Trump out to big campaign advertising lead!

Trump dominates in digital, while Joe Biden twiddles his thumbs advertising on TV
I don’t watch much TV anymore. Most of the news I get is from some form of the internet (keeping that information flowing is another topic, it’s getting tough). So I’m unlikely to see Biden TV ads. But I constantly see Trump ads on Facebook.
Getting around mainstream media bias is tough. I don’t think even the most aggressive Trump digital strategy can completely neutralize the in-kind contribution the media gives to Democrats, but it’s making a major dent.
There’s a broader lesson there, one that needs to be applied to the education system — develop an alternative means of communicating with students, one that goes around biased institutions.

Not sure you can totally rule out running television ads, especially this far out. That being said, I have seen Donald Trump ads during football games and other major television events that are not directly competing with Netflix, the internet, or other streaming services. In fact, Trump seems to be in almost full campaign mode, while the Democrats "actually" running are fairly silent. If  you put a gun to my head, I couldn't really tell you what Joe Biden claims to be standing for. For that matter, I am not sure what any of the Democrats right now stand for other than hating on the bad orange man.

The RNC and the President are clearly raising a shit load of money and Trump is said to have somewhere in the area of $80 million in the bank right now, with more coming in every day. Most expect he will raise more than a billion dollars. We'll see. Obviously there are multiple Democrats running, which skews the early money in their favor, but much of that it is being spent on the primary, fighting among themselves.

Thus the Democrat panic as illustrated by Rep Al Green: "I’m concerned if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected."

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights. All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here - a lynching. But we will WIN!

A lynching.. rrb wants to lynch the first negro President in the Rose garden.

Take your meds Roger and dispense with the racist lynching talk.

Trump on Tuesday called the impeachment inquiry into him a “lynching,” using a racially coded word to describe a process set forth for Congress in the Constitution.

It was designed to make people like you folks happy. racist rodent bastards and kput'z want to lynch the negro President.

Half Want Trump Impeached AND Removed
October 22, 2019 at 6:37 am

A new CNN poll finds 50% of Americans say President Trump should be impeached AND removed from office, a new high in the poll and the first time that support for impeachment AND removal has significantly outpaced opposition.

Key Diplomat to Testify In Impeachment Probe
October 22, 2019 at 5:55 am EDT

Associated Press:
“William Taylor has emerged as an unlikely central player in the events that are at the heart of the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump.

“The retired career civil servant was tapped to run the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine after the administration abruptly ousted the ambassador. He was then drawn into a Trump administration effort to leverage U.S. military aid for Ukraine.

“And then he apparently grew alarmed.”

INTERESTING, INTERESTING.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Trump somehow confused congressional oversight with racial terrorism. How could such a thing happen? Oh, yeah, he’s a racist, racist rodent bastards and kput'z want to lynch the negro President.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

William Taylor may be the reason why the President went crazy this morning.

Yes he is a racist.

His family has a history of racism.

KKK, and racial discrimination in apartment buildings in New York city.

The leaves don't fall for the trees.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

His tweets are an indication of how much pressure he feels.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

The media will not be playing into Trump's hands the way they did in the last election. They gave him much free publicity, parroting even his stupidest and most outrageous tweets and comments with little questioning, investigative journalism.

This time, investigative journalism will be much more in force.

Even Faux News has stopped being so big a patsy for Trump.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

If the Democrats nominee is able to focus his or her campaign upon changing the path forward.

A Reuters/Ipsos national Election Day poll in 2016 found that 75% of voters were looking for a “strong leader to take the country back from the rich and powerful.” If we want to win back voters in Ohio and Michigan, we need to inspire them with a transformational vision of change, and not incrementalism that they’ll again reject as inadequate in this moment of growing inequality.

This desire for bold change extends beyond the Midwest. Just a few years ago, the demand for a $15 per hour minimum wage was dismissed by critics — many of them Democrats — as unrealistic. But a powerful grassroots movement successfully challenged the status quo. The popularity of once-fringe ideas like “Medicare for All” and the “Green New Deal” demonstrate that our movement is on the march.

We could well see a sea change on the level of FDR and the New Deal, and a reversal of the economic policy that favors the rich.

The Mulvaney Pile-On Continues
October 22, 2019 at 5:50 am EDT

Politico:
“Fighting for President Donald Trump is one thing. But Republicans aren’t eager to defend a struggling White House chief of staff they’ve never really loved. Mick Mulvaney’s two stumbling public appearances over the past week have deepened the president’s Ukraine scandal, undercut a chief GOP talking point and left the party stunned and frustrated as Republican lawmakers look to hold off Democrats’ impeachment drive.”

Are Republicans now into lynching poor, poor Mulvaney?

I hope the @HouseGOP & @SenateGOP take a lesson from the censure vote against Schiff for blatantly lying in his official capacity.

Not ONE Democrat could say "its not ok to make up fake quotes and put them in the President's mouth"

TAKE A LESSON ABOUT WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

They gave him much free publicity.

Even the media later admitted they had shirked their journalistic responsibility regarding Trump.

Obama at the first press dinner where he was so effective as a joking and sometimes satirical speaker asked the media after Trump's election, "Are you proud of yourselves?"

There was an embarrassed silence.

This time -- if Trump even makes it to the election -- he will not find it so easy.

He's already not finding it so easy, not even with his crony media.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Nobody but Trump and his sycophants keep trying to say that Schiff's effective parodying of Trump's statements during the phone call was lying.

Easy enough to compare the transcript* to Schiff's words.

Trump himself has parodied people so many, many times. But often his parodying WAS out and out lying.

*We're still waiting for the unredacted version we were promised. Why is that being kept away from the public?

‘It’s too much’: Democrats shudder at Trump’s money machine

Democrats are increasingly worried by the spending chasm between the two sides — and its implications for 2020.

Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee have raised more than $300 million this year for his reelection — more than any other sitting president in history at this point in the campaign.

Trump has nearly twice as much cash on hand — $158 million, between his campaign account and the RNC — as Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee had at this time in his successful re-election run.

https://www.politico.com/news/2019/10/21/trump-money-democrats-2020-election-050962

And Trump won in 2016 with little organization.

VERY organized for 2020

Obamacare Premiums Drop Again
October 22, 2019 at 10:06 am EDT

“Premiums for key plans sold on HealthCare.gov will drop by 4% on average next year, with several states seeing double-digit declines,” Politico reports.

“This marks the second straight year that the so-called benchmark premium has dropped and is a further sign that the Obamacare insurance marketplaces are stabilizing, even as the administration supports a lawsuit that could destroy the health care law.”

Quote of the Day
October 22, 2019 at 10:48 am EDT

"Haven’t even had coffee yet and the occupant of the White House, the BIGOTED MAN who called for the EXECUTION of the exonerated five, is tossing the word ‘lynching’ around.

Lord give me the strength to not take the bait but hold this man accountable for every single thing he says and does.

Don’t take your eye off the ball, family.

A major witness is testifying today and Trump’s using a predictable play to try to distract and divide.

We see right through him.”
