Impeachment hearings helping Trump in all facets!

Of course, this is NOT an MSM commissioned poll or it would have been buried!

The poll comes as the White House is embroiled in the House’s impeachment investigation into Trump’s dealings with Ukraine. Voters are slightly opposed to impeaching Trump, with 45 percent in opposition and 43 percent in support.
The results, which mark a reversal from October, are largely driven by Independents, who supported impeachment by a 48-39 margin last month and now oppose impeachment by a 49-34 margin.

Bottom line is that this impeachment hearing is exposing the Democrats for what they really are. A bunch of whiny, unfair, partisan, Trump hating, American hating, petty, vindictive, crybabies who still cannot get over their 2016 election defeat!

Keep in mind. These polls are being taken while Democrats have full control of pretty much everything. If they cannot convince people in their own setting, where it is all their own rules, how do you think they will do in the Senate when the GOP controls the witness list, which questions can be asked, who can ask them, etc, etc...

Already the GOP is floating the idea of banning any and all hearsay (as it would be in a real criminal proceeding) which would cut the Democratic list of witnesses down to about zero, or at least limit their testimony to providing their name. They can also have the Chief Justice treat the event as a criminal trial and pretty much object to any witnesses who are there just to provide irrelevant opinions on policy questions. Meanwhile all of the evidence that they are "hiding" will be exposed once they vote to impeach.

In other words, the actual trial held in the Senate will be a virtual nightmare for the Democrats.

Which is why there are still rumors that many people within the Democratic Party are looking at other options (such as a censure vs impeachment).

.CA is moving to Trump

"The California Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down a new law that would have required President Donald Trump to release five years of his tax returns in order to appear on the March 2020 primary ballot in California, delivering a setback to Democrats nationwide who’ve spent years fighting for the financial documents."

Doctor Hill stood up for Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the Army officer who testified earlier and whom Trump’s allies tried to discredit. He is at the White House National Security Council, where she worked until this summer.

At one point, Republicans interjected, trying to cut off Hill’s response as she flipped the script during the afternoon of questioning. The GOP lawmakers had been trying to highlight her differences with Sondland, the ambassador to the European Union who delivered damaging testimony Wednesday about what he said was Trump’s “quid pro quo” pursuit of the political investigations.

“You may not like the witness’ answer, but we will hear it,” said Rep. Adam Schiff, the Democratic chairman of the committee.

Hill, a former aide to then-national security adviser John Bolton, sternly warned Republican lawmakers — and implicitly Trump — to quit pushing a “fictional” narrative that Ukraine, rather than Russia, interfered in U.S. elections.
She also testified that Bolton directed her to report the lawyer for the National Security agency.

Trump has told others testifying in the inquiry that Ukraine tried to “take me down” in the 2016 election. Republicans launched their questioning Thursday reviving those theories.

Hill declared: “I refuse to be part of an effort to legitimize an alternative narrative that the Ukrainian government is a U.S. adversary, and that Ukraine — not Russia — attacked us in 2016.”

She also described a "shadow foreign policy" overseen by Sondland and others, and how former national security adviser John Bolton had told her to report to lawyers what he described as a "drug deal" cooked up by Sondland and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.

My view of this testimony today is that if John Bolton testifies under oath, it is likely lead to Moscow Mitch McConnell or someone else to go to the White House and request that he must resign or face conviction. Or maybe even worse than it would lead to a landslide !♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️♨️🧨

Fiona Hill: Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories About George Soros Are "The New Protocols Of The Elders Of Zion"

Fiona Hill, a former top Russia analyst for the White House whoa has also worked for George Soros at his Open Society Foundation, told the House impeachment inquiry on Thursday that attacks on Lt. Col. Vindman, a Ukrainian of Jewish descent, had a "tinge of anti-Semitism... certainly when they involve George Soros."

The comments came after Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi asked about her being labeled a "mole for George Soros in the White House" by some of President Trump's more radical supporters, including Roger Stone.

"This is the longest-running anti-Semitic trope that we have in history, and a trope against Mr. Soros was also created for political purposes, and this is the new Protocols of The Elders of Zion," she said.

"When I saw this happening to Ambassador Yovanovitch again, I was furious, because this is, again, just this whipping up of what is frankly an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory about George Soros to basically target nonpartisan career officials, and also some political appointees as well, because I just want to say this: This is not indiscriminate in its attacks," she said.

Republicans are going to be really put in a box here...

Former U.S. attorney Nick Akerman, who prosecuted the Watergate case, said U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland's Wednesday testimony in the House impeachment inquiry marked a "tipping point" for President Trump.

"Yesterday was the tipping point completely," Akerman told Newsweek.

"There's no defense to any of it now, there's nothing. What's he going to say, the Devil made me do it? That's what they're left with. There's no good defense. There's no good reason why he did this. It's purely for personal campaign purposes," he continued.

Sondland's fiery testimony was marked by several bombshells that refuted some of Trump and his GOP allies' defenses against House Democrats' probes. He told lawmakers that he believes there was a quid pro quo between Trump and Ukraine, with Trump pressing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to announce the launch of political investigations in exchange for a call and a meeting.

"Was there a 'quid pro quo?'" Sondland asked. "With regard to the requested White House call and White House meeting, the answer is yes." He added that "Everyone was in the loop" about the move.

A whistleblower complaint filed earlier this year alleged that the Trump administration held up millions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine while Trump pushed for investigations into former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

President Trump has repeatedly denied any quid pro quo, and he told reporters at the White House this week that he wanted nothing from Ukraine.

Akerman alleged that "What we're really talking about here is two things: bribery and extortion. That's what the facts amount to."

"Bribery is important because bribery is listed in the U.S. Constitution as an impeachable offense in addition to high crimes and misdemeanors," he told Newsweek.

Akerman added that Trump could be in a weaker position than former President Nixon was among Republican colleagues during the Watergate scandal because he has not forged the decades-long relationships that Nixon held in Washington.

"There were people who were willing to take a bullet for him, would stand in front of a truck and be run over. You could see from Sondland, he's not going to give up his life for Donald Trump. There were people that would do that for Richard Nixon," he said.

"This is pretty concrete," Akerman continued. "Republicans are going to be really put in a box here...Anybody looking at the objective evidence is going to have to say this guy's guilty of bribery and extortion, there's no question about it that what he did was off the rails and if you're ever going to impeach a president on anything, this is about as bad as it gets."

I said Lisa Page was in trouble.

Horowitz reportedly finds FBI lawyer falsified FISA doc; WaPo stealth-deletes Strzok connection

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has found evidence that an FBI lawyer manipulated a key investigative document related to the FBI's secretive surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser -- enough to change the substantive meaning of the document, according to multiple reports.

The show-stopping development comes as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News that Horowitz's comprehensive report on allegations of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant abuse against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page will be released on Dec. 9. "That's locked," Graham said.

The new evidence concerning the altered document, which was related to the FBI's FISA court warrant application to surveil Page, is expected to be outlined in Horowitz's upcoming report. CNN first reported the news, which was largely confirmed by The Washington Post.

The Post, hours after publishing its story, conspicuously removed the portion of its reporting that the FBI employee involved was underneath Peter Strzok, the FBI's since-fired head of counterintelligence. The Post did not offer an explanation for the change, which occurred shortly after midnight. Earlier this week, the DOJ highlighted a slew of anti-Trump text messages sent by Strzok when he was leading the Hillary Clinton email investigation and the probe into the Trump campaign.

As James is so fond of saying; More to come.

You live in an alternative reality.

Donald Trump wasn’t the only presidential candidate whose campaign was boosted by officials of a former Soviet bloc country.

Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found.

A Ukrainian-American operative who was consulting for the Democratic National Committee met with top officials in the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington in an effort to expose ties between Trump, top campaign aide Paul Manafort and Russia, according to people with direct knowledge of the situation.

The Ukrainian efforts had an impact in the race, helping to force Manafort’s resignation and advancing the narrative that Trump’s campaign was deeply connected to Ukraine’s foe to the east, Russia. But they were far less concerted or centrally directed than Russia’s alleged hacking and dissemination of Democratic emails.

The simple truth that people like Noonan miss is that credentials, including military service, no matter how sterling or impressive, do not necessarily bespeak wisdom or future achievement, any more than exquisite manners, as Jane Austen has taught us, bespeak a true gentleman. They represent instead a promise that is broken more often than kept. What infuriates them about Trump, aside from his affrontery of getting elected over the highly credentialed Hillary Clinton, is that though lacking such credentials, and contemptuous of the political decorum of the ruling caste and their advice, he has been remarkably successful both at home and abroad.

Moreover, the government agencies Noonan extolls are large, hierarchically organized, public-funded bureaucracies. This means they are riddled with group-think, received ideas, and outmoded paradigms that determine advancement. And being funded by taxpayers and protected by a union and civil-service regulations, they are unaccountable to the voters, and so can fail for years without any consequences. Worse yet, mediocrity and politicization flourish in such environments, and those who think beyond the ruling paradigm find it difficult to make changes. In short, they are the “deep state” that Noonan claims doesn’t exist.

MOUNTAIN OF IMPEACHMENT EVIDENCE IS BEYOND DISPUTE
November 22, 2019 at 7:12 am EST

“After two weeks of riveting public hearings in the House impeachment inquiry into President Trump, there is a mountain of evidence that is now beyond dispute,” the AP reports.

“Trump explicitly ordered U.S. government officials to work with his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani on matters related to Ukraine, a country deeply dependent on Washington’s help to fend off Russian aggression.

"The Republican president pushed Ukraine to launch investigations into political rivals, leaning on a discredited conspiracy theory his own advisers disputed. And both American and Ukrainian officials feared that Trump froze a much-needed package of military aid until Kyiv announced it was launching those probes.

“Those facts were confirmed by a dozen witnesses, mostly staid career government officials who served both Democratic and Republican administrations. They relied on emails, text messages and contemporaneous notes to back up their recollections from the past year.”

Mueller Findings Could Become Impeachment Articles
November 22, 2019 at 8:06 am EST

Politico:
“Now that House Democrats have wrapped up public hearings on President Trump’s pressure campaign to get Ukraine to launch politically advantageous investigations, there are plans to hold at least one public impeachment hearing on Trump’s misdeeds as alleged in the special counsel’s report.

“It’s a gathering that could fuel articles of impeachment beyond those tied to the Ukraine controversy. Democrats say they have new Mueller-related fodder after Roger Stone’s recent trial raised questions about whether TRUMP PROVIDED FALSE STATEMENTS to the special counsel’s team. And the hearing could even feature a star witness — former White House counsel Don McGahn. A judge is set to rule in the coming days on whether McGahn must comply with a House subpoena.”

“The Judiciary Committee will draft and vote on articles of impeachment and send those to the full House for debate, that much is clear. But how the Judiciary panel completes the already unorthodox impeachment process is still up in the air. Though lawmakers and aides expect the 1998 proceedings against former President Bill Clinton to be the model for the Trump case, they’re quick to emphasize they haven’t been told how the endgame will play out.

“In fact, Judiciary Committee members have received little guidance from party leaders on how the panel will conduct the proceedings or the timeframe for completing them, according to interviews with more than a dozen Democratic lawmakers and aides. They know that the Intelligence Committee will send a report to Judiciary, but beyond that, they don’t know the number of hearings, format, or the timeline for finishing up work.”
