(CNN)Nearly all coronavirus patients who needed ventilators in New York's largest health system to help them breathe died, a study found.
Overall, about 20% of Covid-19 patients treated at Northwell Health died, and 88% of those placed on ventilators died, according to the study. A ventilator is a device that forces air into the lungs of patients who cannot breathe on their own because of severe pneumonia or acute respiratory distress syndrome. Other, smaller reports have indicated that patients who need ventilation are unlikely to survive.
I actually heard someone say that with the Covid-19 virus it may turn out that ventilators may actually do more harm than good. Something to do with how it had effected the lungs and how sensitive they were and easily damaged. Wouldn't surprise me that something like that turns out true.

"Among these voters who regularly watch the briefings, 59% to 37% they say that the media is unfair, biased, and disrespectful. While those who do not regularly watch the briefings only 34% say the media is unfair and 51% say that they are fair. The briefings are showing the bias and disrespect of members of the media towards the president.”
That's 6 in 10 people who regularly watch the media in action.
NBC News: “As Trump went off script to suggest people with the virus could be cured by UV rays or disinfectants ‘by injection inside,’ White House officials began texting one another to ask where he got that idea because they thought, as one adviser put it, ‘this was going to be bad.'

CNN: “A Trump adviser working with the task force admitted to feeling an immediate visceral reaction to Trump’s comments suggesting people could inject themselves with sunlight and disinfectants as a cure for the virus.”

“As soon as next week, he may stop appearing daily and make shorter appearances when he does.
“A number of Trump’s most trusted advisers — both inside and outside the White House — have urged him to stop doing marathon televised briefings. They’ve told him he’s overexposed and these appearances are part of the reason polls aren’t looking good for him right now against Joe Biden.” __________________
