Schiff also argues that it was his intentions all along to simply get this person to come in and testify. Which, of course, puts the cart before the horse as his or her complaint would have first had to have been vetted by the IG and the DNI before it could be sent to Congress. The idea that he would see this as nothing more than another "hearing" to investigate the President seems a little hypocritical considering the basic argument that investigating a Democrat during an election season is election interference.
The funny thing here is that nobody on the left seems to care that Schiff and the Democrats have been dishonest, have been tampering with Intelligence internal proceedings, and that they have worked double time to cover it all up.
Much like the 2016 election which included the Obama Administration placing about a half dozen of Trump's associate under investigation, as well as Trump himself... the left is treating this as a matter of the ends justify the means, head in the sand, I won't admit that my side did worse than anything I am accusing Trump of doing.
The real scandal here is the Democrats working with an internal Democratic operative within the CIA along with DNC lawyers to attempt to manufacture another anti-Trump "investigation" in the middle of the campaign... while simultaneous "claiming" that they are doing so because Trump tried to start an investigation on one of theirs?
Well pot, meet kettle? Your brain dead Democratic supporters are incapable of seeing the irony and dripping hypocrisy, but the rest of us see it as clear as day.

Federal law doesn't provide any whistleblower protections to intel operatives who refuse to first provide their allegations to the ICIG and instead go outside the statutory process to leak their allegations to partisan activists.

Trump Wants China to Investigate Biden

President Trump told reporters that China should launch an investigation into Joe and Hunter Biden, though he noted that hasn’t yet asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to do so, Axios reports.
The statement came as Trump was asked once again what he hoped Ukraine President Zelensky would do about the Bidens when they spoke in their now infamous phone call in July.
Said Trump: “Well I would think if they were honest about it, they would start a major investigation into the Bidens. It’s a very simple answer. They should investigate the Bidens. How does a company newly formed and all these companies — by the way, likewise, China should start an investigation into the Bidens. Because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine."
He continued: “So I would say that President Zelensky, if it were me, I would recommend that they start an investigation into the Bidens. Because nobody has any doubt that they weren’t crooked. That was a crooked deal 100%.”
