Interesting timing?

Last Friday the Judge overseeing the FBI raid filed her official intent to appoint a Special Master and then on Monday the FBI admits that they took privileged information?

Obviously the FBI has been filtering through papers for three weeks now. Is it really just a coincidence that they decide now to admit that they took (and obviously have looked through) privileged information. Without first looking at things, you cannot determine if you are looking at information that it privileged. Once you have seen it, you cannot unsee it.

Thus the need for a special master that should have been installed from the beginning to make sure these sort of blatant errors should not have happened. Under more normal circumstances, if any law enforcement took more documents than they were supposed and/or viewed documents that they were not supposed to, all of the documents could be declared poison and inadmissible for any court filings.

In this case... I doubt the FBI cares. I suspect that they have no intentions of charging Trump for anything associated with the raid which is why they started rummaging through everything while resisting calls for the special master. Their intention was probably to make it look like Trump was being a criminal by raiding his home and then they likely hoped they could find other embarrassing information from the search to "leak" to the public.

After all.. political prosecution through media leaks has been the modus operandi from the start here.

Why would they care? They can operate in the most lawless way imaginable with absolute impunity and no repercussions.

The FBI really is a modern day STASI/GESTAPO. Free to storm whoever they want.

The investigation has been going 17on for over a year now, since late January in 2021.

All evidence points to Trump knowingly and willfully removing classified documents for his own purposes. Obstruction of justice and the 1917.

They are not FBI agents. They are a few people who have access to top secret documents.

Intelligence agents are investigating potential national security risks caused by Trump keeping documents at Mar-a-Lago

Roger...

They have a "taint team" made up of FBI agents... which is different from a special master (who is assigned by a Judge as a neutral official).

Again... if this raid was a serious effort to gather evidence to make a criminal case then they would be bending over backwards to make sure everything is done as carefully and non-politically as possible. The very first thing they would have done is assign a special master (on their own request) to make sure they could not be accused of overstepping their boundaries.

The problem is not just political but legal. Entire searches are routinely thrown out by judges if the warrant, raid, etc is not done by the books. They start looking at things that they are not authorized to and it is a violation of the 4th amendment. Plain and simple.

The FBI has undercut Trump

FBI agents have already finished their examination of possibly privileged documents seized in an Aug. 8 search of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, according to a Justice Department court filing Monday that could undercut the former president’s efforts to have a special master appointed to review the files.

The Special Master would be reading the information the FBI already had.

Except in this case where 4th Amendment violations could be legion, but because the left's TDS is at Stage IV+, and they hate the bad orange man with a searing blinding, spittle-flecked rage, Trump's rights go out the window in service of the leftist agenda. I keep a little meme on my screen for use in political discussions when someone invokes Nazis.

It looks like an elementary school reading textbook titled, “Everyone I Don’t Like is Hitler!” Next to a cartoon sketch of der fuhrer, the subtitle is “The emotional child’s guide to political discussion.”

I send that image to people, usually liberals, who see a revival of the Third Reich in every conservative thought or deed. Frankly, it’s offensive that some people can go from zero to Nazi in a single syllogism — like, Hitler was a right-winger, this-or-that candidate is a right-winger, therefore he or she is an incipient Hitler.

That disrespects the suffering, persecution and murder of millions of people. Nazis stand alone in the modern history of evil and calling every bigot and tyrant one of those goose-stepping sadists is emotionally childish.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

It's not going to happen 😕

But the justice department’s note in the filing that they had already finished going through the seized materials could serve to undercut Trump’s motion. Judge Aileen Cannon, overseeing the case, could decide there is no longer a point in a special master in light of the development.

The department also said a “classification review” of the documents Trump took is being conducted by the FBI and the director of national intelligence. The search warrant affidavit revealed the intelligence community feared their presence at Mar-a-Lago could compromise human clandestine sources.

The research has been done

Also...

Why (oh why) would the FBI (if they did everything correctly) be opposed to a Special Master?

A special master could then just "double check" their work, huh?

What would they have to fear... other than showing a neutral party (assigned by a Judge) what they already looked at (that they were not supposed to)?

Hoover was a cross-dressing piece of shit who surveilled no less that Dr. MLK Jr.. Mueller's tenure resulted in a series of railroaded convictions, the supposed anthrax terrorist received millions after suing the FBI, and they even managed to fuck up the Atlanta Olympic bomber a ruin a guys life.

The FBI is fucking garbage, through and through. It needs to be thoroughly and completely destroyed.

In truth, the entire apparatus of permanent government—the Pentagon hierarchy, the Washington elites at the FBI and CIA, the permanently entrenched at the Justice Department, and the apparat at the IRS all despised Donald Trump. And they did not just hate him but acted on their antipathy by using their powers of government to destroy his campaign in 2016, to undermine his transition, to either obstruct or sabotage his initiatives while president, and to hound him as an ex-president. As ex-felon and FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith put it of his own illegal effort to destroy a president, “Viva le [sic] resistance.” Is that the sort of FBI we want—a cadre of self-described revolutionaries?

Donald Trump was impeached for raising the question of Biden family corruption in Ukraine with the Ukrainian president and delaying offensive military aid that had never been approved by a Democratic president.

Actually...

All evidence points to a President leaving the White House and taking his Presidential papers with him as every President before him has done. No matter what is in his Mar-a-Lago secured storage facility - it was part of the process of Mark Meadows (who Trump put in charge) organizing the collection of papers that were at the White House and sending them to a secured location that the FBI was aware of...

oh... and until June of this year (17 months later) the FBI was not just okay with them being there, but they sent multiple letters telling him to keep them secured in that location.

So.... yeah.

Sorry. But you have the facts wrong!

The FBI was in the middle of this true insurrection, meant to derail a presidential campaign, election, transition, and administration with fabricated claims of collusion, lying to Congress and the American people, and then attempting to cover everything up via the Muller/Weissman investigation, including a recent raid on Mar-a-Lago to possibly confiscate incriminating Spygate documents in President Trump’s possession.

Other Obama administration agencies and officials were also involved but the FBI was in the thick of it, with Director James Comey and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Other familiar names include Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok and his girlfriend FBI attorney Lisa Page.

So now it comes out, conclusively, that the FBI BURIED THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY BEFORE THE ELECTION knowing that, if they didn’t, “Trump would have easily won the 2020 Presidential Election.” This is massive FRAUD & ELECTION INTERFERENCE at a level never seen before in our Country. REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!

There’s just one giant problem for the FBI. Biden did not assume office until two days later. When those trucks arrived at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump was still president. The decision to repose classified documents in Mar-a-Lago was a presidential decision. Joe Biden might not have agreed with Trump’s decision keep these records after leaving office. But this situation is no different than Trump’s decision to share intelligence with the Russians. He made an executive decision to repose classified documents in his personal residence.

Like the Russians, Trump received the documents from a president—himself. He did not break the law by receiving them. He does not break the law by continuing to possess them. As the Wall Street Journal has noted, the president’s constitutional authority over classified documents trumps any statute purporting to make his continued possession of these documents illegal. All Trump needs to argue is that when he shipped the documents to Mar-a-Lago, he intended to modify the classifications so he could keep them after he left office. Does anyone think he shipped them to Mar-a-Lago without the intention of keeping them? No, of course not.

The get-Trump figures have argued that Trump lacked the authority to convert these documents into his own property because they were the property of the U.S. government. But that is a matter of civil adjudication, not a crime. And it has nothing to do with Trump’s power to modify the classified nature of these documents consistent with his post-presidency status. If Trump took the documents with the intent to keep them, it’s absurd to argue that, while still president, he did not intend to modify the classified nature of the documents consistent with that intent.

Now the FBI and the Justice Department want to overrule that presidential decision to move the documents to Mar-a-Lago and criminalize their political opponent, the former president. By removing the documents from Mar-a-Lago without presidential approval, the FBI seized executive power away from the elected leadership of this country.

Report Ad

The FBI would do well to remember that it has no constitutional authority except what it borrows from the elected president. It must not be allowed to act as a super branch of government with the authority to nullify the decisions of an elected president made while he continued to hold office.

In modern times, China totally fits that description.

There is only one party, i.e., the Chinese Communist Party, that rules with an iron fist. The economy is run by the government. Most companies, including 'private' enterprises, are subjected to punishing state regulations if not active government control. The government is often a partner in these firms. The media is run by the state. The citizen is fed propaganda. Any sign of political dissent and the opponent is crushed with extreme force. Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai who alleged she was sexually assaulted by a powerful Chinese official was compelled to retract her statement and retire from the game.

How about America under Biden?

COVID-19 was used to impose lockdowns that infringe on the right to freedom of movement and the right to earn a living.

The right of choice was overstepped upon by vaccine mandates; some were compelled to quit their jobs owing to their skepticism about the vaccine, and some who reluctantly took the vaccine to remain employed, are suffering from health issues. Now that they are exposed, the Democrats are blaming Trump for the vaccine, as always.

Dissent is grounds for vilification. Parents who opposed the teaching of critical race theory in school were labeled domestic terrorists.

The Biden administration set up the Orwellian ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ that sits in judgment of the utterances of regular citizens. Apparently, it's been gotten rid of, but it is impossible to trust a government with such a record of mendacity.

The nation is subjected to a series of disinformation campaigns, the Russian collusion hoax, the Ukraine call hoax, and now the insurrection hoax.

Donald Trump was the sole target of these hoaxes and is being persecuted via a series of gratuitous probes and  investigations. His crime was challenging the establishment and the deep state and vowing to ‘drain the swamp.’

There was an unprecedented raid without any basis on Trump’s Florida home of Mar-a-Lago. The FBI, which conducted the raid, released a mostly redacted affidavit that even obscures the reason for the raid.

This is how secret police functions in fascist nations.

Ornato may have played a key role in the insurrection at the Capitol. On January 6, he reportedly sought to relocate Vice President Mike Pence to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, which could have delayed the certification of the 2020 presidential election.

According to explosive testimony from Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson to the House January 6 committee, Ornato told her that he was in the car with Trump when the president demanded to be driven to the Capitol, against advice, and allegedly lunged for the steering wheel.

Ornato has reportedly met with the January 6 committee twice, in January and March, as part of its investigation, discussing Trump’s knowledge of Pence’s location during the unrest on January 6.

Symptoms include wearing red MAGA hats, chanting "Build That Wall", and bashing other Conservatives who refuse to support Trump's big government positions such as increased debt and his support of some gun control measures that contradict conservative & libertarian ideology.

A senior FBI official in the bureau’s Washington field office has abruptly resigned after coming under congressional scrutiny for suspected political bias in handling the investigation of Hunter Biden’s computer laptop.

The Washington Times learned that Timothy Thibault, an assistant special agent in charge, was forced to leave his post according to two former FBI officials familiar with the situation.

Mr. Thibault was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator last Friday escorted by two or three “headquarters-looking types,” according to eyewitness accounts provided to one of the former officials.

It is unclear if Mr. Thibault, a 25-year FBI veteran who was on leave for at least a month following revelations about political statements he made while leading the public corruption unit, left on his own accord or was forced out.

The FBI declined to comment. Attempts to contact Mr. Thibault were unsuccessful.

Republican lawmakers have been scrutinizing Mr. Thibault for making anti-Trump statements in social media posts in 2020. At the time, he was helping lead the FBI’s probe of Hunter Biden, whose father, President Biden, was running for the White House.

In February and September of 2020, Mr. Thibault liked separate Washington Post opinion pieces critical of Attorney General William Barr for not more aggressively prosecuting Mr. Trump’s political allies and close associates.

Mr. Thibault also retweeted a post by the Republican anti-Trump group Lincoln Project that called Mr. Trump “a psychologically broken, embittered and deeply unhappy man.”

During recent testimony before the Senate, FBI Director Christopher A. Wray dodged questions about Mr. Thibault and his social media posts. He called it “ongoing personnel matters.”

Mr. Thibault, according to the former official, was also known for pushing out unvaccinated agents from the FBI’s election squad that he suspected to be Trump supporters.

One of the former officials, who is also a whistleblower talking to the House Judiciary Committee, was placed on indefinite suspension last year by the bureau because he attended the “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021, that preceded a pro-Trump mob storming of the Capitol. The former officials said he never entered the Capitol.

After resigning late last year, he claimed other FBI officials were “purged” for attending the rally on their own time and not on official FBI business.

“Look, I think some of the executives that were involved in my indefinite suspension are the same cast of characters involved in pulling security clearances for conservative employees in retaliation for their disfavored political speech,” he said.

Sen. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, sought records from the Department of Justice in late May regarding the work history of Mr. Thibault following reports about the agents’ politically-charged bias on social media platforms.

Mr. Grassley told The Times on Monday that Mr. Thibault’s departure from the FBI would not resolve questions about his political bias impacting federal investigations

“Mr. Thibault’s blatant partisanship undermined the work and reputation of the FBI. This type of bias in high-profile investigations casts a shadow over all of the bureau’s work that he was involved in, which ranged from opening an investigation into Trump based on liberal news articles to shutting down investigative activity into Hunter Biden that was based on verified information,” Mr. Grassley said in a statement to The Times.

The scam of socialism has always been a wealth transfer to the rich.  Biden's bailout proves that.

Why do certain rich people advocate socialism?

Think about that for a second.  If you listen to any of the propaganda from the nation's collectivist left, the one thing that will come through clearly is a complete hatred of the rich.

It starts with the infamous "tax the rich" dress worn by AOC and degrades from there.

So why would any rich person in his right mind advocate socialism, communism, fascism, and statism?  At best, it would mean that his wealth would supposedly be redistributed, and at the worst, he would be thrown into a concentration camp, into a gulag, or up against a wall.

Why would any rich person advocate collectivism when that is supposed to happen?

Certain, very wealthy people are on board with the Great Reset (well worth the read).  Before anyone trots out the tired song and dance, they are fascists.  Collectivists all have the same commonalities, and fascism is socialism with a capitalist veneer.

Why do certain socialists become rich?

This is the companion to our first question, and the answer satisfies both inquiries because it reveals a stark truth that ruling-class collectivists are desperate to keep hidden.  We're making the distinction between the ruling class and the rank and file for a reason.

As is always the case, when you want to know what is going on, you must start with the basics and build from there.  The dirty little secret is that activists of the anti-liberty left have defined words to be vague but positive-sounding
