The greatest celebrity dancer of our lifetime?

Lives to dance another week!

So it's become somewhat of a perpetual state of frustration for the judges who both would like to vote him off because they believe he is the least talented dancer left, but also likely because they don't like his politics. Generally dancers are not going to be Republicans.

But in spite of (once again) getting the lowest scores from the judges, Sean Spicer was saved by the public vote. In fact, the public vote moved  him ahead of one of the other dancers who received a perfect score from the Judges, meaning it's not just a "little" bump from the voters, it's a tremendous bump from the home voters.

Trump’s Impeachment Defense Crumbles
November 6, 2019 at 7:32 am EST

Playbook: “We asked our sources this simple question: If Trump is so concerned about corruption, can you point to other places in the world where he’s withheld aid in exchange for cleaning up government, or was the Biden example unique? No one can, but people point out that he frequently has threatened to cut off aid.”

“The public witness the GOP fears: Bill Taylor is the unanimous No. 1.”

Blue Wave Crashes Down on Pennsylvania Again
November 6, 2019 at 7:29 am EST

Philadelphia Inquirer: “The political forces that shaped last year’s midterm elections showed no signs of abating Tuesday, as voters turned on Republicans and establishment Democrats alike in races from Philadelphia and Scranton to the suburbs of Delaware and Chester Counties.

“Locally, Democrats will hold all five seats on the Delaware County Council, a Republican stronghold since the Civil War, and also assumed a majority on the legislative body in Chester County. In Bucks County, Democrats also held a late lead for control of the board of commissioners in a close race.”

Democrats Sweep GOP Out In Virginia
November 6, 2019 at 7:26 am EST

New York Times:
“For the first time since 1993, Democrats control both chambers in the legislature and the governor’s office — allowing them to redraw the state’s legislative boundaries after next year’s census.

“Linking Republican incumbents to the unpopular president and criticizing them for opposing gun control measures in the aftermath of a mass shooting in Virginia Beach in May, Democratic challengers built their victory with strong showings in suburbs stretching from outside Washington to Richmond and Hampton Roads. In Fairfax County, the state’s largest jurisdiction, the last remaining Republican lawmaker was defeated.”

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Democrats’ claim of victory Tuesday in Kentucky’s gubernatorial race, as well as the Democratic takeover of the Virginia state legislature, left Republicans stumbling and increasingly uncertain about their own political fates next year tied to an embattled and unpopular president.

Many allies of President Trump’s rushed to explain away the poor performance of incumbent Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin (R) as an anomaly, while other GOP veterans expressed alarm about the party’s failure in a state where Trump won by nearly 30 percentage points in 2016 — and where he just campaigned this week.

While Bevin was unpopular, he was also a devotee of the president, embracing Trump’s agenda and his anti-establishment persona. And in the contest’s final days, Bevin sought to cast his candidacy as a bulwark against House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry of Trump.

But Bevin’s attempt to nationalize his cause by stoking conservative grievances about the impeachment process was not enough to overcome his problems nor was Trump’s raucous rally for the governor on Monday — raising questions about Trump’s political strength as he faces a barrage of challenges and a difficult path to reelection.

PUTIN WANTS TO HELP TRUMP AGAIN

Russian Media Names Alleged Whistleblower
November 6, 2019 at 7:20 am EST

Daily Beast:
“Standing beside an approving Donald Trump at a rally in Kentucky on Monday night, Republican Sen. Rand Paul demanded the media unmask the whistleblower whose report about the president’s alleged abuse of power dealing with Ukraine sparked impeachment proceedings.

“American news organizations resisted the pressure, but—in a 2019 re-play of 'Russia, if you’re listening’—Kremlin-controlled state media promptly jumped on it.

“Very quickly after Sen. Paul tweeted out an article that speculated in considerable detail about the identity of the whistleblower—with a photograph, a name, and details about the purported political history of a CIA professional—Russian state media quickly followed suit.”

Republicans Ready to Throw Sondland Under the Bus FOR TELLING THE TRUTH
November 6, 2019 at 6:41 am EST

Playbook:
“This was, perhaps, the most surprising to us. Conventional wisdom held that Gordon Sondland was going to be the strongest ally for Trump — a donor whose $1 million to the Trump inaugural fund should have made him a loyal figure. But Republicans are starting to turn on him. Lawmakers we spoke with called him a lackey, a chest-thumper and a rube. Of course, perhaps that’s because he turned on the president. But there is no love lost for Sondland at all.”

Warning Signs for Republicans
November 6, 2019 at 6:36 am EST

Washington Post:
“The Kentucky defeat has sparked concern among the party’s donors and many longtime GOP leaders who are worried that the nonstop twists of the House impeachment inquiry and Trump’s growing fury are making it increasingly difficult for Republicans to make a clear and compelling case to voters.”

Associated Press:
“It’s difficult to draw sweeping conclusions from state elections, each with their own unique quirks and personalities. But there’s little doubt Tuesday’s outcome is a warning to Republicans across the nation a year out from the 2020 election and a year after the 2018 midterms: The suburbs are still moving in the wrong direction.”

Democrats Stay Fired Up

Vox:
“Virginia and Kentucky demonstrated one clear thing: Democrats were fired up. No matter what caveats exist in each state, that’s great news for the Democratic party heading into 2020.

“Beyond his turnout wins, Beshear’s message could give the national party hope. He ran primarily on health care and education — vowing to protect Medicaid and boost funding for teachers — a strategy Democrats could replicate in other Trump-friendly states and regions like West Virginia, another state that has seen teachers strikes.

“Democrats also won their enthusiasm test in Virginia… Anecdotally, turnout was up significantly in the state. That’s significant especially because Virginia had no governor’s race or US Senate on the ballot, presenting both Democrats and Republicans with a unique opportunity to show how strong the party apparatus was.”

“Briskman, a former marketing executive and local Democratic activist, unseated eight-year incumbent Republican Suzanne Volpe.”

No Tie Breaker This Time
November 6, 2019 at 8:36 am EST

“A Virginia Democrat who lost her 2017 race for the state’s House of Delegates after another candidate’s name was picked out of a bowl in a tie-breaker handily ousted her Republican foe Tuesday,” CNN reports.

“Shelly Simonds defeated Republican incumbent Delegate David Yancey, allowing her to claim the seat she lost two years ago after a state law dating back to 1705 was used to settle the 11,608-vote tie between the two candidates. Simonds won the rematch with 11,556 votes to Yancey’s 8,069 votes.”

I did see Virginia went big to the racist dems.

Dems think a smoking gun is when someone changes his opinion that there was quid pro quo, but still no facts. Others directly involved (fact witnesses) say not. Got to go with the facts.

And why is the press hiding the ABC Epstein scandal, other than to protect Hillary having interfered with the 2016 election? On tape the anchor caught saying they had the whole group of pedophiles nailed, including Bill.
But that is why network news is not trusted anymore, though they are continuing to attempt to influence low intelligence voters.

The Michael Flynn smoking gun: FBI headquarters altered interview summary.

Sidney Powell's Latest Court Filing Convinces @CNN Analyst There Was An FBI Conspiracy.

… Here’s me, acknowledging my mistake. I was dead wrong. It now seems there was a concerted effort, though isolated, within the upper-echelons of the FBI to influence the outcome of the Flynn investigation. By “dirtying up” Flynn, Comey’s FBI headquarters team of callow sycophants shortcut the investigative process. Arm-twisting Flynn through the “tweaked” version of his interview afforded him criminal exposure. The cocksure Comey team felt supremely confident that would inspire him “flipping” and give them the desperately sought-after evidence of Trump-Russia collusion that the wholly unverified Steele dossier was never remotely capable of providing.

I am physically nauseous as I type these words. I have long maintained that innocent mistakes were made and that the investigators at the center of this maelstrom were entitled to the benefit of the doubt.
No more.

They have tarnished the badge and forever stained an agency that deserved so much better from them. I am ashamed. The irreparable damage Comey’s team has done to the FBI will take a generation to reverse.

Trump Allies Downplay His Failure as Closer
November 6, 2019 at 9:59 am EST

“President Trump’s allies are downplaying his failed effort to boost Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin to a clear win Tuesday night, with White House counselor Kellyanne Conway offering evidence-free claims of voting ‘irregularities’ and other Republican leaders claiming Bevin was much further behind than polls showed,” Politico reports.

“The GOP incumbent was unable to capture a second term in the immediate aftermath of the state’s closely watched gubernatorial election, but he has refused to concede the race and referenced unspecified ‘irregularities’ in the
voting process during his remarks Tuesday.”

President Trump’s allies are downplaying his failed effort to boost Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin to a clear win

Considering the fact that Bevin was down by as much at 19 points before Trump parachuted in and rallied to a virtual tie speaks something of Trump turning out the vote.

And it could be argued, Trump intervention could have saved the GOP from a down ballot disaster.
