It's not as if there are no such thing as good cause to use clandestine surveillance (aka spying) on a figure within a political campaign. It's just that those good causes are going to be extremely limited to very obvious and very serious situations. This would be doubly true when the DOJ and FBI are supervised by the opposite Party as the one you are surveilling, and that Party's nominee for President is a former member of that President's cabinet.
Yet, those people who ran around for two years screaming about a fake narrative of "collusion" between Trump and the Russians, and now pissed off that those who started all of this might be facing some scrutiny of their own. To be clear, many of the people Barr wants to further investigate have already been fired, demoted, suspended, and otherwise disciplined after internal investigations show that they broke rules, regulations and acted unethically.
It's time to determine if they also broke the law. It's time to show as much transparency investigating those actions as liberals want regarding the bogus investigations into the Trump campaign.
The reality here folks is simple. Liberals are still in meltdown mode over the loss of their "collusion" narrative and they are looking for a scapegoat. They believe that they have found one in William Barr, and will do everything in their power at this point to do what they did to Trump for two years. Which, of course, is throw around a fake narrative that fits their political agenda.

I have not claimed that the "GOVERNMENT" intentionally did anything.
We have direct "evidence" from IG investigations that there was (indisputably) people like Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, etc... who did not want Trump to win, and were looking to come up with an "insurance policy" in case he did.
It's not a conspiracy theory when we have seen the IMs, the emails, the IG reports recommended firings and criminal referrals.
We also know that these same people were at least in on the call to send informants to infiltrate the Trump camp, and used opposition research to help garner FISA warrants.
There is good reason to have the DOJ go take a look at this and see if these firings, demotions, and other DOJ disciplinary actions rose to the level of criminal behavior...
There is also precedent (From Mueller) that every single member of the former Administration who lied to Congress or to Investigators be charged for false statements (at a bare minimum).

1) Justice Department I G Michael Horowitz's investigation into possible abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act by the Justice Department and FBI should be complete in the next couple months, Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday. It would be reasonable that Barr has been updated on this and knows what has been found. My guess is spying and as he said the predicate is what he is concerned about.

3) The surveillance was initiated on Carter Page who it was claimed was a Russian agent. This was sworn to be true four times over a year period. People who swore to this and signed heavily redacted FISA warrants that confirm this fact include Rosenstein, McCabe, Yates and Comey. It is also alleged human assets were also deployed (from foreign governments) and they then tried to infiltrate the Trump campaign. Can there be any reasonable doubt if they got in they would have then contacted Russia and entrapped Trump ? Whatever, after this surveillance and a 2 year investigation Page was not charged. He is not a Russian agent. This was all a ruse and pretext to spy on Trump. I can see you cannot grasp that.
