Here are some interesting facts that seem "inconsistent" with the Biden Garland DOJ rhetoric...

From Real Clear Investigations

The White House Documents show that both a secured briefing and secured storage facility was set up in Mar-a-Lago! When did that change? Did the Biden Administration DOJ/FBI ask that those documents to remain there... only to later revoke the secure status of the facility? Had the DOJ/FBI told Trump to keep those documents there, then would a letter from the National Archives override that?

Bottom line:

Looks like Trump took records to what (at the time) was a official secure location at Mar-a-Lago. This has been confirmed in White House documents. The FBI was there in about a year later (Jan 22) and told them to keep them there, but to put additional locks up.

They send a letter in June (obviously during the midths of the dispute between Trump and the Archives) to keep the records secure at that location.

Then a month later 30 armed agents raid Mar-a-Lago.

Somewhere in all of that, the only person who could (Joe Biden) must of revoked the security status of Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. If that doesn't seem fishy to you, then something is seriously wrong with you.

Trump’s Legal Team Scrambles to Find an Argument
August 28, 2022 at 9:29 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 37 Comments

New York Times:
“As the partial release of the search warrant affidavit on Friday, including the May 25 letter, illustrated, Mr. Trump is going into the battle over the documents with a hastily assembled team. The lawyers have offered up a variety of arguments on his behalf that have yet to do much to fend off a Justice Department that has adopted a determined, focused and so far largely successful legal approach.

“Often tinged with Mr. Trump’s own bombast and sometimes conflating his powers as president with his role as a private citizen, the legal arguments put forth by his team sometimes strike lawyers not involved in the case as more about SETTING A POLITICAL NARRATIVE than about dealing with the possibility of a federal prosecution.”

__________

My comment:
When Trump's hastily assembled team* are having to scramble for a viable defense while Trump himselfjust keeps bloviating irrelevant political accusations, I'd say things are not looking too good for Trump.

Better read through this, Ch.
Minus the redacted portions, it's only less than 19 actual pages long.

Truth Social, the app launched by Donald Trump as a free speech platform for conservatives, is facing serious financial and legal stress at it tries to survive.

Why it matters: The app is the former president's biggest business venture since leaving office — and his best effort to create an alternative populist megaphone to amplify his political brand after being banned from Twitter.

But for now at least, it's following a chaotic trajectory like so many of Trump's other businesses.

The bottom is that the 184 documents could be his biggest mistake in his life.

The FBI searched former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home this month after reviewing 184 classified documents that were kept there since he left the White House, including several with Trump’s apparent handwriting on them, and interviewing a “significant number” of witnesses, court filings unsealed Friday say.

The details contained in a search-warrant affidavit and related memo crystallize much of what was already known about the criminal probe into whether Trump and his aides took secret government papers and did not return all of the material — despite repeated demands from senior officials. The documents, though heavily redacted, offer the clearest description to date of the rationale for the unprecedented Aug. 8 search and the high-stakes investigation by the Justice Department into a former president who may run again for the White House.

The affidavit suggests that if some of the classified documents voluntarily returned from Mar-a-Lago to the National Archives and Records Administration in January had fallen into the wrong hands, they could have revealed sensitive details about human intelligence sources or how spy agencies intercept the electronic communications of foreign targets. Over the spring and summer, the affidavit states, the FBI came to suspect that Trump and his team were hiding the fact that he still had more classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, leading agents to want to conduct a search of the property..
----

They were illegally placed in his Mar-a-Lago residence. He faces three possible violations of the law.

Happy Monday 😊

The party of Eisenhower and Nixon and Bush and McCain and Romney is gone.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday warned of “riots in the streets” if former President Trump is prosecuted for his handling of classified materials found when the FBI searched his Mar-a-Lago home.

“If there’s a prosecution of Donald Trump for mishandling classified information, after the Clinton debacle… there’ll be riots in the streets,” Graham told former South Carolina congressman Trey Gowdy, who now hosts Fox News’ “Sunday Night in America.”

The Republican Party of Trump is a fascist party.

Why did the former President take those documents with him to Mar-A-Lago AFTER leaving the presidency, and why did he lie to the FBI about having returned them all when he had not?

Could we have a simple answer to that simple question.

Apparently both the Reverend and Roger believe everyone needs a refresher on the how the DOJ is justifying things... as if the DOJ has not continuously liked about Donald Trump going all the way back to Crossfire Hurricane (where internal documents show that they purposely lied to push that investigation)?

To give the DOJ and FBI the benefit of the doubt right now regarding the bad orange man would be an exercise in foolishness!

Well two reasons!

First the 1978 Presidential act states that Presidents take all of their documents, packs them up, and takes them with them to eventually provide to the National Archives. As stated before, Obama took 33 million pages of documents. Pretty sure he didn't personally go through 33 million pages.

Secondly - according to newly found Official documents, Mar-a-Lago had both a secured briefing room and a secured storage facility. The only reason it would not longer be considered such is if Joe Biden (as President) wrote a EO to revoke that status.

So either the FBI "LIED" in their affidavit when they stated that they did not believe that the Mar-a-Lago facility was officially secure or Biden is hiding that he revoked Mar-a-Lago without notifying the former President that he did so.

So why don't you answer as to which way you believe that went?

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

First, why hasn't Trump been trumpeting that he had a secured facility? I don't recall him claiming that at all.
Why not?

Second, Obama definitely did not take 33 million documents to his private home in Chicago.

Well Reverend...

First, the documents showing that Mar-a-Lago was a secured briefing and storage facility have been drifting around Twitter and other places for several days.

Sorry you don't get out much.

But more importantly...

Perhaps the fact that it is August 2022 and he has been out of office since Jan of 2021 and has had these documents there going on two years and the FBI has been there previously, told Secret Service to put another lock on the facility, had sent him at least two letters telling him to keep them there...

and had not arrested him or even asked him to move them...

Can you tell me why the FBI didn't arrest him back in January when they first came and took 15 boxes that they felt should be in Government hands if keeping them there was against the law and the actual documents marked "classified" documents were criminal in nature and storing them there was criminal?

Do you find it odd that the Affidavit does not refer to "classified" documents, but rather documents "marked" classified (as if they are acknowledging that they may no longer be classified.

Do you find it strange that they are looking at what "exposure" these documents might have caused without ANY evidence what-so-ever that they ever left the storage facility (these are paper documents - not electronic documents on a server that can be hacked).

Do you really believe that the Russians or Chinese or Iranians snuck into Mar-a-Lago under Secret Service and private security noses and stole the documents from the room?

It's been at least seven months since the FBI confirmed that there were documents in Mar-a-Lago? Yet they did nothing of any substance.

Why? What changed and when did it change?

Why raid... 91 days before the election

If something changed in the designation of Mar-a-Lago - then what was it?
