According to multiple sources, the GOP has full support in the Senate, which is enough to pass the bill even if McCain and Cochran are unable to make the vote.
This would appear to be the first major legislative victory for the GOP since Trump was elected. We'll see if it leads to more to come.

How many more times will the none house broke HB post about what is in this bill that is not. He is up to 9 so far. I know of no one on this blog or in real life that knows so little about Macro and Micro Economics then the self proclaimed high IQ HB.
Winning bigly.
"Winning bigly."
As Roger is reduced to trolling while inebriated.
😀
Three big wins for my family
1. Rate drops to 22 % from 28 % and top income at the lower rate increases
2. Pass thru rate goes from 28% to 20 % for our sole proprietorship.
3, instant deduction on purchased Equipment
Why is it prez obama in 8 years never did this for middle income families and small businesses?
HB Agreed to stop name calling, his immediately violated his agreement. No self control. Seems he likes looking at the "tight ass" woman at his gym.

Although cnbc reported that the fifo proposal was removed, kd is right in questioning Roger's dopey logic that anyone cannot buy by and hold regardless of fifo

Think of this. In 2018 we will have 11 months of Bigly paychecks. Those working will be keeping more. Those of us like myself that have a defined benefit for my life will receive more money monthly.
Think that will be benificial to those in political power that made that actually happen?
Worst Piece of Legislation In Modern History
Fareed Zakaria: “If the Republican tax plan passes Congress, it will mark a watershed for the United States. The medium- and long-term effects of the plan will be a massive drop in public investment, which will come on the heels of decades of declining spending (as a percentage of gross domestic product) on infrastructure, scientific research, skills training and core government agencies. The United States can’t coast on past investments forever, and with this legislation, we are ushering in a bleak future.
“There are genuine problems beyond underfunding. The costs of building American infrastructure are astronomical. But during the Depression, World War II and much of the Cold War, a sense of crisis and competition focused America’s attention and created a bipartisan urgency to get things done. Ironically, at a time when competition is far more fierce, when other countries have surpassed the United States in many of these areas, America has fallen into extreme partisanship and embraced a know-nothing libertarianism that is starving the country of the essential investments it needs for growth. Those who vote for this tax bill — possibly the worst piece of major legislation in a generation — will live in infamy, as the country slowly breaks down.”
Last Minute Tax Provision Benefits Trump
“Republican congressional leaders and real estate moguls could be personally enriched by a real-estate-related provision GOP lawmakers slipped into the final tax bill released Friday evening,” according to the International Business Times.
”The legislative language was not part of previous versions of the bill and was added despite ongoing conflict-of-interest questions about the intertwining real estate interests and governmental responsibilities of President Donald Trump — the bill’s chief proponent.”

Rubio Says GOP Will Move Next on Social Security
“Advocates for seniors and the middle class have been warning for weeks that the Republican drive to cut taxes for the wealthy is the prelude to a larger attack on Social Security and Medicare,” the Los Angeles Times reports.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) admitted as much in an interview with Politico: “We have to do two things. We have to generate economic growth which generates revenue, while reducing spending. That will mean instituting structural changes to Social Security and Medicare for the future.
“The only thing that’s new here is the explicit admission by a Republican officeholder that this is the GOP’s master plan to eviscerate the welfare and retirement of American workers. Budget analysts have seen it coming with all the subtlety of a freight train.”
Trump Deported Fewer Than Obama In First Year
“Despite President Trump’s tough-on-immigration rhetoric, there have been fewer deportations in his first year as president than there were in any year of Barack Obama’s presidency,” Axios reports.
“There were 177,000 fewer deportations this year than in 2009, Obama’s first year in office.”
I love the smell of liberal panic in the morning. Smells like victory.
When a liberal screams about the reduction of "public investment" you know we're on the right track.
"Smells like victory."

The state is now censoring the CDC.....and our sycophants dribble down their legs....
Trump administration officials are forbidding officials at the nation's top public health agency from using a list of seven words or phrases - including "fetus" and "transgender" - in any official documents being prepared for next year's budget.
Policy analysts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta were told of the list of forbidden words at a meeting Thursday with senior CDC officials who oversee the budget, according to an analyst who took part in the 90-minute briefing. The forbidden words are: "vulnerable," "entitlement," "diversity," "transgender," "fetus," "evidence-based" and "science-based."
A fake statement from a fake Commonsense which, however, is true.
If I, fake Commonsense, had any decency, I would admit that I am totally unconvinced that pastor James Boswell has ever committed a single act of child abuse, though I constantly lie by accusing him of that, thus bearing false witness. If I really believed for a single second that he was guilty of any such act, I would go before my church and get them to join me in legal action against him. The only reason I do not do that is because I know they would laugh at me, as would pastor Boswell's church and his regional elders and leaders.
4:36 This will run up against freedom of speech problems.
The real Commonsense would have said:
Thou doth protest too much!!!!
Add to 4:37:
also, I would soon be in deep legal and financial troubles.

The suppression of our values continues at the EPA as the state demands records of employees who showed bias against trump. Gee what will be next? A putch???? Resistance figures means what? Another form of censorship approved at the highest levels!!!!
A vice president for the firm, Allan Blutstein, federal records show, has submitted at least 40 Freedom of Information Act requests to the E.P.A. since President Trump was sworn in. Many of those requests target employees known to be questioning management at the E.P.A. since Scott Pruitt, the agency’s administrator, was confirmed.
Mr. Blutstein, in an interview, said he was taking aim at “resistance” figures in the federal government, adding that he hoped to discover whether they had done anything that might embarrass them or hurt their cause.

This President is delivering on promise aftr promise. This Tax Cut is the latest example.
This President is delivering on promise after promise
Including supporting pedophiles for his party while his tyrannical ways continue......ESAD goat forker....LOL
Trump promised tax reform that would deliver prominently to average working families. He promised 35% reduction, and called it the "Middle Class Tax Relief and Simplification Act" on the campaign trail.
This tax bill shows little resemblance to Trump's promises.
"The largest tax reductions are for the middle class, who have been forgotten," as Trump's promise in Gettysburg. He has failed miserably in this promise.
WP, can you show us the rate cuts for middle income and sole proprietorships under Pres invisible pen?
Wp,chicago tribune cite
I would love to see wp's evidence in support of his assertion. I'm seeing 28% cut to 22%, 2X exemptions. Middle class don't hit the max limits.
I remember the campaign speech where Trump said that the tax reform bill would not get a tax cut. And that the middle class would get a great break and the top 1% wouldn't have a massive cut.
Like wp shredded the esteemed host this is not surprising. His lies and multiple business failures don't bother you people. The lies are of epic proportions.
Huh?
Everybody but liberal politicians win with this tax reform package.
HB , when did you make your First Billion?

No, Virginia, It’s Not Tax Reform
New York Times: “The Republican tax bill does not pass the postcard test. It leaves nearly every large tax break in place. It creates as many new preferences for special interests as it gets rid of. It will keep corporate accountants busy for years to come. And no taxpayer will ever see the postcard-size tax return that President Trump laid a kiss on in November as Republican leaders launched their tax overhaul effort. This was not the grand simplification of the code that Republicans promised when they set out to eliminate tax breaks and cut the number of tax brackets as they lowered rates.
“As their bill tore through Congress, their ambitions fell to the powerful forces of lobbying and the status quo. Killed tax breaks returned to life. New ones sprung up beside them. A plan for three individual tax brackets became five, and finally eight. … What emerged on Friday, in the final product agreed to by Republican members of a House-Senate conference committee, was a bill that layers new tax complexities upon businesses large and small, and which delivers a larger share of benefits to corporations and the rich than to the middle class.”
I guess wp skipped right over my post earlier.
Voters Increasingly Favor Democrats for Congress
A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds Democrats leading Republicans in the generic congressional ballot by 11-points, 50% to 39%.
NBC News: ” The last time Democrats both held a double-digit lead and hit 50 percent on this question in the NBC/WSJ poll was September 2008, right before the party won the White House and picked up a substantial number of House and Senate seats.”
That and 25 cents will buy you a cup of coffee. Except at starbucks.
Well there is one group of Americans who will be paying more taxes.
Those Americans who were unemployed because of the stagnant Obama economy who will now be employed in good jobs in the economy jump started by tax reform.
I think they will happely take that trade.
Rev. James Boswell of Normal, Illinois is a pedophile.
Don't let him around children.
Maybe wp didn't see that the previously eliminated deductions were put back in - SALT, med expenses, student loans.
The package being voted on this week is better than the first versions. But wp isn't interested in even reviewing it. He seems to have a bad case of TDS.
WP, with Jane, oPie and HB, are terminally ill.
And every last one of them will take every tax break President has packaged up and gifted them.
SALT Capped at $10,000, your bitch is not with this President. You have to get YOUR taxes in Your state under control.
MEDICAL. The qualifying g amount is Less, the what it took under prez invisible ink pen.
Student Loan interest deduction same.
I know that SALT was put back in, up to $10,000 anyway, but it does not change the fact that the middle class tax reduction, if any, will be a pittance compared to the corporate and top end benefits. That is 180 degree U-turn from Trump's promises.
Lie
About 2% according to the most optimistic calculations, and I'll believe that when I see it. But down the road that temporary reduction expires, while the real tax cuts for the wealthy and the vast corporate deduction do not, and I'll be seeing a huge increase to make up for the revenue shortfall.
A tiny reduction now, at best, in exchange for a big increase later. You'd have to be stupid to celebrate that deal.
That is 180 degree U-turn from Trump's promises.
Doing wha trump does best.....double talk and lies......I am sure sycophants like kd embrace the the tax mix, but the reality is he will probably be getting the shaft like the rest of us. But, he blames the states for providing what the people want....That's why kansas schools suck and don't have the money to educate their spawn, but he's happy!!!! Brownbeck is doing a wonderful job of making kansas the alabama of the mid west.....LOLOL

He is and will WP! He is a self serving legacy land owner without a clue....just ho trump likes his base!! LOLOL
Trump promised both middle class and corporate. It delivers both.
It delivers both.
Especially if you consider corporations as people and 1% er's as middle class....Keep drinking ballz, you are going to need it when you wake up....LOL
Middle class - 28% to 22% with 24k standard deduction.
That is middle class. Not 1%. Drink that koolaid dumbass.
Ballz...keep believing what you want as I give you a hearty chuckle on how much you will be screwed like the rest of you sycophants. Tell me, who is going to make up the trillions of new deficits? Idiot...
I'm the one posting data. Not you.
And you worrying about deficits now, after 8 years of obama is too rich.
The simple fact are these Bill the Rapist and prez invisible ink both promised tax cuts, neither delivered.
However, President Trump is delivering.
Mr. WP, Will you refused all tax deductions?
There is no requirement to deduct your state and local taxes from your Federal Return.
You do not have to claim a personal deduction our one for your wife, or any other dependents.
Do the EZ form so you pay the most you can.
Myballs, under prEZ invisible ink, Trump can add $ 1.25 Trillion a year to the National debt and just to tie the debt added bar.
The tax cuts can speed up the economy. The deficit will lead to downward pressure. The recent history showed that the big deficit 1,000,000,000 at least, after a tax cut lead to the Great Recession. So we shall see.It better go over well, or the Republicans will lose the congress by a greater margin they will lose already.
#impeachmment.
"impeachmment"
Nonsense.
Got nothing HB.
"The recent history showed that the big deficit 1,000,000,000 at least, after a tax cut lead to the Great Recession."
LOL. Complete nonsense.
Someone thinks that the fix for Trump's failure to lower my taxes like he promised, is for me to voluntarily pay more.
At least that explains why some still support him. Since nothing actually needs to make sense in their world.
what are you trolling about now, wp?
a tax proposal the details of which haven't even been released yet?
have a good time with that.
at least you have the alky and d0pie for moral support.
Lol. The four Liberal Stooges of CHT.
It is a long held belief of leftist that hard working Americans can always afford a little more to be taken from thier paychecks.
But any kind of tax reduction "starves" government.
it's official. liberals have completely lost their minds:
There’s a reason the tax bill is so unpopular. It’s a terrible idea – arguably, if approved, the worst law to be enacted on Capitol Hill since the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, which allowed the return of captured escaped slaves up North to their whip-cracking masters down South. I’d argue that it’s worse, for example, than the Gulf of Tonkin resolution that escalated the Vietnam War in 1964 – because at least then senators honestly trusted a White House that was bamboozling them about the underlying facts. Here, House and Senate Republicans know exactly what they’re doing.
http://www.philly.com/philly/columnists/will_bunch/how-the-gop-produced-the-worst-bill-since-the-fugitive-slave-act-of-1850-20171217.html
It is so bad a bill that the left will take every single deduction themselves
fist that hard working Americans can always afford a little more to be taken from thier paychecks.
I love the way you assholes speak for others with such certainty. Everyone should pay their fair share, especially for leeches like you who have never worked for anything, but were given to you by others. Sad, but so republicon that it makes me sick. Saw some new poll numbers showing how millennials have deserted the R party in droves...That is a sign your party is deader than your white ass. LOLOLOL
"Fair share" liberal mind washed troll
Still waiting on anyone of the FLS of CHT to show us the promised tax cuts by Obama?
How "trolling" of me to refer to actual promises and raising the fact that Trump failed to fulfill them. In THIS forum now, facts are "trolling".
"The largest tax reductions are for the middle class [applause] - who have been forgotten. Called the forgotten man and woman. They have been forgotten. The middle class with family of two children will get basically, approximately, a thirty-five percent tax cut. And that's what they can use - and that money will go back into the economy"
This tax bill is 180° opposite of this. A tiny reduction for the middle class (if they're lucky) which is reversed in a few years to pay the deficit caused by the huge tax break for the wealthy and corporations. Another failed promise.
facts, wp? you have no facts, only conjecture and a pretty bad case of TDS.
the legislation hasn't even been passed yet and you're already whining about getting screwed.
good grief, grow up.
See how much you would save with the new tax reform bill
