Manafort will cooperate completely with the Russians influence in the 2016 election. The President is already expressing his displeasure with his cooperation.
Sarah Sanders has issued a statement saying that he was not a member of the campaign.

"This had absolutely nothing to do with the President or his victorious 2016 Presidential campaign. It is totally unrelated,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement after the news broke.
It is not clear what information Mr. Manafort might have that would be valuable to Mr. Mueller’s investigation. Mr. Manafort served in several roles in the Trump campaign, and was present for the June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower between a number of campaign officials and a Russian lawyer who was thought to be offering dirt on Hillary Clinton.
So far, four former Trump aides have pleaded guilty to charges related to the special counsel investigation: Michael D. Cohen, the president’s longtime personal lawyer; Michael T. Flynn, the former national security adviser; Rick Gates, the former deputy campaign chairman; and George Papadopoulos, a former campaign adviser.
His agreement have been extended until 2017 when he was at the infamous June meeting and during the campaign.
"Fatty" is correct.

John Kerry had illegal meetings with the very hostile Iranian Regime, which can only serve to undercut our great work to the detriment of the American people. He told them to wait out the Trump Administration! Was he registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act? BAD!

Jimmy you better be praying that this will not extend through his time as chairman chairman and the election.

However, the idea that Manafort has something to provide Special Counsel in regards to Russia or Trump has no logical merit. If Manafort had something to provide, he would have provided it a long time ago, back when he had some leverage. This plea makes perfect sense for everyone involved, and that perfect sense has nothing to do with Russian collusion.
manafort has shot his wad, and the value he provides to mueller at this point is negligible. if he had the stroke to bring down trump we would've sworn in president pence by now.

Manafort's deal means that jurors and the public may not hear some details about Manafort's activities on behalf of the pro-Kremlin government in Ukraine and his ties, financial and otherwise, to oligarchs in the region.
This, in turn, may endear him to President Trump, who has already called Manafort a "good man" who has been unfairly targeted by the Justice Department.
This might not be a nuclear weapon but if he cooperates with the investigation into the Russian intervention into the election boom.

why post the npr speculation when you can post the original TWO YEAR OLD story?
WASHINGTON (AP) — A firm run by Donald Trump’s campaign chairman directly orchestrated a covert Washington lobbying operation on behalf of Ukraine’s ruling political party, attempting to sway American public opinion in favor of the country’s pro-Russian government, emails obtained by The Associated Press show. Paul Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, never disclosed their work as foreign agents as required under federal law.
The lobbying included attempts to gain positive press coverage of Ukrainian officials in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press. Another goal: undercutting American public sympathy for the imprisoned rival of Ukraine’s then-president. At the time, European and American leaders were pressuring Ukraine to free her.
Gates personally directed the work of two prominent Washington lobbying firms in the matter, the emails show. He worked for Manafort’s political consulting firm at the time.
Manafort and Gates’ activities carry outsized importance, since they have steered Trump’s campaign since April. The pair also played a formative role building out Trump’s campaign operation after pushing out an early rival. Trump shook up his campaign’s organization again this week, but Manafort and Gates retain their titles and much of their influence. The new disclosures about their work come as Trump faces criticism for his friendly overtures to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump said Thursday night that, if elected, he will ask senior officials in his administration not to accept speaking fees, for five years after leaving office, from corporations that lobby “or from any entity tied to a foreign government.” He said it was among his efforts to “restore honor to government.”
Manafort and Gates have previously said they were not doing work that required them to register as foreign agents. Neither commented when reached by the AP on Thursday.
The emails show Gates personally directed two Washington lobbying firms, Mercury LLC and the Podesta Group Inc., between 2012 and 2014 to set up meetings between a top Ukrainian official and senators and congressmen on influential committees involving Ukrainian interests. Gates noted in the emails that the official, Ukraine’s foreign minister, did not want to use his own embassy in the United States to help coordinate the visits.
HA! ironically, it's tony podesta who has legal woes as a result of manafort's guilty plea:
Clinton-connected lobbyist Tony Podesta knew he was working with Paul Manafort on behalf of a Ukrainian politician, according to an indictment released Friday by the special counsel’s office.
Podesta, Manafort and Mercury Public Affairs all failed to register as foreign agents of Ukraine for the work.
Manafort entered a plea agreement with the special counsel Friday.
However, the idea that Manafort has something to provide Special Counsel in regards to Russia or Trump has no logical merit. If Manafort had something to provide, he would have provided it a long time ago, back when he had some leverage.
No logical merit....who the fuck is stupid enough to think manafort has nothing...Only rectum breath and his hope this blows over like everything trump....He would not be getting a deal if he has nothing....next target....Junior is going to be the lynch pin....the little punk is as dirty as the old man and thought he could get away with anything because daddy's rich....would be nice to see that little faggot on a chain gang cleaning up the white house lawn!!! Me thinks Paul was tired of jail....for a spoiled rich guy...not having his bed turned down had to be killer...LOLOLOL
