Kim Jong Un's Sister

Not exactly sure "why" anyone cares about Kim Jong Un's sister (who apparently has no name of her own), but from all accouns she is "stealing the Olympic spotlight" and is somehow a big deal.

And here I thought it was the South Korean figure skater who nearly lost her top while skating who "stole the show".  I must confess, I have not watched much Olympics this year. Perhaps because we cannot even enjoy the Olympics without the athletes providing us with their political views. Or perhaps it's because it competes with rerereruns of Impractical Jokers on TruTV.

How credible is the news media when they turn out to be the propaganda ministry for the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea.

I mean the sycophantic praise the gave Kim Jong Un's sister was positively nausainting." CS

kim's sis gave pense a side glance dirty look and nbc captured it. at that point 95% of the media ejaculated all over themselves with fawning adoration and glee.

Seriously I think the intention is because she has been secretive and little is known of her, yet there have been inferences that she has far more influence in the regime than is publicly acknowledged. As for why coverage would be sympathetic or admiring I have no idea - my gut feeling, and many others', is that she's a bigger snake than Kim Yong Un is.

Pence is saying that there may be a "no preconditions" meeting with Kim Jong Un.

This could be a historical breakthrough, as a result of Olympics.

"Attention" not "intention", it makes a difference in what I'm trying to say here. No idea what the media's "intention" is with all that. Playing to a soap opera style story-line perhaps, a ray of hope in the dark regime?

Trump has said that before and then backed off. "No preconditions" that is. I take it as just a bargaining chip whose main purpose is buying political time, to give the appearance that the US is "doing something".

WP, about your Grammer and wording, we get your point, why so defensive?

Jane is not here.

I wanted to clarify because the wrong word completely changed the intended meaning. It's an ego thing, the illusion that anyone cares, not defensive.

Care? Why would anyone care the news media gives fawning coverage the the North Korean propaganda minister and head of the torture prisons?

It just confirms what we knew about them all along.
