Trouble in paradise?

Dems sound alarm on Senate majority
The campaign chairman for Senate Democrats on Wednesday warned his colleagues that if the elections were held today, the party would gain only three Senate seats, according to lawmakers who were in the room.
This would leave the Senate in the GOP hands. The Democrats would have to win four seats (and the Presidency) to take control, or five seats if Donald Trump wins the Presidency. It's considered a sure bet (or almost a sure bet) that the Democrats will pick up seats in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, and they are still very competitive in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire where they have two more possible pick up chances.

But they are struggling to hold on to Harry Reid's seat in Nevada, and Florida and Ohio have gone from possible pick ups to fairly reasonable Republican holds.

I would caution that just because Larry Sabato or Nate Silver may suggest a sure fire Democratic takeover... doesn't mean it's so. They are not privy to the vast amount of internal polling done by the candidates and the Party. If the Party is lamenting their position today, then it's reasonable to assume that they have some credible reason to do so.

Funny how just a few weeks ago, the left was talking about the White House and Senate as if it were a sure thing, and holding out hope that they could still win the House. Now, the House is out of reach, they are worried that they are losing their assumed hold on the Senate, and the Presidential race has become... well a Presidential race.

The press conference counter is absent.

She held one today, took four whole questions. Two of them regarding how unfairly she is treated in the media!

Because she is a woman...

I have to admit, Roger... how desperate has she become when she has to solicit the most friendly press in the history of politics to be even "more" friendly to her.

Obviously, it's unfair treatment (not her performance) that has been leading to her drop in the polling.

'Can you clarify what you told the FBI about your concussion?' DailyMail.com asked as Clinton walked away from her podium on the tarmac in White Plains, N.Y.

'Read the reports,' Pearl Ear Bud Hillary

Always dodging, always "lawyering up".

"She held one today, took four whole questions"

Stopping at a podium and chatting with a few adoring fans with stenopads is now considered a press conference....

Somebody pinch me.

Hillary Clinton is pushing back on the perception that she is "cold or unemotional," saying that while she sometimes comes across as "walled off," she learned at a young age the necessity of controlling her emotions."

Hillary, it is ok, we know your mentally fucked up and morally bankrupt. I just think she talks and looks like a dullard.

A presser, what kind of brain dead person believes that passes as a presser?

But, the election is not today. Plenty of time for people to come to their senses.

According to the CNN/ORC poll voters find Trump more trustworthy than Clinton by 15 points.

There still could be some more movement to Trump.

either she's convinced herself that she's assured of winning by just hunkering down, surrounding herself with adoring media and running out the clock, or...

she's admitting to herself that the ONLY way she can win is to hunker down, surround herself with adoring media in a pathetic attempt to run out the clock.

i'm not sure which we're witnessing, but either/or seem to be her strategery.

and when her supporters can only bitterly cling to a throw away line on the howard stern show, the whole scenario speaks of a panic to me at this point.
