Senator McCaskill - Trump Putin founders of ISIS

Oh Yeah? Well I say Trump & Putin founded ISIS

Will the media "fact check" this claim or are they only confused by hyperbole when it comes from Trump.

Was watching the movie Cocktail over the weekend, while working some overtime. There is a scene were Tom Cruise is in an economics class and the stuffy old teacher is criticizing everybody's business plan papers that had been turned in. He mockingly states that one of the students wants to become the Donald Trump of the cookie business.

So you want to be the Donald Trump of the cookie business?

This was a film from 1988 or approximately 28 years ago. Meaning Donald Trump was already considered a business Icon nearly 3 decades ago. Someone who was seen as the gold standard for business success. Oddly, nothing has really changed in his business life (other than becoming a reality television star). If anything, his brand got bigger as he got older.

But isn't it funny how getting you into politics, changes how people view someone. Suddenly the guy who economic teachers in the 80's was looking at in iconic fashion is now considered a moron who actually believes that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama went to the Middle East and founded ISIS.

(He doesn't actually believe that, but don't tell the media).

Reality is that Donald Trump is still the same guy who build a billion dollar franchise and has long been considered the gold star of business success. A moron with a bad temperament would not have accomplished what he accomplished.

Trump was known as a blow-hard moron in the 80's, tho a rich one.

"Clinton's policies launched ISIS into the world stage".

The facts are, that the roots of ISIS were planted in 2002 when Al Qaidea in Iraq was formed. Obama was a congressman in Illinois.

He's totally ignorant on foreign affairs

His business policies have had various level of success and failure. He lost the Trump Casino in Atlantic City, where by most measurements was a cash cow, but he milked it dry. Another "business success". He was unable to use eminent domain on an old lady, so he surrounded her hose with a casino. What a great guy.

A statement by a Clinton supporter is irrelevant.

His own VP choice thinks that gay people can be converted to straights with the proper therapy. Why isn't anyone in the media pointing this out? Why didn't you bring this up? You don't believe that, do you?

Actually it's a statement by a U.S. Senator. Why is it irrelevant?

The media chastised Trump for calling Obama and Clinton the founders... Why are they not chastising McCaskill?

Your own ignorance on The One is showing. In 2002 Obama was neither a congressman nor (as you stated on an earlier thread) a senator. He was an Illinois state senator then.

This is a good one CH.

Rudy Giuliani, the mayor of New York City during the 9/11 attack while stumping for Trump today he said this.

"Under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack in the United States. They all started when Clinton and Obama got into office."

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Why? Because Trump is the candidate of the Republican party. McCaskill is a senator, not in the race as the candidate for the Presidency or VP Spot. That's why.

It's on the news, but it's a minor story. Perhaps you can write an op ed for the Star Trib and get people interested.

Good luck.

The moment Trump started running, people were already laughing. Nobody, but NOBODY "in the know" thought the GOP was so lacking in principle and qualities of leadership that it would actually allow the nomination of this arch buffoon.

Indy, I meant that Obama was in the Illinois legislation in 2002. Why does it matter that I didn't call him a state senator? It is relevant to the fact that the claim by Trump is a lie, or more troublesome, is he didn't even know.

The speech today, sounded reasonable, no waving arms, or not following the script. But there were several mistakes.

What bothers me most, is his attacks on Muslims. Given his temperment, I can see him repeating the horrific imprisonment of Japanese Americans, one of the worst thing any President did. If ethnicity mattered, my entire family would have been imprisoned because we are of German descent.

My Uncle Lynn lost his life fighting the Germans in Europe. He was 44 years old, because he volunteered, he was well past the draft age. My father and another uncle also joined voluntarily.

Jane, can you read to use more of just released Hillary/Huma emails?

I can, this is too good, pay for play goes ever deeper into the bank accounts of the Hillbilly Money Laundering scheme.

Oh and again, IF you missed it, Hillbillies gave a $1,000,000.00 dollar "donation" to themselves and hustled the IRS and US tax payers out of taxes due.

Again, you realize that on average about 90% of new businesses fail. Trump turned a few million into several billion (arguments about whether or not it's ten million or five million are not relevant to that).

So to argue his business achievements are spotty is a bit like criticizing Michael Jordan because he didnt make every shot or win every game. Perfection is not a reasonable standard for business.

On the flip side I am not sure you can point to exactly what Clinton has accomplished in her positions.

C.H. Truth said...

Roger... so McCaskill is a Senator. But isn't Clinton a Presidential candidate?

She stated that Trump was the Sergeant of Recruiting for ISIS? Is she really that stupid to believe that ISIS is a real army and that Donald Trump joined?

Why didn't they fact check.

Seems no more unreasonable than believing a State Senator took the time to found a terror group.

And they are both candidates for the presidency.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

I think Trump is a Sergent for recruiting for ISIS. They use his image in their recruitment internet feeds.

Off topic, it's funny that George W and George HW Bush have not endorsed Trump George P. Bush did, but he needed to appear loyal.

No, not that one. And not that one, either.

George P. Bush — the Texas land commissioner, eldest son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, nephew of former President George W. Bush and grandson of former President George H.W. Bush — is breaking with the rest of the Bush family in supporting the Republican presidential nominee.

“From Team Bush, it’s a bitter pill to swallow,” George P. Bush said at a meeting of Texas GOP activists over the weekend, the Texas Tribune reported. “But you know what? You get back up and you help the man that won, and you make sure that we stop Hillary Clinton.”

While short of a formal endorsement of Trump, the comments are the closest a Bush has come to issuing one.

What's even more pathetic is to try and claim ISIS was founded in 2002, they were irrelevant until 2012 and were the direct result of the Syria debacle and us bugging out of Iraq. Both massive failures on Bumble and cankles part. Claiming 2002 was their founding is vacuous and one might as well say they were founded in the 7th century when Mo was born

Roger - you really are just clueless sometimes. Cognitive dissonance simply does not allow you to see the actual point here, does it?

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

I see how your opinion is more important than reality.

Trump's campaign is exploding, and you are more worried about an off the cuff comments by a Senator who isn't running for anything.

C.H. Truth said...

I see how your opinion is more important than reality.

Like I said... you simply don't (or won't) ever get the point. Trying to explain it to you is an exercise in futility. I will have better luck with the box of rocks.

i don't think it's cognitive dissonance. more like flat out intellectual dishonesty.

your point was clear - trump is the only one getting fact checked on anything. democrats get a full pass, no matter how outrageous or false their claim.

Complete and utter BS, Rat. Suggest you do some research to prove that. LOL

Opie -

Did anyone actually fact check Hillary's claim that Donald Trump was a "sergeant of recruiting" for ISIS?
