Anyone dumb enough to believe this?

Why The Author Accusing Trump Of Rape Won’t Bring Charges
Bringing the charge would be “disrespectful to the women who are down on the border who are being raped around the clock down there without any protection,” Carroll said in an interview with MSNBC’s “The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell.”
“It would just be disrespectful,” Carroll said in the interview Friday. “Mine was three minutes. … I can handle it. I can keep going. My life has gone on. I’m a happy woman, but for the women down there and for the women — actually around the world, and every culture this is going on.”
Carroll has had an advice column in Elle magazine called “Ask E. Jean” since 1993.

Let's be honest here. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the dumbest excuse of a reason anyone could possibly come up with, and 10 being the sort of aha moment that would convince everyone, I might offer that this strains to make it to a 1.

For one,  anytime you have these sorts of allegations that only surface at the very time that someone is writing (and selling) a book, it's a pretty safe bet that it's a publicity stunt. But secondly, how does allowing a so called "rapist" run free help anyone? How would potentially throwing a rapist in jail actually disrespect anyone?

Now I have never been personally raped, but those I know who have (and I know a couple) are never upset when someone is convicted and pays the price for their crime. They do, however, become upset when they believe another rapist has gotten away with something. So the reality (as far as I have known it) is the flip opposite of what this person is suggesting?

Thirdly, the statute of limitations has likely expired. The woman has zero collaboration. She would be hard pressed to prove that Donald Trump was within miles of her during the events she describes.

Lastly, the reality is that this is a story. A fable. A made up event to garner attention. There is no more reason to believe this story, than to believe that there once was a wooden puppet to came to life and that his nose would grow every time he told a lie.

FAR MORE IMPORTANT

What if They’re Not Concentration Camps?
BY Mary Pezzulo

Let’s say that there are no concentration camps in our country right now. Let’s say that’s not where we’re keeping the migrants who keep stubbornly showing up on the Southern border. Let’s go ahead and grant that that word is totally inappropriate, despite what some actual Shoah historians say. Some say it is, after all. Let’s say that these internment camps are another sort of outdoor prison wherein huge numbers of a certain type of human being are concentrated together and not allowed to leave. Not a concentration camp but something else.

What we must remember is that the Holocaust also didn’t start with concentration camps.Concentration camps were called the FINAL solution because they were the end of a chain of events. It started with following a leader who had nothing going for him but a certain type of goofy charisma that many found so ridiculous, they didn’t think he could be a threat. It started with being so desperate to save yourself and your country in dire times that you’d fall in line behind anyone. It started with taking age-old prejudices ingrained in a culture and fanning them into violent hate. It started with propaganda and finger-pointing, painting others, any others, as not worthy of life.

It started with the notion that some human beings are more worthy of life than others– and that some evils are tolerable in the interest of safety and prosperity for the right people.

Wherever you see it suggested that some people are worthy of life, prosperity and peace at the expense of others– it doesn’t really matter if what you’re seeing pales in comparison with the atrocities committed at Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald and the other concentration camps. Because you’re looking at the way the concentration camps started.

If you see children deliberately traumatized to punish their parents, babies medically neglected, a prison called “the ice box,” children dying under mysterious circumstances– well, maybe that’s not the experimentation of Doctor Mengele. Maybe it’s less horrifying than that. But it is the kind of thing that has to be normalized in the minds of quite a few people, before we get a Doctor Mengele.

If you hear about prisoners packed like sardines into a cell , that might not be the same as a cattle car. It might be more like something prior to the cattle cars. The ghettos, perhaps. A lot of dreadful things happened prior to the cattle cars.

If you find yourself saying “they should have followed the law,” despite the fact that this is happening to legal asylum-seekers who are following all the laws as well as to illegal migrants– you should realize that what you’re saying is that it’s okay to violate the rights of some human beings, as long as those human beings are law-breakers. And laws can be changed. A government can keep ramping up what they consider illegal, until everyone of a certain race finds themselves illegal no matter how hard they tried to follow the rules. It has happened before. If we don’t have a certain inviolable baseline of the ways in which it’s all right to treat a criminal– if we’ve convinced ourselves that any indignity is appropriate for a law-breaker– then anything is possible.

And if you find you’re listening only to news sources that tell you everything the president does is okay instead of to news that critiques his administration– no, those news sources aren’t nearly as slick as the Nazi propaganda machine. They are laughably oafish by comparison. Yet, here you are believing them. And they are spreading only the news the president would like for you to hear, and that ought to give you pause.

Continuing, Mary said...

Genocides don’t happen all at once.

But once we accept the premise that it’s okay to hurt some people for a greater good, we have accepted that it’s okay to hurt some people for a greater good. Exactly how much hurt for how little good can quickly balloon out of the proportions you were willing to accept in the first place, and at that point you can’t stop it.

Once we accept that treatment we wouldn’t want visited on our own children is all right for somebody else’s children– that’s what we’ve decided to do, to somebody. The question of how many somebodies, and how severely, quickly snowballs out of hand.

Do you remember when you first learned about the Holocaust? Maybe you were in elementary school. Maybe you visited a museum or saw a documentary on television. Perhaps you fell in love with Corrie Ten Boom or Anne Frank. Maybe you checked Number the Stars out of the library’s Newbery Honor Book section and read it all in one sitting, breathless.

Do you remember imagining what you’d do, if something like that ever happened in your time? Of course you didn’t think it would. But do you remember how brave and generous and sneaky you hoped you’d be, if you had been alive during the Holocaust? Do you remember the list of actions you thought you might take, to protect your friends and neighbors and to foil the government’s plans?

Let’s say that there isn’t really a genocide gearing up at our Southern border. Let’s say it’s something less serious than that. What’s the worst that could happen if you fought against what really is happening? That you were compassionate to some refugees and migrants as Christ commanded you to be anyway?

Let’s say there is a genocide going on right now, albeit in its earlier stages. What would you like history to remember you as having done?

What if you decided to do that? To be that person? To be brave?

What’s the worst that could happen? And would it really be worse than being one of the people who stood by and did nothing– or the people who helped it happen?

Remember, those people didn’t think it was a genocide either. They thought they were being practical and obeying the law, for everybody’s good.

I know what I choose to do.

The "pastor" is so flawed he needs to post other peoples entire lengthy opinions. That is a waste of everyone's time but whatever.

Apparently the "pastor" thinks people south of the border have legitimate reasons to flee not only their homeland but all homelands in between and that those they are fleeing from allowed to follow directly behind. Or to have criminal elements exploit children to get here or receive large amounts of money to transport them here along with whatever else they can make money on. Funny that they are not fleeing to Valenzuela. Pedophiles love the current situation and want these victims integrated quicker.

No wall, no vetting, and hence no actual compassion.

Thank God President Trump and more and more Americans know better.

What's really ironic is that the border holding areas are have better conditions than the conditions now regularly found in actual major cities run by democrats such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland etc. Also known as "sanctuary" cities with their needles, feces, trash, crime, graffiti, sleeping in gutters, tents etc.etc.etc. The death rates is staggering, nearly 1,000 homeless died in the streets just last year in LA county. But the left wants policies which would increase this and the media is a compliant accomplice. As is the "pastor"

And those city leaders are "preaching" about illegal immigration and are "morally" outraged.

MIAMI — Two and a half years into his presidency, Donald Trump still has Barack Obama on his mind.

Trump mentioned Obama, his wife and “Obamacare” 23 times in his interview on “Meet the Press” — when he was asked only four direct questions that involved the former president.

And some of those mentions contained outright falsehoods.

Here’s a partial list:

“You cannot have nuclear weapons [regarding Iran]. And they would have had them with President Obama. He gave them $150 billion." (In fact, the Iran nuclear deal was forged to keep Iran from nuclear weapons, and the $150 billion wasn’t U.S. money – it was Iran’s money frozen in international financial institutions around the world.)

“Obama had a lousy economy. It was a dead economy.”
(In fact, the state of the economy has been fairly consistent between Obama’s second term and Trump’s first two years in office – with Obama enjoying slightly higher job-creation numbers and Trump with slightly higher GDP numbers. But in no way was the economy “dead” under Obama.)

“[U]nder President Obama you had separation [of migrant families]. I was the one that ended it.”
(In fact, it was Trump’s administration that started this zero-tolerance policy, while there was no similar actual policy by the Obama administration.)

“I'm about great health care. Obamacare is a disaster. I got rid of the individual mandate.”

"Mike [DeWine in Ohio] won. Georgia, President Obama was there. Oprah was there. Michelle Obama was there. It was going to be a big celebration. [Stacey Abrams] was the star of the party. I went there for Brian. Brian Kemp. Brian Kemp won. Florida, Ron DeSantis …”

Every new president tends to be his predecessor’s opposite.
But Trump just says it more than past presidents — and often inaccurately.
____________

Three retreats by Trump in three weeks

In less than three weeks, President Trump has made three different retreats:

Reaching a deal with Mexico to avert tariffs – a deal that largely consisted of actions that Mexico had already agreed to.

Backing down on military strikes against Iran for shooting down a U.S. surveillance drone.

Delaying his plan for nationwide raids to deport undocumented immigrants.

Indeed, on foreign policy, the New York Times’ Nick Kristof points out that MAXIMUM Trump pressure – on China, Venezuela, the Palestinians and Iran – hasn’t worked out all that well so far.

So James disavows Christ and makes up his own "Christian rules" that primary bend to the will of the Democratic Party. Generally even attributing dishonest political rhetoric as some sort of biblical prophecy.

Fake News

In May 2016, the New York Times published the story of Temple Taggart, who alleged that in 1997, when she was the 21-year-old Miss Utah, Trump introduced himself to her by kissing her on the lips: “I thought, ‘Oh my God, gross.’ He was married to Marla Maples at the time. I think there were a few other girls that he kissed on the mouth,” Taggart said.
That same month, Bridget Sullivan, a former Miss New Hampshire, told BuzzFeed that in 2000, at a time when Donald Trump owned the Miss USA pageant, Trump walked though backstage dressing rooms while contestants were naked.
In June 2016, Cassandra Searles, Miss Washington USA 2013, alleged that Trump repeatedly grabbed her butt: “He probably doesn’t want me telling the story about that time he continually grabbed my ass and invited me to his hotel room,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
*In July 2016, months before the Access Hollywood tape came to light, Jill Harth, a makeup artist, spoke to the Guardian about her sexual assault allegations against Trump, which she detailed in a 1997 lawsuit accusing Trump of “attempted rape.” She recounted how in 1992 and 1993, Trump made unwanted verbal sexual advances and groped her several times, including in one 1993 episode at his Mar-a-Lago estate. Harth had come there with her boyfriend at the time to finalize and celebrate a beauty-pageant-related business deal. Harth alleged that Trump, while giving a tour of the estate, pulled her into the bedroom of one of his children, pushed her against a wall, and was “all over” her, trying to get his hands up her dress. “I had to physically say: ‘What are you doing? Stop it,'” Harth recalled.
In an October 12, 2016 New York Times story that followed the Access Hollywood tape by recounting two new accusers’ stories, Jessica Leeds recalled being seated in first class next to Donald Trump on a flight in the early 1980s. She remembered that about 45 minutes after takeoff, Trump allegedly pushed up the armrest between their two seats and began grabbing her breasts and trying to stick his hands up her skirt. “He was like an octopus,” Leeds told the Times. “His hands were everywhere.”
The other woman in the Times story was Rachel Crooks, who in 2005 was a receptionist at a real estate company based in Trump Tower. Then 22 years old, she ran into Donald Trump outside one of the building’s elevators. Crooks alleged that when she introduced herself to Trump and shook hands, he would not let go of her hand and instead began kissing her on the cheeks and finally on the mouth.
Mindy McGillivray spoke to the Palm Beach Post for a story also published on October 12, about her alleged encounter with Donald Trump in 2003, while she was assisting with a photo shoot for a Ray Charles concert at the Mar-a-Lago resort. She told the Post that after the show had ended, she was standing near Donald and Melania Trump when all of a sudden she felt someone grab her butt. When she turned around, she recalled, she saw Donald Trump, who quickly turned away.
“Who do you complain to?” another woman said. “He owns the pageant.”
The same evening, People published a personal essay by journalist Natasha Stoynoff alleging that in December 2005, Trump had pushed her against a wall and began kissing her while she was on a reporting assignment at Mar-a-Lago. “I was stunned,” she wrote. “And I was grateful when Trump’s longtime butler burst into the room a minute later, as I tried to unpin myself.”

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Jennifer Murphy came forward with allegations that Donald Trump had kissed her on the lips during a job interview. Murphy, whose story was published by Grazia on October 12, was a contestant on season 4 of “The Apprentice” who said she planned to vote for Donald Trump.
The same day, five contestants who competed in the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant told BuzzFeed that Trump walked through their dressing rooms while the girls, between the ages of 15 and 19, were changing, causing two of the five—Maria Billardo and Victoria Hughes—to rush to cover themselves up. Eleven other contestants contacted by BuzzFeed did not remember Trump entering the changing room.
That week, two Miss USA contestants made similar allegations to the Guardian and CBS about Trump walking into their changing room during the 2001 pageant. Tasha Dixon, a former Miss Arizona, told CBS that Trump walked into the changing room while some girls were fully naked. “Who do you complain to?” Dixon said. “He owns the pageant.” The other contestant spoke to the Guardian anonymously, and recalled a similar moment from the 2001 pageant: “He walked in, he stood, and he stared. He was doing it because he knew that he could.”

On October 13, the Huffington Post published an account by Lisa Boyne that in 1996, when she was 25 and a think tank employee living in Manhattan, she attended a dinner with Trump and several models. The models, Boyne alleged, were forced to walk across the table where Trump was sitting so he could peer up their skirts, commenting on their genitalia and whether they were wearing underwear.
On October 14, the Washington Post published the story of former model Kristin Anderson, who alleged that in the early ’90s, Donald Trump—who Anderson said had not introduced himself—slid his hand up her skirt and touched her vagina through her underwear at a Manhattan nightclub.
Also on October 14, Summer Zervos, a former candidate on The Apprentice, spoke at a press conference with attorney Gloria Allred. There she alleged that in 2007, across several meetings about potential job opportunities, Donald Trump kissed Zervos and later groped her. Zervos alleged that at one meeting, Trump had her brought to his bungalow at a Beverly Hills hotel, where he immediately began kissing her, put a hand on her breast and “thrust his genitals” at her while she pushed him away several times and made clear that she didn’t want to take part in such activity. In January 2017, Zervos and Allred filed a defamation suit against Trump in New York state after he called Zervos and other accusers “liars.”
Cathy Heller told the Guardian in story published October 16 that in 1997, when she was at a Mother’s Day brunch at Mar-a-Lago with her husband and kids, Trump grabbed and kissed her without her consent. Trump was making the rounds meeting members at the club, and when he approached her table, Heller stood up and extended her hand to greet him. Trump, she alleges, grabbed her hand, pulled her towards him, and attempted to kiss her on the lips. When she tried to twist herself out of his reach, he said “Oh, come on” and kissed her on the side of her mouth.
Karena Virginia alleged in a late October 2016 press conference that while she was attending the US Open in 1998, Trump grabbed her arm and touched her breast. Virginia was 27 at the time and attended a match with a group of doctors as part of her job as a pharmaceutical rep. She recalled that the incident occurred while she was standing beside a street waiting for a ride. Trump allegedly approached and immediately began making comments about her appearance to a group of men nearby. “Look at her legs,” she recalled him saying as he approached her. “Don’t you know who I am?”

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Ninni Laaksonen, a former Miss Finland and Miss Universe contestant, alleged in an interview with the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat in late October 2016 that Trump groped her before an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2006, when she was 20 years old. “Before the show we were photographed outside the building,” Laaksonen said. “Trump stood right next to me and suddenly he squeezed my butt. He really grabbed my butt…. I don’t think anybody saw it but I flinched and thought: ‘What is happening?’”
During a October 22 press conference with attorney Gloria Allred, adult film star Jessica Drake alleged that Trump forcibly kissed her and two female friends in 2006. Drake said the episode occurred when she was attending a Tahoe golf tournament on behalf of an adult film company. Trump, she said, asked for her phone number when they met earlier in the day. She provided it, and later he invited her up to his room, and she went, bringing two friends. “When we entered the room, he grabbed each of us tightly in a hug and kissed each one of us without asking permission. He was wearing pajamas.” Drake says that after answering a series of questions from Trump about her personal life, she returned to her room. At that point, she received several phone calls from Trump asking her to return to his suite. After several refusals, Trump allegedly said to her “What do you want? How much?”
In December 2017, Samantha Holvey, a former Miss North Carolina, told CNN that before the Miss USA contest in 2006, Trump lined up all of the contestants and inspected them “one by one, like we were pieces of meat and he was trying to decide which piece of meat he wanted.” Holvey also said that Trump barged into the dressing room while women were changing.
In February 2019, former Trump campaign staffer Alva Johnson filed a federal lawsuit alleging that Trump had kissed her without her consent in August 2016, before a rally in Tampa, Florida. The lawsuit by Johnson, who is black, also contends she was paid less than white counterparts on the campaign. Johnson, who is the first person to come forward with sexual assault allegations against the president since he took office, told the Washington Post that Trump had grabbed her hand and leaned in to kiss her, to which she turned away, causing the kiss to land on the side of her mouth.
In June 2019, journalist and advice columnist E. Jean Carroll published a cover story in New York magazine alleging that sometime in 1995 or 1996, Trump raped her in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Carroll alleges that Trump spotted her at the entrance to the store and asked her for help picking out a gift for a woman. He eventually encouraged her to go with him to the lingerie department. There, he goaded her to try on lingerie and then attacked her in the dressing room. Two friends of Carroll’s confirmed to New York that she told them about the alleged rape at the time it happened; Trump denied the allegation to the magazine.

Last week began with a broad political discussion on whether Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s designation of migrant detention centers as “concentration camps” was the correct nomenclature for holding rooms in which 41 detainees live in a cell built for eight. The week ended with heinous reports of the conditions at said camps, where undocumented migrant children are being held away from their families in conditions “worse than jail,” according to physician Dolly Lucio Sevier, who wrote up a medical declaration obtained by ABC News after visiting Border Patrol holding facilities along the border in Texas. Here’s everything we know about conditions in the detention camps.

Conditions in a McAllen, Texas Facility “Could Be Compared to Torture Facilities”
Sevier, a private-practice physician in the Rio Grande Valley, was granted access to a facility in McAllen, Texas, after attorneys discovered a flu outbreak that sent five infants to a neonatal intensive-care unit. At the detention center — the largest such Border Patrol facility in the country — Sevier examined 39 children under the age of 18 facing conditions including “extreme cold temperatures, lights on 24 hours a day, no adequate access to medical care, basic sanitation, water, or adequate food.” All 39 exhibited signs of trauma.

Sevier told ABC News that the teenagers she observed were not able to wash their hands while in custody, which she called “tantamount to intentionally causing the spread of disease.” Teen mothers in custody described to her not being able to clean their children’s bottles: “To deny parents the ability to wash their infant’s bottles is unconscionable and could be considered intentional mental and emotional abuse,” Sevier wrote. In summary, she determined that “the conditions within which they are held could be compared to torture facilities.”

Children “Had to Sleep on the Floor … as Punishment for Losing the Comb”
Outside of El Paso, attorney and children’s-rights advocate Warren Binford gained access to a Border Patrol facility where 351 migrant children were detained; over 100 were under 13, and the youngest was just over 4 months. Binford reported that many of the kids had been held for three weeks or longer, and that guards had created a “child boss” who was rationed extra food in an attempt to control the other children. Binford told The New Yorker about the Clint, Texas facility’s treatment of a lice outbreak.

Why are you so obsessed with unfounded allegations against one President when you defended the President who not only settled a sexual harassment lawsuit, but admitted to having a quid pro quo onoe sides sexual relationship with a 20 year intern WHILE he was President?

Explain it to me logically, Roger. Otherwise shut the fuck up!
