Tucker Carlson for President said...

He entered to rapturous applause, flattered his hosts shamelessly, told them about his political vision and sold them merchandise bearing his name.

Tucker Carlson’s appearance in Iowa on Friday looked like a presidential run, walked like a presidential run and quacked like a presidential run but was most certainly not a presidential run, at least as far as anyone knows.

The Fox News host was the keynote speaker at the Family Leadership Summit, a gathering of more than 1,800 religious conservatives in Des Moines, Iowa, which every four years is the first state to have a say in picking the Republican presidential nominee.

It was at the same forum in the same state seven years ago that businessman and reality TV star Donald Trump told the audience that Senator John McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam, was “not a war hero” – instantly dooming his candidacy, or so everyone thought.

I will stop them from replacing us with beaners and Mooselimbs.

Hunter Biden laptop shows dozens of meetings with dad, business partners

Hunter Biden met with his father at least 30 times at the White House or the vice president’s residence, often just days after he returned home from overseas business jaunts.

The breakfasts, lunches and other gabfests between 2008 and 2016 raise questions about whether Hunter was relaying messages to his father on behalf of foreign clients, and cast new doubt on the president’s repeated denials that he had any role in his son’s shady overseas business dealings.

The meetings were found in a review of the personal calendar on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop.

Eric Schwerin, the president of Hunter Biden’s investment company Rosemont Seneca Partners, is named as a calendar invite recipient on 21 of 30 listed meetings, with a green check frequently indicating his confirmed receipt of the invite for meetings with the vice president. Schwerin was a longtime Hunter Biden business confidante, and had access to the elder Biden’s personal financial information.

including:

"Between Feb. 15-18, 2012, Hunter Biden was wined and dined by billionaire oligarchs in Moscow, including one now wanted for murder. Four days after his return, Hunter Biden met with Vice President Biden, again at the Naval Observatory."

Imagine if Trump had done that

and Biden received over $3 mullion afterwards from the Moscow mayor's wife

Donald Trump’s golden shower tape ‘probably does’ exist

A tape of Donald Trump allegedly participating in a sexual kink “probably does” exist, a former British intelligence agent has revealed.

October 19, 2021 - 6:48PM
A tape of Donald Trump allegedly confessing that he enjoys being peed upon during sex (or watching others do so) “probably does exist”, according to former British intelligence agent and Russian specialist Christopher Steele, despite the former US president’s repeated objections that it doesn’t.

The video – which reportedly showed Mr Trump watching two sex workers pee on a bed (once slept in by the Obamas) in the presidential suite at Moscow’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel while he was visiting Russia to attend the 2013 Miss Universe pageant – first came to public attention two years ago, with the release of the Mueller report.

Supposedly, the Ritz-Carlton was under surveillance at the time of Mr Trump’s stay by the FSB, Russia’s main state security agency, which had microphones and hidden cameras in many of the rooms.

If it does exist, the footage would be in the possession of the Russian government – leading some to suspect that President Vladimir Putin used it to influence and/or blackmail Mr Trump during his time as leader of the free world.

The Mueller report–which investigated the Trump administration’s possible collusion with the Russian government in the lead-up to the 2016 election – concluded it was unlikely that the footage exists.

But according to Mr Steele – who compiled 17 intelligence reports in 2016 that concluded the Russian Government has been “cultivating, supporting and assisting” Mr Trump for years – there is a chance that the video is real.

Speaking to ABC News, Mr Steele said he believes the alleged tape “probably does” exist, but that he “wouldn’t put 100 per cent certainty on it”.

Asked why, if it does exist, it hasn’t been released, he said that he thinks “the Russians felt they’d probably got pretty good value out of Donald Trump when he was president of the US”.

Earlier this month, during a private speech to a room full of Republican donors, the 75-year-old brought up the clip unprompted, telling the crowd, “I’m not into golden showers.”

“You know the great thing, our great first lady – ‘That one,’ she said, ‘I don’t believe that one’,” he added.

While Mr Trump claimed that his wife, Melania, didn’t believe “that one”, former FBI director James Comey told ABC News in 2018 that the former president had actually been extremely concerned his wife would think the allegations were true.

“He said, ‘If there’s even a 1 per cent change my wife thinks that’s true, that’s terrible’,” Mr Comey recalled.

“And I remember thinking, how could your wife think there’s a 1 per cent chance you were with prostitutes peeing on each other? I’m a flawed human being but there is literally zero chance that my wife would think that was true.

“So what kind of marriage to what kind of man does your wife think there’s only a 99 per cent chance you didn’t do that?”

Asked if he believed Mr Trump’s denial about ever having taken part in the alleged golden showering, Mr Comey said “it’s possible, but I don’t know”.

“I honestly never though these words would come out of my mouth, but I don’t know whether the current President of the United States was with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow in 2013,” he said.

Retaliating to Mr Comey’s claims, back when he was still allowed on Twitter, Mr Trump called the former FBI director an “untruthful slime ball” who was responsible for some of the “worst ‘botch jobs’ of history”.

We shall see if it works.

It was the fist bump that sent shock waves around the world.

On Friday, Biden was photographed — by the Saudis, naturally — engaging in that greeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, popularly known as MBS. This was more than a little awkward, given that U.S. intelligence has concluded that MBS ordered the operation that led to the killing and dismemberment of Post contributing columnist Jamal Khashoggi. Biden once vowed to turn Saudi Arabia into a “pariah” for carrying out this murder, so the fact that he is now fist-bumping with MBS understandably provokes outrage.

I, too, recoiled at first from that distasteful image. But then I recalled that MBS is hardly the first, or even the worst, despot that U.S. presidents have greeted in similar ways. Harry Truman shook hands with Joseph Stalin, Richard Nixon with Mao Zedong — and both of those dictators had far more blood on their hands than MBS. Columnists can hurl thunderbolts of outrage from on high, but moral purity is a luxury that no leader of a great nation can afford. Every president has to pursue both America’s ideals and its interests — and often they are at odds..

The Democrats could file a lawsuit against Trump that would prevent him from being elected President.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Trump would first have to decide whether to fight the lawsuit, which would mean saying whether he was running in 2024, something he would prefer to announce at a time and place of his choosing, not when and where he is sued.

After making some procedural motions in an effort to have the case dismissed, the former president would then have to respond to discovery, including being subjected to a deposition in which he would have to answer questions under oath. Unlike the situation with the Select Committee, he would have no arguable claims of presidential privilege, so that if he refused to answer questions, the court could draw adverse inferences against him from his refusals, meaning he could no longer argue that his conduct was justified if he would not provide a factual basis for his repeated assertions that the election was stolen. Moreover, if the suit were filed now, there would be plenty of time for discovery, a trial, and an appeal before the primaries start in early 2024.

Fed Prepares to Hike Rates .75 Percentage Point

“Federal Reserve officials have signaled they are likely to raise interest rates by 0.75 percentage point later this month, for the second straight meeting, as part of an aggressive effort to combat high inflation,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“Policy makers left the door open to a larger, full-percentage-point increase at the July 26-27 gathering. But some of them simultaneously poured cold water on the idea in recent interviews and public comments ahead of their premeeting quiet period, which began Saturday.”

ATLANTA (AP) — The expanded use of drop boxes for mailed ballots during the 2020 election did not lead to any widespread problems, according to an Associated Press survey of state election officials across the U.S. that revealed no cases of fraud, vandalism or theft that could have affected the results.

The findings from both Republican- and Democratic-controlled states run contrary to claims made by former President Donald Trump and his allies who have intensely criticized their use and falsely claimed they were a target for fraud.

Drop boxes are considered by many election officials to be safe and secure, and have been used to varying degrees by states across the political spectrum. Yet conspiracy theories and efforts by Republicans to eliminate or restrict them since the 2020 election persist. This month, the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s conservative majority ruled that drop boxes are not allowed under state law and can no longer be widely used

Drop boxes also are a focal point of the film “2,000 Mules,” which used a flawed analysis of cellphone location data and ballot drop box surveillance footage to cast doubt on the results of the 2020 presidential election.

In response to the legislation and conspiracy theories surrounding drop boxes, the AP sent a survey in May to the top elections office in each state seeking information about whether the boxes were tied to fraudulent votes or stolen ballots, or whether the boxes and the ballots they contained were damaged.

All but five states responded to the questions.

None of the election offices in states that allowed the use of drop boxes in 2020 reported any instances in which the boxes were connected to voter fraud or stolen ballots. Likewise, none reported incidents in which the boxes or ballots were damaged to the extent that election results would have been affected.

A previous AP investigation found far too few cases of potential voter fraud in the six battleground states where Trump disputed his loss to President Joe Biden to affect the outcome.

A number of states — including Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas — said they do not allow the use of drop boxes. Some had not allowed them before the 2020 election, when the coronavirus pandemic prompted wider use of mailed ballots. In states where they are used, secretaries of state or election commissioners may not be aware of every incident involving a drop box if it was not reported to their office by a county or other local jurisdiction.

Drop boxes have been a mainstay in states with extensive mail voting for years and had not raised any alarms. They were used widely in 2020 as election officials sought to provide alternative ways to cast ballots with the COVID-19 outbreak creating concerns about in-person voting. The boxes also gave voters a direct method for submitting their ballots, rather than sending them through the U.S. Postal Service and worrying about delivery delays.

Starting months before the 2020 presidential election, Trump and his allies have made a series of unfounded claims suggesting that drop boxes open the door to voter fraud. Republican state lawmakers, as part of their push to add new voting restrictions, have in turn placed rules around when and where the boxes could be accessed.

The free press tells the coldheartedtruth.

January 6 committee members expect panel to receive Secret Service texts by Tuesday
By Aaron Pellish, Daniella Diaz, Katelyn Polantz and Devan Cole, CNN
Updated 1:41 PM EDT, Sun July 17, 2022

Washington(CNN)Two members of the House select committee investigating the Capitol insurrection said Sunday that they expected the panel to receive US Secret Service text messages from January 5 and 6, 2021, by Tuesday, following a subpoena issued last week for the records.

"We expect to get them by this Tuesday," Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a California Democrat, told ABC, without providing further details. "We need all the texts from the 5th and the 6th of January." Another committee member, Illinois GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger, also said Sunday he anticipates that the Secret Service will comply with the panel's subpoena by Tuesday.

Their remarks come as the select committee zeroes in on erased text messages from the Secret Service sent on January 5 and 6, 2021, shortly after they were requested by oversight officials investigating the agency's response to the attack on the US Capitol, according to a letter given to the January 6 committee and first obtained by CNN. The panel's subpoena for the phone records represents the first time it has publicly done so for an executive branch agency.
