There is no media bias...

It would appear that Wikileaks has confirmed what most reasonable people have seen all along. Most of your media is in the bag for Democrats and specifically in the bag for Hillary Clinton in this year's Presidential election.

Let's start with the fact that the NBC Bush/Trump tape had been in their position since it was created (2005). Yet, they found no need to release it then. They found no need to release it in 2010. They found no need to release it when Trump announced his Candidacy. They found no need to release it during the entire primary season.

The media is
completely fair!
But it would just so happen (by pure coincidence) that the tape was leaked to other news sources (to get past possible legal issues) less than a month before the election, when it was bound to cause the most political peril for Donald Trump. Couple that with the 24 by 7 coverage of a bunch of unsubstantiated claims from women basically repeating what was said on the tape and you sort of get the picture. Women, who also didn't bother to make any of these allegations public (in some cases waiting for thirty years) until it was politically convenient to do so. To be clear, back in the nineties many Americans never heard much about Paula Jones, and she was given an $850K settlement from the Clintons for sexual harassment in the workplace. Many Americans believe that the impeachment was about a blow job, because that's what the Clintons said (so that is what the media reported).

Meanwhile, there are very real substantial information being released by Wikileaks showing collusion between the media and the Clinton camp (Including some media outlets allowing the Clinton campaign to actually edit their stories), attempted collusion by the State department and the FBI, as well as proof that the President himself was lying about his knowledge of the Server and his own involvement with possible classified information being sent through that server. The President is now attempting to use "executive privilege" to prevent these emails from being released.

The more these emails are leaked, the more absurd it is becoming that Comey did not recommend any sort of charges against Clinton. From the unprecedented immunity agreements, to the FBI actually destroying evidence, to the FBI not convening a grand jury, offering no subpoenas, no search warrants... it becomes clear that this was only a serious investigation at the rank and file (many whom are close to rebelling). The powers to be were always going to squelch any possible indictments.

On top of that, these emails suggest that Clinton has contempt for Catholics, that they had plans to attack Bernie Sanders on his religion, and illegal coordination between The Clinton campaign and Superpacs... just to name a few of the many revelations (that are doing unnoticed).

Is any of this information being covered by your mainstream media?  Hardly. Not unless you consider CNN airing a segment where their broadcaster told Americans that it was actually "illegal" for them to search Wikileaks? Yeah... when it isn't enough for them to "not" cover the story, they try to scare Americans into not looking into it themselves.

All that being said, there are still many people no the left who simply refuse to see any media bias. Certain people assured me of this just over the past week or so. They believe things are exactly as they should be, and that everyone is being treated fairly. There is a word for these people... and P.T. Barnum told us one was born every minute.

I haven't read all of what you wrote, Ch, but I can already say this:

It's interesting that in spite of all the media bias you allege, Trump managed to scare our side by twice getting to a 48% chance of winning against Clinton on Nate Silver's "now-cast" predictions.

He is now at a 10.2% chance of winning.

The debates and the gross out tape had nothing to do with that, however. It was all media bias.

Also, see what I just put on Roger's "The Election is Not Rigged" thread.

And now wd learn that violence at Trump rallies and that highway shutdown in Arizona have all been tied back to the Clinton campaign and the dnc. No matter. The news media will continue to focus on smearing trump 24/7.

Yes this election is rigged. Past elections were too. Only now we have proof.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

CH, if this is in response to my post on the bogus claims from Trump, you obviously failed to read my post. Trump is claiming that the election is rigged. I'm not claiming that there is no biased coverage of the election, that's another topic.

The claim that the election is rigged, has been denounced by even Mike Pence, Christie, Gingrich, and even Giuliani, kind of in his case.

We have held elections for President since 1789. This is the first time that the candidate from a major party has said that he will not accept the results are in his favor.

Read the goddamn post.

Roger - I don't read your posts (much less the comment threads, James). So this is not in response to anything you wrote on the legacy blog.

You did, however, argue with me on-line that there was no media bias and that Trump is being treated fairly (in your view) by the media. You happen to be one of those who refuses to see the obvious.

Now if you have anything constructive to offer in response to my post... feel free. But my best guess is that you don't. Facts are hard to argue with (although lord knows some of you try).

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

As to bias, Trump received far more coverage in the primaries than anyone else.

Since the campaign started, the coverage is not a conspiracy. His unusual, and in many ways, outrageous comments get attention.

The claim that the release of his sexual assault were intentionally is politics, the claim is the timing is intentional, is a tactical to try and discredit the testimony of the victims of abuse. If it was testimony in a trial, it would be allowed. Of course those who were sexually abused, were motivated by the candidate. The timing is not manipulated. He's whining because he's losing.

You gullible because he's a Republican.

C.H. Truth said...

If it was testimony in a trial, it would be allowed.

Then why hasn't he been charged or sued in court?

If someone had "any" sort of evidence of such harassment, one would think that a multi-billionaire celebrity would be easy pickings for a lawsuit.

The timing is not manipulated.

Really? Can you see another practical reason why a Tape that has been in existence since 2005 was released within a month of an election... if not for purposes of timing?

This may be "new news" for many... but it wasn't for the people at NBC who had it. They chose "not" to released it up until now. Why now Roger?

My understanding is that nobody knew about the 2005 recording until Billy Bush started bragging about it at the Olympics. Once the Access Hollywood folks learned about that they went through their archival footage and found it. Not sure how long after the Olympics that occurred.

Hillary Emails lays out how happy she is that Obamacare failed, why, because she can not give the left the next step, Government Paid Health Care.

It will work for the poor as well as this, I am sure.

SS Failing
"Millions of Social Security recipients and federal retirees will get a 0.3 percent increase in monthly benefits next year, the fifth year in a row that older Americans will have to settle for historically low raises."

"There was no increase this year" that would be for 2016
Next year is not much better:

"Millicent Graves, a retired veterinary technician, says Medicare and supplemental insurance premiums eat up nearly a third of her $929 monthly Social Security payment. And don't tell the 72-year-old from Williamsburg, Virginia, that consumer prices aren't going up. She says her insurance premiums went up by $46.50 this year, and her cable TV, internet and phone bill went up, too.

"I just lose and lose and lose and lose," Graves said.

We told you it was failing and it has.

Now what, Raise Payroll taxes on middle and lower income earners, that is the Hillary Plan. Less money in the pockets of All.

Congrats on your win and the defeat of America.

KD, Liberals are Brain Dead dumb sucks said...

Of course the media is in bed with the Clinton's that is settled debate.

Next , is Trump right on the Rigging of the Election, of course only a complete dumbass would think other wise.

I know that HB and Jane hang on and trust every word George Will says/writes. SO I looked up Mr. Will's take (remember he is a never trumper):

“[W]hen Mr. Trump talks about it being rigged, he sweeps all his grievances into one big puddle,” Will said. “He talks about the media. He talked about the primaries. He talked about the polls, talked about the Republican National Committee. I think when most Americans hear that an election is rigged, they think of government action to rig the election. And there Mr. Trump has a point if he would make it more clearly. It is hard to think of an innocent reason why Democrats spend so much time, energy, and money, scarce resources, resisting attempts to purge the voter rolls, that is to remove people who are dead or have otherwise left the jurisdiction. It’s hard to think of an innocent reason why they fight so tremendously against voter I.D. laws. They say, well, that burdens the, exercise of a fundamental right. The Supreme Court said that travel is a fundamental right. No one thinks that showing an I.D. at the airport burdens that fundamental right.”

“We know — we don’t surmise,” he continued. “We know that the 2010, ’12, and ’14 elections were rigged by the most intrusive and potentially punitive institution of the federal government, the IRS,” he continued. “You can read all about it in Kim Strassel’s book ‘The Intimidation Game.’ She’s familiar to all Wall Street Journal readers and Fox viewers. So this is not a surmise. And I have talked to lawyers in a position to know, they say it’s still going on — that the IRS is still intolerably delaying the granting of tax exempt status to conservative advocacy groups to skew the persuasion of this campaign.”

CHT sorry for the long text.

So Indy -

You believe that Billy Bush sabotaged his own career and a $3 million dollar contract with NBC and Access Hollywood? I have my doubts.

Moreover, the Olympics were in August... even if that were the case, how many interviews with Donald Trump and Billy Bush could there have been to take several weeks to uncover the audio?

Six colleagues and close friends who corroborate former PEOPLE writer Natasha Stoynoff’s account of being attacked by Donald Trump in 2005 are now coming forward. Among them is a friend who was with Stoynoff when she ran into Melania Trump later in N.Y.C.

The wife of the Republican nominee denies meeting Stoynoff after the attack, but Stoynoff’s friend Liza Herz remembers being there during the chance meeting.

“They chatted in a friendly way,” Herz, who met Stoynoff in college, says. “And what struck me most was that Melania was carrying a child and wearing heels.”

Stoynoff’s story, which made national news when it broke last week and is reprinted in this week’s issue of PEOPLE, describes a run-in with Trump when she was covering him and pregnant wife Melania on assignment for PEOPLE in December 2005.

“We walked into that room alone, and Trump shut the door behind us. I turned around, and within seconds he was pushing me against the wall and forcing his tongue down my throat,” she writes.

Trump vigorously denies the story and later attacked Stoynoff on the campaign trail, saying, “She lies! Look at her, I don’t think so.”

Stoynoff describes meeting Melania later year: “I actually bumped into Melania on Fifth Avenue, in front of Trump Tower as she walked into the building, carrying baby Barron. ‘Natasha, why don’t we see you anymore?’ she asked, giving me a hug.”

It's a conspiracy!!!!!!

Hearsay. All the "corroboration" is basically her friends repeating her accusations.

There's a reason it isn't allowed in a court of law.

Again, all you have is the tired argument that the media is all in for clinton. Well, CH, if your asshole candidate kept his twitter mouth shut and stop saying stupid things, they would be able to cover other things. But saying the election is rigged, voter fraud where there has been 31 counts of fraud in over a billion votes. IOW, it is not even in the noise level. Grow up and stop defending trump, he's a loser like all you righties.

if what took place happened while they were alone together in a room?

You understand that being alone (as she claims) flies in the face of her assertion that there were witnesses.

Not to mention, it appears that the contention is that she met with both Husband and Wife, begging the question as to how the two of them would have gotten alone in the first place.

Well Drudge thought enough of the story to post it with a screaming headline.

People also revealed Tuesday that six witnesses, who are colleagues and close friends of Stoynoff's, have come forward to corroborate her account in various ways, from saying she told them about the alleged incident soon after she says it happened to rebutting a part of Stoynoff's article with which Melania Trump specifically took issue.

Melania Trump, who last week through a lawyer called on People to retract a portion of Stoynoff's story that says she ran into Melania in New York City not long after the alleged assault, attacked the story in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper Monday night.

"Even the story that came out in People magazine, the writer she said my husband took her to the room and start kissing her," she said. "She wrote in the same story about me -- that she saw me on 5th Avenue, and I said to her, 'Natasha, how come we don't see you anymore?' I was never friends with her, I would not recognize her."

But Lisa Herz, a friend of Stoynoff's quoted by People, says she was there when Stoynoff and Melania Trump saw each other.

"They chatted in a friendly way," Herz told People. "And what struck me most was that Melania was carrying a child and wearing heels."
