Eventually Flynn comes back with his attorneys and they agree to delay sentencing while they continue to "cooperate" with Special Counsel. It's clear from all reports that Flynn wanted this over today, and that the Judge seemed oddly eager to hold off and not sentence today. Why Sullivan wanted this delay appears to be somewhat of a mystery.

Judge Sullivan then seemed to take issue with the fact that Flynn was an "unregistered foreign agent for another country" (Turkey) and wonders if he could have been charged with Treason for being both an unregistered foreign agent and National Security Advisor at the same time. Seems like an odd segway into something one might think was immaterial to the hearing, but oddly relevant non-the-less.
Because somehow you get the impression that the unregistered foreign agent angle is exactly why Flynn is standing by his plea. Two of his associates have been charged already. This was an obvious shot across the bow, if there ever was one.
Lastly, Sullivan later apologizes for bringing up the unregistered foreign agent angle, and said he really didn't want to suggest he was accusing Flynn of "treason" and stating that he "felt terrible about that".

UPDATE: Apparently the Washington Post led their headlines today with the story regarding associates of Flynn pleading guilty to being unregistered foreign agents (regarding Turkey). There is little reason to believe that this was a coincidence (that it was done on the day Flynn was being sentenced) or that it was a coincidence that the Judge brought it up.
Judge Sullivan later walked back his statements about Flynn "selling his country out" and possibly committing "treason" after realizing that he did not have the correct dates as to when Flynn lobbied on behalf of the Turkish Government. Flynn, in fact, was never both an agent for Turkey and National Security Advisor. It seems more than strange that Sullivan would have that mixed up. He did express regret and stated that he "felt terrible" about that exchange.
But it's clear that this weighed on the Judge (and not necessarily rightfully so). His job was to sentence Flynn (who wanted to be sentenced) within the guidelines of the sentencing. When both sides are looking for the same thing (a guilty plea with no jail time); it seems more than a bit odd that a Judge would push simultaneously for the accused to change his plea while also suggesting that he might possibly rule in favor of jail time.

The new controversy arose after a Senate Republican press aide, Candice Giove, tweeted critically about Parker on Tuesday morning.

With Senate Democrats set to assume the majority next year, Parker's temper could be a headache.
His episodes of bad behavior seemed to escalate when the Senate Democrats last held the majority in 2009-2010. In May 2009, Parker was charged with attacking a New York Post photographer and was eventually stripped of a leadership position. He was convicted on a misdemeanor charge.
Also in 2009, Parker memorably called then-Gov. David Paterson a "coke-snorting, staff-banging governor" during the Senate coup crisis, not long after the executive suspended paychecks for senators during the multi-week impasse.
Parker's temper has caused him other problems, including a 2005 incident when he punched a traffic agent after being given a ticket (the charges were dropped when he agreed to take an anger management class), and a profane 2010 dispute with Democratic state Sen. Diane Savino during a closed-door conference meeting.
While those kinds of antics have dropped off in recent years, Parker raised eyebrows earlier this month at a state Business Council session, where he advised that in lobbying the ethnically diverse new Democratic majority, interest groups shouldn't "show up to a meeting with four white guys."

Ludington-based FloraCraft surprised its employees during a holiday lunch on Friday, Dec. 14, when owner and Chairman Lee Schoenherr announced plans to give nearly $4 million in bonuses.
Top gifts to employees with more than 40 years of tenure will exceed $60,000, the company. The gifts are a combination of cash bonuses and 401(k) contributions.

The total includes payouts to white-collar employees, Machinists on the factory floor and managers, but not executives.
Boeing’s nearly 66,000 current employees in the state will be eligible for the bonuses. More than 6,000 more who worked at least part of last year before leaving the company will get a partial bonus, prorated according to how long they worked last year."

Saying he was not “hiding my disgust, my disdain” for Flynn’s crime, U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan ripped into the retired three-star Army general in a blistering rebuke from the bench before issuing his sentence.
Noting that Flynn was an unregistered agent of a foreign country — Turkey — while in the White House, the judge angrily pointed to the furled U.S. flag in his courtroom. “Arguably, that undermines everything this flag over here stands for. Arguably, you sold your country out!” Sullivan said. “All along you were an unregistered agent of a foreign country, while serving as the national security advisor to the president of the United States!”
Pressed by the judge, Flynn’s lawyer, Robert Kelner, said, “No, your honor,” when asked if the FBI had engaged in any misconduct or had violated Flynn’s rights when they interviewed him. Kelner added that Flynn stood by his guilty plea.

Flynn, standing straight and flanked by attorneys on either side, looked shaken, his jaw clenched. Sullivan declared a recess to let Flynn consider whether he wanted to proceed and let the judge impose a punishment, or to delay and cooperate more with the special counsel in hopes of leniency.
Flynn decided to delay his sentencing. Needless to say, this should put an end to all the nonsense from the Trump gang that Flynn had been fooled by the FBI and had no idea that it was illegal to lie to them:

Flynn pleaded guilty in Mueller’s probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election more than a year ago, admitting that he lied to the FBI about conversations with Russia’s ambassador to the United States and that he misrepresented in Justice Department documents his work to advance the interests of the Turkish government. He has since been assisting with at least three investigations — including Mueller’s — and his attorneys and the special counsel argued he should get no prison time for his offense based on his cooperation.
That now is far from a certainty.
Sullivan opened the hearing Tuesday by taking aim at the suggestion in a pre-sentence filing by Flynn’s attorneys that their client might have been fooled into lying to the FBI. Flynn’s supporters have advanced the notion in recent months that the FBI should have approached Flynn more formally, and that he should have been warned in advance that lying to federal agents would be considered a crime.

Michael Flynn’s Lawyers Appear to Have Badly Miscalculated

Lawyers for retired General Michael Flynn had every reason to celebrate. They managed to get their client—who lobbied against U.S. interests while serving as a top Donald Trump–campaign surrogate; tried to undermine the Barack Obama administration’s Russia policy while still a private citizen; and, as a sitting national-security adviser, worked to conceal it all from the Justice Department—a recommendation of no jail time from the government. But they appeared to have made a last-minute miscalculation that put Flynn’s potential lenient sentence in doubt.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating a potential conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, appeared to let Flynn off the hook for his crimes in exchange for his cooperation in the Russia probe and an investigation into illegal lobbying for the Turkish government that is being conducted out of the Eastern District of Virginia. Flynn is also cooperating in a third investigation, the nature of which remains unknown. Indeed, before Tuesday’s hearing, it had appeared all but certain that Flynn’s decision to assist the government early and fully would spare him jail time. But that leniency apparently wasn’t enough for Flynn’s lawyers.
Scott has been missing since the end of the sentencing hearing today.
Flynn said that he was not entrapped by the FBI.

Earlier this month, Israeli media reported that the prime minister is working with Orban’s government to provide approval to a new museum that some historians fear will whitewash Hungary’s historical role in the Holocaust.
Let’s be clear -- these outrageous alliances undermine the core values, goals and interests of our community. They seek to normalize rhetoric and policies that attack minorities, demonize diversity and silence dissent.
By standing with Trump, Orban and co., Netanyahu is providing a Jewish “stamp of approval” on exactly the kind of fear-mongering “us vs. them” worldview that has been a major threat to the Jewish people throughout history.
As I told the Washington Post last week, “By standing with the likes of Orban and Salvini, the Israeli government is ignoring the deep concerns of European Jewish leaders, and forgetting the historical lesson that any government which targets minorities and undermines liberal democracy is ultimately a threat to the Jewish people.”

Impeachment would not only raise Trump's approval with the very suburban voters Democrats just peeled away from the GOP in the 2018 midterms, but it would also energize his base as never before. Trump's supporters knew about his affairs and shady business dealings in 2016. They knew about the "Access Hollywood" tape, where he bragged about grabbing women by their private parts. They knew he boasted about ogling Miss Universe contestants as they were getting dressed and publicly fat-shamed a Miss Universe winner for gaining weight. They knew about the evidence that students were ripped off by the for-profit Trump University (which was not actually a university). They knew that he has been credibly accused of using his charity, the Trump Foundation, to self-deal, including using $258,000 from its coffers to settle legal disputes. They knew about the bankruptcy of his Atlantic City casinos and the allegations that he failed to pay workers and contractors.
They knew all this -- and voted for him anyway. Impeaching him over pre-presidential conduct unrelated to Russia would be seen by Trump voters as an effort to invalidate their votes. It would be received in Trump country as nothing short of an attempted coup. That could provoke a massive backlash. Just as the Democrats' campaign to destroy Brett Kavanaugh cost them the chance to take back the Senate in 2018, a campaign to impeach Trump could very well cost them the chance to take back the presidency in 2020.
In other words, Democrats hoping that the Mueller probe will be Trump's undoing could find it is their own undoing instead.
It could very well be, but the TDS left will be happy in the ruins of electoral disaster.

Impeaching him over pre-presidential conduct unrelated to Russia would be seen by Trump voters as an effort to invalidate their votes. It would be received in Trump country as nothing short of an attempted coup. That could provoke a massive backlash.
