The January 6 Committee is conducting a show trial, not a criminal one. Show trials, common in authoritarian regimes, are held for propaganda purposes, to punish political opponents, and to cover up the truth of what the regime has done.
Democrats’ show trial is completely one-sided. The members on the committee were appointed exclusively by Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. There are zero Republican-appointed members. In fact, Pelosi refused to allow the top Republicans Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy picked for the committee — an unprecedented violation of House rules and norms.
No one represents the accused or advocates for their rights. No cross-examination or presentation of a defense has been allowed from the targets of the trial. The committee does not follow House rules on evidence or witness depositions. The so-called investigation has declared off-limits any good-faith inquiry into issues that contradict their persecution, whether a look at what led to the lack of security by Capitol police forces or a look at the legitimate concerns about the unique and novel way the 2020 election was conducted.
The show trial is deeply and profoundly un-American. This week’s “surprise” hearing has already imploded under the weight of the inaccurate testimony given by young staff assistant Cassidy Hutchinson. But last Thursday’s episode also deserves scrutiny for the lies it contained.
I am curious how many fans of the committee would realize that there have been approximately 60 2020 election related convictions regarding fraud. There have been nearly 30 findings of guilt regarding the misuse of absentee ballots (many in Battleground states) and two separate findings of guilt on altering the vote count in Pennsylvania.
This does not include ongoing ballot harvesting investigations going on in several states where they are still putting together the pieces of these conspiracies, as well as other investigations ongoing across our country. There will likely be dozens more convicted when all is said and done.
I wonder how many people know exactly how many post election court cases have gone against states that made last minute changes to election procedures that went against the States legislated election laws (look for the concept of independent legislative theory to become the left's new boogieman). Judges ruling that the same actions used in 2020 are not legal and cannot be used moving forward are in abundance. In Wisconsin there were so many violations of law by executive caveat that there is a serious effort (with serious support) to uncertify their 2020 election results.
Of course none of this can be discussed by the commission, who has the job of convincing a skeptical public that the 2020 election was the most secure and fair election of all time!
Why do they need to convince the world that there was no election fraud?
Because their entire case depends not only on the "assumption" of no fraud, and not only the "assumption" that nobody actually believes there was fraud, but ultimately on the "assumption" that not even Donald Trump or any of his inner circle actually believed there was any fraud. All of these things that Giuliani and others did under the guise of election fraud was all an elaborate plan to set up the so-called "coup".
Therefore ultimately proving that there was no fraud and that nobody anywhere (including Donald Trump) believed there was fraud is the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT piece of proof that they need to push their partisan childish angry self absorbed legal theories.
Without proof that there as no fraud, then all aspects of anything criminal... fall apart.
Since they cannot prove that, certainly not to a skeptical public. They just pretend that there is no argument to be had. They simply let nobody with a contrary view speak. As the left does when they cannot win a debate, they simply shut the other argument down.
Jan 6th is built on the premise of no opposing arguments allowed. It is twitter censorship moved into politics and they would really "like" to move it into our judicial system.

Republicans Should Be Watching the January 6 Hearings
July 5, 2022 at 11:58 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 1 Comment
Former Trump White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney writes in the Charlotte Observer that Republicans should be paying attention to the January 6 Committee.
“That is because, despite all of the flaws in the structure of the heavily Democrat committee, almost all of the evidence presented so far is coming from eminently credible sources: Republicans.”
________
LOL No fair hearing.
Biden's Gun Laws Failed.
He promised.
"You know, I’m about to sign into law a bipartisan safety legi- — gun safety legislation. And time is of the essence. Lives will be saved. "
Worth repeating:
You should pay strong attention to the hearings because "...almost all of the evidence presented so far is coming from eminently credible sources:
Republicans.”
:-)
The Left boycotted them.
"Chick-fil-A is America's favorite restaurant for 8th year in a row."
So finally james thinks any republican is eminently credible. Lol.
For a so called Rev., he has zero moral base.

Lindsey Graham and Rudy Giuliani issued subpoenas in Georgia election investigation

July 05, 2022
A Georgia grand jury has subpoenaed Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and members of Donald Trump's campaign legal team.
In addition to the South Carolina Republican, the Fulton County special grand jury investigating Trump's efforts to overturn his loss has issued subpoenas to Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Cleta Mitchell, Kenneth Chesbro and Jenna Ellis, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The subpoenas were filed Tuesday and signed off by Fulton Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney, who is overseeing the grand jury and must approve summons for individuals who live out of state.
" Trump attorney with ‘unique knowledge’ ordered to testify in Georgia election case"
Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis is also engaged in legal battles with at least two current and former GOP officials, Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan and ex-state Sen. William Ligon, in Georgia over subpoenas, arguing in a recent court filing that seeking to reverse election results were not protected by legislative immunity.
The special grand jury has permission to meet until May 2023, but Willis has said she expects her investigation to end long before then.
You seem to have forgotten that the house of Representatives has the authority to investigate into the executive branch of government.

Eventually despite your irrational diatribe.
At least two more hearings are scheduled this month that aim to show that Trump illegally directed a violent mob toward the Capitol, and failed to direct supporters to stop once the siege began.
In a separate interview, another committee member, Congressman Adam Schiff, said: “There’s certainly more information that is coming forward … we are following additional leads. I think those leads will lead to new testimony.”
Schiff added that part of the reason the committee had wanted to put Hutchinson to testify would be to encourage others to do so as well. “We were hoping it would generate others stepping forward, seeing her courage would inspire them to show the same kind of courage,” he said.
As Trump reportedly mulls declaring himself a candidate for 2024 as soon as this month – a tactic, many believe, for heading off potential criminal charges – Schiff also responded to comments by Liz Cheney, committee vice-chair, that criminal referrals could result from the hearings.
“For four years, the justice department took the position that you can’t indict a sitting president. If the department were now to take the position that you can’t investigate or indict a former president then a president becomes above the law,” Schiff said. “That’s a very dangerous idea that the founders would have never subscribed to.”
Attorney General Merrick Garland will convene a grand jury and people can't take their 5th amendment rights.

Hand count in District 2 DeKalb Commission race changes runoff picture
DeKalb County, GA — The DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections Office on June 1 released the results of a hand count in the District 2 DeKalb County Commission race.
In a press release, DeKalb VRE Executive Director Keisha Smith said she felt the hand count produced an accurate result.
“The goal of the hand count was to obtain accurate results of the County Commission District 2 race, and I am confident we have achieved that objective thanks largely in part to the diligence of our staff who worked extended hours across the holiday weekend,” Smith said. We are committed to getting these tabulations right, but wanted to ensure that preliminary and unofficial results were posted as soon as practicable.”
The press release does not explain the large discrepancy between the machine count on Election Night and the subsequent hand count. It also doesn’t explain the appearance of 2,810 more votes cast than were initially reported. Spears’ total increased by 3,620. Orson’s total decreased by 1,298. Alexander’s total increased by 355.
Spears said she is turning her attention to the runoff.
“Thank you to the DeKalb Elections Board and Director Smith for revealing the corrected unofficial results of the DeKalb County Commission District 2 race,” Spears said. “I am thrilled to be in the runoff and my team is gearing up immediately. Since my opponent has been in the runoff for over a week now, we are already at a critical disadvantage in informing voters that I led the race in the Democratic Primary with over 43% of the vote — and now it is important for our team to focus on getting voters back to the polls to elect me as their next D2 Commissioner.”
Alexander said she’s also focusing on the runoff but wondered about the shifts in the vote totals.
“This is my first time experiencing an election as a candidate. Like I’m sure many other people are, I am surprised by the significant change in the reported totals from the hand count in comparison to what had previously been published by DeKalb Elections,” she said. “I am continuing to monitor the situation and will await further news about this election. It remains important to me that every vote is counted with accuracy and reflects the voters will. Due to the limited time between now and the runoff election date, I need to continue to be prepared for the runoff as we await certification, I continue to support full transparency about this election and the ensuing tabulation of results.”
Orson said his campaign is “reviewing the latest information” provided by DeKalb VRE, and he is considering his options.
“There are serious questions as to the administration of the election and computation of the results,” he said. “The idea that problems related to the programming of the voting machines and the calculation of votes could not ultimately taint every aspect of the process, including the production of the paper ballots, defies belief. We will continue to review our options, keeping at the forefront that any decision should work to foster the integrity and trustworthiness of our electoral process.”
Had Spears not raised questions on Election Night, it’s unclear whether the result would be in doubt at all. Some precincts were reporting she received zero votes – including her own precinct. Spears took pictures of the precinct-level results and showed them to Decaturish on Monday during day two of the hand count. Her supporters, including commissioners Jeff Rader and Ted Terry, began publicly raising questions about what happened.

Lindsey Graham, Rudy Giuliani Subpoenaed In GEORGIA

A Georgia grand jury has issued subpoenas to U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and the attorney Rudy Giuliani as part of an investigation of possible criminal interference in that state’s 2020 election by former President Donald Trump, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Others Trump confidants being summoned include John Eastman, Cleta Mitchell, Kenneth Chesbro and Jenna Ellis, all of whom advised Trump on strategies for overturning Joe Biden’s wins in Georgia and other swing states.
The Most Conservative Court In 90 Years
July 5, 2022 at 1:26 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 106 Comments
“In 2018 just after he announced his retirement, Justice Anthony Kennedy, who sat at the ideological center of the court for much of his 30-year tenure, met with a groups of reporters. Was he worried that some of the precedents he helped establish–the right to abortion and LGBT rights, for instance–might now be in jeopardy?
No, he replied. He was confident that constitutional rights, once established would remain in place,” NPR reports.
“It took just four years, and the addition of one more Trump appointee to the Supreme Court, to prove him wrong.”
FiveThirtyEight:
“The data emphasizes that the court is deeply polarized along partisan lines — perhaps more than it’s ever been.
There have always been ideological disagreements among the justices, and those have often pitted liberals against conservatives,
but those divides weren’t consistently linked to the justice’s appointing party.”
TIME FOR A NEWLY AROUSED DEMOCRATIC PROCESS TO START CORRECTING THAT
The split between Federalists and Anti-Federalists continued even after North Carolina joined the Union. Many citizens distrusted the Federalists, who strengthened the central government and began to persecute political dissenters. At the suggestion of Thomas Jefferson, the Anti-Federalists began calling themselves Republicans. Under this name, they grew in strength until they won the presidential election of 1800. In North Carolina, Republicans dominated state politics, and Federalists declined and practically disappeared after the War of 1812.
They have reappeared when Trump nominates three anti Federalist.
They reappeared in 1860s when they formed The Confederate Government and separated from the Federal Government.

Blessed with the pleasantly dishonest face of a swampland timeshare hustler, the former congressman, who once described himself as being a ‘fat nerd’ as a kid, rarely says anything funny or compelling, unlike his Lord & Savior Donald H. she heard Trump say. “They’re not here to hurt me. The famous phones call will get him convicted in Georgia and a felony charge???
Mitchell, a conservative lawyer based in Washington, D.C., advised Trump on the infamous Jan. 2, 2021, call that the Republican placed to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. During that conversation, in which Trump asked Raffensperger to “find” 11,780 votes, Mitchell aided Trump as he made unsubstantiated claims about Georgia’s elections.
Graham separately called Raffensperger in the days following the November 2020 elections and allegedly questioned whether the secretary of state had the power to reject more legally cast absentee ballots to help Trump narrow his deficit in Georgia. Graham denied the allegation.
Lmao 🤣

The January 6 Committee is conducting a show trial, not a criminal one. Show trials, common in authoritarian regimes, are held for propaganda purposes, to punish political opponents, and to cover up the truth of what the regime has done.
The J6 kangaroo court is a crime in and of itself. It has no jurisdiction and no authority. Nothing new has been revealed, and they're simply ginning up old accusations with no additional evidence.
I absolutely want to see Garland's DOJ bring charges. The more the merrier and the sooner the better. And then all of the assholes on this little committee get to be actual witnesses in a real trial. Subject to all of the laws and rules of an actual court of law. And subject to intense and embarrassing cross-examination.
When the GOP regains the House and Senate they need to go on a warpath of complete and utter destruction of everyone involved. Fucking RUIN these people. Preferably drive them to suicide. But so utterly fucking destroy them that they have absolutely nothing left. Do to each of them as they did to Mike Flynn. Only a thousand times worse.

They claim that the “Unselect Committee” is made up entirely of Trump-haters and that there is no cross-examination of witnesses. They complain that the committee has heavily edited the evidence, and that the full testimonies of the witnesses have not been released. They point out that some of the evidence presented is hearsay that would never see the light of day in a legitimate court hearing. And they are correct. On every single point. But they still should be paying attention. That is because, despite all of the flaws in the structure of the heavily Democrat committee, almost all of the evidence presented so far is coming from eminently credible sources: Republicans. Bill Barr is a two-time Republican U.S. Attorney General. As recently as a few weeks ago he was still defending the former president against charges of criminal activity. When he swears, under oath, that he investigated almost every allegation of voter fraud — including those in the 2000 Mules movie — and found them to be completely worthless, Republicans should pay attention. Rusty Bowers is the Republican Speaker of the House in Arizona. He campaigned for Trump and voted for him twice. And until last week at least, said he would do so again. When he swears, under oath, that Rudy Giuliani tried to cajole him into intervening in the electoral count in Arizona, and told him “We have lots of theories, we just don’t have the evidence…,” Republicans should pay attention. Cassidy Hutchinson worked for Sen. Ted Cruz and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise before working in the Trump White House. She started (working for me) in the Office of Legislative Affairs before becoming an aide to the Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

Hey "pastor"
You already produced that and it was debunked
you said "armed insurrectionists"
You know, at the capitol with guns
not away from the capitol or with baseball bats and flagpoles
Are you having problems with dementia still ?
apparently so
and still no pictures
odd or video
must be somewhere in that 14,000 hour of video they refuse to release
or not
* surely the "committee" must have gone through every second by now
and no arms...
looks a lot safer than presented
at the show trial
Banana Republic
and who attacked who first, Capitol Police or rioters ?
guess the uncut, unedited video would show that
and if police were letting people in
odd they don't want to release that
imagine if police didn't release their bodycam video on a police shooting
I think you wouldn't be so understanding
and actually here the only people who were killed were at the hands of the police
but the video remains hidden
So 60 fraud convictions, many involving multiple absentee ballots (in one case 8000 ballots) and 2 fraud convictions for altering results in Pennsylvania is what?
If not proof of fraud?

"You backstabbing son of a bitch. You go against Trump y'all known y'all mother are sitting up there lying like a damn dog," one man is heard telling Kinzinger in his message.
"Gonna come protest in front of your house this weekend. We know where your family is and we're going to get you, you little c***sucker," another man says, adding, "Gonna get your wife, gonna get your kids."
"You're going to swing for f***ing treason, you communist f***," a third caller tells the congressman.
As his tweets on Tuesday show, the deluge of criticism hasn't stopped Kinzinger from speaking out against Trump and the mob of his supporters who attempted to block the peaceful transfer of power to Joe Biden on Jan. 6.
Kinzinger, who is not seeking reelection this year, regularly engages his fellow Republicans on social media, as he did on Monday when he retweeted House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's initial reaction to the Capitol riot.
He has something you don't have anymore is empathy and honesty and courage
The Big Lie is the pretext for the refusal to accept the peaceful transfer of power to political opponents who are seen as evil and dangerous.
Forget about the dropboxes, mules, and rigged voting machines; nobody really cares about the votes or the counting of votes. It’s not about that; it’s about winning — or to be more precise, defeating the enemy.
A subtext of right-wing politics now is that the other side simply cannot be allowed to win. They hate America, they hate God, and they will destroy everything you hold dear.

Well he should receive the same attention (or lack thereof) that Kavanagh got when a would be assassin was arrested outside his house.
Your own words frightened me because I have known you for 22 years and you actually made no sense.
It makes complete sense to any reasonably thinking person. The fact is that you are just so gaslighted that you do not understand the underlying issues here Roger.
They cannot arrest Trump for setting alternative electors. They are allowed under the constitution and used in multiple elections. They cannot arrest him for pushing election fraud cases. They cannot arrest him for any legal actions he took. They cannot arrest him for holding a rally on Jan 6th. They cannot arrest him for "incitement" when he stated flat out that he wanted them to be peaceful.
They cannot arrest him for any single issue they are putting together here. They can only claim that all of these legal actions become illegal because he had some sort of corrupt intent.
When cannot be proven if anyone believes Trump had a case... or even if they believe that Trump believes he had a case.
I know this is over your head, Nursing home man. Had you gone to college then you might have a bit more understanding. But as it stands you are uneducated and easily manipulated.
