The Strib "finally" acknowledges the Omar marriage situation...

New documents revisit questions about Rep. Ilhan Omar's marriage history

New investigative documents released by a state agency have given fresh life to lingering questions about the marital history of Rep. Ilhan Omar and whether she once married a man — possibly her own brother — to skirt immigration laws.
Omar has denied the allegations in the past, dismissing them as “baseless rumors” first raised in an online Somali politics forum and championed by conservative bloggers during her 2016 campaign for the Minnesota House. But she said little then or since about Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the former husband who swept into her life in 2009 before a 2011 separation.

So the "conservative bloggers" are the Powerline gang. The irony is that these "new documents" have been discussed by the Powerline for quite some time. The fact that an actual investigation has proven what many suspected (that she was married to one person, while having kids and filing taxes with another) to be factual and true appears to be the only reason that the Star and Tribune are stepping up and reporting on it now.

So what is the Strib reporting now, that they refused to discuss prior?

  • That Omar was in fact married to one person, while living with and having children with another man.
  • That Omar, her legal husband, and the man she was living with all shared the same address.
  • That Omar falsely filed joint tax returns with the man she was not legally married to.
  • That Omar illegally used campaign funds to fix the tax return problem (something she was fined a whopping $500 for).

What does the Strib say about the rumor that the guy she was legally married to (who apparently lived with her and the guy she was having children with) was her brother?

The Star Tribune searched public records — including available databases, the marriage and divorce filing, business licenses, university records and other documents — and could find little publicly available information about Elmi. The search of records could neither conclusively confirm nor rebut the allegation that he is Omar’s sibling.

So I am certainly in favor of people being innocent until proven guilty on this sort of thing, but I think the concept is that we actually make some real attempt to figure out one way or the other. After all there were many photos and such, showing both her legal husband and the man she was having children with together in many situations, including apparently one at the hospital when she gave birth to her third child (with references to him being the uncle). The press, both locally and nationally were out of their way obtuse and disinterested in this one.

Omar and her political team pretty much clammed up on this issue, demanding that it was her personal life, off limits, and that the allegations were, of course, racist and Islamophobic. The more people pushed, the more they circled the wagons. Only an actual legal (not any MSM) investigation uncovered what was long reported by "conservative bloggers". These same bloggers were the ones responsible for busting up the Christmas in Cambodia lie by John Kerry (another story the media was clumsily disinterested in)

What we do know is that the box of rocks stupid Omar uses her lack of intelligence in her favor. She pretty much claimed that this whole joint tax filing thing was over her head:

During the deposition, Omar suggested she is disconnected from details — unaware, for instance, that she violated tax law by filing a married-jointly return with the wrong husband.

The "wrong husband"? Where are we? Utah?

The reality is this is what passes for reporting on someone who literally has zero business being a congressperson representing anyone (much less my state). I would offer that 90% of what she stands for is opposed by 90% of Minnesotans. Unfortunately she lives in a district that is 90% Democrat, so short of her being knocked off in a primary fight, she will remain in the House representing Minnesota nice in her anti-American mean spirited manner.

TIANJIN, China — Bella Wang barely noticed the section on the application inquiring whether she was married or had children. Employers in China routinely ask women such questions, and she had encountered them before in job interviews.

It was a surprise, though, after she accepted a position as a manager at the company, a big language-training business in the northern city of Tianjin, when she was told the job came with a condition.

As a married woman without children, she would have to sign a “special agreement” promising not to get pregnant for two years. If she broke that promise, the company said, she could be fired, without compensation.

Ms. Wang, 32, fluent in English with a degree in international trade, was outraged — but she signed.

This is China numnuts.

Last time I checked old white republican men were virtually non-existent in that country.

As is freedom, democracy, rule of law, and self-determination. See the correlation?

"It is worth noting that all four — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) are members of a group called the “Justice Democrats.” The group is specifically devoted to backing primary candidates against Democratic incumbents seen as being too moderate and too white."

Sorry Denny...

But at least Donald Trump knows who he is and isn't married to when it comes to filing his taxes. He's not confused by fairly simple American laws because he still wants to follow the laws of his religion.

I promise you this.

If it was Mike Pence who used an excuse that he broke the law because he would rather follow his Christian bible teachings, you would want him impeached for a blatant violation of Separation of Church and State.

If you found out that Trump used campaign funds to fix a false filing on his tax returns, you'd want him tarred and feathered and sentenced to life in prison with no payroll.

Omar did both and got a $500 fine.

So Denny... I see you're still very obsessed over my marriage to a younger Asian woman. Does the idea of a white guy like me being married to an extremely successful and extremely smart former model bother you that much that you cannot let it go?

Did your own white breading not attract enough of a woman that you would rather concentrate on her than my wife? Or perhaps you never found anyone to marry you?

and yes, I know I spelled parole as payroll.
