Need to get to the bottom of the leaks

Now that our alliance of intelligence community felons and left wing media outlets have damaged our credibility with our allies... will something be done?

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said this morning that key surveillance programs won't be reauthorized by Congress until questions about intelligence "unmasking" are answered.
That would be one way to get to the bottom of this. The "deep state" may feel a little invincible lately, but how good would they feel if they were not getting funded? I believe it's time to step up the game and hold some people accountable. Otherwise, the actual elected officials might start to become irrelevant.

Meanwhile the deep state continues to cause tangible harm with loose lips:  ‘Furious’ British Police Suspend Intelligence Sharing with United States Following Manchester Bombing Leaks
The world’s closest intelligence sharing arrangement is in jeopardy after key details and photographs from the Manchester bombing were apparently leaked by United States’s law enforcement sources to domestic journalists, leaving Manchester Police and the British government — who are collecting and analysing the finds — “furious”. The United Kingdom has now stopped passing intelligence gathered as part of the investigation into the Manchester bombing to the United States according to claims made by the British state broadcaster BBC.The world’s closest intelligence sharing arrangement is in jeopardy after key details and photographs from the Manchester bombing were apparently leaked by United States’s law enforcement sources to domestic journalists, leaving Manchester Police and the British government — who are collecting and analysing the finds — “furious”.
The United Kingdom has now stopped passing intelligence gathered as part of the investigation into the Manchester bombing to the United States according to claims made by the British state broadcaster BBC.
Later further leaked intelligence including detailed crime scene information, and photographs of shrapnel, a backpack, and a battery were released by The New York Times. The BBC report states the “likely” culprit of the leaks are U.S. law enforcement officials who will have received access to the data through the transatlantic ‘Five Eyes’ intelligence sharing agreement, rather than the White House.

Trey Gowdy is such a partisan hack he chose party over country.

Here's a guy who was so intent on getting John Brennan to say "there was no collusion" between the Trump camp and the Russians. But Brennan, the professional adult in the room didn't take the bait. Gowdy's only mission on the committee is to simply say over and over "don't look over there at Trump. Look over here at the leakers." Here's a guy who spent millions of taxpayers dollars with COUNTLESS Benghazi hearings for nothing more than to demonize Hillary; knowing all along people have been killed at embassies all over the world under various Presidents. And with each Benghazi hearing Gowdy once again came up empty handed because the adults in the room prevailed. Gowdy doesn't care that our democratic process was hacked by the Russians.

His only mission is to save a sinking ship in troubled waters. I'm afraid this time he's going overboard in this sinking ship. I don't know about you guys, but I'm grateful for the leakers. No the leakers were not Obama carry overs. They are career civil servants who put their lives on the lines for us every day in every country. They've been employed by the government thru SEVERAL administrations. So simply labeling them as "Obama carry overs" is a cop out. Gowdy, when Trump started out the gate demonizing the FBI, CIA And others in the Intel Community, WHAT DID YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN? How do you think Woodward and Bernstein got to the bottom of Watergate? Where are the real patriots? They are in the Democratic party. Traitors who love Russia come here to cheer Putin.

Trump said he would save jobs at Carrier. The layoffs start July 20.
The company that President Trump pledged to keep on American soil informed the state of Indiana that it will soon begin cutting 632 workers from an Indianapolis factory. The manufacturing jobs will move to Monterrey, Mexico, where the minimum wage is $3.90.

Looking at it objectively, as a guy who opposed Trump until he dispatched Ted Cruz, I have to consider all the facts and ponder the evidence carefully before awarding Donald Trump the grade of A+. He has done an incredible job of doing exactly what I had hoped he would do in the off chance he defeated that naggy harridan and her corps of gender indeterminate hipsters, coastal snobs, race hustlers, aspiring libfascists, media scum, and wussy pseudo-conservatives terrified that a Hillary loss would mean people might expect them to do more than wear bow ties and go on NPR to prattle about Burke in their high-pitched, nasal voices.

There can be no serious debate. Donald Trump has done a truly outstanding job of not being Hillary Clinton.

Jobless claims are running at the lowest level in 44 years

New applications for unemployment benefits rose a minimal 1,000 to 234,000 in the third week of May, the Department of Labor reported Thursday, driving the average for the past four weeks down to the lowest it has been in 44 years.

Thursday's report beat forecasters' expectations, which were for new jobless claims, adjusted for seasonal variations, to rise to 237,000.

And it provided a good sign for the economy. Few claims indicate that layoffs are rare, and that, in turn, net job creation is strong.

Investors and officials at the Federal Reserve pay attention to the jobless claims numbers because they are published every week, giving a frequently-update gauge of the health of the labor market. Recently, that metric has been strongly encouraging.

The total number of people receiving unemployment benefits, which are available for up to 26 weeks in most states, also is at the lowest level since 1974, averaged over the past month. There were just 1.9 million such "continuing claims," down from as many as 6.5 million at the height of the recession in 2009.

Oh darn, donnie loses again.....in the east.....

In yet another setback for the Trump administration, a federal appeals court in Richmond, Virginia, refused to lift a nationwide injunction that halted a key provision of President Donald Trump’s revised travel ban on six predominantly Muslim nations.

The ruling is the most bruising the White House has suffered in its attempts to defend the ban, as it was rendered by 13 judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit — which deemed the case important enough to skip the usual three-judge process that the vast majority of cases go through.

Trump Claims He Wanted Macron to Win in France
NOW
President Trump told Emmanuel Macron that he had been his favorite to win the French presidential election and media reports that he was backing far-right leader Marine Le Pen were wrong, Reuters reports.

Said Trump: “You were my guy.”

“Trump told Macron that, contrary to media reports during the race, he had not backed Le Pen and had followed Macron’s campaign with great attention, the source said, adding that the two leaders had spoken in English.”

Trump Says Le Pen Is Strongest Candidate

President Trump told the AP that he is not explicitly endorsing Marine Le Pen in France’s election.

But he says he believes she will be helped by the attack that left a Paris police officer dead, because she’s the candidate who is “strongest on borders, and she’s the strongest on what’s been going on in France.”

ppeals Court Won’t Reinstate Trump Travel Ban

The federal appeals court in Richmond “refused to reinstate President Trump’s revised travel ban, saying it discriminated on the basis of religion,” the New York Times reports.

“The decision was a fresh setback for the administration’s efforts to limit travel from several predominantly Muslim countries. Mr. Trump had narrowed the scope of his first executive order, issued in January, in response to an earlier appeals court decision halting it. But the basic flaws in his approach remained, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled.”

Tourism In U.S. Has Dropped Since Trump Elected

Business Insider: “America’s share of international tourism has dropped 16% in March, compared to the same month in 2016.”

“The decline began in October 2016, the month before the presidential election. From October to March, tourism-related traffic has fallen an average of 11% in the US, compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, tourism in the rest of the world has increased 6% year-over-year during the same period.”

OBAMA TOLD THE GERMAN CROWDS that those who believe “politicians are all corrupt, and institutions are all corrupt … if that’s your attitude, then yes, things will get worse. But it’ll get worse because you did not make the commitment to live out the values and the things you believe in most.”

Obama talked health care and immigration policy. He defended his cautious use of drones in response to a question from a German college student. He urged against militarism and the kind of bigger military budget that Trump has touted — “the national security budget shouldn’t just be seen as military hardware, it should be seen as development, it should be seen as diplomacy,” he said.

While Trump was meeting with European leaders, Obama was cautioning against absolutism and self-assurance.

“If I become so convinced that, ‘I’m always right,’” Obama said, “the logical conclusion of that often ends up being great cruelty and great violence.”

It's a remarkable day. Perhaps the best day of my life.

1: Today is the fifth birthday of my sobriety. I am happier than you all can imagine. But then, something far more importance than my addiction.

2: Earlier this year my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. They did the surgery in February, we got this from Kaiser Permanente this afternoon.

This is the best news I have ever had.

Lydia had a follow up examination and they found NO new cancer growth She only needs yearly examinations. I have to thank God because I prayed for her every day since they found the small growth I am so so happy, and love everyone here too because I know there were prayers of best wishes. Everything worked
