I think Castro should be able to find another 2% poll between now and the end of August. Yang and Klobuchar? Well that 2% is rather small. It might just be a rounding error that causes them to get in or be excluded. But I suspect we will see all three squeak their way through.
It's certainly possible that others might see themselves lifted as well.. Gabbard had a decent night, and if all it is taking is 2% in four polls, she might have pushed the needle enough to garner that. Likewise with the crazy Williamson. Perhaps enough Republicans pretending to be fake Democrats can lift her into the next round.
Some of these fringe candidates could also be helped by some of the horribly weaker ones dropping out of the race all together. One might expect that the September debates might whittle things down to around 10-12 candidates, and that would be good. Who knows what might happen between now and then.

In the summer of 1975, Jimmy Carter was averaging 1% in the polls. And in the summer of 1991, Bill Clinton was averaging 1.7%.
Seems weird to have rules that would have kept two of the last three Democrat presidents off the primary debate stage.
