Apparently certain GOP members are thinking of voting "present" in order to lower the threshold for Pelosi to win, or even vote in her favor if must be (gasp). After all, she may be a political asset for the Republicans.

I understand why the younger generation in the house wants a new leader.
I would support a new speaker. Pelosi is the target for the President and Republicans. The new leader will have to get health care reform implemented, including pre existing conditions. And expansion of Medicare and Medicaid. The majority of all Americans support this idea.
They can also get a bill for infrastructure that the President had already supported but he hasn't done shit yet. If they get a bill and send it to the Senate, McConnell might do the same shit again and not let it come to a vote. Unless Trump jumps in to support the bill. But he's not going to change anything and will block it.

The costs of insurance companies will be reduced or even eliminated by a single payer health plan.
Specific taxes targeted to health care, not as part of the federal budget so no politician can use the money for his or her political agenda.
The costs of medications can be interesting but addressed by generic drugs and perhaps reduce the time where the drugs can be sold as generic drugs.
