden remained listed as a part-owner of the firm as late as March.

Here are five questions he may be able to answer for the committee.

What advice did he give Trump on Jan. 6?

Ex-White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, a special assistant to Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified last month that Cipollone, frustrated by inaction with White House efforts to stop a mob from attacking the Capitol, went with Meadows to speak to the president.

Meadows turned over a trove of his text messages to the Jan. 6 panel but then abruptly refused to meet with the panel. But Cipollone could provide some insights.

The conversation mentioned by Hutchinson took place after Cipollone had issued a number of warnings surrounding Trump’s plans for that day and their risk for criminal charges, according to her testimony.

The committee has already cast Cipollone as one of the voices in the West Wing pushing Trump to do more to quell the violence unfolding at the Capitol.

“Our evidence shows that Pat Cipollone and his office tried to do what was right. They tried to stop a number of President Trump’s plans for Jan. 6,” Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), the committee’s vice chair, said at an earlier hearing.

Hutchinson fleshed out that picture.

“Mark, something needs to be done or people are going to die and the blood is going to be on your effing hands,” Cipollone told Meadows, according to Hutchinson.

How did Trump respond to that counsel?

Cipollone could expand the committee’s view into Trump’s inaction on Jan. 6 — a future hearing topic for the panel as it looks to review what happened in the White House that day.

Testimony from Hutchinson indicates that Trump had little appetite for action that day.

“He doesn’t want to do anything, Pat,” Hutchinson said Meadows told Cipollone.

Cipollone could also expand on testimony that Trump was unmoved by hearing that former Vice President Mike Pence was in danger as rioters chanted for him to be hanged.

“You heard him, Pat. He thinks Mike deserves it. He doesn’t think they’re doing anything wrong,” Meadows said, according to Hutchinson.

It’s not clear how Trump responded to specific pleas from Cipollone, while the former White House counsel could also provide more details about his sentiment with regards to Pence that was one of the very first revelations teased by the committee.

possibility Trump would try to make the trip.

“Please make sure we don’t go up to the Capitol, Cassidy,” Hutchinson told the select committee Cipollone said. “Keep in touch with me.”

Did Trump ever acknowledge there was no voter fraud?

Cipollone was also a front-row witness to many of Trump’s numerous plots to stay in power based on his purported claims of election fraud.

Here are five questions for the committee.

When will the American people be allowed to see the 14,000 hours of unedited and uncut video of Jan 6th?

When will the FBI detail out their involvement ?

When will Pelosi explain why she didn't adequately secure the Capitol

What has the committee done to investigate the avalanche of election fraud claims ?

When will the committee release their own internal texts and emails regarding Jan 6th and committee proceedings?

Now that would be real transparency

not a show trial
