The city of Seattle and protesters occupying the “Capitol Hill Organized Protest” have reached an agreement that will remove temporary roadblocks and replace them with concrete barriers, Fox News has been told.
The Seattle Department of Transportation is installing concrete barriers in the middle of Pine Street, running East and West, which will split the road for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This will allow for emergency service vehicles to pass through the area.
The agreement will reduce the area protesters previously called Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ, from about six or seven city blocks to just three. This is the first time in weeks traffic will be able to pass by the shuttered East Police Precinct.
Well does that mean that Seattle fire and police will now actually start responding to 911 calls in downtown Seattle? As many already heard, a business owner caught a burglar who had broke into his shop and started a fire. The shop was located a couple blocks outside the area of CHAZ or CHOP. In spite of several calls to 911, neither the police or the fire department came to this man's aid. He had personally apprehended the suspect, but other people from CHOP came to the arsonist's aid and helped him escape.
Apparently the fire department would not come without police protection and the police wouldn't come because it was too close to CHOP and they didn't want to cause any trouble. This is what it has come to in downtown Seattle. There is no more authority and leadership has lost all control. An honest business man is allowed zero protection from thugs who simply aim to destroy his business in the name of destruction.
