FBI release of Clinton interview

Too damned dumb to be President

Highlights
  • Clinton does not recall any of the national security briefings regarding handling government records.
  • Clinton suggests that she did not recall because of her concussion and health issues.
  • Doctors told her to only work part days and suggested she would have memory issues.
  • Clinton thought that the classification markings were part of an alphabetical manner to organize the documents.
  • She lost several government issued cell phones that contained access to classified information. Let me repeat that: She lost her government issued blackberry - multiple times.
  • She clicked on links from emails - that took her to Porno sites?
  • She believed that classification level of future drone strikes depended on the "context". This in spite of hard set rules that any and all military plans be required to be classified. s?

I'm surprised you allowed the above post. BTW, I'm not sure what you #1 bullet means. Every one with a clearance must undergo a refresher course once a year. I recall going to them, but details....very limited. Their main focus was all the screw ups done locally and bring up spies like Pollard and how much he got away with. That's it. Once again, you naiveté is showing trying to make a point on something you have no expertise on, Sad how the mighty keep falling. BTW, I'm sure you have noticed the closing of the polls and that it's not because trump is gaining anything, but the bump has faded and she is going down somewhat.

Opie - under FBI questioning, Hillary claims she never recalled any of the national security briefings regarding handling classified government records. Meaning she didn't go to them, she went and forgot she went, or she lied to the FBI to give herself plausible deniability that she understood what she was doing was a crime.

Just like I said, I participated in similar meetings as a condition of my employment. Your conclusion she didn't go is your opinion, based on bias. LOL If I was asked specifics of any of those meetings, other than what I described above, I remember nada. Once again you jump to an opinion that she lied. Like I keep saying, you got less than nothing in your hatred of Clinton. Too bad you don't look at donnie's history of plunder and looting while making billions of dollars off the back of illegal immigrants and not paying people for work they did for him.

Bad judgment, perhaps. Other than that, it's just your spin.

Boy Opie... you sure are a dim bulb.

Clinton stated to the FBI that she didn't remember any of these briefings. That's not my opinion. That's not my conclusions.

That's what she told the FBI based entirely on the information that the FBI released.

You have a problem with bias. Talk to the FBI. Not me. THey claimed it. Not me.

Lost 13 Blackberries and the laptop with all her emails. Server was "accidentally" wiped three weeks after its existence was revealed, and her archives were "accidentally" scrubbed by a technician using software that was supposed to remove all traces of what had been previously stored.

James (C)omey should be impeached.

That "accidentally" wiping we find out now has a name it is called "BleachBit" it is used to delete any trail of emails you don't want any one to see.

She Did say , in her own words , she did not sign any forms that said she was given training on how to handle the Top Secret and Higher State Secrets, she said that, not opinion, her words.

That fall and brain bruising was/is much more sever then she is stating.

She has used the "I don't recall" legal bs before , this is not her first time using that dodge, it just is so ugly, so stupid and I see HB, Jane and Opium are eating her Shit again like it is chocolate ice cream.

You were just a peon bureaucrat and if you did the things queen Hillary did your ass would be sitting in jail.

The rules are different for her majesty.

This isn't flattering, to put it mildly. But there were no violation of the law. Her judgement was questionable. I find the people who find a problem with "I don't have a memory" During the Iran/ Contra hearings, most of the Republicans used that and no one on the right gave a damn.

Mr. Powell, apparently implying that he was cautious in his use of a personal email account, added: “Be very careful. I got around it all by not saying much and not using systems that captured the data.” According to the summary of her interview, Mrs. Clinton said that she did not know exactly what Mr. Powell was saying in that email and that his message “did not factor into her decision to use a personal email account.”

F.B.I. officials appear to have questioned Mrs. Clinton most aggressively about her judgment in using her private, unsecured system to get emails about how or where the Obama administration was planning to launch drone strikes against terrorism suspects, the documents indicated.

The F.B.I. showed her one email after another containing information about possible drone strikes that was considered classified. But Mrs. Clinton appeared almost blasé in explaining her use of her private system to gather information on drone strikes.

After being shown one email that was redacted from the public release of her emails, Mrs. Clinton “stated deliberation over a future drone strike did not give her cause for concern regarding classification,” according to the F.B.I. summary of the interview.

“Clinton understood this type of conversation as part of the routine deliberation process,” the summary said. “Moreover, she recalled many conversations about future strikes that never occurred.”

Mrs. Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, declined to comment. In a statement, her campaign said it was pleased that the F.B.I. had made the documents public.

“While her use of a single email account was clearly a mistake and she has taken responsibility for it, these materials make clear why the Justice Department believed there was no basis to move forward with this case,” the campaign said.

As I recall there were quite a few prosecutions and convictions arising from the Iran Contra affair, effectively proving that people did indeed care about it.

Clair E. George for example was indicted for 10 counts of perjury, false statements and obstruction. Robert C. McFarlane pleaded guilty for withholding information from Congress. Oliver North, Poindexter, Secord, a number of others on this list.

One thing I agree with is holding Clinton to the same standard. If it's not credible that she really doesn't remember any of these critically important events, then she most likely broke the law and should be held accountable for it.
