Mueller's credibility sinks to new lows

Make no mistake, for nearly two years Robert Mueller not only allowed a false media narrative to survive, in many ways he abused his position to make sure it continued. What we now know incontrovertibly is that the entire idea of Trump/Russian collusion was a flat out lie.

Mueller the hypocrite!
At what point did Mueller know this narrative was a lie? Before he even started, after meeting with the FBI investigators, after a few weeks? What we certainly know is that he would not have ever, at any point in his investigation, ever actually had any reason to believe that the allegations he was investigating was true.

Yet, in indictment after indictment of unprovable charges against Russians, irrelevant charges to the investigation, and process crimes, Mueller provided innuendo (that was quite obviously never proven and likely known to be false) that there was an underlying conspiracy at work. Just enough slightly relevant implications about possibilities, that allowed people like Jeffrey Toobin and Laurence Tribe suggest that Mueller was signalling something bigger coming down the road.

Mueller obviously had to know this was happening. He had to know he was inciting it. He also had to know it was entirely false. But he continued baiting the media into believing that he would eventually be bringing everything together with some big, grand indictments of the Trump family, Trump inner circle, including criminal allegations to the President himself. He let this story undermine the entire first half of the President's first term, and he did it on purpose.

Now, he is apparently upset because William Barr's letter did not provide the correct "narrative" to the media, this time about obstruction. Admittedly, according to sources, when the adult (Barr) asked the child (Mueller) is what he wrote was untrue, the child (Mueller) admitted that it was true, but was upset non-the-less. I heard he even stomped his feet in anger.

That does nothing more than provide proof positive that Mueller's intentions were never to simply investigate and write a quiet report. His intentions from the start was to do what he could to damage the President regardless of what he found. If he couldn't find a crime, or make one up, then he would play the media.

The reality is that we have all seen the report at this point and we can all make up our own minds. The bottom line is that Mueller spent 22 months perpetrating a flat out lie about Russian collusion. Now he is upset that for a whole two weeks, his implications and innuendo didn't control the media coverage?

What a fucking hypocritical cry baby.

This is becoming an embarrassment for Mueller.

Whoever leaked it didn't do him any favors.

In the report Mueller concluded no collusion or coordination ever happens between the Russian government and the Trump campaign.

You may what to, you know, read the report instead of the opinions of your fellow collusion truthers.

I know, impossible, it will require you to think independently.

In the report Mueller concluded no collusion

There is no mention of collusion in the report except to say collusion is not a legal term or law.....wanna try again, asshole...

He did say there was no evidence of criminal conspiracy and that there were 114 contacts with the trump campaign and russians were rooting for trump.....asshole...

Did he use the term "asshole" at the end?

Actually Mueller suggested that there were many contacts with Russians or people who claimed to be associated with Russians (who actually were not). None of those contacts were illegal or otherwise even abnormal. Almost all the contacts with "real" Russians were the garden variety type you would get if you were part of a Presidential campaign and Presidential transition team.

Most of the curious ones were people who were not Russian, but either claimed to be Russian or claimed to have ties to Russians.

One might think that a curious investigator (like say a Special Prosecutor) might wonder why so many people "claiming" to be associated with Russians attempted to contact the Trump administration.

Because other curious people (who were not part of the crack Special Counsel investigation team) did do research and found out that many of them had ties to British intelligence, some had ties to Fusion GPS, some even had loose ties to our own FBI intelligence.

But remarkably, Mueller never reported any of this, because he either "really" didn't find it odd, or really didn't care, or perhaps he wasn't out to actually seek the truth.

Did he use the word collusion you dumb fuck??????

I read the report, your interpretation is yours not mine....Muller did not suggest, he stated there were contacts.....My interpretation was the trump campaign was naive and should have notified the FBI of them but like you, they accepted the stolen e mails and asked for more....sad that you can't see that as being unethical.....asshole...

You were confused by Barr and you can't see it. Self delusion.

“There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.”

Well Denny...

If you read in the report that the Trump campaign "accepted stolen emails" then you read a different report than I read. If they had actually "accepted stolen emails" then that would be an actual prosecutable crime.

I think what you mean to say is that someone stole emails, provided them to wikileaks, who then published them, and somehow you would like to hold Trump criminally liable because he indirectly benefited from it.

It was up to the Obama administration, the Comey/Obama FBI, the Brennan/Obama CIA, and the Clapper/Obama Intelligence agency to have actually done something about that.

And perhaps if Clinton and the DNC had not been incompetent, then their servers might not have been hacked.

There is no public confusion Roger.

The report is out.
The facts are there for everyone to see.

The reality is that the complete and total lack of any evidence of what Robert Mueller was tasked to investigate is the overriding piece of information. In fact it's somewhere between 99 percent and 100 percent of what is important.

Mueller is upset that he lost his narrative.

But that only proves that it was his intention to push a media narrative, rather than to just write a factual report. The report is the report. And regardless of how much he wants to push the so called coincidences, try to convince people that his process crimes prove something that he otherwise couldn't prove...

He cannot get past the reality that there was not a single shred of evidence of any conspiracy, cooperation, nobody was acting as an agent of Russia, or conspiring with Russians to commit any crimes, or even the low hanging fruit of proving that anyone "added and abetted" the Russian efforts.

Nothing, Nada, Zip, Zilch!

He struck out swinging on three pitches in the dirt.

Biden raised this possibility this week - impeach if investigations are blocked

If this had been the standard in the past, Biden would have been president 2012 after Obama was impeached.

That would have been a BFD

@Guy Benson

Barr confirms, under oath, that when he spoke with Mueller on the phone, the Special Counsel was "very clear" that Barr's letter laying out the report's 'bottom lines' was NOT inaccurate.

@BretBair

And also under oath - says Mueller told him 3x that Mueller’s decision not to reach a judgement on obstruction was NOT based on DOJ policy that a President can’t be indicted.
