According to the four-page motion, a judge signed and approved of the search warrant on Aug. 5, the Friday before the search was executed. The Justice Department also seeks to reveal the property receipt listing the seized items and filed today with the court. The DOJ only seeks the disclosure of the warrant, the property receipt and attachments describing property to be searched and items to be seized, legal experts say. They are not requesting the affidavit laying out probable cause. So basically this will tell almost nothing that we already do not know. We know that they searched the residence. We know that they took things (although there will likely be a list that likely just includes generic references to paperwork). But we do not know WHY, which I am pretty sure is the question being asked here by pretty much everyone?
But isn't it amazing how the liberal side of the press jumped on Garland's statement as if he was going to give everyone what they wanted to know? When in fact, the reasons for a raid (rather than another subpoena) will be left unanswered.
What a hack!

On Monday, Trump confirmed that federal authorities searched Mar-a-Lago, his primary residence following his presidency.
“The former president publicly confirmed the search that evening, as is his right,” the AG said, adding that he “personally” signed off on the decision. That confirmation contradicts anonymously sourced reporting by Newsweek that Garland had no prior knowledge of it.
Though the affidavit supporting that search wasn’t public before the conference, FBI agents reportedly received court authorization to look for classified information believed to be in the former president’s possession and belonging to the U.S. government.
Garland has faced intense scrutiny since Trump said his house was “raided,” as Republicans lined up to accuse the Justice Department — without evidence — of political motivations.
The AG criticized what he called those “unfounded” attacks.
“The men and women of the FBI and the Justice Department are dedicated patriotic public servants,” he said. “Every day, they protect the American people from violent crime, terrorism and other threats to their safety while safeguarding our civil rights. They do so at great personal sacrifice and risk to themselves. I am honored to work alongside them. ”
You dishonor them
Roger...
Can you explain the point of your comment?
It literally is just you rehashing what everyone already knows... and placing certain things in "bold" as if they are somehow more important? Everyone here knows about the Garland speech. It was four minutes long. We all knew what he was going to say before he said it (which was nothing).
This is the sort of cut and pasting that drives people away. It literally does no good. It provides no opinion, no debate, no argument...
and no fucking point?
Why on god's green earth are you incapable of stopping?
Scott, you called it.
Roger and James are confused.
Worth pointing out Roger's continued failures.
Roger has no response.

So Roger...
where are you getting the idea that Trump can "oppose" the release of the Warrant? According to Garland, even he has to "request" the released - but liberal journalists have been arguing that it is on Trump (not Garland or the FBI) to release it?
Just curious where you got this idea
This guy was on the Capital building insurrection.
An armed man wearing body armor tried to breach the FBI’s Cincinnati field office Thursday, authorities said, sparking an hours-long standoff with officers, who said they killed the man after trying “less-than-lethal tactics” to detain him.
CH SAYS
So basically this will tell almost nothing that we already do not know.
__________
Well if THAT'S the case,
there is absolutely no reason for Donald not to share with everyone both the warrant AND the listing of things taken.
Why does he not do that?
Simple question.
So Reverend...
You provided me with four different comments that all basically stated the same thing? Why on earth do you and Roger have to create multiple comments to say the same thing.
But to answer the question... Trump attorneys still claim they do not have it.
Secondly, if Garland cannot legally release anything without going back to the original judge to request it...
what makes you think that Trump can just do it?
Not to mention... why is the left all goosestepping the concept that Trump (not Garland) is responsible for releasing that information?
Can you explain that to me?
Once in one comment rather than a half dozen times in a half dozen different comments?
Whoops! Trump has until 3pm tomorrow to respond.
Roger and James are confused.
It’s wanton stupidity
The Justice Department has been instructed by the court to confer with Trump about its request to unseal certain warrant documents from the FBI Mar-a-Lago search and to tell the court by Friday 3 p.m. ET if he opposes their release.
Trump’s team has contacted outside attorneys about how to proceed. Among the options they are considering is challenging the Justice Department’s motion to unseal the warrant, a source familiar with the discussion says.
He will not oppose the release the report
