It's not as if everyone shouldn't want to be the "best" that they can be, but the underlying theme here is that the bad characteristics of human nature would all somehow be swept away if we could just do away with the concept of "gender". To be clear, bullying is a human attribute and an overall problem in most societies. It's no more tied to "toxic masculinity" than any human sin would be.

I find it amusing that those who would scream loudest about how we should never attempt to force anyone from being who they are, are the ones probably applauding this "short film". The entire concept of the LGBTQIA (am I missing anything?) is for us to accept everyone for who they are (or even who they believe they are).
Unless of course, you are a straight male. You will also notice that all the bad behavior in the clip is engaged by white males, whereas most of the males coming to the rescue are non-white.
But either way, being a straight male, the social warriors should absolutely reprogram your "toxic masculinity" out of your mind and soul, much like the religious right once tried to reprogram gays from being gay.
In 2019 we believe that gays will be gay, bisexuals will be bisexual, transexuals will be transexual, transgenders will be transgenders, asexuals will be asexuals.. and it's all as it should be.
Why would these same people have a problem with boys being boys?

gillette's in the razor blade business. if they want to take a stab at the social justice business they had better be prepared to accept the verdict of the free market.

"trying" and "doing" the right thing is two entirely different realities.
The "intent" here was quite obviously not to appeal to their customers, but to appeal to the social warrior liberal mindset crowd. This is a typical example of people becoming so self absorbed with all of these little idiocies of social politics that they cannot see the forest for the trees.
Even feminists and people in the #metoo movement are suggesting that Gillette is making a blatant ploy to exploit the movement that has nothing to do with razors. As one critic suggested, it's nonsensical to use feminism to sell men's grooming products.
At the end of the day Pankaj Bhalla and gang believed that it was not only their place, but somehow their responsibility to address an "important conversation". It's neither their place or their responsibility, and most certainly a company that specializes in mens grooming making a silly video is not what will "inspire change".
Reactions to the Ad on the You Tube web site is 10 to 1 against it. With fully half of that saying they will never buy a Gillette product again.
