So if the Democrat feel good Q-Poll has Biden dropping 10 in Florida then he's in trouble. And I think there is still more support for Trump in Florida then the polls are picking up.
If Trumps wins big in Florida....
And the Q poll has him up 10 nationally......BWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! I think I'll wait a week and see how this shakes out with the rest!!!!!
Stock Market drops over 800 points today. Trump is trying to figure out how it's Biden's fault.
Former Vice President Joe Biden has opened up a clear 8-point lead over President Trump in Pennsylvania, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday.
The poll of likely voters in the Keystone State shows Biden garnering 52 percent of the vote to Trump's 44 percent. Another survey of the state from Monmouth University released on Wednesday showed a tighter race, with Biden ahead by a scant 4-point margin.
Both candidates see Pennsylvania as a must-win battleground this year. Trump carried the state in 2016 by only about 44,000 votes - less than 1 point - and is hoping to notch a second victory there in November.
Biden doesn't need Florida, especially when he wins Arizona, where he has a 10% lead
Scott ignores bad news
Scott is an enabler for an authoritarian ideology under Trump.
The real lawless extremist is Trump
Yes, Barr sometimes mouths pieties about the Constitution. But as Tamsin Shaw points out, this is hollow: For Barr, the executive unbound to exert the will of the (selectively imagined) polity amid crisis is an ideal, a justification to support “lawlessness,” in this case, Trump’s.
In our current moment, that crisis has to be invented or largely exaggerated to justify that lawlessness: The left is the real threat to the rule of law. Democratic officials struggling to balance profoundly difficult competing imperatives are deliberately encouraging civil breakdown.
So what Trump and Barr are doing is grounded in a worldview of sorts. But their ideas are extreme and based on fabrications, and they’re being used to justify Trump’s attacks on the very possibility of civil society.
To wit: Barr will rely on the specter of purely fake mail-vote criminality to legitimize Trump’s invalidation of countless mail ballots to illicitly hold power. Barr will help Trump use fabricated claims about “anarchist” cities to punish them with the state.
Meanwhile, Barr will help delegitimize an official accounting of foreign sabotage of the 2016 election to create cover for another round of it on Trump’s behalf. Barr’s grotesque exaggerations of the leftist threat help give Trump justification for urging right-wing vigilantes to take matters into their own hands, lawlessly.
So let’s be clear on who the real lawless extremists are here. They aren’t Biden and Democrats. They’re Trump and his enablers.
Scott ignores bad news
Because he had his head stuck up his fat white ass and enjoys the stench!!!!!!

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Thursday said President Trump has "legitimized a dark side of human nature” in remarks at Grace Lutheran Church in Kenosha, Wis.
Speaking at a community gathering to address the recent civil unrest over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, Biden said the unrest is not entirely Trump’s fault, but that the president had emboldened racists and inflamed racial tensions at a time when the nation is deeply divided.

The former vice president told a story about how protests had destroyed his hometown of Wilmington, Del., years ago following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He said he recently looked out over Wilmington and was briefly encouraged to see how it had been rebuilt.
“I said, don’t tell me things can’t change … but I made a mistake about something,” Biden said. “I thought you could defeat hate. It only hides. And when someone in authority breathes oxygen under that rock, it legitimizes those folks to come on out from under the rocks.”
Biden brought up Trump’s response to the white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville, Va., as evidence of the president’s failed leadership on race.
“It’s not all [Trump’s] fault,” Biden added. “But it legitimized a dark side of human nature. What it did though, was also expose what had not been paid enough attention to. The underlying racism that is institutionalized in the United States that still exists and has for 400 years. So we end up with a circumstance like we have here in Kenosha.”
It’s Nearly Impossible to Steal an Election In the U.S.
September 3, 2020 at 5:42 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard, as are all the below:
The Economist: “Admittedly… China and Iran have joined Russia in seeking to influence this election through covert means, presumably emboldened by Russia having paid little price for having done so last time. This is a shocking development. But even if they were all pushing in the same direction—which is unlikely—there is no reason to think that they could decisively tip the result.
“America’s electoral system is sufficiently decentralized for attempts to rig the vote on a large scale to be incredibly hard. And though voter fraud occasionally takes place, both in-person and by means of absentee ballots, it is harshly punished and very rare; various studies have found the rate to be well below one in a million votes cast."
Michelle Obama and Ann Romney Team Up

“The former first lady and Romney — whose husband, Sen. Mitt Romney, lost the 2012 race to former President Barack Obama — are both scheduled to appear on ‘VOMO: Vote Or Miss Out,’ an hourlong ‘non-partisan comedy event’ that, according to ABC, will ‘encourage electoral participation in the 2020 election’ when it airs on Sept. 14.”

Only in Trump’s America would the President encourage his supporters to commit a felony, and voter fraud by attempting to vote twice, and have an Attorney General remain silently by.
Only in Trump’s America would a President defend one of his supporters who was video taped murdering two (2) people with an AR-15 in public.
Only in Trump’s America would a President suggest that the American people ingest or inject Lysol and other disinfectants into their bodies.
Only in Trump’s America would a President ignore Russia paying bounty money for the killing of American Troops.

Only in Trump’s America would an Impeached President run for re-election.

Biden doesn't need Florida, especially when he wins Arizona, where he has a 10% lead
So Biden is conceding Florida. And so starts the Florida wave.
Everything President Trump touches becomes partisan, both intentionally and not, and Trump’s got his hands all over the pandemic.
We are therefore no longer surprised when we see data like this, from a new poll conducted by CNN: Eighty-seven percent of those who plan to vote for former vice president Joe Biden are very or somewhat concerned about the pandemic. Seventy-one percent of Trump voters aren’t.
To some extent, this is also a function of how views of the pandemic first emerged. The first hot spots were in California, Washington and New York. In New York City in April, thousands of people were dying a day. The pandemic was centered in cities in blue states, and red state residents, particularly in rural areas, seemed less concerned about the virus.
That changed in early June. By then — shortly before Vice President Pence infamously boasted about the administration’s success in combating the virus — more new cases were emerging in states that supported Trump in 2016 than in those which voted for Hillary Clinton.
When the pandemic was at its high, about three-quarters of new cases were in red states. Now, about 7 in 10 new cases are in red states.

I suspect that they will send Harris to Florida to get the African American vote and remind the older men that the President will take away Social Security benefits
Republican and independent voters are twice as likely to not reveal their true preference for president in a telephone poll, a study found.
CloudResearch, an online market research and data collection company, found that 11.7% of Republicans and 10.5% of independents said they wouldn’t share their true opinion, while only 5.4% of Democrats said the same. According to CloudResearch, some survey responders said they thought it would be “dangerous” to express an opinion outside the “current liberal viewpoint.”
It is, you can get killed for supporting Trump and the Democrats in control of the city won't give a damn and the Democrat nominee for president will blame you for your own deal as he hobnobs with an accused rapist and his anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, anti-white father.
Monmouth poll has the race dead even in Pennsylvania after his 13 point lead a month ago.
It must be this thing.
Biden can't lose both Florida and Pennsylvania and win.
I suspect that they will send Harris to Florida to get the African American
Because she's a real African American don'tchaknow.
That's the party line. The African American community isn't going to believe your bullshit
Bullshit
The African American community isn't going to believe your bullshit
I don't have to tell them a damn thing they know. Trump is pulling in 27% of the African American vote. The most vote a Republican president has received in 70 years.
And watching a Trump rally on TV, he's winning the optics.
President @realDonaldTrump: Joe Biden is the puppet of the socialists, Marxists, and cop-hating extremists
An intelligence bulletin issued by the Department of Homeland Security warns that Russia is attempting to sow doubt about the integrity of the 2020 elections by amplifying false claims related to mail-in voting resulting in widespread fraud, assertions that have been repeatedly pushed by President Donald Trump, according documents obtained by CNN.
“We assess that Russia is likely to continue amplifying criticisms of vote-by-mail and shifting voting processes amidst the COVID-19 pandemic to undermine public trust in the electoral process,” the bulletin, first reported by ABC News, reads.
The news comes one day after Attorney General Bill Barr condemned states for encouraging mail-in voting in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. Barr also downplayed Russia’s well-documented attempts to help Trump in presidential elections, including in this election cycle, instead pointing the finger at China despite the fact intelligence agencies have not said Beijing is actively meddling in the election.
The revelation adds to the well-documented body of evidence that Russia is again interfering in a US presidential election, and also clearly indicates Moscow is tailoring its messaging to amplify false narratives that benefit the Trump campaign.
Last month, the US intelligence community’s top election security official said in a statement Russia is working to “denigrate” former Vice President Joe Biden’s White House bid, yet in the weeks since, Trump and senior members of his administration have attempted to cast the President as the victim of foreign interference by cherry-picking intelligence to suggest China is attempting to hurt his campaign.
Meanwhile, Trump has also been supported by his intelligence chief, John Ratcliffe, who curbed access of election security briefings to Congress prompting criticism from Democrats who say he is attempting to suppress information about Russian interference from the American public.
News of the DHS document prompted immediate criticism from the Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Rep. Adam Schiff.
“The new bulletin from the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis underscores two concerning facts: First, as the Intelligence Community confirmed last month, Russia is once again seeking to interfere in our elections and sow distrust in our democratic process. And second, among the range of measures it is pursuing, Russia is echoing destructive and false narratives around vote by mail that President Trump and his enablers, including Attorney General Barr, have been aggressively promoting,” Schiff said in a statement.
“This bulletin further demonstrates why the ODNI’s cancelation of in-person briefings on election security for Congress is so dangerous—Congress must be able to directly question and engage with the intelligence community professionals with the responsibility for protecting our elections from foreign interference,” he added.
A committee official told CNN that Schiff has already requested a briefing about another DHS bulletin that was withheld by DHS in July warning of a Russian plot to spread misinformation regarding Biden’s mental health and asked specific questions of the department as part of the committee’s ongoing investigation into the potential politicization of intelligence agencies.
In a draft of the bulletin obtained by ABC News and confirmed by DHS titled “Russia Likely to Denigrate Health of US Candidates to Influence 2020 Election,” analysts said with “high confidence” that “Russian malign influence actors are likely to continue denigrating presidential candidates through allegations of poor mental or physical health to influence the outcome of the 2020 election.” The bulletin, which was produced by the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), also raised efforts by China and Iran to criticize Trump, ABC reported.
After news of that bulletin was published, acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said his department was working to revise the intelligence report.
“The report that you reference was at the end of the day a very poorly written report,” Wolf said in a Fox News interview. “When I talked to career officials in I&A, in the office that produced the report, they also had questions about it. They’re hard at work on rewriting that report, putting it in some better context and I hope to see that report out soon.”

Trump accuses Biden of spending 40 years "shipping Pennsylvania jobs to China." And thanks the 1500 members of Boilermakers Local 154 for their endorsement. "What a job you do. You're the heart of this country," says Trump.
WASHINGTON — Virtually everywhere across the United States, people followed directives this spring to stay home to avoid contracting — or spreading — the coronavirus, a new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found, in contrast to media accounts of noisy demonstrations in favor of “opening up” locked-down states.
And medical researchers say that compliance helped reduce the spread of the coronavirus, which has killed more than 186,000 Americans.
While the CDC did not explicitly endorse a new round of lockdowns — though others have in recent weeks — it did say that its new findings, which clearly endorse the practice, could help inform decisions as the nation continues to battle the pandemic.
That isn’t likely to please President Trump, who has maintained that lockdowns do more harm than good.
One union local probably has no more than a couple hundred members

He's a pathological liar.
When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true.
Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.
Belleau Wood was a masterful battle in World War One

Trump infamously avoided the draft for the Vietnam War with four education deferments and a fifth deferment for "bone spurs." "I had a doctor that gave me a letter, a very strong letter on the heels," Trump told the New York Times in 2016. As illustrated by the Atlantic report, Trump has a streak of questioning military service. In 2016, Trump criticized the Muslim parents of a slain U.S. soldier who said at the Democratic National Convention that Trump "sacrifced nothing," responding by, "I think i've made a lot of sacrifices, I work very, very hard" and questioning why the soldier's mother didn't say anything during the speech.
He's a scum
Belleau Wood is a consequential battle in American history, and the ground on which it was fought is venerated by the Marine Corps. America and its allies stopped the German advance toward Paris there in the spring of 1918. But Trump, on that same trip, asked aides, “Who were the good guys in this war?” He also said that he didn’t understand why the United States would intervene on the side of the Allies.
He's never read the history of the world.
But you fucking stupid idiots claim that this is false news
Or maybe you just don't fucking care
David Drissel: I’m not going to hold back anymore in my criticism of Trump. He’s a bigger threat to our national security than Osama Bin Laden ever was. Trump is responsible for tens of thousands of American deaths, due to his willfully negligent, irrational, and incompetent response to COVID-19; thus doing more damage to the US than any foreign terrorist could ever have imagined. And our economy is in a shambles - the worst it has been since the Great Depression.
In addition, Trump has assumed the de facto mantle of Terrorist-in-Chief, as he seeks to radicalize and mobilize far-right domestic terrorists armed with assault weapons as they openly attack peaceful protestors on our streets. His xenophobic and racist rhetoric has emboldened the commission of an unprecedented number of hate crimes and mass shootings across the country. Trump is truly a very dangerous, dishonest evil terrorist mastermind who cares only about enriching himself and maintaining his own power and privilege - no matter how many innocent Americans die in the process.
Trump’s corruption and criminality know no bounds; and his treasonous ties to Putin’s international terrorist network are obvious. Trump tramples on our constitution with impunity and undermines our election system at every turn. I never thought that I would see such an awful, despicable conman and violent psychopath lie his way into the White House. Wake up America, before it is too late to save this nation!
Excerpts from The Atlantic Article:
“When McCain died, in August 2018, Trump told his senior staff, according to three sources with direct knowledge of this event, “We’re not going to support that loser’s funeral,” and he became furious, according to witnesses, when he saw flags lowered to half-staff. “What the fuck are we doing that for? Guy was a fucking loser,” the president told aides. “
I will provide other sources that back up the story
You don't need to back it up. It rings true of Trump.
7:06 That is one loser/sucker who deserves to lose the next election.
Biden is not conceding Florida, CommonUNSENSE.
He's still leading there.
Trump remained fixated on McCain, one of the few prominent Republicans to continue criticizing him after he won the nomination. When McCain died, in August 2018, Trump told his senior staff, according to three sources with direct knowledge of this event, “We’re not going to support that loser’s funeral,” and he became furious, according to witnesses, when he saw flags lowered to half-staff. “What the fuck are we doing that for? Guy was a fucking loser,” the president told aides. Trump was not invited to McCain’s funeral. (These sources, and others quoted in this article, spoke on condition of anonymity. The White House did not return earlier calls for comment, but Alyssa Farah, a White House spokesperson, emailed me this statement shortly after this story was posted: “This report is false. President Trump holds the military in the highest regard. He’s demonstrated his commitment to them at every turn: delivering on his promise to give our troops a much needed pay raise, increasing military spending, signing critical veterans reforms, and supporting military spouses. This has no basis in fact.”)
Eliot A. Cohen: America’s generals must stand up to Trump
Trump’s understanding of heroism has not evolved since he became president. According to sources with knowledge of the president’s views, he seems to genuinely not understand why Americans treat former prisoners of war with respect. Nor does he understand why pilots who are shot down in combat are honored by the military. On at least two occasions since becoming president, according to three sources with direct knowledge of his views, Trump referred to former President George H. W. Bush as a “loser” for being shot down by the Japanese as a Navy pilot in World War II. (Bush escaped capture, but eight other men shot down during the same mission were caught, tortured, and executed by Japanese soldiers.)
President Trump’s vaccine chief sees a ‘very, very low chance’ of a vaccine by Election Day.
Moncef Slaoui, the chief adviser for the White House vaccine program, said on Thursday that it was “extremely unlikely but not impossible” that a vaccine could be available by the end of October.

In Union There Is Strength
I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled. The words “Equal Justice Under Law” are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.
When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.
We must reject any thinking of our cities as a “battlespace” that our uniformed military is called upon to “dominate.” At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict—a false conflict—between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part. Keeping public order rests with civilian state and local leaders who best understand their communities and are answerable to them.
[From the June 2020 issue: We are living in a failed state]
James Madison wrote in Federalist 14 that “America united with a handful of troops, or without a single soldier, exhibits a more forbidding posture to foreign ambition than America disunited, with a hundred thousand veterans ready for combat.” We do not need to militarize our response to protests. We need to unite around a common purpose. And it starts by guaranteeing that all of us are equal before the law.
Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that “The Nazi slogan for destroying us…was ‘Divide and Conquer.’ Our American answer is ‘In Union there is Strength.’” We must summon that unity to surmount this crisis—confident that we are better than our politics.
Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.
[Mike Mullen: I cannot remain silent]
We can come through this trying time stronger, and with a renewed sense of purpose and respect for one another. The pandemic has shown us that it is not only our troops who are willing to offer the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of the community. Americans in hospitals, grocery stores, post offices, and elsewhere have put their lives on the line in order to serve their fellow citizens and their country. We know that we are better than the abuse of executive authority that we witnessed in Lafayette Square. We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution. At the same time, we must remember Lincoln’s “better angels,” and listen to them, as we work to unite.
Only by adopting a new path—which means, in truth, returning to the original path of our founding ideals—will we again be a country admired and respected at home and abroad.
James Mattis, the esteemed Marine general who resigned as secretary of defense in December 2018 to protest Donald Trump’s Syria policy, has, ever since, kept studiously silent about Trump’s performance as president. Sources CONFIRM Trump Remarks on Fallen Soldiers

President Trump denied in series of tweets that he had called fallen soldiers “losers” and “suckers,” as was reported in a blockbuster article in The Atlantic earlier in the evening.
The Associated Press, however, has MULTIPLE SOURCES who confirmed the president’s disparaging remark.

FOR US TO SAY THAT
"Trump is a terrible president,"
IS ENTIRELY TRUE.
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday,
“If the revelations in today’s Atlantic article are true, then they are yet another marker of how deeply President Trump and I disagree about the role of the President of the United States.
“Duty, honor, country — those are the values that drive our service members,” Biden said in a statement Thursday night, adding that if he is elected president, “I will ensure that our American heroes know that I will have their back and honor their sacrifice — always.”
Biden’s son Beau served in Iraq in 2008-09.
The Defense officials also confirmed to The AP reporting in The Atlantic that Trump on Memorial Day 2017 had gone with his chief of staff, John Kelly, to visit the Arlington Cemetery gravesite of Kelly’s son, Robert, who was killed in 2010 in Afghanistan, and said to Kelly: “I don’t get it. What was in it for them?”
The senior Marine Corps officer and The Atlantic, citing sources with firsthand knowledge, also reported that Trump said he didn’t want to support the August 2018 funeral of Republican Sen. John McCain, a decorated Navy veteran who spent years as a Vietnam prisoner of war, because he was a “loser.” The Atlantic also reported that Trump was angered that flags were flown at half-staff for McCain, saying: “What the f—- are we doing that for? Guy was a f—-ing loser.”

The magazine said Trump also referred to former President George H.W. Bush as a “loser” because he was shot down by the Japanese as a Navy pilot in World War II.

My still living 101 year old father is credited with* piloting 51 B-17 missions in WWII.
He came home alive, but many such pilots did not.
He would never call those who were shot down "losers." He regards them as the true heroes, not himself.
_________
*He was credited with that many although he actually flew a few less than that: He received double credit for some missions that he volunteered for even though they were especially dangerous, with no fighter accompaniment because of weather.
If he had been shot down, he would be what Trump calls a loser.

LACEY, Wash. (AP) — A man suspected of fatally shooting a supporter of a right-wing group in Portland, Oregon, last week after a caravan of Donald Trump backers rode through downtown was killed Thursday as investigators moved in to arrest him, the U.S. Marshals Service said Friday.
The man, Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, was killed as a federal task force attempted to apprehend him in Lacey, Washington, about 120 miles (193 kilometers) north of Portland. Reinoehl was the prime suspect in the killing of 39-year-old Aaron “Jay” Danielson, who was shot in the chest Saturday night, a senior Justice Department official told The Associated Press.

Matt Taibbi:
“Trump blew through the Republican primaries in 2015-2016.
"His opponents, a slate of mannequins hired by energy companies and weapons contractors to be pretend-patriots and protectors of ‘family values,’ had no answer for his insults and offer-everything-to-everyone tactics.
"Like most politicians, they’d been protected their whole lives by donors, party hacks, and pundits who’d turned campaigns into a club system designed to insulate paid lackeys from challenges to their phony gravitas.
"Trump had no institutional loyalty to the club, shat all over it in addition to its silly frontmen, and walked to the nomination.
“So long as he was never going to win the actual presidency, this was funny.
"The Republicans deserved it.
"Watching GOP chair Reince Priebus try to pretend he wasn’t being forced to eat the biggest-in-history shit sandwich by embracing his obese conqueror at the 2016 convention was a delicious scene, similar to what most Americans probably felt watching Bill Belichick squirm at the podium after the Eagles pummeled him in the Super Bowl.
“The Democrats aren’t much better, though, and the spectacle of ‘inevitable’ Hillary Clinton being too shocked to ascend to the Javits Center podium, instead sending writhing campaign creature John Podesta to announce through a forced smile that the mortified audience shouldn’t worry and should get some sleep instead, was also high comedy, not that I really saw it at the time.
“They all deserved it, every last politician ruined that year.
"THE COUNTRY DID NOT, HOWEVER, WHICH IS WHY THE LAST FOUR YEARS HAVE BEEN A NIGHTMARE BEYOND ALL RECOGNITION.
"THE JOKE ENDED UP BEING ON US.”

Fauci warns 7 states to take extra holiday precautions against COVID-19 surge
Mary Papenfuss
Sep 4th 2020 5:10AM
Infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci is getting the word out to Americans — especially those in seven central states — to be extra vigilant over the holiday weekend amid concerns about a spike in COVID-19 cases.
He warned that carelessness about the coronavirus could trigger a surge, similar to what happened after the Memorial Day holiday and the Fourth of July. That means staying away from crowded picnics, backyards and beaches. The fear is that Americans are tired of COVID-19 precautions and may risk an end-of-summer blowout.
“You don’t want to be someone who’s propagating the outbreak,” Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on the “Today” show. “You want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.”
In particular, he warned in an interview with Bloomberg:
“There are several states that are at risk for surging, namely North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois. Those states are starting to see an increase in the percent positive of their testing. That’s generally predictive that there’s going to be a problem.”
Fauci also joined a call to governors with Vice President Mike Pence this week to urge all Americans to wear face masks in public and follow social distancing guidelines.
“If we’re careless about it, then we could wind up with a surge following Labor Day,” Fauci warned. “It really depends on how we behave as a country.”
The U.S. has recorded more than 6 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and nearly 187,000 deaths.
Trump Looks Close to Full Derailment
September 4, 2020 at 7:21 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Stephen Collinson:
“There have been many weeks when the Trump train has looked like it’s going to jump the tracks. But in the seven days since the Republican convention, the President has come perhaps as close as he ever has to a full derailment.
“The outrages, conspiracy theories and drama have come so fast that it’s almost impossible to believe Donald Trump can keep this up for another eight weeks until Election Day. But as Democratic nominee Joe Biden begins to travel and to offer an alternative vision of sober presidential-style leadership, events of the last few days have clarified the personality clash and issues that will decide the race.”

Suspect in Portland fatal shooting has been killed: reports

An Antifa sympathizer who was said to be a suspect in the fatal shooting of a Patriot Prayer supporter in Portland, Ore., last month was reportedly killed Thursday night as authorities moved in to arrest him.
Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, died in Lacey, Wash., outside Seattle, during an operation by a federal fugitive task force, The New York Times reported.
Reinoehl's death was also confirmed by a senior Justice Department official, according to The Associated Press. The suspect was shot by law enforcement after drawing a gun on officers, the AP report said.

A new ABC News/Ipsos poll finds a significant majority of Americans believe President Trump’s rhetoric on the unrest in parts of the country is making matters worse — with even members of his own party divided on his approach. WOW
“Over half of the country — 55% — in the new poll said they think Trump is aggravating the situation,
while just over one in 10 Americans, 13%, said they think he is making it better.
“Among his base, 30% of Republicans say the president is improving the situation, compared to 26% who say he’s having an adverse impact.
"Only 18% of white, non-college educated Americans, another core constituency for the president, believe he is having a positive effect on the protests,
while 41% view his comments on the demonstrations amid the debate over racial equality as having a negative influence.”

About 93 percent of the racial-justice protests that swept the United States this summer remained peaceful and nondestructive, according to a report released Thursday, with the violence and property damage that has dominated political discourse constituting only a minute portion of the thousands of demonstrations that followed the killing of George Floyd in May.
The report, produced by the nonprofit Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, also concluded that an escalation in the government response to protests and a sharp uptick in extremist activity means the United States faces a growing risk of “political violence and instability” ahead of the 2020 election.
ACLED, which monitors war zones and political upheaval around the world, launched the US Crisis Monitor report with Princeton University’s Bridging Divides Initiative. Using media accounts and other public information, the report identified 7,750 protests from May 26 through Aug. 22 that were linked to the Black Lives Matter movement. The protests took place in 2,400 locations across all 50 states and the District.
The group identified about 220 locations where the protests became “violent,” which authors of the report defined as demonstrators clashing with police or counterprotesters or causing property damage.
Even in those cases, however, the upheaval was “largely confined to specific blocks, rather than dispersed throughout the city,” the report states.
U.S. political divide becomes increasingly violent, rattling activists and police
Still, the researchers warned of “violent political polarization” in the United States that they fear could spill over into the November election
A significant majority of Americans believe President Donald Trump's rhetoric on the unrest in parts of the country is making matters worse -- with even members of his own party divided on his approach -- a new ABC News/Ipsos poll released Friday finds.
Trump's attempt to reframe the race against former Vice President Joe Biden around "law and order," does not appear to be breaking through.
Over half of the country -- 55% -- in the new poll, which was conducted by Ipsos in partnership with ABC News using Ipsos' Knowledge Panel, said they think Trump is aggravating the situation, while just over one in 10 Americans, 13%, said they think he is making it better. Fewer than one-third, 29%, believe what Trump has said on the topic has had no effect on the protests over racial injustice.
Among his base, 30% of Republicans say the president is improving the situation, compared to 26% who say he's having an adverse impact. Only 18% of white, non-college educated Americans, another core constituency for the president, believe he is having a positive effect on the protests, while 41% view his comments on the demonstrations amid the debate over racial equality as having a negative influence.

Biden
"If the revelations in today's Atlantic article are true, then they are yet another marker of how deeply President Trump and I disagree about the role of the President of the United States," Biden said, adding, "And if I have the honor of serving as the next commander in chief, I will ensure that our American heroes know that I will have their back and honor their sacrifice — always."
It is not the first time Trump's boasting about the military has been at odds with his statements.
He lashed out at Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who spent more than five years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam. "He's not a war hero," Trump, then a Republican candidate for president, said in 2015 at a town hall in Iowa. "I like people who weren't captured."
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/06/james-mattis-denounces-trump-protests-militarization/612640/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=share
James Mattis, the esteemed Marine general who resigned as secretary of defense in December 2018 to protest Donald Trump’s Syria policy, has, ever since, kept studiously silent about Trump’s performance as president. But he has now broken his silence, writing an extraordinary broadside in which he denounces the president for dividing the nation, and accuses him of ordering the U.S. military to violate the constitutional rights of American citizens.
“I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled,” Mattis writes. “The words ‘Equal Justice Under Law’ are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.” He goes on, “We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution.”
you can tell just how desperate the left is getting by the outrageousness of the articles they're fabricating, and by how the usual suspects on the left are slinging them around.
great biden rally in Kenosha, eh?

LOL.
For example, it's already been corroborated by other journalists. The Associated Press' Jim LaPorta, whom Rachel spoke with on the show last night, confirmed The Atlantic article in its entirety. Likewise, the Washington Post reported overnight:
A former senior administration official, who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak candidly, confirmed to The Washington Post that the president frequently made disparaging comments about veterans and soldiers missing in action, referring to them at times as “losers.” In one account, the president told senior advisers that he didn’t understand why the U.S. government placed such value on finding soldiers missing in action because they had performed poorly and gotten caught and deserved what they got, according to a person familiar with the discussion.
We also know from Trump family members that the president threatened to disown one of his own sons if he enlisted in the military, and in a separate account, Trump included a provision in a prenuptial agreement that payments to one of his wives would cease if one of his daughters enlisted in the military.
Americans have also heard Trump disparage American servicemen and women who are captured during combat, while launching an ugly feud with a Gold Star family.
We've also seen the president insult Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman's service -- putting his military rank in scare quotes, as if Vindman hadn't earned it -- blame military leaders for failed missions he approved, and deride the former commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command for the speed with which he oversaw the 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
For example, it's already been corroborated by other journalists. The Associated Press' Jim LaPorta, whom Rachel spoke with on the show last night, confirmed The Atlantic article in its entirety. Likewise, the Washington Post reported overnight:

ah yes, the WaPo.
the very same rag that put out a story extorting votes for Slow Joe... or else violence.
nice touch. vote Slow Joe of we'll burn the whole fucking country down.
Part of the problem is the Republican's unfortunate past in this area, and the eagerness with which the president has suggested that he's something akin to a great American warrior. As a candidate, Trump liked to say he “felt” like he’d served in the military because his parents sent him to a military-themed boarding school as a teenager. He went so far as to boast that his expensive prep school gave him “more training militarily than a lot of the guys that go into the military.”
It's probably worth emphasizing that Trump, who pointed to "bone spurs" to dodge the draft, isn't required to respect military service. If he wants to disparage those who wear the uniform or denigrate their sacrifices, I find it bizarre, but that's his business. It's a free country -- so free that he can take cheap shots at war heroes if he wants to. In the United States, even a president can insult servicemembers, veterans, and their families.

In 2016, Army veteran David Weissman was an “unapologetic, red-hat wearing” Donald Trump supporter. The Palm Bay, Fla. resident would regularly join social media mobs attacking liberals, he later wrote, seeking to defend a candidate who he said rightfully prioritized the armed forces.
Four years later, Weissman — who served two tours in Afghanistan — has now sparked a Twitter campaign of former service members against President Trump, over reports that he derided fallen U.S. soldiers as “losers” and “suckers.”
“I recommend all veterans to use their Military pics as a profile pic,” Weissman wrote on Twitter on Thursday evening, “to let Trump know how many people he has offended."
Weissman’s online call to arms underscored the outpouring of anger that erupted from military veterans and their families overnight against Trump, following a bombshell article in the Atlantic that Trump and several top aides have vehemently denied.
In a video on the social platform, the retired Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, who has spoken out against Trump before, described how his father had been shot down while delivering air support to troops on the ground in Vietnam.
“I am stunned that anybody in the United States military would consider you anything but a loser or a sucker,” Eaton said, urging viewers to vote against Trump in November. “You’re no patriot.”

Since a lot of people are talking about @TheAtlantic tonight, recall that just a few weeks ago one of its writers, claiming to be an eye witness, fabricated a story about a uniformed cop shooting an unarmed black child and getting away with it.
In reality, there was a shooting, but the perpetrator wasn’t a cop, the victim wasn’t a child, and the shooter was charged. Not surprising that @JeffreyGoldberg approved the fabrication, though, since he also peddled the bogus Steele dossier.

Someone willing to go "on the record" versus those unnamed cowards in the Atlantic (if they even exist)
Sean Davis
@seanmdav
They’re not even trying to make their anonymous fake news believable anymore. Goldberg and his ilk are just mad that Trump has refused to create thousands of more dead soldiers by sending them off to fight ill-advised new wars all over the world.

The latest BS by AP - @ProjectLincoln – @DavidAFrench – Atlantic is an obvious and clumsy attempt to draw @realDonaldTrump and the rest of us away from pointing out the manifest senility of leftist puppet Joe Biden and the riot support by the Democrats.
Let them buy attention.
the left is throwing lies against the wall in a desperate attempt to make something stick.
Like the Russian collusion HOAX they ran for years.
despicable

From the Bolton book:
Rain cancelled the President's trip, it would be an unacceptable risk to send the President's motorcade instead, it was a straightforward decision to cancel the visit and Kelly made the call and Trump agreed to cancel it.
PROOF: https://twitter.com/Shem_Infinite/status/1301749777969934336
guess the left thinks Bolton was just trying to give Trump "cover"
Boom
😂Former Vice President Joe Biden used an unfortunate choice of words Thursday while visiting Kenosha, Wis. in the aftermath of the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Biden's speech aimed at addressing racial unrest veered into talking about inequities in taxes at one point. He stopped himself from laying out his tax policy in detail, saying if he goes on any longer "they'll shoot me."

Morning Joe now airing a “VoteVets” ad feat. parents of fallen servicemen saying “my son was not a loser.” Amazing how quickly they were able to produce a commercial corresponding w/ an article that just came out yesterday.

Remember all those times over the years lefties showed up for "spontaneous" protests. . .carrying professionally printed signs and placards?
Yeah, this was a coordinated hit.
All the MSM is now coordinated with the democrats. Everybody sees it.
This election is their last stand and they will do anything and everything.
It will probably get a lot uglier
Roger said unemployment rate was "20 %".
"The Labor Department's payroll report released Friday showed the jobless rate fell sharply to 8.4%, down from 10.2% .
This is why they are so desperate
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 1.37 million in August and the unemployment rate tumbled to 8.4% as the U.S. economy continued to climb its way out of the pandemic downturn.
This disinfo campaign is part of a larger psyop to suppress Trump's military support
precisely. and it dovetails nicely into that bullshit military times poll that just came out.
Of the 22M jobs lost from the shut down, 11M have already been recovered

i'd like to contribute my 2 cents. literally, 2 cents.
they should hang his corpse from a lamp post in front of city hall and let it rot in the sun as a warning to any of his 'comrades.'

On that Atlantic Story -
@JeffreyGoldberg
and his "four sources" claim Trump's helicopter flight to the US/French cemetery wasn't cancelled due to weather.
FOIA docs prove this to be false.
Their "sources" are failing basic fact checks - making them essentially worthless.

There is some John McCain stink on this story. So much so that I wouldn’t be surprised to find that his spiteful, Trump-hating widow was behind it somehow.
We won’t be rid of these blatantly biased, tabloid-esque hit pieces on Trump, of course. What’s fun from this end is seeing that so many in the mainstream media still don’t realize that they can’t write unsubstantiated garbage to attempt to destroy a politician they don’t like and get away with it like they used to. They’re all stuck in the early 21st century and don’t really get the nature of new media.
Let them keep it up. They think they’re being effective when all they are doing is proving the president right.

Official Confirms Trump Called Fallen Troops ‘Losers’
September 4, 2020 at 9:41 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
The Washington Post also confirms the stunning report from The Atlantic that President Trump referred to fallen U.S. troops as “losers” and “suckers.”
A former senior administration official said “that the president frequently made disparaging comments about veterans and soldiers missing in action, referring to them at times as ‘losers.'
“In one account, the president told senior advisers that he didn’t understand why the U.S. government placed such value on finding soldiers missing in action because they had performed poorly and gotten caught and deserved what they got.
First Read:
“When you read The Atlantic article, there’s one person who can help settle this he-said-vs.-he-said debate: former White House chief of staff John Kelly.”
Blake Hounshell:
“Have never seen the Trump White House mobilize to deny a story faster and more vigorously than this Atlantic article.”
Jordan Karem
@JordanKarem1
Again, this is 100% false. I was next to @POTUS the whole day! The President was greatly disappointed when told we couldn’t fly there. He was incredibly eager to honor our Fallen Heroes.
Another on the record source. Atlantic should withdraw it's "story" and apologize. Like it did a few weeks ago on the cop shooting.
Journalism is dead when it comes to the left and its lying minions. RIP after 2020 election
huh...
Despite a major surge in voting by mail, the USPS has more than enough aggregate capacity. Some 140 million ballots were cast (in person and by mail) in the 2016 election; if every one of those voters voted by mail this year, the mail they produce would amount to 5 percent of the 2.7 billion mail pieces USPS handles each week. Nowhere near that many votes will be mailed in, and they will be spread out over many weeks preceding the election. The head of the American Postal Workers Union, a spokesperson for the USPS, and a former chairman of the Postal Regulatory Commission all have stated the USPS has plenty of capacity for ballots.
In fact, it is widely recognized in the mailing industry that the Postal Service has too much paper-mail processing capacity. (Package process- ing capacity is another matter.) In 2019, there were 47 percent fewer first-class mail pieces than in 2000. Thus far this year, paper-mail volume has cratered even further, and revenues from periodicals and first-class and marketing mail are 7.5 percent lower than last year to date.
1
As early as 2002, the USPS realized it had excess capacity, according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and began planning to trim it. (And GAO agreed with the USPS’s assessment.) Mailing industry professionals who have considered the USPS’s more recently proposed sorting machine reductions have favored the action.
More broadly, the Postal Service must rationalize its network on an ongoing basis, both to control costs and seek out operational efficiencies. This is why, for example, the agency removed 14,000 of its iconic blue mail collection boxes between 2012 and 2017. They were underused and costly to service. This is also why USPS every year closes some post offices — more than 1,200 in the past 10 years.

well, at least the left is consistent. EVERYTHING they shriek about is a fucking lie.
9:30 refutes 9:32.
Atlantic should withdraw it's "story" and apologize.
never. the stakes are too high.
and they're just getting warmed up.
expect the volume and frequency of lies to increase exponentially.
You may as well tell us that Trump did NOT call McCain a loser because he got captured. If I'm not mistaken, we have him saying that on video.

“Had you told us, at the beginning of the week, that Joe Biden would travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin,
and that the coronavirus would remain a backburner issue on the campaign trail,
we would have concluded that this would have been a good week for President Trump.

you're an asshole and a liar pederast. go fuck yourself.
ANOTHER unnamed hit from the FAKE NEWS media.
While people go on the record against the bullshit story in the Atlantic and they have actual proof, like Bolton's book which was published previous to this and was no way something in support of Trump.
And the Trump hating Bezos Washington Post uses another unnamed source to confirm it. And is copied here by the lying POS "pastor" from his savior GODdard's political_lire.
a coordinated hit.
AND UTTER BULLSHIT, if it had ANY credibility it would have came out when it "happened".
TOTAL LIES and DESPERATION on the left.
DESPICABLE.

the atlantic article did not address the mccain story.
it's lies were about something completely different and separate. the only people who believe the atlantic are those like you who already hate Trump.
in other words, the entire article is one big fucking circle jerk. and assholes like you and the alky are the pivot men.
Trump denied that he ever called John McCain a loser. He is on video doing that and stating that he was only a war hero because he got captured and "I like people who didn't get captured."
He denied he said that. We know he did (see below). Let Trump keep denying that he also called the dead of WWI losers, and John Kelly or someone may step forward to state that they were there and PERSONALLY heard him say it.
"Loser"
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/video-donald-trump-john-mccain-loser-a4540421.html
here's an idea.
regarding this atlantic story and all the other stories corroborated by only anonymous sources, let's borrow a line from the antifa/blm playbook.
SAY THEIR NAMES.

needing a distraction pederast???
LOL.
you piece of shit.
hop a plane to california. ass-raping small children is about to become legal and fair game out there. you'll be in heaven.
Here's an idea.
When Trump says he never called McCain a loser,
LOOK AT THE VIDEO.
Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day.
In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said,
“Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”
In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.
Trump, accused of calling McCain a loser, claims it's a lie that he said that.
WE KNOW HE DID.
see video.
Trump, accused of calling WWI dead "losers"
and "suckers," claims that he never said that...
see above.
(Rat says one has nothing to do with the other, LOL.)
Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, died in Lacey, Wash., outside Seattle, during an operation by a federal fugitive task force,
It was a mostly peaceful arrest
Roger said unemployment rate was "20 %".
"The Labor Department's payroll report released Friday showed the jobless rate fell sharply to 8.4%, down from 10.2% .
The simple fact is that A WHOLE LOT of veterans forever dropped Trump like a blazingly hot potato when he called McCain a loser and said he only liked people who were war heroes because they DID NOT get captured..
I guess all those blacks who let themselves get shot in their backs or in their beds at night were just losers and so their black lives don't matter.
It was a mostly peaceful arrest
While you are mostly just an asshole!!!!!!!!
FANTASTIC NEWS !!!
as is todays polling results, and I know Trump will significantly overachieve his polling numbers like he did in 2016...
