| The Florida State Government has the release forms signed by everyone involved! |
Pretty much everything you have heard is likely untrue. From claiming they were told that Boston was their destination to claims that they were told there were jobs waiting for them. Apparently every last one of them signed waiver forms telling them exactly where they were going and how they were going to get there.
Any claims above and beyond is basically unproven allegations being treated as the truth by willingly dishonest media. More proof that lies and deception to emotionally stir their faithful is all that Democrats have anymore!
Sad... really.

I believe The “reverend “ said, having them crossing state borders constituted kidnapping charges
Of course Obunghole was doing this in 2014
In September of 2014, I found myself in a town hall meeting in Lexington, Nebraska — population 10,000. It’s a meat-packing town about three hours west of Omaha, and not what one would call a wealthy town. I was there on a campaign stop with Sen. Ben Sasse, and the people of Lexington were very concerned with one issue in particular: what to do about the 11 Central American kids the federal government had dropped off unannounced in Lexington the month prior, just before the start of school. There had been a rapid influx of unaccompanied minors crossing the border that summer, and the Obama administration just relocated many of them around the country in towns such as Lexington.
It bears repeating that these were children that needed taking care of. Whatever social services you think are needed to take care of regular migrants, this was a much bigger and more expensive issue for the town. Self-sufficiency wasn’t just a matter of finding them work — these kids had to be clothed, fed, educated, and generally looked after for years.
The townspeople were alternately irate about being put into this situation and genuinely concerned for the kids’ welfare, given the town’s limited resources. After listening to the townspeople plead for help, we got on the campaign bus and drove to the next stop. For all I know, those migrant kids are still in Lexington, and the community of Lexington is hardly unique. Hundreds, if not thousands, of American towns have had to rise to meet challenges as a result of the federal refugee resettlement.

Martha’s Vineyard Migrants Were Lied to About Money, Housing … and the Massachusetts State Flag
by Nikki McCann Ramirez
Mon, September 19, 2022 at 4:31 PM·3
A brochure given to migrants in order to convince them to board planes headed from San Antonio, Texas, to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, falsely suggested they would be given access to refugee resettlement benefits like housing assistance, job interviews, and even help with cash and food.
The brochure, a copy of which was provided to Popular.info’s Judd Legum by Lawyers for Civil Rights, was so shoddy that it even got the Massachusetts state flag wrong, instead depicting what appears to be a hobbyist’s reimagining of the state’s actual flag.

My, we do live in separate realities, don't we?
But the mud is really hitting the fan just now for Trump, because Judge Dearie, the judge Trump's people chose to be the "master," is being tough on his impossible legal stance and wants some answers:
Specifically, he wants Trump's lawyers to explain in detail when and how Trump declassified any or all of the documents he had in his possession.
And Trump's lawyers are claiming they cannot answser that because -- are you ready for this? -- such information could be harmful to Trump in any future defense of him if and when he is indicted!!!
You can't make this stuff up!!!
Sounds like Trump's lawyers may be more interested in getting themselves off the hook than in getting him off!
I looked up Judd Legum in Wikipedia expecting to read how horrible he is.

Why has fact-checking disappeared under Biden?
Fact-checking under President Trump was a bustling business. Seemingly every day, and sometimes by the hour, the 45th president’s every word was scrutinized, which all comes with the job.
But under President Biden, fact checkers are enjoying what feels like extended vacations or have simply checked out in terms of scrutinizing the many ways that he is misleading the public.
Take CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale as a prime example of apathy around holding the current president accountable.
From June 2019 until November 2020, Dale appeared or was mentioned on CNN more than once per day, on average, according to Mediaite. Estimating conservatively,
that’s more than 500 appearances or mentions on a national network in the span of just 16 months.
But Dale has become the fact-checker version of Edward Snowden under Biden. He’s almost impossible to find these days. In fact, Dale has not conducted even one fact-check of the president since June.
Of course, Biden supporters will insist that Dale simply doesn’t have any material to work with. But that’s not true. In August, Biden declared that inflation in July was zero, despite the number being near a 40-year high at 8.3 percent.
Last week, Biden claimed the Inflation Reduction Act, which numerous studies have concluded will do almost nothing to reduce inflation, had already “helped reduce inflation at the kitchen table.” In a related story, food prices rose again in August, with the Consumer Price Index up 10.6 percent year-over-year.
There are many other examples from the summer, but you get the point: The most powerful man in the country needs to be held accountable for his words and actions, particularly in an election year, when each side is attempting to shape the narrative through the press. But fact-checkers at mainstream outlets refuse to do it.
The situation is worse when it comes to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. She has been fact-checked only once by Politifact since June.
This is the same press secretary who claimed earlier this month that people aren’t just walking into this country across the U.S. Southern border, when in fact it’s happening daily, per border agents and reporting on the ground.
She also claimed the Biden administration is “doing a lot more [than the Trump administration] to secure the border.”
Yup. She claimed that the administration that halted border wall construction and ended the effective “Remain in Mexico” policy is doing more than the previous administration to secure the border.
In a related story, the numbers don’t lie: More than 2 million migrants will come into this country illegally this year, an all-time record. This is the easiest of fact-checks to make, but Politifact doesn’t seem interested. Why?
Overall, since taking over for Jen Psaki on May 13, Jean-Pierre has not been fact-checked at all by Factcheck.org, the Associated Press, Reuters, Washington Post or CNN. This is the equivalent of being a toll collector in an E-Z Pass lane, a job that doesn’t require, you know, actually working.

Trump legal team admits possibility that ex-president could be charged
Lawyers tell special master reviewing Mar-a-Lago case he should not have to say which documents he may have declassified
Attorneys for Donald Trump said answering special master’s questions about declassification could hurt any possible defense to ‘any subsequent indictment’.
by Ramon Antonio Vargas
Tue 20 Sep 2022 09.18 EDT
Donald Trump’s legal team has acknowledged the possibility that the former president could be indicted amid the investigation into his retention of government secrets at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Despite claiming days earlier that Trump couldn’t imagine being charged, his lawyers made the stark admission in a court filing on Monday proposing how to conduct an outside review of documents that were seized by the FBI in August.
A special court official appointed to help administer the review process, the federal judge Raymond Dearie, had previously asked Trump to detail any materials stored at Mar-a-Lago that he may have decided to declassify. In the court filing, Trump’s lawyers said that requiring him to do so could hurt any possible defense should he later be charged, and that he should not have to “fully and specifically disclose a defense to the merits of any subsequent indictment without such a requirement being evident” during the review.
As of Tuesday, Trump’s lawyers have contended he could declassify any of the documents, but have stopped short of saying he actually did.
THE GUARDIAN article continues...
The guy who promised he was going to drain the swamp is now himself wading in some very deep doo doo.
SETH BARRETT TILLMAN: Even if DOJ can convict Trump of something, it won’t disqualify him as President.
"This same question of disqualification arose in advance of the 2016 presidential election in relation to Hillary Clinton’s alleged mishandling of official emails and classified information while she was secretary of state.
However, the majority view, then and now, is that Section 2071 can bar a convicted defendant from holding appointed federal office, but it cannot bar a convicted defendant from running for or holding any elected federal positions. This interpretation follows from the Supreme Court’s decision in Powell v. McCormack (1969), which held that the Constitution’s express textual qualifications (for instance, age, residence, and citizenship) for elected federal positions (that is, members of Congress) are exclusive, and those qualifications cannot be expanded by Congress. In U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton (1995), the Supreme Court extended the scope of the Powell principle: States are also precluded from expanding the Constitution’s express textual qualifications for elected federal positions.
Lower federal courts have held that the reasoning in Powell and U.S. Term Limits, which, on their facts, applied to congressional positions, also applies to the presidency."
But they might try to accomplish this via a plea bargain, though that’s iffy too, as Tillman notes. All of this is not normal. I continue to marvel at just how afraid they are of another Trump term.

You do realize that the fact that there is a Dearie "matter" and that there is a hearing is a HUGE win for Trump in the first place.
The DOJ has fought this at every turn.
As it stands, Deary is forcing the DOJ to play a game that they don't want "while" they wait for their appeal to be heard.
I find it ironic in a great way that the same people who demanded that a special master was not necessary (because they finished their own review in record time to avoid it) are NOW upset that they have to turn over documents to this guy "while" they are appealing...
and that their appeal might end up actually being moot because Deary may be through all of the documents at issue before a ruling comes back.
"Virtually everyone has suggested that the reason that Trump is balking at the order to tell Dearie which documents he declassified is because his lawyers want to avoid lying and they know Trump hasn’t declassified any of these documents."

I trust John Radcliffe's judgment on this. He contends that the real issue that the DOJ is deathly afraid of is not the exposure of any national security secrets. The DOJ is scared shitless of having all of the 'Crossfire Hurricane' docs exposed, causing them great embarrassment because then we get the entire story on the DOJ/FBI attempted coup of Donald Trump.
Trump saved all of that shit and took it with him. It implicates everyone from 0linsky (and Biden) all the way down.
THAT'S the crux of this biscuit.

Special Master Expresses Skepticism with Trump Team
September 20, 2022 at 3:32 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 65 Comments
“The senior federal judge tasked with reviewing the materials seized by the FBI from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate sharply questioned the former president’s attorneys Tuesday during their first hearing before his courtroom,”
Politico reports.
“Judge Raymond Dearie pushed Trump’s lawyers repeatedly for refusing to back up the former president’s claim that he declassified the highly sensitive national security-related records discovered in his residence.”
The Daily Beast reports that
if Trump’s lawyers don’t officially counter whether the documents are classified,
then Dearie will side with the DOJ:
“As far as I’m concerned, that’s the end of it.”
______
My own comment:
Sounds like he's saying,
put up or shut up.
And now I will go look at the link provided by Goddard.
Make that the two links provided by Goddard.
From here on, I am only interested in the merits or demerits of the arguments provided, not in personal attacks or in personal defenses.
Dearie is the special master.
His role is to look at the documents in question and make sure that the DOJ is not holding documents that should be personal or otherwise protected.
Well on top of the 500 or so documents that they already admit they should not have taken.
He has zero role in terms of criminal decision making or anything like that.
The questions are whether or not Dearie will review the classified documents to see if any would be considered privileged. Not sure that Trump is even saying that the classified documents are "privileged" - just that he declassified them.
To try to resist getting into the declassification issue at this point, Trump’s lawyers are arguing that the only issue before the special master is whether documents are privileged. Declassification, Trump contends, is relevant only to the separate question of whether the classified documents should be returned to Trump because they are his personal property. That question, they say, is premature because he has not made a formal motion for return of property.
Now this Trump's team telling the Judge that classification is only going to be valid if he is charged with a crime.
McCarthy is skeptical that the judge will rule the "marked classified" documents as privileged, but not sure that was ever the point. The point was to get a third Party to "look" the the documents that the FBI is claiming nobody else can view... to see exactly what it is that they took.
What if... for instance... the 100 documents that they do not want Dearie looking at were some of the documents he stated he declassified that were possibly embarrassing or harmful to the reputation of the FBI? What if they are not really secrets that puts national security at risk, but rather just things that the FBI would rather not be made public.
Trump’s public claims to have declassified the documents are plainly intended to cast doubt on the prosecutors’ insistence that the documents are government property and involve intelligence reports that could not be plausibly covered by executive or attorney-client privilege. Trump has made privilege claims regarding the documents bearing classification markings, and when the government sought to exclude those documents from the privilege review, he objected — hence the government’s above-mentioned appeal to the Eleventh Circuit. A party does not get to put factual questions in dispute and then decline to supply the court with the relevant facts.b
Also... pointed out by Trump. He has not actually asked for those documents back (not yet anyways). He just wants to know what it is that the FBI took and whether they are documents he "might" request.
Now... McCarthy has been wrong on this from the start. Perhaps he is correct here. But it seems to me that it puts the cart before the horse that Trump need to "prove" that he can get these unknown documents back before a third Party can review them.
Do you realize that threads have topics and are not whatever Goddard posts ?
Didn't think so
Why the hell do you even ask CHT to start a thread with a topic ?
And ss you know I can post tons more than you
easily
and from much better sources than the Daily Beast, Andrew Weissmann, the Guardian and the Empty Wheel
thru Goddard
Are you that fucking stupid ?
No need to answer or wait for Goddard to post something for you
ROFLMFAO !!!
Ignored.
Reverend...
It seems to me that whatever nonsense is being put out over at the Politicalwire blog is missing the point.
This judge has the authority at this time (appeal pending) to view all of the documents. His only decision is whether or what he should be reviewing and what he is looking for.
Trump can ask for whatever he wants to. He is not obligated to play the game by the rules of the DOJ. He is not charged with a crime and by the account of some experts is being smart by not playing his hand on declassification at this point.
He simply wants the judge to look through the documents.
The DOJ does not want the judge to look through the documents.
That is 100% what this is about.
Nothing else.

My own comment:
Sounds like he's saying,
put up or shut up.
What schoolyard are you at today ?
"brilliant"
Seems to me it's important too what the judge wants and/or deems necessary and/or not necessary.

There have been thousands of such lawsuits
But probably not a single one mentioned by Goddard
does it really surprise you that ambulance chasing lawyers in the most liberal state in America would file such a lawsuit
You'd have to be incredibly stupid not to see that coming
and with such a biased jury pool and judicial system they may even have a chance
Banana Republic
unequal scales of justice
boy did that "trash" get deported out of Martha's Vineyard quick.
Someone should sue them
and you ignored CHT who thoughtfully actually responded to your off-topic political_lire spam
and not with a mindless Goddard cut-n-paste
well you also said you were going to ignore me
so you responded to me and ignored CHT

Tish James Teases ‘Major Announcement’
New York Attorney General Letitia James — who has been investigating Donald Trump and the accounting practices of his company — is scheduled to make a “major announcement” tomorrow morning.
AND SOMETHING ELSE
Trump to Face Sexual Battery Suit
E. Jean Carroll, the journalist who claims she was raped by Donald Trump decades ago in a New York department store, is planning to sue him for sexual battery under the state’s new “survivors” law later this year, the Daily Beast reports.

I just read Ch's 11:46 above and find it incredibly naive.
"The DOJ has fought this at every turn."
They didn't fight Trump's request for Drearie, lol. Bet Trump wishes now they had.
