He spent $300 million, has risen in the polls into double digits, and now he faces the wrath!
95% of murders, murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male minorities, sixteen to twenty-five. It’s true in New York, it’s true in virtually every city. That’s where the real crime is. You’ve gotta get the guns out of the hands of the people that are getting killed.
So Mini-Mike Bloomberg made some pretty damning statements back in his time. One would have to assume that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Now that people have noticed him (and how could you not with the $300 million spending spree) it's clear that he will no longer be given a pass.
I find it amusing that Mini-Mike has become the "flavor of the month" for some Democrats who are looking for someone (anyone) who they think can take on Trump. Problem is that Bloomberg is a former Independent who was a former Republican who barely has a plus rating within the Democratic Party in favorability. He simply isn't much of a likable guy and his policies (other than gun control, gun control, and gun control) are all over the place. He also looked a bit silly at times during his reign as Mayor of New York (banning large sized drinks for instance).
Let's face it folks. At one time it was O'Rourke who was going to jump from table to table and then into the White House? Then it seemed like it was Biden forever, until it was Warren for a couple of weeks, and then it was Biden, until it wasn't. Now it's possibly Bernie, unless it's Mayor Pete. But watch out, here comes Bloomberg! He's at 13.6% in the National RCP average and some are already demanding he is the new favorite, even if Bernie appears on the cusp of a big win in New Hampshire after his popular vote win in Iowa.
If I had to guess, I would say that Bernie will win tonight, and then win again in Nevada. If he starts off with two wins and a tie, then South Carolina is probably his for the taking. If he competes well on Super Tuesday and comes out with a plurality of delegates, then Democrats are in big trouble. Either he wins and they have a Socialist at the top of the ticket, or they figure out a way to take it from him again, and the progressives scream bloody murder, take their ball, and will go home. This is the proverbial rock and hard place!

Mighty Mike has made some mistakes and the difference between him and Trump is, he is and will be willing to admit them, and will not engage in the Trumpian palaver that he is perfect and never wrong and perfect and a genius. And he can run circles around Trump discussing serious policy matters.
All Trump knows is to bloviate.
At one point, Bloomburg in a telephone conversation with Trump advised him that he or anyone else who wanted to have success as a president, should be sure to surround himself/herself with "people who are smarter than you are." Trump objected that "no one is smarter than I am."
At that, Bloomberg foresaw great trouble coming.
Trump Adviser Says U.K. Slips Behind in Trade Priorities
After months of promises that the U.K. would be next in line for trade negotiations with the Trump administration, White House economic adviser told Bloomberg that the European Union might still be the easier target for a quick outcome aimed at avoiding a transatlantic tariff battle.
He said trade talks with the EU and U.K. are on separate tracks but because of “some structure” on the EU side, “reigniting that will be easier” than starting from scratch with the U.K.
Former President Barack Obama warned back in 2016 that the U.K. would be at the “back of the queue” in any trade deal with the U.S. if the country chose to leave the EU.

It was nice when we had a President with presidential advisers who had some brains.
Mike Bloomberg on Tuesday hit back at President Trump for tweeting an audio clip that drew attention to Bloomberg’s controversial “stop-and-frisk” policing policy and called the former New York City mayor “A TOTAL RACIST.”
The tweet had already been deleted by the time Bloomberg issued a statement about it.
WHY?
Bloomberg, now running for president, has acknowledged that the policy was a mistake. The clip was from 2015, a year after he left office.
“President Trump’s deleted tweet is the latest example of his endless efforts to divide Americans,” Bloomberg said. “I inherited the police practice of stop-and-frisk, and as part of our effort to stop gun violence it was overused. By the time I left office, I cut it back by 95%, but I should’ve done it faster and sooner. I regret that and I have apologized — and I have taken responsibility for taking too long to understand the impact it had on black and Latino communities.”

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!:
Former "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett was indicted Tuesday by a special prosecutor in Chicago investigating allegations he bogusly reported being the victim of a January 2019 hate-crime attack, officials said.
Smollett, 37, was indicted by special prosecutor Dan Webb, who was appointed by a Cook County judge to continue looking into his false allegations after the Cook County State’s Attorney Office dropped all charges against the actor, a source close to Smollett told ABC news.
The Cook County Clerk's Office confirmed to ABC station WLS-TV in Chicago that Smollett had been indicted.

First he came for @comey,
and I said nothing because I was mad at @comey because of the Clinton email investigation and I blamed him for Trump’s election.
Then he came for Andy McCabe
and I said nothing because there was this inspector general report that said McCabe lacked candor.
Then he came for Jim Baker
and I said nothing because I had never heard of Jim Baker and the FBI director is entitled to his own leadership team anyway.
Then he came for @NatSecLisa
and @petestrzok
and I said nothing because they sent text messages and the president and Fox News kept reminding me that they had an affair.
Then he came for Bruce Ohr
and I said nothing because that one was so deep in the weeds that it made my head hurt and maybe Bruce Ohr shouldn’t have been doing what he was doing anyway.
Then he came for Jeff Sessions
and I said nothing because, sh*t, he was Jeff F**king Sessions and it actually took Donald Trump to discover the one or two honorable bones in his body.
Then he came for Sir @KimDarroch,
and I said nothing because he’s a British government official and I have no dog in a fight over how the UK staffs its embassies.
Then he came for Marsha Yovanovich
and I said nothing because ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the president and he can remove ambassadors for any reason or no reason at all.
And then he came for

and his brother, Evgeny Vindman,
and I said nothing—because I was used to it.

The Tuesday Night Massacre.
All four career prosecutors handling the case against Roger Stone, a confidant of President Trump, asked to withdraw from the legal proceedings Tuesday — and one quit his job entirely — after the Justice Department signaled it planned to reduce their sentencing recommendation for the president’s friend.
Jonathan Kravis, one of the prosecutors, wrote in a court filing he had resigned as an assistant U.S. attorney, leaving government altogether. Three others — Aaron S.J. Zelinsky, Adam Jed and Michael Marando — asked a judge’s permission to leave the case.
Zelinsky, a former member of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s team, also indicated in a filing he was quitting his special assignment to the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office, though a spokeswoman said he will remain an assistant U.S. attorney in Baltimore.

MORE THAN EIGHT IN 10 BLACK AMERICANS THINK DONALD TRUMP IS A RACIST
Black Americans are overwhelmingly dissatisfied with President Donald Trump's job performance, and a majority say he's made racism a bigger problem in the country, according to a new poll.
The findings are part of a new Washington Post/Ipsos survey conducted earlier this month and released on Friday. According to the poll, 90 percent of black Americans disapprove of how Trump has handled himself in office over the past three years.
Plus, more than eight in 10 black Americans believe that Trump is a racist and that he's made racism an even bigger problem in the United States. Three-quarters of those polled (76 percent) said that the things Trump is doing as president are bad for African Americans.
Those findings are in direct contrast to Trump's statements on his accomplishments for the African-American community. Trump frequently claims that he has done more for black Americans than any other president and that he is the "least racist person you've ever met." HA HA HA HA HA HA
Trump did not fare well among black voters in the 2016 election (according to exit polls, he received roughly 8 percent of the black vote), and the latest poll suggests that even fewer are willing to support his re-election. In the Post/Ipsos survey, Trump is shown receiving between 4 and 5 percent support among black registered voters in direct matchups against eight potential Democratic candidates.
Thats the poll where of the 900 registered voters, a whopping 876 are democrats. So it's a poll of democrats pretending to represent the everyone.
See the excellent New York Times article I posted around midnight yesterday in the New Hampshire Open Thread (next thread up).

like being pissed off that your 9 year sentence recommendation for a paltry process crime and not being man enough to admit it isn't a reason.
what kind of a TDS-afflicted asshole recommends 9 years in prison for the same crime andrew mccabe was never charged with after committing? the same crime papadopoulos served 14 days for?
you know how this whole thing ends, alky?
it ends with full pardons for manafort, flynn, stone, papadopoulos and anyone else harmed by this miscarriage of justice. except for cohen. that fuckstick stays in jail.
