Democrats already going all out in attempt to shut out the GOP

EDITORIAL: Pelosi and Democrats move to rig the House rules
Democrats eliminated a long-standing rule that allows the minority party to alter legislation on the floor before a vote. Speaker Pelosi and her caucus feared that continuing a practice known as a “motion to recommit” would allow the GOP to force Democrats to cast votes on controversial issues that may hurt them politically in the next election. This fear is even more acute for many moderate members given the rise of the party’s radical progressive wing.
Notably, Republicans never made a similar move when they held the majority. “This is a right that has been guaranteed to the minority for well over a century,” said Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla. “With today’s changes, the majority is seeking to silence views they are afraid of.”
Next up, Democrats essentially scuttled a requirement that legislation which increases the deficit be offset with cuts elsewhere. With deficits soaring regardless of which party controls what, the mandate was clearly ineffective. Yet the symbolism here is obvious and will allow Democrats to offer budget-busting legislation on a wide array of dangerous progressive priorities without concern for the long-term fiscal ramifications.

We've all heard Democrats in the Senate talking about removing the filibuster, so they would be allowed to pass massive overhauls of our government with 50 Senate votes. But it appears that a little more quietly behind the scenes, we have Nancy Pelosi and the Senate House members doing something similar.

As pointed out in this article, the deficit continues to grow (and will do so until we finally have the courage to tackle entitlement reform) and there is absolutely zero reason to change the requirement that new spending by offset by cuts elsewhere. Ironically it is this sort of move that Pelosi and the Democrats will make, that they will still try to turn and somehow blame on Republicans when the spending gets out of hand.

Funny how it's always only THE PARTY OUT OF POWER that suddenly starts shouting about deficits, deficits, deficits.

As long as the Trumpists held the reigns, no Trump induced deficit could be too much or too costly.

Pence Braces for Trump’s Fury
10:59 am
CNN:
“He has told President Donald Trump, the boss he’s served obsequiously for four years, that he cannot submit to demands he overthrow the results of the election.

“Trump, consumed with conspiracies and unsound legal advice, hasn’t listened. He now appears ready to unleash his rage on a man who has thus far successfully avoided that fate.

“It’s an excruciating position for Trump’s loyal lieutenant, who has his own political ambitions that, for now, appear to run opposite to his constitutional responsibilities. Even advisers closely aligned with Trump describe the coming assault against Pence as despicable.”
_________

Despicable Donald.
That has an appropriate ring.
