Is it time for the GOP to move on from Trump?

To say that this was not a good election cycle for the former President would be an understatement. The Democrat tossed money at several controversial candidates he endorsed because they thought it would be easier to run against them. They won nearly all of those races. Races that were probably more than winnable for the GOP with the right candidate.
Dr Oz is really the epitome of the 2022 Trump candidate. The Pennsylvania Senate race was really the Republicans to lose after Fetterman suffered his stroke and refused to drop out. Fetterman was a walking vegetable. Not even walking talking vegetable. Just a walking one.
But Dr Oz was no politician. He was a businessman and television personality (sound familiar?) who apparently lived in another state for the most part. He had no political experience, a lot of baggage (again sound familiar) and at the end of the day was a shadow of the former Apprentice host in terms of political savvy. While he overwhelmingly won the sole debate it really did not change the race enough for him to get over his own baggage and lack of political experience.
Herschel Walker was another Trump endorsed non-politician celebrity former athlete who ran nearly five points behind Brian Kemp (who Trump does not care for). Most any other reasonable Republican would have beaten Warnock in this cycle.
The list of mediocre (or worse) candidate that Trump endorsed in winnable races that the GOP did not win is longer than just these two. Many (on both sides) believe that if not for the Trump influence, that the GOP would have seen more of a wave than the ripple they will be lucky to see.
