Quote of the day!

DEMOCRATS MOVE TO CRIMINALIZE OPPOSITION
Given the thorough corruption of the Department of Justice under Merrick Garland, there is a reasonable possibility that the Democrats will move to imprison both Donald Trump and other prominent Republicans. I suppose they think they are secure, because Republicans would never follow such a third-world precedent. I don’t know about that. In any event, there is a more fundamental question: are the Democrats trying to trigger a civil war, as they did in 1861? Judging from their actions, I think the question must be taken seriously.

There is no question that partisanship investigation has rocketed up under Merrick Garland. From labeling concerned Parents as domestic terrorists, to calling anyone who questions the election results to be a traitor, to seemingly moving towards pressing charges against the ex-facto leader of the opposition Party over what ultimately is a dispute over a non-criminal Presidential record keeping act... they are going off the deep end.

It is no secret that if they do charge Trump that there will be outrage. Not just from Republicans either. I know many run of the mill moderates who believe that charging Trump is literally Democrats firing the first shots in an attempt to wage a civil war. They know that such a move will trigger millions and many feel that this is something the left wants. To pretend that this is not their doing, but to provoke conservatives and make them look as if they are the instigators. Little more than just more excuses to punish more political opposition.

The survey asked, “Do you feel as safe in America today as you did 2 years ago?”

Most, 67.9 percent, said they do not feel as safe in America today as they did two years ago when Trump was in the White House. Another 27.1 percent said they do feel as safe, and five percent remain unsure.

Both Republicans and independents, 86.8 percent and 64.1 percent, respectively, said they do not feel as safe in Biden’s America. Democrats remain relatively split, as a plurality, 47.8 percent, said they feel just as safe today as they did two years ago. However, 44.9 percent of Democrats said they do not feel as safe. "

Why should there be civil war if a legitimate election is held and a president is elected whom many people in our country do not like.

Trump lost the popular vote and was strongly disliked by a majority of our people his entire presidentcy, having never once gotten above water in his job approval, yet we did not have civil war for his legally carrying the battleground states and winning the electoral votes.

If Trump is now legally charged with crimes, has his day(s) in court, and is legally found guilty and sentenced, why should there be civl war for legally carrying out the law?

Joey Shit Pants' Philly tirade was exactly that - a provocation. That speech was delivered on a hope and a prayer that maybe, just maybe, if just one 'Trump supporter' could be provoked into an act of violence then the entire left could point to it and say:

"See? See? What we've been saying about these semi-fascist MAGA republicans is true!!!"

Except the exact opposite happened. It was some leftist simp who murdered a kid with his SUV,. A leftist simp who walks free today on $50K bail while folks who did a little "parading" on J6 are sitting in solitary confinement being denied their right to a speedy trial.

With the left having complete control over the media, if a civil war does erupt at the hands of the left it will most certainly be reported as being started and waged by the right and the ignorant masses will lap it right up.

At this point I don't think there's any question that Trump will be indicted on some trumped up, complete bullshit set of charges AFTER the mid-terms. And the desire of the left will be that of just what they desired after Joe's Philly speech. A violent reaction from the right. And if we don't take the bait, then you can fully expect some ridiculous false flag 'Patriot Front-esque' reaction from the left orchestrated by Garland's DOJ and carried out by the STASI FBI.

Every act carried out by the current regime is treasonous and they know it. From the intentional destruction of the economy and with it, the middle class, to our southern border illegal alien invasion with it's unmitigated flow of violence and fentanyl, to our complete dependence upon foreign energy when we have plenty of our own, to our withdrawal from Afghanistan and those needlessly murdered... the list goes on and on.

The problem with ALL of this is simple and it's a big one: We are beyond the point of voting our way out of this. The left knows it, our fucking imbecile Republican "leaders" (LOL) know it, and we are rapidly approaching a time when those of us who simply want to be left alone finally figure it out.

There's the tipping point the left is pining for.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) “got lots of laughs at the expense of ex-President Donald Trump while lamenting the current state of national politics at an upstate business convention Thursday night,” the New York Post reports.

Said Christie: “We have a former president of the United States who went on national television last night and said ‘I declassified the documents thinking about it.’ Imagine all I could have accomplished if I only knew that I didn’t actually have to do it. I just had to think about it – this is a credible candidate for 2024.”

Relegating him to the hospice blog where he was given full authorship rights on as well as having him direct people to there from here was more than fair.

He once again lied about what his actions going forward were going to be and he continues on.

It will drop the comment threads by at least 50% more but at least they will be organic comment threads, not regurgitated Goddard.

Combined with roger that drop would be about 80% I would guess and would really clean things up

Twitter users slammed NBC News on Friday for deleting a tweet about the illegal immigrant relocation from Florida to Martha’s Vineyard which compared the migrants to "trash."

The now-deleted tweet and corresponding NBC News story quoted Max Lefeld, founder of Casa Venezuela Dallas foundation – a charity group dedicated to helping refugees – who described the relocation as taking out the "trash."

"It’s like me taking my trash out and just driving to different areas where I live and just throwing my trash there," Lefeld told the outlet in order to paint the move, ordered by Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., as a dehumanizing political stunt.

NBC News’ tweet about the story featured Lefeld’s comment front and center, stating, "Florida Gov. This is how easy it is to gaslight stupid people....

No Reverend. There were those who actually did get into physical confrontations with police officers and some who did knock out a window. Nobody is defending them.

That was a small fraction of those who were arrested.

It is the others... who are charged with similar crimes and given jail time for just being there.

It's not that you are so dumb as to not know the difference.

It's just that it is much easier to obscure the difference (lie as it were) about the majority of those arrested.

The complaint on the women who just served 60 days in jail showed three r four pictures of here in the crowd. The descriptions of events claim that a police officer was attacked (by someone else) nearby her.

There was not even an allegation that she broke a window or attacked a polic officer or did anything violent herself.

She was given jail time.

Are you able to see the difference Reverend?

Or are you so gaslighted by rhetoric that your mind shuts this sort of logical thought process out?

Migrants in Martha’s Vineyard given shelter at Joint Base Cape Cod
Rachel Nostrant
Thu, September 22, 2022

Thw migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard last week by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis have been given a safe haven at Joint Base Cape Cod, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

“On Friday, September 16, the Commonwealth offered the migrants a voluntary transition from Martha’s Vineyard facility to Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC),” the press release revealed. “State officials provided transportation to individuals and families from the island to a temporary shelter on JBCC, where a broad range of services have been established to support urgent needs.”

Included in those services are access to health care and crisis counseling, translators, food, clothing, and case managers to help with temporary housing and even education services for children, the press release said.

More than 100 National Guard members were activated in response, the press release also confirmed. The Massachusetts National Guard declined to comment.

Taryn Fenske, DeSantis’ communications director, said the flights were scheduled in an effort to “transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations,” but according to the victims and their representatives, they were lured to the area under false pretenses.

The migrants were allegedly promised that after being flown to Martha’s Vineyard, a wealthy vacation spot for many New York and Boston elite, they would be taken to Boston, Julio Henriquez, an attorney who met with several migrants, told the Associated Press.

“They had no idea of where they were going or where they were,” he said.

Henriquez said that after the migrants’ initial arrival at a city-run shelter in San Antonio, a woman approached them and moved them into a nearby La Quinta Inn, where she reportedly made daily food runs. She allegedly promised the migrants jobs and three months of housing in Washington, New York, Philadelphia and Boston.

Many of the migrants are asylum-seekers, having fled the authoritarian regime in Venezuela, and while asylum seekers in the U.S. have limited rights compared to full citizens, the U.S. Constitution does protect them from improper treatment by the government and from discrimination based on race or national origin.

Trump and Hannity Are Hurting the Republican Party

Jonathan Bernstein:
“Trump had a bad day on Wednesday, with New York State filing suit against him for inflating the value of his properties and a federal appellate court ruling against him in his battle with the federal government over his possession of classified documents.

So what did the former president do? He went on Sean Hannity’s prime-time show on Fox News to complain.

He had a completely bizarre diatribe about, among other things, how he could declassify things while president just by thinking it (uh, no)
and his even goofier theory that the FBI may have been looking for Hillary Clinton’s emails at Mar-a-Lago.

“What Fox News gets out of all this is clear: viewers.
What Trump gets out of it is also clear: the attention he craves, which also helps him remain the most prominent Republican in the nation — which helps his chances of winning the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 if he wants it.

“What the Republican Party gets out of this is … well, nothing good.”

MY ANSWER:
Jenna Ryan went to jail because she was an active, willing, approving participant in an illegal act of entry and interference, not an innocent bystander.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

___________

BACKUP:
WASHINGTON POST:
A Texas real estate agent who bragged after Jan. 6 that as a blonde White woman she would not be going to jail for joining in the assault on the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob was sentenced Thursday to two months of incarceration.

It was one of the harshest penalties imposed to date on a participant in events at the Capitol who was found guilty only of a petty offense.

“For better or worse, you’ve become one of the faces of January 6,” U.S. District Judge Christopher R. Cooper of D.C. told Jenna Ryan, 50. She gained national attention by defending her conduct at the Capitol in media interviews and on Twitter. Because of that notoriety, Cooper said, people would look to her sentence as evidence of “how our country responded to what happened.”

He continued, “I think the sentence should tell them that we take it seriously, that it was an assault on our democracy . . . and that it should never happen again.”

In sentencing Ryan to 60 days in custody, he cited her apparent lack of remorse for her conduct, as well as her decision to join the mob, not directly from President Donald Trump’s rally that morning but after going back to her hotel and seeing television footage of a mob besieging the Capitol.

Ryan pleaded guilty in August to one count of parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol.

The Attack:
The Jan. 6 siege of the U.S. Capitol was neither a spontaneous act nor an isolated event.

“You’ve been very upfront that you feel no sense of shame or guilt,” Cooper said. “You suggested antifa was somehow involved. And perhaps most famously, you said that because you had blonde hair and white skin, you wouldn’t be going to jail.”

He was referring to a tweet Ryan posted in March saying, “Sorry I have blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and I’m not going to jail. . . . I did nothing wrong.”

In a letter to the court, Ryan said that at the time she “was trying to maintain my dignity to a mob of haters who were harassing me relentlessly by social media, phone and email,” and that conversations with her lawyer led her to believe, mistakenly, that she would receive a probationary sentence.

“I do not feel that I am immune to punishment due to my appearance and social status,” she said. “My true feelings are not always displayed on my public social network. Much of my inner world is kept inside.”

Ryan is being allowed to report in January to serve her sentence.

Leaving court, she told WUSA9 that the message she learned was that “if you tweet, you can go to jail.”

In earlier media interviews and tweets, Ryan called the prosecutions a “witch hunt” and said she “did something noble” while suggesting any violence was committed by antifascists or the FBI.

In court, she said, “I made a mistake and I’m sorry.”

She emphasized that she had been in the building for only a few minutes and said she did not engage in any violence. She also said she did not see any violent behavior.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Karen Rochlin called that assertion misleading and self-serving, however, citing Ryan’s social media posts from that day.

Ryan recorded herself saying she was “going to war” and ready to “storm the Capitol.” She left the building quickly only because she could not stand the tear gas, Rochlin said, and then continued to film others going inside as they shouted, “We will fight to the death!” and “Hang Mike Pence!”

“Even after her own exit, she seems to be encouraging, promoting, endorsing, if you will, the effort of the crowd to push its way in, to force its way in,” Rochlin said. “Even if she did not anticipate such violence, she celebrated it, she broadcast it.”

Cooper agreed.

“It’s clear that you knew this was no ordinary peaceful protest,” he said. “You joined a large group of people who were intent on, in your own words, storming the Capitol.”
