Obama budgets projected 5% to 6% growth...

In 2011 Obama's proposed budget included the following projections for GDP growth
  • 2012 16,203
  • 2013 17,182 = 6%
  • 2014 18,139 = 5.6%
  • 2015 19,190 = 5.8%
  • 2016 20,163 = 5%
Those numbers were later revised to:
  • FY 2012 15,602
  • FY 2013 16,335 = 4.7%
  • FY 2014 17,156 = 5%
  • FY 2015 18,178 = 6%
  • FY 2016 19,261 = 6%

Meanwhile the left is going crazy with exasperation over the fact that Trump's budget is projecting GDP growth of 3%... with some liberal critics demanding such projections of growth to be insane and the equivalent of "putting your fingers in your ears and yelling "na na na."

Apparently if Obama couldn't reach his growth goals by promoting damaging economic regulations, raising taxes, taking over the healthcare insurance industry, and deficit spending to the tune of a few trillion dollars... then the concept of a Trump economy achieving approximately half of that same projected growth would seem sacrilegious.

Or more to the point... the left cannot possibly fathom a world where Trump economic policies might actually exceed Obama economic policies.

I looked up that same data, Demstream had to protect their BOY.

I did see this report, I personally think it is too rosy, but, Trump is Right, 3 percent per year, very doable.

GDPNow - Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta reports they see growth of over 4 % for the current quarter.

Here is the complete list of average annual real GDP growth by postwar president (in descending order):

Johnson (1964-68), 5.3%
Kennedy (1961-63), 4.3%
Clinton (1993-2000), 3.9%
Reagan (1981-88), 3.5%
Carter (1977-80), 3.3%
Eisenhower (1953-60), 3.0%
(Post-WWII average: 2.9%)
Nixon (1969-74), 2.8%
Ford (1975-76), 2.6%
G. H. W. Bush (1989-92), 2.3%
G. W. Bush (2001-08), 2.1%
Truman (1946-52), 1.7%
Obama (2009-15), 1.5%

So over the next 8 years all Trump has to do is beat the lost years record of 1.5 % average.

Well, that is done and done.

The lost years according to Travis Smiley, a PBS flaiming liberal and black man, said that by every economic measurement blacks lost ground.

The very forgettable Lost Years.

The California nightmare is coming.

California's looming single-payer disaster

Progressives advocating single-payer health care need to face financial reality.

Vermont had to abandon its attempts to impose a single-payer health-care system when its greatest champion, Gov. Peter Shumlin, discovered that it would cost far more than he had anticipated. Similarly, last year Colorado voters resoundingly rejected ColoradoCare when a study discovered that even tripling taxes wouldn't be enough to keep up with the costs.

Now it's California's turn.

The Golden State's legislature has plowed ahead with a plan to impose single-payer care. But a new analysis from the state Senate on SB562 shows that the annual costs of such a system would exceed the state's current annual budget — even if federal funding continued at the same pace. "California would have to find an additional $200 billion per year, including in new tax revenues, to create a so-called 'single-payer' system," the Sacramento Bee reported after the publication of a report by the Senate Appropriations committee. Even that estimate assumes the state would retain the existing $200 billion in local, state, and federal funding it currently receives to offset half of a $400 billion total price tag.

$400 billion a year. That's 223 percent of California's total annual expenditures in an already bloated budget.

Let's put it another way: California could build four high-speed rail systems between San Francisco and Los Angeles every year for the same amount of money. (Assuming, of course, that the state ever manages to build the one in progress now, which is also being funded in large part by people who live outside of California.)

And it's just not for working California citizens. It's free healthcare for every freeloader in the entire world both legal and illegal.

After the Lost Years and the feckless lack of leadership on all issues facing the USA, now the Demstream Press thinks that 3 % GDP is impossible.

The Unemployment rate has been dropping, people are getting paying jobs and off of welfare, seems natural to drop the money flowing into the food stamp program.

Hell, I saw a wonderful story about the beaners , forgoing their food stamps because they don't want to be ID by ICE.

Remember the Lies, Liberals state that no one that is an illegal gets food stamps or free housing or Obamacare, what a line of crap.

The budget will kill, literally , kill people, right, 4 Trillion Dollars being spent is not enough for the Establishment of both parties.

Nate Silver: “There’s been a considerable decline in the number of Americans who strongly approve of Trump, from a peak of around 30 percent in February to just 21 or 22 percent of the electorate now. (The decline in Trump’s strong approval ratings is larger than the overall decline in his approval ratings, in fact.) Far from having unconditional love from his base, Trump has already lost almost a third of his strong support.

“And voters who strongly disapprove of Trump outnumber those who strongly approve of him by about a 2-to-1 ratio, which could presage an ‘enthusiasm gap’ that works against Trump at the midterms. The data suggests, in particular, that the GOP’s initial attempt (and failure) in March to pass its unpopular health care bill may have cost Trump with his core supporters.”

Most Think Trump Is Abusing His Office

A new Quinnipiac poll finds American voters believe that President Trump is abusing the powers of his office by a 54% to 43% margin.
He also has a dismal 37% to 55% approval rating.
Meanwhile, voter opinions of most of Trump’s personal qualities remain negative:

59% say he is not honest;
57% say he does not have good leadership skills;
56% say he does not care about average Americans;
65% say that he is not level-headed;
64% say that he is a strong person;
62% say that he does not share their values.

The Russians Steal the Election
WASHINGTON — American spies collected information last summer revealing that senior Russian intelligence and political officials were discussing how to exert influence over Donald J. Trump through his advisers, according to three current and former American officials familiar with the intelligence.

The conversations focused on Paul Manafort, the Trump campaign chairman at the time, and Michael T. Flynn, a retired general who was advising Mr. Trump, the officials said. Both men had indirect ties to Russian officials, who appeared confident that each could be used to help shape Mr. Trump’s opinions on Russia.

Some Russians boasted about how well they knew Mr. Flynn. Others discussed leveraging their ties to Viktor F. Yanukovych, the deposed president of Ukraine living in exile in Russia, who at one time had worked closely with Mr. Manafort.

The intelligence was among the clues — which also included information about direct communications between Mr. Trump’s advisers and Russian officials — that American officials received last year as they began investigating Russian attempts to disrupt the election and whether any of Mr. Trump’s associates were assisting Moscow in the effort. Details of the conversations, some of which have not been previously reported, add to an increasing understanding of the alarm inside the American government last year about the Russian disruption campaign.

This is a holiday.

CBO: GOP Health Care Plan Would Leave 23 Million Uninsured ,

The Republican health care plan that passed the House earlier this month would leave 23 million more Americans without health insurance over the next decade than the current law and would reduce the deficit by $119 billion, according to an analysis released by the Congressional Budget Office on Wednesday.

The findings are similar to a CBO score of an earlier version of the bill spiked by Republican leaders earlier this year due to lack of support.

A Reporter Assaulted by the Republican candidate for congress in Montana.

Law enforcement is responding at this hour to a building on Discovery Drive south of Bozeman, where a national political reporter alleged that he had been assaulted.

The reporter, Ben Jacobs of The Guardian, claimed on Twitter that he was assaulted by Republican U.S. House candidate Greg Gianforte.

“Greg Gianforte just body slammed me and broke my glasses,” Jacobs tweeted.

Jacobs was being evaluated in an ambulance at the scene. Gianforte was seen sitting in a vehicle nearby and had been speaking with Gallatin County deputies earlier.

Gianforte left the scene shortly before 6 p.m. without speaking to reporters.

The Hyalite Fire department told the Chronicle that one person was taken from the scene to Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital.

Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin said his office will release a statement as quickly as possible.

Alexis Levinson, a reporter for Buzzfeed News, told MSNBC that he had given a statement to the sheriff’s office. In tweets and on air, she said she saw Jacobs go into a room where Gianforte was.

“I heard the crash and saw his feet fly,” she told MSNBC live on the air.

Trump's Attorney has ties to the Russians too

(CNN)The prominent New York lawyer expected to represent President Donald Trump in the widening Russia probes has professional connections of his own to Moscow, which could create yet another public-relations problem for the White House.
Marc Kasowitz, who has been Trump's go-to lawyer for years on both personal and business matters, is defending a Russian bank, OJSC Sberbank, in an ongoing lawsuit in US court. He also represents a company controlled by a Russian billionaire, Oleg Deripaska, who has close ties to the Kremlin.

Kasowitz' clients with Russian ties may not pose any legal conflicts of interests as he prepares to help Trump navigate an investigation that the president calls "a witch hunt." But the optics of the situation -- a lawyer with Russian-linked clients representing a president, whose campaign is being investigated for alleged collusion with Russia -- could make a messy situation for Trump even messier.

Trey Gowdy is such a partisan hack he chose party over country.

Here's a guy who was so intent on getting John Brennan to say "there was no collusion" between the Trump camp and the Russians. But Brennan, the professional adult in the room didn't take the bait. Gowdy's only mission on the committee is to simply say over and over "don't look over there at Trump. Look over here at the leakers." Here's a guy who spent millions of taxpayers dollars with COUNTLESS Benghazi hearings for nothing more than to demonize Hillary; knowing all along people have been killed at embassies all over the world under various Presidents. And with each Benghazi hearing Gowdy once again came up empty handed because the adults in the room prevailed. Gowdy doesn't care that our democratic process was hacked by the Russians.

His only mission is to save a sinking ship in troubled waters. I'm afraid this time he's going overboard in this sinking ship. I don't know about you guys, but I'm grateful for the leakers. No the leakers were not Obama carry overs. They are career civil servants who put their lives on the lines for us every day in every country. They've been employed by the government thru SEVERAL administrations. So simply labeling them as "Obama carry overs" is a cop out. Gowdy, when Trump started out the gate demonizing the FBI, CIA And others in the Intel Community, WHAT DID YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN? How do you think Woodward and Bernstein got to the bottom of Watergate? Where are the real patriots? They are in the Democratic party. Traitors who love Russia come here to cheer Putin.

actual evidence of collusion.

i've lost track of exactly how long this investigation without end has been going on, but one thing is starting to become clear - the longer this investigation DOES go on without producing any actual evidence of collusion increases the likelihood of the desired evidence being fabricated by trump's enemies. at this point they really have no choice. to expend this amount of time, resources and energy, only to discover nothing and wind up with several dozen eggs on their faces cannot be allowed to happen.

We Are Watching A Slow-Motion Coup D’etat

It’s nearly incontrovertible that a slow-motion coup d’etat is now taking place. Since November 9, 2016, forces within the U.S. government, media, and partisan opposition have aligned to overthrow the Electoral College winner, Donald Trump.

To achieve this they have undermined the institutions of the Fourth Estate, the bureaucratic apparatus of the U.S. government, and the very nature of a contentious yet affable two-party political system. Unlike the coup d’etat that sees a military or popular figure lead a minority resistance or majority force into power over the legitimate government, this coup d’etat is leaderless and exposes some of the deepest fissures in our system of government. This coup d’etat represents not the rule of one man or even many, but by the multitude of our elites.

And Roger is a willing useful fool in that coup.

As for comparisons to "1984" it's not exactly what the left thinks.

Shortly after the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States, a sort of “meme” appeared among activists on the political left comparing the status of the United States to that of George Orwell’s “1984.” “Think pieces” from The New Yorker, CNN, The Atlantic, and Salon drew comparisons between President Trump and the brutally authoritarian future Orwell envisioned. In April of this year, screenings of the film version of Orwell’s dystopian novel were hosted around the world. “1984” surged up Amazon’s bestseller list. The tragedy of this exercise was that the comparison was very apt, but for different reasons.

The villain of “1984” isn’t a “man” but an entity — a bureaucracy with an authoritarian impulse. Big Brother isn’t so much a man or a leader but a symbol of the omnipotent reach of the bureaucratic state that dominated the dystopian future. The fear of an elected leader turning into a tyrant — as the political Left and some on the political Right feared in Trump — doesn’t play into the narrative of the novel. Rather, it is the fear of a nearly faceless administrative state; a state that has achieved a near totality in terms of tyranny.

If the left succeeds, we will have that dystopian future envisioned by George Orwell.

Senate Republicans have all the evidence they need to reject the health-care overhaul
The $119 billion in savings would result mostly because fewer people would be covered and because the new legislation would loosen requirements. For some Senate Republicans, those facts may be all they need to bury the House version of a health-care overhaul once and for all.
