Just yesterday, Federal Judge Aileen Cannon declined to lift any part of an order she issued last week.
The order barred the Department of Justice from using records obtained by the F.B.I. during their raid on Trump’s estate, Mar-a-Lago, until an appointed arbiter, known as a Special Master, had completed a review.
Judge Cannon had appointed semi-retired Judge Raymond J. Dearie a Special Master who has the authority to sift through the documents and set aside using any that potentially were covered by attorney-client privilege or, in a legally disputed move, executive privilege.For the life of me, I cannot figure out why the idea of a little transparency and third party oversight has the left seething mad. But it does. There have been literal calls to remove Cannon from the bench and having her disbarred. There have been cries about this being the "worse" ruling in history (as if anyone really had any understanding of special masters until a few weeks ago).
But now the left is freaking out over the idea that any appeal will end up with an appellate court also made up of several Trump appointees. If the DOJ loses there, then any further appeal would end up being assigned to Clarence Thomas for initial review. I have a gut feeling that the DOJ does not want this case anywhere near the full USSC for any sort of argument.
Either way, this is a whole heck of a lot of effort and a whole heck of a lot of rage over the idea that the DOJ will have a neutral party overseeing these events? After using known fake information to open and continue investigations on Trump in the past, it seems obvious that they cannot be trusted to be "neutral" and "fair" when it comes to the bad orange man. Apparently there is even overlap from those who worked on the fake Russian collusion investigation and those working on this. That would be unconscionable.
But that seems to be the point for many on the left. They don't want Trump to get a fair shake or for the DOJ or FBI to follow any rules. This is bring Trump down by any means possible and if that takes more fake investigations and attacking anyone getting in the way, well then that is what they will do.

They cannot deal with the very real possibility that Trump could run for President in 2024 and actually win. That makes them out of their mind crazy and they are acting as much.

What was the motive behind the raid, the redaction of the affidavit, and the pushback against the Special Master?
The goal is to purposefully create a vacuum of mystery around the raid. They know the news will fill the void with their myriad fabrications.
The Washington Post was the first to fabricate.
The paper claimed that the F.B.I. was looking for classified documents related to nuclear weapons during their raid. The sources were obviously anonymous and the details or proof were absent. But the lie traveled around the U.S. and is being used to justify the raid.
Some 'experts' have called the raid has been called Trump’s Al Capone moment, i.e.. a situation where a crime boss is not found guilty for his crimes but instead for process violations.
The peddlers of these lies are cautious to place question marks at the end of their allegations, although, at times, they do not.
In time, they will claim the ‘walls are closing in’ and Trump could be indicted soon, but no proof will be provided.
This will continue all through the 2024 elections and perhaps even after Trump is elected.
