The Keurig about face

Hannity buried the hatchet on air with Kuerig after they issued an apology to pretty much everyone (including their own employees) for their decision to stop advertising on the Sean Hannity show. Hannity suggested that people should stop shooting their Kuerig machines (or in the case below, practicing their wedge play)... and that Kuerig was going to be continuing their advertising.

Keurig CEO Bob Gamgort on Monday apologized to employees for any negative attention that may have come after the company publicly announced on Twitter that it was no longer running ads on Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News — a move that led to Hannity fans smashing their Keurig coffee machines en masse.
“The decision to publicly communicate our programming decision via our Twitter account was highly unusual,” Gamgort said in a memo reported by The Washington Post. “This gave the appearance of ‘taking sides’ in an emotionally charged debate that escalated on Twitter and beyond over the weekend, which was not our intent.”
“I apologize for any negativity that you have experienced as a result of this situation and assure you that we will learn and improve going forward,” Gamgort added

Said Ryan: “He should step aside,” because the sexual misconduct allegations against him “are credible.”

Sessions Insists He Didn’t Lie About Russian Contacts

Attorney General Jeff Sessions “said that he has ‘always told the truth’ in describing his knowledge of Trump campaign contacts with Russians — though he acknowledged he now recalls an interaction with a lower-level Trump adviser who has said he told Sessions about contacts who could help arrange a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin,” the Washington Post reports.

When asked previously about whether he believed Trump surrogates had communications with the Russians, Sessions said: 'I did not, and I’m not aware of anyone else that did, and I don’t believe it happened.'

"Now, Sessions said he recalled a March 2016 meeting with Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos. Papadopoulos, in pleading guilty to lying to FBI agents, has admitted he told Trump and a group of other campaign officials, including Sessions, that he had contacts who could help arrange a meeting between Trump and Putin.”

He insists he didn't lie, but he didn't "remember" until after Papadopoulos blew the whistle on him.

Trump’s Nuclear Authority Questioned

“A decades-old presidential authority to use nuclear weapons is suddenly coming into question as US allies and some lawmakers from both parties want the Trump administration to assure them that President Donald Trump cannot rashly launch a nuclear strike,” CNN reports.

“The potential that Trump could use existing law to authorize the deployment of a nuclear weapon on his own is becoming the subject of frequent conversation — and bipartisan anxiety — on Capitol Hill.

"Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker will hold a hearing Tuesday on the authority of the President to maintain sole authority to launch nuclear weapons.

“A NATO partner country raised concerns about the President’s command of the US launch system.”

Right. A nut like Trump should not have unhindered access to the nuclear codes. He is the first president who needs to be put under restraint since Nixon.

Trump Approval Remains Near Record Low

A new Quinnipiac poll finds President Trump’s approval rate at 35% to 58%, near his record low.

Also interesting: Just 40% of voters say Trump is fit to serve as president, while 57% say he is not fit.

By a 51% to 38% margin, Americans would like to see Democrats win control of the House of Representatives in 2018. By a 52% to 39% margin, they would like to see Democrats win control of the Senate.

Irish American Joe Biden is known to put his foot firmly in his mouth and he may have done so yet again.

Biden appeared on the “Today” show Monday and suggested Texas church hero Stephen Willeford shouldn't have had the rifle he used to shoot down killer Devin Kelley.

Biden's remark came in answer to a question from an audience member who asked him to explain the Democrat’s call for more gun control — despite the fact that there would have been far more killings if Willeford had not been armed.

Melania Trump Approval Rating: CNN Poll Reveals Popularity Of First Lady Is Growing

The latest approval rating for Melania Trump is good and has increased over the past few months. At the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency, the public was slow to warm up to his wife as the first lady. As the months progressed, she was seen at more events and has shown an interest in battling the opioid epidemic, helping hurricane victims, and following through on her anti-bullying initiative.

According to a CNN poll taken from November 2 through November 5, survey participants were asked a series of questions about the Trump administration and how they viewed specific individuals. 48 percent have a favorable opinion of Melania Trump, a four-point jump from September when 44 percent had a favorable opinion of the first lady.

But did Keurig truly apologize "for their decision to stop advertising" as suggested here, or did they apologize merely for stirring up controversy by bragging about it on twitter?

Response to Sean Hannity's 30-minute attack on Media Matters

Media Matters President Angelo Carusone released the following statement after Sean Hannity devoted the majority of his Fox News show to attacking Media Matters and defending his past coverage undermining the reports of sexual misconduct against Roy Moore:

Don’t be fooled by Hannity’s meandering obfuscation. He said a lot of flattering things tonight about Keurig in an attempt to undo some of the destruction he recklessly caused over the weekend. Despite all those words, he never said that Keurig will be advertising on his show again. That’s because they won’t be.

While Hannity and his supporters were busy today smashing coffee makers, six more advertisers either removed their ads from Hannity’s show or confirmed that they will not run ads on Hannity’s show going forward.

Over the past few days, whether by running interference for a politician he endorsed who was sexually preying on kids or by maligning women that speak out about sexual abuse and harassment or by ginning up a massive boycott against a company that simply didn’t want to continue buying ads on his show, Hannity provided the clearest illustrations yet that his volatility is bad for business.

That’s why companies are leaving his show and why they’ll continue to leave his show.

As for the rest of Hannity’s claims, Carusone added:

There were flat out demonstrable falsehoods, like claiming Media Matters uses bots to contact advertisers (we don’t) or that we took him out of context (we didn’t).

There was revisionism and lies, like his claim that he does not support boycotts (Hannity actually egged on the right-wing Keurig smashing campaign) or his pretending that he did not spend two days maligning and undermining the reports of women that spoke out against Roy Moore (he did and he also spent quite a bit of time before that assisting Bill O’Reilly in doing the same against the women that spoke out against him).

The six advertisers that left Hannity’s show today are: Conagra (advertising as Hebrew National, ReddiWip, and Marie Callender’s), HelloFresh, Hubble Contacts, UNTUCKit, Volvo, and the Society for Human Resource Management

Media Matters has urged Hannity’s advertisers to reconsider financially supporting his lies and extremism and warned that his volatility makes him a business risk.

Those six companies that removed ads from his show today join companies like Keurig and Eloquii, which confirmed that they removed ads from Hannity’s show over the weekend, as well as Cadillac and E-Trade, which removed ads from Hannity’s show weeks ago.

Hannity’s advertiser losses from the late summer are part of the reason Fox News’ ad revenue dropped a whopping 17 percent in September 2017 as compared to September 2016, while CNN’s dipped 1 percent and MSNBC’s increased 2 percent.

By

The Steele dossier has already become a thing of John le CarrĂ©-like intrigue—British spies, Kremlin agents, legal cutouts, hidden bank accounts. What all this obscures is the more immediate point: The dossier amounts to one of the dirtiest tricks in U.S. political history. It was perpetrated by Team Clinton and yielded a vast payoff for Hillary’s campaign.

It's time to talk about former Vice President Joe Biden, the open sexual predator.

In this clip, former Vice President Biden uses a candid moment to fondle the chest area of a little girl -- in front of her entire family. Her visible discomfort is extremely obvious.

If that wasn't disturbing enough, in this clip, Biden not only touches a young woman but smells her hair, kisses her, whispering something into her ear, only to tell her "see you back home, I hope" after visibly creeping out her and who I assume is her mother.

As former VP, Biden had a habit of smelling the hair of women and (particularly) little girls. In this clip, he fixes the hair of a little girl, conveniently placing his hands near her chest area. Her and the other young girl beside her clearly seem uncomfortable by it all.

In this clip, Biden swears-in (R) Senator Jim Risch. During photographs, Biden touches Risch's daughter, specifically asking to take a photo alone with her. You can hear Risch say "Dad's going to stand pretty close." (I wonder why?) Biden even jokes and says, "If I was young..."

In this clip at another swearing-in ceremony, former VP Biden starts strangely sniffing the hair of a very young girl (he just met) repeatedly, also kissing on her. This man clearly has no boundaries.

A lot of the family members involved in these awkward moments don't know how to respond to Joe Biden preying on their young female relatives. Jeff Sessions, however, knows exactly what to do. Watch as he swats Biden's hand from touching his granddaughter. Wonder why he'd do that?
