Absolutely PATHETIC thread.....why not the Trump interview with Wallace from yesterday....the one where he would not say he would leave the WH if he loses and the lies about US mortality.....that sure is an eye opener even for you trump sucking idiots!!!!
It’s far worse than I thought. In addition to the many links between the family that owns The New York Times and the Civil War Confederacy, new evidence shows that members of the extended family were slaveholders.
Last Sunday, I recounted that Bertha Levy Ochs, the mother of Times patriarch Adolph S. Ochs, supported the South and slavery. She was caught smuggling medicine to Confederates in a baby carriage and her brother Oscar joined the rebel army.
I have since learned that, according to a family history, Oscar Levy fought alongside two Mississippi cousins, meaning at least three members of Bertha’s family fought for secession.
Adolph Ochs’ own “Southern sympathies” were reflected in the content of the Chattanooga Times, the first newspaper he owned, and then The New York Times. The latter published an editorial in 1900 saying the Democratic Party, which Ochs supported, “may justly insist that the evils of negro suffrage were wantonly inflicted on them.”
Six years later, the Times published a glowing profile of Confederate President Jefferson Davis on the 100th anniversary of his birth, calling him “the great Southern leader.”
Ochs reportedly made contributions to rebel memorials, including $1,000 to the enormous Stone Mountain Memorial in Georgia that celebrates Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. He made the donation in 1924 so his mother, who died 16 years earlier, could be on the founders’ roll, adding in a letter that “Robert E. Lee was her idol.”

Republicans Start to Break Ranks with Trump
New York Times: “President Trump’s failure to contain the coronavirus outbreak and his refusal to promote clear public-health guidelines have left many senior Republicans despairing that he will ever play a constructive role in addressing the crisis, with some concluding they must work around Mr. Trump and ignore or even contradict his pronouncements.
“In recent days, some of the most prominent figures in the G.O.P. outside the White House have broken with Mr. Trump over issues like the value of wearing a mask in public and heeding the advice of health experts like Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, whom the president and other hard-right figures within the administration have subjected to caustic personal criticism….
“A handful of Republican lawmakers in the Senate have privately pressed the administration to bring back health briefings led by figures like Dr. Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx, who regularly updated the public during the spring until Mr. Trump upstaged them with his own briefing-room monologues. And in his home state of Kentucky last week, Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, broke with Mr. Trump on nearly every major issue related to the virus.” ______________

that's nice.
an exponential increase in testing would tend to yield that result, just like an exponential increase in IQ testing would yield a dramatic rise in the number of idiots like you, BWAA, and the alky.
once again, the smart folks are focused on hospitalizations and deaths.
AXIOS: “America spent the spring building a bridge to August, spending trillions and shutting down major parts of society. The expanse was to be a bent coronavirus curve, and the other side some semblance of normal, where kids would go to school and their parents to work.

U.S. Companies Lose Hope for [TRUMP'S PROMISED] Quick Rebound
Wall Street Journal: “Big U.S. companies are deciding March and April moves won’t cut it. The fierce resurgence of Covid-19 cases and related business shutdowns are dashing hopes of a quick recovery, prompting businesses from airlines to restaurant chains to again shift their strategies and staffing or ramp up previous plans to do so. They are turning furloughs into permanent layoffs, de-emphasizing their core businesses and downsizing production indefinitely.”

Wall Street Journal: “Some 25 million Americans are set to lose $600 a week each in federal unemployment benefits at the end of the month, one of the thorniest issues Congress faces when it returns to Washington this week to consider another coronavirus relief bill.
“Many people view the payments as a lifeline, and analysts say the $15 billion a week in federal spending has provided vital support to an economy staggering from the effects of the pandemic. But critics say the money, paid on top of regular state jobless benefits, discourages some Americans from returning to work as businesses try to reopen, holding back the recovery.” ______________
America’s Hidden Economic Crisis
Politico: “Millions of Americans who managed to hold onto their jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic have seen their incomes drop as employers slashed wages and hours to weather what they expected to be a short-term shutdown.
“Now, with the virus raging and the recession deepening, those cuts that were meant to be temporary could turn permanent — or even pave the way for further layoffs. That could portend deep damage to the labor market and the economy because so many workers who have kept their jobs have less money to spend than a few months ago.”
Wall Street Journal: “The U.S. labor-market recovery is losing momentum as a surge in coronavirus cases triggers heightened employer uncertainty and consumer caution. Job openings in July are down from last month across the U.S., and Google searches for ‘file for unemployment’ are creeping up.”
AXIOS: Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) blamed widespread delays in coronavirus test results on the national testing system, calling it “a complete disgrace.”
Said Polis: “The national testing scene is a complete disgrace. So every test we send out to private lab partners nationally — Quest, LabCorp — seven days, eight days, nine days, maybe six days if we’re lucky. Almost useless from a epidemiological or even diagnostic perspective.” ___________

Biden Eyes GOP Supporters While Trump Focuses on Base
ASSOCIATED PRESS: “In the four months since Joe Biden effectively won the Democratic presidential nomination, he has focused on consolidating the party’s divergent and often warring factions. As the closing stretch of the campaign nears, that effort will expand to include Republicans disaffected with President Trump.
“Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican and frequent Trump critic, has been approached and is expected to speak at the Democratic National Convention on Biden’s behalf next month… Kasich is among a handful of high-profile Republicans likely to become more active in supporting Biden in the fall.

John Lewis’s America Wall Street Journal editorial:
“We had differences with Lewis on policy, not least his opposition to the 1996 welfare reform when he predicted a catastrophe for the poor. The reform, passed by a GOP Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton, is the most successful bipartisan reform of the last 30 years.
“But these differences are trivial compared to the significance of Lewis’s life and contribution to America. He famously forgave George Wallace, Alabama’s segregationist Governor in the 1960s, in an example of reconciliation all of us should emulate. He never gave up his belief in nonviolence, despite the violence used against him. He never lost faith in the capacity of American democracy, despite its flaws, to strive for a more perfect union.” ______________
Disturbingly, despite the plethora of historical examples of socialist brutality, similar behaviors and ideologies are emerging in America’s left. Many of our leaders, like Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), are calling for an unprecedented redistribution of wealth. Others, like media pundit Chris Cuomo, are justifying the immoral theft and anarchic destruction of private property in the name of racial justice. Meanwhile, minority business owners like Lucy Hosley, who worked their whole lives to honestly achieve the American Dream, bear the costs.
This past Saturday, Lilith Sinclair, the leader of Portland Black Lives Matter, stated the group was “organizing not only for the abolition of the militarized police state but also the abolition of the United States of America as we know it.” These Marxists not only demand the abolition of the police whom minorities want to protect their communities, but also wish to erode the protection of private property, freedom of thought, and religious liberty. For centuries, these core values have motivated millions of people to come to America and gave them the security to innovate, work, and prosper.
It is not easy to succeed in a capitalist society. The experiences of my grandfathers demonstrate that, while difficult, achieving this success was possible through determination and ingenuity. After the Korean War, my maternal grandfather started a small business, as a craftsman and mechanic, manufacturing water valves and even making furniture for the Korea University Law School. He also served as an elder at YoungAhm Presbyterian Church. My paternal grandfather took on all sorts of jobs to ensure his family was taken care of. He owned a bicycle shop, made Western clothing as a tailor, and tended his land as a farmer. Neither of my grandfathers retired. Both of them worked hard each day, knowing that capitalism would allow their children and grandchildren to pursue greater ambitions.
There are clear challenges and problems our nation must deal with. And of course, we will have to work to ensure that all Americans have the opportunities to succeed. However, socialism is not the solution. Socialist revolutions have deprived millions of people of their basic freedoms and opportunities to succeed. Capitalism, on the other hand, has allowed me, the grandson of two war refugees, to immigrate to this country, attend Cornell University, and tell the story of two remarkable men who fled murderous oppression in pursuit of freedom.

“It has since become horrifyingly clear that the experts missed something. The supposed world leader is in fact a viral petri dish of uncontained infection. Sweaty Fox Interview Shows Trump’s Chances Melting July 20, 2020 at 9:14 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Chicago Police Statistics Destroy Black Lives Matter Narrative
A big-picture view will help introduce us to the data. In 2018, the most recent year available, according to the police department itself, Chicago centers fielded over 3 million civilian 911 calls for support. In a city with just over 2.5 million residents, that's an average of over one per person per year. As high as that number is, even more incredible is that in 2007, they received 5 million calls, or two for every resident that year.
While not every call resulted in a direct police dispatch, the city nonetheless recorded over 3 million police-civilian interactions in 2018. Of those contacts, 85,000 resulted in arrests. Put another way, only one out of every thirty-five contacts police initiate ends in an arrest.
All of this is innocuous enough. What about police brutality and violence?
According to the reports, police had to respond with additional force 309 times. For all of the media coverage of police firing willy-nilly on suspects, the entire Chicago police force — a group over 12,000 strong — discharged their firearms only 43 times. Most of the use of force was with a taser.
It is this statistic on firearm use that deserves a second look. In the course of making 3 million contacts and conducting 85,000 arrests, only 43 firearm discharges were necessary. In other words, the odds of the Chicago police firing upon a person after making contact with him is 0.0014%. It would be like placing quarters end to end for an entire mile and trying to have someone guess which one you're looking at. And that quarter would be threatening your life, so it more rightly deserved to be identified.
Of the 43 firearm discharges, not every shot fired was lethal. In fact, the entire force averaged 10 civilian deaths per year between 2013 and 2018, an amazing decline in use of force from years past. While that would still lead protesters to suggest that each death was excessive, since 2007, just one of the 400 deaths by police was found to be unjustified. Most fatal encounters end after a suspect displays a commensurate use of force against police or other civilians.
One of the great lies told by Democrats, Black Lives Matter, and the media is that police represent systemic racism. The narrative goes that instead of wanting to make their communities safer, they sign up for the thankless role and low pay because it allows them to hunt down blacks. Because this is never reported, it might surprise you to know that between 2007 and 2016, over 95% of all Chicago police officers never even fired their weapon. Perhaps those 95% of officers missed the day of training on "How to Be a Systemic Racist."
What is not laughable is the fact that along with the uncertainty that comes with making public contact comes the very real physical danger police put themselves in. In the course of making public contacts, the department reported that 1,242 officers were injured during use of force encounters. Unjustified shootings? A complete myth. Of those, 337 faced severe assault. In light of this information, it's astounding that more use of force did not occur. It certainly would have been warranted.
It has been said before and bears repeating. The brave men and women who put on the uniform every day, particularly in an extremely volatile and dangerous city like Chicago, deserve our utmost respect. The black community performed a boycott of sorts on July 2 to remind us of their economic buying power, but life generally went on as normal. If the Chicago police took a day off, the result would be pure death and chaos, really affecting black lives. It's time to get priorities in order.
It's time for Black Lives Matter to thank a police officer for making black lives matter. https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/07/chicago_police_statistics_destroy_black_lives_matter_narrative.html
Oh dear. I have been called "never a good person" by the guy who called Obama a black monkey and his wife a cheap Chicago whore and called John Lewis a racist A-hole.
What was, to many of the people who knew Trump well, much more confounding was that he had managed to win this election, and arrive at this ultimate accomplishment, wholly lacking what in some obvious sense must be the main requirement of the job, what neuroscientists would call executive function. He had somehow won the race for president, but his brain seemed incapable of performing what would be essential tasks in his new job. He had no ability to plan and organize and pay attention and switch focus; he had never been able to tailor his behavior to what the goals at hand reasonably required. On the most basic level, he simply could not link cause and effect.
“It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything.… Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”
President Donald Trump’s failure to contain the coronavirus outbreak and his refusal to promote clear public-health guidelines have left many senior Republicans despairing that he will ever play a constructive role in addressing the crisis, with some concluding they must work around Trump and ignore or even contradict his pronouncements.
In recent days, some of the most prominent figures in the GOP outside the White House have broken with Trump over issues like the value of wearing a mask in public and heeding the advice of health experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci, whom the president and other hard-right figures within the administration have subjected to caustic personal criticism.
They appear to be spurred by several overlapping forces, including deteriorating conditions in their own states, Trump’s seeming indifference to the problem and the approach of a presidential election in which Trump is badly lagging his Democratic challenger, Joe Biden, in the polls.
Once-reticent Republican governors are now issuing orders on mask-wearing and business restrictions that run counter to Trump’s demands. Some of those governors have been holding late-night phone calls among themselves to trade ideas and grievances; they have sought out partners in the administration other than the president, including Vice President Mike Pence, who, despite echoing Trump in public, is seen by governors as far more attentive to the continuing disaster.
“The president got bored with it,” David Carney, an adviser to the Texas governor, Greg Abbott, a Republican, said of the pandemic. He noted that Abbott directs his requests to Pence, with whom he speaks two to three times a week.
A handful of Republican lawmakers in the Senate have privately pressed the administration to bring back health briefings led by figures like Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx, who regularly updated the public during the spring until Trump upstaged them with his own briefing-room monologues. And in his home state of Kentucky last week, Sen. Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, broke with Trump on nearly every major issue related to the virus.
McConnell stressed the importance of mask-wearing, expressed “total” confidence in Fauci and urged Americans to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that Trump has ignored or dismissed.
“The straight talk here that everyone needs to understand is: This is not going away until we get a vaccine,” McConnell said Wednesday, contradicting Trump’s rosy predictions.
The result is a quiet but widening breach between Trump and leading figures in his party, as the virus burns through major political battlegrounds in the South and the West, like in the states of Arizona, Texas and Georgia.
Amid mounting alarm in a huge portion of the country, Trump has at times appeared to inhabit a different universe, incorrectly predicting the outbreak would quickly dissipate and falsely claiming the spread of the virus was simply a function of increased testing. With his impatient demands and decrees, Trump has disrupted efforts to mitigate the crisis while effectively sidelining himself from participating in those efforts.
The emerging rifts in Trump’s party have been slow to develop, but they have rapidly deepened since a new surge in coronavirus cases began to sweep the country last month.
In the final days of June, the governor of Utah, Gary Herbert, a Republican, joined other governors on a conference call with Pence and urged the administration to do more to combat a sense of “complacency” about the virus. Herbert said it would help states like his own if Trump and Pence were to encourage mask-wearing on a national scale, according to a recording of the call.
“As a responsible citizen, if you care about your neighbor, if you love your neighbor, let us show the respect necessary by wearing a mask,” Herbert said, offering language to Pence and adding, “That’s where I think you and the president can help us out.”
Pence told Herbert the suggestion was “duly noted” and said that mask-wearing would be a “very consistent message” from the administration.
But no such appeal was ever forthcoming from Trump, who asserted days later that the virus would “just disappear.”
Trump has offered only hedged recommendations on wearing masks and has rarely worn one himself in public; in a Fox interview that was broadcast Sunday, the president said he would not issue a national mask order, because Americans deserve “a certain freedom” on the matter.
Some of the states where outbreaks have worsened most in recent weeks are led by Republicans who spent months avoiding stringent lockdowns, in some cases because state leaders were uneasy about creating space between themselves and a president of their own party who rejected such steps. That dynamic has been particularly pronounced in Southern states like Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, where governors have either continued to resist tough public-health restrictions or have only recently and partially embraced them.
A few Republicans have grown more open with their misgivings about Trump’s approach, including Gov. Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas, who said this month that he would require people to wear masks at any Trump rallies in his state. After issuing a broad mask mandate last week, Hutchinson said on the ABC program “This Week” on Sunday that an “example needs to be set by our national leadership” on mask-wearing.
Gov. Mike DeWine of Ohio, a Republican, in an interview on “Meet the Press” on NBC, did not answer directly when asked if he had confidence in Trump’s leadership in the crisis. DeWine said he had confidence “in this administration” and praised Pence for “doing an absolutely phenomenal job.”
Judd Deere, a White House spokesman, rejected criticisms of Trump’s approach.
“Any suggestion that the president is not working around the clock to protect the health and safety of all Americans, lead the whole-of-government response to this pandemic, including expediting vaccine development, and rebuild our economy is utterly false,” Deere said in a statement.
As bad as that incident was, it is not nearly as bad as Chuck Todd ignoring the controversy and the correction to repeatedly air the same misleading quote. NBC was fully aware that the clip was not just misleading but that it conveyed the opposite of what actually was stated in the press conference. Todd showed a clips of people denying the need to wear masks and stated that Trump is just ignoring the risks to push to open schools. He then showed the clip of McEnany that is edited to cut off her reference to scientific data, making it sound that she was saying that the science was not important. The clip was played a second time later in the show.
If an ill-considered tweet is a venial sin for Acosta at CNN, this is a mortal sin for Todd at NBC. This was no careless tweet, but an airing made long after the false account was flagged during the CNN controversy. It is another example of how the echo-journalistic model not only undermines the faith in the media but actually undermines the effort to fully inform the public on the pandemic. Rather than focus on legitimate questions about the Administration’s efforts, Todd instead knowingly played a false gotcha clip.
I have previously criticized Todd for omitting facts that did not fit an attack on the Administration as well as his repeated disparaging comments on Trump supporters. These is a fundamental change in the media where such shaping of facts to fit a narrative is now commonplace. Indeed, it is essential to maintain an echo-journalistic model. The result however is the lost of reliable sources to unbiased news. Many disagree with this President and this White House, but they still want to receive an accurate account of what is being said and done in Washington. Instead, they are given news tailored to the preference of hosts who see facts as the a type of clay to be shaped into a preferred image for public consumption. There comes a point where you are not long informing but indoctrinating the public.
BWAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I guess he really has nothing to do, just like you asshole.....Maybe Turley can complain about the latest group of lies concerning the virus and his handling of it....Now that would be fun to read and for you to post!!!!!!!

Being interviewed by Faux Spews, Agolf Twitler was asked about renaming our military bases that were named after Confederates. There are ten of them...Fort Hill, Camp Beauregard, Fort Benning, Fort Bragg, Fort Gordon, Fort Hood, Fort Lee, Fort Polk, Fort Rucker. and Fort Pickett..
Naturally, Benedict Arnold Trump is against renaming these bases, because it would inflame his racist, rebel flag-waving, "Jews will not replace us", "blood and soil," the "South Shall Rise again" base of idiots.
Agolf Twitler made one of his typical racist remarks in his answer, saying..."who would we name them after...Al Sharpton?"
There is a hell of a lot of people that could be honored by naming military bases after them...
How about George S Patton?
Douglas McArthur?
Omar Bradley?
Alvin York?
Audie Murphy?
Theodore Roosevelt?
I like Fort Adams, because it could encompass several medal of honor recipients, like John & James Adams from the Civil War (they fought for the Union btw). There was also William Adams from the Vietnam War, and Stanley Adams from the Korean War.
The most decorated Vet of all time is Robert Howard.
My point is, there are hundreds of people worthy of having a base named after them, and the bases would sure be better served by not honoring Traitors to this Nation.
It's past time to rid ourselves of the garbage of our society that chose to take up arms against this Nation. The sooner we do so, the quicker we can move on.
If Republicans Are Ever Going To Turn On Trump, This Might Be The Moment By Lee Drutman
Filed under 2020 Election
While the past few days have felt unprecedented in almost all respects, they’ve been familiar in at least one way: President Trump has once again done something widely viewed as outrageous. In this case, his administration had law enforcement officials clear a path for Trump to visit a nearby church, leading to protesters being tear gassed outside the White House.
And, as has often been the case when Trump draws criticism, many GOP senators have evaded questions about the violence and Trump’s role in it. “I don’t have any reaction to it. I haven’t seen footage.” “I didn’t follow, I’m sorry.” And even, “He has moments. But I mean, as you know, it lasts generally as long as the next tweet.”
Yet maybe this time is a little different. Even before the protesters were driven away from the White House, we’d begun to hear a number of strong condemnations of both Trump and how he was handling the protests across the country — some from familiar corners and others from more surprising sources, like military leaders.
On the usual suspects list there’s Sens. Mitt Romney, Susan Collins, Ben Sasse and Lisa Murkowski (although Murkowski avoided saying much about the protests specifically, she did say she is “struggling” with whether to vote for Trump in 2020). But some current and former members of the president’s inner circle have also criticized him. Most notably, former Secretary of Defense James Mattis, who resigned in protest in December 2018, issued a scathing rebuke of Trump’s actions on Wednesday night, writing, “We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution.” (He also said, “The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values — our values as people and our values as a nation.”) Current Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has also objected to using active-duty troops to respond to mostly peaceful protests.
Former President George W. Bush also weighed in on the side of the protesters, writing, “The only way to see ourselves in a true light is to listen to the voices of so many who are hurting and grieving. Those who set out to silence those voices do not understand the meaning of America.” Bush didn’t name Trump directly, but it’s still a telling rebuke from a former president of the same political party.
This is one of those rare moments of uncertainty when it’s possible that the wall of Republican support sheltering Trump finally crumbles. It is still unlikely to happen, but as I’ve written before, if it does happen, it will happen suddenly.
Political science helps us understand why this is the case. In my previous article, I cited political scientist Timur Kuran’s classic work, “Private Truth, Public Lies: The Social Consequences of Preference Falsification,” to help explain why:
[Kuran] argues that political regimes can persist despite being unpopular, which is why a government overthrow, when it does come, can often seem so sudden.
Consider the Arab Spring, which began with one Tunisian vendor, who protested being mistreated by government officials by setting himself on fire. His death triggered a series of events, and a month later, the long-unpopular authoritarian Tunisian president fled the country after more than 23 years in power. A few weeks later, protesters in Egypt ousted their own long-serving authoritarian leader. What looked like ironclad power collapsed in a matter of weeks. Why?
Kuran argues in his book that protests need a critical mass of supporters in order to force change. The logic is that there’s safety in numbers, so if multiple citizens rise up in protest of a regime, it signals that it’s OK to protest — which can cause decades-old regimes to collapse all at once.
Of course, so far the criticism against Trump has mostly come from retired generals or members of Congress who already had a history of publicly chastising the president. But as conflict escalates over the protests, more and more elected Republicans may start to speak up.
After all, Trump’s continued unpopularity threatens to weigh down Republicans’ chances of holding on to the Senate or taking back the House, and head-to-head polling shows Biden holds a steady lead against Trump in the general election. Is it possible, then, that Republican leaders might privately be wondering if they’d be better off with somebody else on the ticket in November? With unemployment at historic levels, protests spreading and the coronavirus pandemic lingering, Trump faces an increasingly difficult path to reelection.
The just-released @CNN Poll of Polls on the average of the five most recent and recognized national polls has @JoeBiden leading @realDonaldTrump 52-40 percent. The five polls are: @FoxNews @washingtonpost/@ABC @QuinnipiacPoll @NBCNews/@WSJ and @MonmouthPoll

July 20, 2020. TRUMP: “Cases are up, because we have the best testing in the world and we have the most testing.” — Fox interview. THE FACTS: IT’S NOT TRUE that infections are high only because the U.S. diagnostic testing has increased. TRUMP’S OWN TOP PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS HAVE SHOT DOWN THIS LINE OF THINKING. Infections are rising because people are infecting each other more than they were when most everyone was hunkered down.
· Increased testing does contribute to the higher numbers, but there’s more to it. Testing in fact has uncovered a worrisome trend: The percentage of tests coming back positive for the virus is on the rise across nearly the entire country. That’s a clear demonstration that sickness is spreading and THAT THE U.S. TESTING SYSTEM IS FALLING SHORT.
· “A high rate of positive tests indicates a government is only testing the sickest patients who seek out medical attention AND IS NOT CASTING A WIDE ENOUGH NET,” says the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center, a primary source of updated information on the pandemic.
POLICE
· TRUMP: “Biden wants to defund the police.” — Fox interview.
· THE FACTS: To be clear, BIDEN HAS NOT JOINED the call of protesters who demanded “defund the police” after George Floyd’s killing in Minneapolis. He’s proposed more money for police, conditioned to improvements in their practices.
· “I DON’T SUPPORT DEFUNDING THE POLICE,“ BIDEN SAID LAST MONTH IN A CBS INTERVIEW. But he said he would support tying federal aid to police based on whether “they meet certain basic standards of decency, honorableness and, in fact, are able to demonstrate they can protect the community, everybody in the community.”
· Biden’s criminal justice agenda, released long before he became the Democrats’ presumptive presidential nominee, proposes more federal money for “training that is needed to avert tragic, unjustifiable deaths” and hiring more officers to ensure that departments are racially and ethnically reflective of the populations they serve.
· Specifically, he calls for a $300 million infusion into existing federal community policing grant programs. That adds up to more money for police, not defunding law enforcement.
Trump continued to downplay the COVID-19 pandemic that has infected over 3.7 million Americans and killed over 140,500. Trump said that he will ‘be right eventually’ in that the virus will ‘disappear... I can't wait for him to disappear November 3, 2020 #VoteBiden2020
"STOP OPPRESSING US!" shouted Black Lives Matter as cities burned and millions of dollars of donations poured into their bank accounts. You know, they don't look oppressed:
-Most of the media is supporting them
-Most of corporate America is supporting them
-They have money coming out the wazoo.
And if you work for Cisco, you can get fired for dissing them.
That's how oppressed they are.
BLM has taken crybullying to a whole new level.
The following mayors have demonstrated by their actions that they are entirely supportive of the goals of BLM/Antifa:
Ted Wheeler, Portland, OR Jenny Durkan, Seattle, WA Lori Lightfoot, Chicago, IL Bill de Blasio, New York City, NY
It must suck to live in those cities, watching them burn while your mayor cheers on the arsonists.
Meanwhile, de Blasio's priorities are whack:
"Even as violent crime and deadly shootings in New York soar, Mayor Bill de Blasio has reportedly assigned no less than 27 cops working in shifts to protect a Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower."
In progressive ideology, there are basically two groups of people, the oppressors and the oppressed. The BLM/Antifa crybully mob likes to portray itself as the oppressed, a struggling oppressed minority. Most of the media appears to have bought this line.
But here's the thing: if all you have are the oppressors and the oppressed, then you can't really be against oppression *as such*. Your real beef against oppression is not the inherent injustice of oppression, but just that the wrong people are doing it. BLM/Antifa want to be the oppressors. They think it's their turn now.
THE HILL: “President Trump on Monday said he will resume giving regular coronavirus briefings this week, reviving a practice that is controversial among some aides as infections surge across the United States.”
Said Trump: “I was doing them and we had a lot of people watching, record numbers watching in the history of cable television, and there’s never been anything like it.”
The first one will be tomorrow at 5 p.m. ET.

REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR Suggests It’s Fine If Kids Get Coronavius
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) “indicated both certainty and acceptance that the coronavirus will spread among children when they return to school this fall,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Said Parson: “These kids have got to get back to school…. And if they do get COVID-19, which they will — and they will when they go to school — they’re not going to the hospitals…. They’re going to go home and they’re going to get over it.”
He added: “We gotta move on. We can’t just let this thing stop us in our tracks.” _____________

LOL. TRUMP HAS SCREWED UP SO BADLY HE CAN'T EVEN WIN ON "LAW AND ORDER."
Polls Show Biden Is the ‘Law and Order’ Candidate
A new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds Joe Biden leading Donald Trump on the issue of “crime and safety” by nine points, 50% to 41%.
Aaron Blake: “The finding echoes what we’ve seen from other pollsters. A Pew Research Center poll from mid-June showed Biden led Trump 46% to 43% on which candidate could ‘effectively handle law enforcement and criminal justice issues.’
A Kaiser Family Foundation poll from late June directly employed the ‘law and order’ phrasing, finding voters trusted Biden to handle maintaining it by a 51-41 margin — virtually identical to the Post-ABC poll.
“To the extent that there is a law-and-order candidate at this point, it appears to be BIDEN.”
1/3 IMPORTANT...this comes from a friend on the frontline working on a Vaccine. “An important brand new finding with Significant ramifications on our collective view of Covid: new study in prestigious journal PNAS (July 7th) shows something (generally) unexpected.
2/3 That prior vaccination against Tuberculosis (bacteria, unrelated to Covid virus) OFFERS PARTIAL PROTECTION against Covid. It was a methodical statistical evaluation including countries with high and low Tb vaccination rates. Could explain why some countries have
3/3 lower rates (eg Africa and Brazil have high TB vaccination rates and lower Covid). TIMELY: Chris Wallace just asked the President about Brazil’s lower rates - neither of them know this finding yet. It would be good for the everyone to know.”

“In Trump’s 2011 CPAC address he specifically calls for a relaxation of immigration restrictions for Europeans … that we should re-create an America that was far more stable and more beautiful.…Trump is now requesting that all mammograms be cancelled so he can claim that breast cancer has been eradicated in the USA..LOL
So, the orange shitstain told Chris Wallace of Fox News yesterday that he "will have to see" whether or not he will accept the results of the November election. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in an interview on MSNBC's Morning Joe program today, said she didn't want to talk about whether we will have to "fumigate him out of there" if he refuses to leave the White House in January, as it's just another distraction from the many problems besetting the country, such as police brutality, an out-of-control pandemic, and a tanking economy. I think Trump, his bobblehead sidekick Pence, and all of his toadies in the Senate, need to be booted out.
The Trump administration is preparing to roll out a plan this week to send military-style federal assault squads already in Portland, Oregon, into other cities, warned White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who only named locations with Democratic mayors.
Attorney General William Barr is “weighing in on that” with acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf, Meadows said Sunday on Fox News.
“You’ll see something rolled out this week, as we start to go in and make sure that the communities — whether it’s Chicago or Portland or Milwaukee or someplace across the heartland — we need to make sure their communities are safe,” he added.
"The suspect was later found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound near Liberty, New York, multiple law enforcement sources told ABC News. A municipal employee discovered the body in a car.
The deceased suspect was an attorney who had a case before Judge Salas in 2015, sources said. A FedEx package addressed to Judge Salas was discovered in the car, sources said."
A leaked email read from the White House staff in 2016
It’s worse than you can imagine. An idiot surrounded by clowns. Trump won’t read anything—not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers; nothing. He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored. And his staff is no better. Kushner is an entitled baby who knows nothing. Bannon is an arrogant prick who thinks he’s smarter than he is. Trump is less a person than a collection of terrible traits. No one will survive the first year but his family. I hate the work, but feel I need to stay because I’m the only person there with a clue what he’s doing. The reason so few jobs have been filled is that they only accept people who pass ridiculous purity tests, even for midlevel policy-making jobs where the people will never see the light of day. I am in a constant state of shock and horror.
So in a nano second, the goat fucker went from stupid to absurd with his claim about trumps debate....BTW....his performance with a friendly Chris Wallace yesterday will be preserved in history as the worst interview ever performed by ANY president!!!!! Wonder if Wallace will ever get another interview or will Hannity will become the soft ball pitcher for fox????????? BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
A handful of Republican lawmakers in the Senate have privately pressed the administration to bring back health briefings led by figures like Dr. Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx, who regularly updated the public during the spring until Mr. Trump upstaged them with his own briefing-room monologues. And in his home state of Kentucky last week, Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, broke with Mr. Trump on nearly every major issue related to the virus.
Mr. McConnell stressed the importance of mask-wearing, expressed “total” confidence in Dr. Fauci and urged Americans to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that Mr. Trump has ignored or dismissed. “The straight talk here that everyone needs to understand is: This is not going away until we get a vaccine,” Mr. McConnell said on Wednesday, contradicting Mr. Trump’s rosy predictions.
Even Moscow Mitch McConnell is breaking from the President.

John Kasich, the former Republican governor of Ohio who opposed President Donald Trump for the 2016 GOP nomination, is reportedly planning to speak at next month’s Democratic National Convention in support of Joe Biden, who is currently far ahead of the president in polling.

Yep and mayors of these cities show us how the liberals want to run the country. Crack their fucking heads
There have been peaceful protests here in Detroit every night for at least a month peaceful protesters don't need to be arrested stay the hell away from Detroit Trump
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that President Donald Trump, “Whether he knows it yet or not, he will be leaving” the White House after the 2020 presidential election. Trump in a Fox News interview refused to commit to accepting the election results. He argued that mail-in voting, which some states want to expand due to the coronavirus, would “rig” the results. Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has said that Trump “is going to try to steal this election.”
Hitler’s ‘Brown Shirts’ Were Oddly Similar To Antifa’s Tactics And Methods Today- The Rise of Antifa Nazism
“I admit that I have always harbored an exaggerated view of self-importance — to put it bluntly, I fancied myself as some kind of god.” This opinion was confirmed in 1993, when George Soros told the British newspaper The Independent, “It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out.”
As the mainstream media becomes more militant as their influence over the American polulance wanes, they have spent over a year attempting to encourage Antifa groups violence by justifying and excusing their behavior with claims that Antifa groups are standing up against “White Supremacists,” while they label anyone that disagrees with their communist ideology and violent methods, as a “neo-nazi.”
The truth, in contrast, is that Antifa uses the same methods and tactics that Hitler’s “Brown Shirts” did.
ANTIFA USES ADOLPH HITLER & NAZI PARTY QUOTES & METHODS
Keeping in mind that Antifa uses violent methods to suppress free speech by conservatives for political purposes, which are fascist methods, and the same methods used by Hitler’s ‘Brown Shirts,’ while claiming to be anti-fascists, what is even more disturbing, heard in the video below is that an Antifa member, speaking to crowd which includes RefuseFascism.org members (seen on the back of a shirt at the 7:36 minute mark), the speaker who claims to be a U.S. military veteran, directly quotes a number of statements to incite the crowd, to justify their “anti-capitalism” ideology.
The first quote the speaker reads off of his device, word for word, is “We are socialists. We are enemies, deadly enemies, of today’s capitalist economic system with its exploitation of the economically weak, its unfair wage system, its immoral way of judging the worth of human beings in terms of their wealth and their money, instead of their responsibility and their performance, and we are determined to destroy this system whatever happens!”
The quote itself is not surprising coming from a group that espouses communist, socialist, and anti-capitalism ideology, but what the speaker never bothered mentioning to the crowd, is that the quote is attributed Gregor Strasser, a prominent member of the Nazi party until he became a rival to Adolph Hitler and was murdered in 1934. (Some also attribute this quote to Hitler himself)
The next quotes the Antifa speaker uses are directly from Adolf Hitler, which includes “Benefit to the community precedes benefit to the individual. But the state should retain supervision and each property owner should consider himself appointed by the state. It is his duty not to use his property against the interests of others among his own people. This is the crucial matter.”
What the speaker left out of that quote, was the ending “The Third Reich will always retain the right to control the owners of property.” He begins the next quote, by neglecting to use the words “Third Reich” and instead replaces it with the “The “American Nation” will always retain its right to control to control the owners of property,” in an attempt to conflate Hitler’s terminology with American capitalism.
He then goes on to use six more Adolf Hitler quotes.
Donald Trump’s tweets, often delivered between midnight and dawn, are the twenty-first century’s technological embodiment of Hitler’s free plastic radios,”
Both blame others and divide on racial lines. As Neuborne notes, “Hitler used his single-frequency radios to wax hysterical to his adoring base about his pathological racial and religious fantasies glorifying Aryans and demonizing Jews, blaming Jews (among other racial and religious scapegoats) for German society’s ills.” That is comparable to “Trump’s tweets and public statements, whether dealing with black-led demonstrations against police violence, white-led racist mob violence, threats posed by undocumented aliens, immigration policy generally, protests by black and white professional athletes, college admission policies, hate speech, even response to hurricane damage in Puerto Rico,” he says. Again and again, Trump uses “racially tinged messages calculated to divide whites from people of color.”
4. Both relentlessly demonize opponents. “Hitler’s radio harangues demonized his domestic political opponents, calling them parasites, criminals, cockroaches, and various categories of leftist scum,” Neuborne notes. “Trump’s tweets and speeches similarly demonize his political opponents. Trump talks about the country being ‘infested’ with dangerous aliens of color. He fantasizes about jailing Hillary Clinton, calls Mexicans rapists, refers to ‘shithole countries,’ degrades anyone who disagrees with him, and dreams of uprooting thousands of allegedly disloyal bureaucrats in the State Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, the FBI, and the CIA, who he calls ‘the deep state’ and who, he claims, are sabotaging American greatness.”
5. They unceasingly attack objective truth. “Both Trump and Hitler maintained a relentless assault on the very idea of objective truth,” he continues. “Each began the assault by seeking to delegitimize the mainstream press. Hitler quickly coined the epithet Lügenpresse (literally ‘lying press’) to denigrate the mainstream press. Trump uses a paraphrase of Hitler’s lying press epithet—‘fake news’—cribbed, no doubt, from one of Hitler’s speeches. For Trump, the mainstream press is a ‘lying press’ that publishes ‘fake news.’” Hitler attacked his opponents as spreading false information to undermine his positions, Neuborne says, just as Trump has attacked “elites” for disseminating false news, “especially his possible links to the Kremlin.”
Roger is a shell of his former self. On Yahoo Soars Boards he bragged of cheating on this 1st wife, drinking away thousands of dollars a year and driving a PT Cruiser.
6 They relentlessly attack mainstream media. Trump’s assaults on the media echo Hitler’s, Neuborne says, noting that he “repeatedly attacks the ‘failing New York Times,’ leads crowds in chanting ‘CNN sucks,’ [and] is personally hostile to most reporters.” He cites the White House’s refusal to fly the flag at half-mast after the murder of five journalists in Annapolis in June 2018, Trump’s efforts to punish CNN by blocking a merger of its corporate parent, and trying to revoke federal Postal Service contracts held by Amazon, which was founded by Jeff Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post.
7. Their attacks on truth include science. Neuborne notes, “Both Trump and Hitler intensified their assault on objective truth by deriding scientific experts, especially academics who question Hitler’s views on race or Trump’s views on climate change, immigration, or economics. For both Trump and Hitler, the goal is (and was) to eviscerate the very idea of objective truth, turning everything into grist for a populist jury subject to manipulation by a master puppeteer. In both Trump’s and Hitler’s worlds, public opinion ultimately defines what is true and what is false.”
8. Their lies blur reality—and supporters spread them. “Trump’s pathological penchant for repeatedly lying about his behavior can only succeed in a world where his supporters feel free to embrace Trump’s ‘alternative facts’ and treat his hyperbolic exaggerations as the gospel truth,” Neuborne says. “Once Hitler had delegitimized the mainstream media by a series of systematic attacks on its integrity, he constructed a fawning alternative mass media designed to reinforce his direct radio messages and enhance his personal power. Trump is following the same path, simultaneously launching bitter attacks on the mainstream press while embracing the so-called alt-right media, co-opting both Sinclair Broadcasting and the Rupert Murdoch–owned Fox Broadcasting Company as, essentially, a Trump Broadcasting Network.”
Chuck Todd just played (twice) the misleading quote of White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany saying "The science should not stand in the way of this." Todd is continuing to use this false narrative on Meet the Press despite the correction at CNN.
dems are big on making up lies and then repeating them.
Senator Rand Paul @RandPaul Paging Dr. Fauci! According to JHU, NY’s per capita death rate is more than 2X greater than Italy Spain & Britain & more than 8X worse than Florida & 10X worse than Texas. For you to say NY got it done correctly disregards the facts & calls your judgement into question.
Richard Spencer, is becoming the most famous neo-Nazi in America since George Lincoln Rockwell, and he represents the white supremacist movement who the President has to keep happy.
"The news agency, which puts out an annual “style book” listing how words are to be used, also recently said that the word “black” should be written as “Black” when referring to African Americans. But on Monday, the AP said the word “white” should not be uppercased when referring to Caucasian people."

Wait, Roger a few days ago said Trump was wrong to target Antifa as a Terrorist group. The never ever been in a debate class Alky stated that "Antifa does not exist".
Yet, today, that same ass🤡 stated Antifa does exist.
Richard Spencer, is becoming the most famous neo-Nazi in America since George Lincoln Rockwell, and he represents the white supremacist movement who the President has to keep happy.
oh, THAT must be why CNN had Spencer on as a guest.
CNN’s decision to give Spencer airtime was panned on social media Tuesday.
“You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group … There were people in that rally — and I looked the night before — if you look, there were people protesting very quietly the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. I’m sure in that group there were some bad ones. The following day it looked like they had some rough, bad people — neo-Nazis, white nationalists, whatever you want to call them. But you had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest, and very legally protest.”
Basement Biden Supports and Defends BLM. " What Defunding the Police Really Means
July 6, 2020
We know that police don’t keep us safe — and as long as we continue to pump money into our corrupt criminal justice system at the expense of housing, health, and education investments — we will never be truly safe.
That’s why we are calling to #DefundPolice and #InvestInCommunities — and in our new video, Black Lives Matter Managing Director Kailee Scales helps break down just how it works."😂
"No, I don't support defunding the police," the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said in an interview with CBS while in Houston to meet with the family of George Floyd, whose death last month as a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck set off nationwide protests. "I support conditioning federal aid to police based on whether or not they meet certain basic standards of decency and honorableness. And, in fact, are able to demonstrate they can protect the community and everybody in the community
A supervising video producer for Joe Biden's presidential campaign tweeted a meme in June that urged people to stop calling the police "pigs" -- but only because unlike the police, pigs are "highly intelligent and empathetic animals who would never racially profile you."
The videographer, Sara Pearl, also retweeted a user's comment that while "pigs are sweet, intelligent and compassionate," police officers are "monsters" who "don't deserve to be called pigs."
On June 1, Pearl tweeted simply, "#DefundPolice." Days later, she said Buffalo's police department should be "defunded immediately."
And, after several Dallas police officers were killed in 2016 by a sniper who "wanted to kill white people," Pearl dinged the National Rifle Association for tweeting its condolences in that case but not for prior shootings: "Of course they respond to the officers but not to the previous shootings :("
The Biden campaign did not reply to Fox News' request for comment, although the campaign confirmed it received the request for comment. Fox News also reached out to Pearl for comment. Pearl did not reply, but she deleted all of these tweets shortly afterward.
And my ball less wonder stretches his credibility to its limits based on his stupid opinion......Nice try slick.....BWAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Once again I expose the idiot ballz as the trumpian fraud he is!!!!!!!! If you only had a fucking brain!!!!!
Bernie-Biden platform calls for defunding or abolishing police, because there is none. It calls for increased funding for police departments that meet certain standards. Biden has called for redirecting some police funding for related programs like mental health counseling.”
“President Trump on Monday threatened to send federal law-enforcement officials into cities like New York and Chicago following his deployment of such forces to Portland, Oregon, over the weekend to crack down on protesters,” the Daily Beast reports.
Said Trump: “New York and Chicago and Philadelphia, Detroit, and Baltimore and all of these—Oakland is a mess—we are not going to let this happen in the country, all run by liberal Democrats. We’re going to have more federal law enforcement, that I can tell you.” __________________
Rand Paul Hits Trump for Sending Troops Into Cities
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voiced opposition to President Trump’s efforts to send federal law enforcement agents to Democratic-controlled cities.
Said Paul: “We cannot give up liberty for security. Local law enforcement can and should be handling these situations in our cities but there is no place for federal troops or unidentified federal agents rounding people up at will.”
Biden has called for redirecting some police funding for related programs like mental health counseling.”
because when there's a violent assault in progress that has the potential to lead to a really violent loss of life, that's when you call "Social Worker Man!"
Resuming Task Force Reports Isn’t Likely to Help Trump
Philip Bump: “From late February until mid-April, President Trump and the White House coronavirus task force held near-daily briefings on the scope of the pandemic and the government’s response. During that period, Trump’s approval ratings on his handling of the virus were significantly higher than they are now, so it’s not surprising that the White House would seek to resume them.
“Except that Trump’s approval ratings at the time were higher not because of the briefings but because of his actions — and the downward trend in his approval began as he began to play down the pandemic’s seriousness. What’s more, Americans don’t trust Trump to provide accurate information in the first place.”
WE TRUST FAUCI. WE DO NOT TRUST GENRALISSIMO TRUMP.
And my ballz thinks trump is a leader!!!!! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Seems to me the ball less wonder thinks 140k dead americans are just minor damage of his genius!!!!! LOLOLOLOL

Red Bull just reminded their ‘wokest’ employees who calls the shots in a total massacre of “social justice warrior” employees.
Not only were the top two North American executives fired, but so were entire marketing teams and “culture” teams that were dedicated to pushing the lie of systemic racism.
Red Bull has just shown the way forward for all who want to prevent a total Marxist-style takeover of business and government in America. There is no appeasing these people, the only way forward is to fire them as quickly as possible, and with no mercy. Err on the side of firing everyone, if need be.
What this country needs, at every level of society, academia, and government, is a total and complete purge of ‘woke’ revolutionaries, before the blood starts running in the streets.
The Wall Street Journal has more:
The maker of Red Bull energy drinks has replaced its top U.S. executives amid internal tensions over the closely held company’s response to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Red Bull GmbH, the Austrian company that makes the drink, said Stefan Kozak, its North America chief executive, and Amy Taylor, its North America president and chief marketing officer, have left the company. It named other executives to temporarily fill the roles.
Red Bull didn’t give a reason for the changes, which were announced in an internal memo Monday.
Ms. Taylor had been working on diversity and inclusion efforts within the company with Mr. Kozak’s support for several years but was met with opposition when she began advocating for Red Bull to be more overt in its support of racial justice in the last month, according to people familiar with the matter.
Some U.S. employees had recently raised concerns about what they considered the company’s inaction on the Black Lives Matter movement. [Wall Street Journal]
According to Business Insider, these were “acts of retaliation.” And rightly so. If you find yourself in this position, get an army of lawyers and find out the quickest legal route to excising the cancer of “social justice warriors” in your company.
Several insiders close to the situation said it was widely believed that Kozak and Taylor were fired by Austrian leadership over the leak and internal tension over diversity issues. Two employees said Taylor had been working on a project to increase Black representation at Red Bull but that the leadership wasn’t interested. [Business Insider]
Have you ever heard of the phrase, “get woke, go broke?” It turns out there is a simple way to prevent this, and it involves firing people indiscriminately, until the rest of the employees realize that the only way they are going to be able to keep their jobs is by being professional, and keeping their kook politics out of the workplace. Pour encourager les autres.
Roger is saying anybody who peacefully protested the taking down of the Robert E Lee statue are vary bad people and should belong in concentration camps. President Xi of China is his hero.
It is a net plus because he is advocating additional funding for the police on top of the new services!!!!!!!!! !!! Are you just trying to be stupid?????? BWAAAAAAA!!!!!
Damn the lying POS "pastor" is still ashamed of where he gets his marching orders and continues to cut the attribution out so I'll just put out my own "headline"...
BREAKING! President Trump has prevented every disease known to mankind, he prevented all murders and accidental deaths and he’ll cure Corona on Nov, 3rd.
Fritz Stern (2005) has said that “German moderates and German elites underestimated Hitler, assuming that most people would not succumb to his Manichean unreason; they did not think that his hatred and mendacity could be taken seriously.” Hitler was seen by many as a bombastic but harmless buffoon, while many others, including members of clergy, intellectual elites, and the wealthy were nevertheless mesmerized by his grand visions of Germany’s future glory, and eagerly supported his agenda.
As Trump administration officials take fresh aim at China for grievances ranging from intellectual property theft to the coronavirus pandemic, Beijing fired back by saying the U.S. is to blame for deteriorating relations, CNBC reports.
Said a foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying: “Some in the U.S., driven by ideological bias, have been sparing no effort to paint China as a rival or even adversary, smear and attack China and encircle and contain its development. The U.S. is pressing the accelerator to trash China-U.S. relations, while China is putting the brakes on.”
Hua added: “Possessed by such evil, they are on the brink of losing their mind.” _____________
Losing their mind? Who's being talked about there? And by comparison, China is braking? Interesting...
The Washington Post Coronavirus Updates Important developments in the pandemic.
The latest Many scientists have come to believe that “superspreaders” — extraordinarily infectious people who may not even know they are sick — are driving the pandemic, spreading “bursts” of the coronavirus to dozens of people in a matter of hours. A single person may have infected nearly 200 others at a college bar in Michigan in the past month, among other incidents around the world that could have huge implications for how we combat the virus. “If you could stop these events, you could stop the pandemic,” one professor of environmental health told our health desk.
The U.S. outbreak continued to worsen over the weekend, as average death rates hit new highs in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, South Carolina and Texas, and at least 18 states set records for average weekly infections, according to statistics tracked by The Washington Post.
America now stands almost alone among wealthy nations for its failure to contain the disease. Infection rates have tapered off or flatlined in Europe, Canada and Japan — where many people have watched in shock as the United States gets sicker and sicker. “The fumbling of the virus was not a fluke,” our health desk wrote in an analysis of the political polarization, weak leadership, fragmented government, decrepit public health infrastructure and persistent social inequalities that led to this fiasco. “If there was a mistake to be made in this pandemic, America has made it.”
To name just one apparent mistake: President Trump still refuses to consider a national mask mandate, which many other countries have begun to adopt as research suggests face covering are key in slowing the spread of covid-19.
The Trump administration is also trying to block Congress from passing billions of dollars in funding for testing and contact-tracing programs, which were key to driving down infections rates in other countries. “Some White House officials believe they have already approved billions of dollars in assistance for testing and that some of that money remains unspent,” our political desk reported.
In an hour-long interview on Fox News on Sunday, Trump was visibly rattled and occasionally hostile as he struggled to answer questions about the U.S. outbreak. He falsely claimed the spiking infection rate was an illusion, said that most new covid-19 patients would “heal in a day,” and blamed China for letting the virus “escape.”
“I will be right eventually,” Trump said at one point. “It’s going to disappear, and I’ll be right . . . You know why? Because I’ve been right probably more than anybody else.”

time to cancel the NY Times:

New York Times:
“President Trump’s failure to contain the coronavirus outbreak and his refusal to promote clear public-health guidelines have left many senior Republicans despairing that he will ever play a constructive role in addressing the crisis, with some concluding they must work around Mr.
Trump on nearly every major issue related to the virus.”

that's nice.
an exponential increase in testing would tend to yield that result, just like an exponential increase in IQ testing would yield a dramatic rise in the number of idiots like you, BWAA, and the alky.
once again, the smart folks are focused on hospitalizations and deaths.

We Blew It [translation: TRUMP DID]

“America spent the spring building a bridge to August, spending trillions and shutting down major parts of society. The expanse was to be a bent coronavirus curve, and the other side some semblance of normal, where kids would go to school and their parents to work.

U.S. Companies Lose Hope for [TRUMP'S PROMISED] Quick Rebound
Wall Street Journal:
“Big U.S. companies are deciding March and April moves won’t cut it.
Funny asshole rat.....40% increase in testing has resulted in an 137% increase in cases.....The only IQ challenged idiots here are you and Trump BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
$600-a-Week Jobless Aid Nears End
Wall Street Journal:
“Some 25 million Americans are set to lose $600 a week each in federal unemployment benefits at the end of the month, one of the thorniest issues Congress faces when it returns to Washington this week to consider another coronavirus relief bill.
“Many people view the payments as a lifeline, and analysts say the $15 billion a week in federal spending has provided vital support to an economy staggering from the effects of the pandemic. But critics say the money, paid on top of regular state jobless benefits, discourages some Americans from returning to work as businesses try to reopen, holding back the recovery.”
______________
America’s Hidden Economic Crisis
Politico:
“Millions of Americans who managed to hold onto their jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic have seen their incomes drop as employers slashed wages and hours to weather what they expected to be a short-term shutdown.
“Now, with the virus raging and the recession deepening, those cuts that were meant to be temporary could turn permanent — or even pave the way for further layoffs. That could portend deep damage to the labor market and the economy because so many workers who have kept their jobs have less money to spend than a few months ago.”
Wall Street Journal:
“The U.S. labor-market recovery is losing momentum as a surge in coronavirus cases triggers heightened employer uncertainty and consumer caution. Job openings in July are down from last month across the U.S., and Google searches for ‘file for unemployment’ are creeping up.”

Biden Eyes GOP Supporters While Trump Focuses on Base
ASSOCIATED PRESS:
“In the four months since Joe Biden effectively won the Democratic presidential nomination, he has focused on consolidating the party’s divergent and often warring factions.
“Trump, meanwhile, is doing virtually nothing to expand his appeal beyond his most loyal supporters.”

John Lewis’s America
Wall Street Journal editorial:
“We had differences with Lewis on policy, not least his opposition to the 1996 welfare reform when he predicted a catastrophe for the poor. The reform, passed by a GOP Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton, is the most successful bipartisan reform of the last 30 years.
“But these differences are trivial compared to the significance of Lewis’s life and contribution to America. He famously forgave George Wallace, Alabama’s segregationist Governor in the 1960s, in an example of reconciliation all of us should emulate. He never gave up his belief in nonviolence, despite the violence used against him. He never lost faith in the capacity of American democracy, despite its flaws, to strive for a more perfect union.”
______________
AMEN!!!
And that's the man KDim called a racist A-hole.

‘The Sick Man of the World’ [Is Now America]
Jonathan Chait:
“Last October, the Nuclear Threat Initiative and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security compiled a ranking system to assess the preparedness of 195 countries for the next global pandemic… At the top of the rankings, peering down at 194 countries supposedly less equipped to withstand a pandemic, stood the United States of America.
“It has since become horrifyingly clear that the experts missed something. The supposed world leader is in fact a viral petri dish of uncontained infection. By June, after most of the world had beaten back the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S., with 4 percent of the world’s population, accounted for 25 percent of its cases.
"Florida ALONE was seeing more new infections a week than China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, and the European Union combined.
“During its long period of decline, the Ottoman Empire was called ‘the sick man of Europe.’ The United States is now the sick man of the world, pitied by the same countries that once envied its pandemic preparedness — and, as recently as the 2014 Ebola outbreak, relied on its expertise to organize the global response.”

Amid

If Republicans Are Ever Going To Turn On Trump, This Might Be The Moment
By Lee Drutman

Ted Wheeler, Portland, OR
Jenny Durkan, Seattle, WA
Lori Lightfoot, Chicago, IL
Bill de Blasio, New York City, NY

3/3 lower rates (eg Africa and Brazil have high TB vaccination rates and lower Covid). TIMELY: Chris Wallace just asked the President about Brazil’s lower rates - neither of them know this finding yet. It would be good for the everyone to know.”

All three cities named are run by Democrats.

He then goes on to use six more Adolf Hitler quotes.
https://americatalks.com/politics/hitlers-brown-shirts-were-oddly-similar-to-antifas-tactics-and-methods-today-the-rise-of-antifa-nazism/
Donald Trump’s tweets, often delivered between midnight and dawn, are the twenty-first century’s technological embodiment of Hitler’s free plastic radios,”
https://www.commondreams.org/views/2019/08/09/leading-civil-rights-lawyer-shows-20-ways-trump-copying-hitlers-early-rhetoric-and?utm_campaign=shareaholic&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=facebook

What Defunding the Police Really Means
July 6, 2020
We know that police don’t keep us safe — and as long as we continue to pump money into our corrupt criminal justice system at the expense of housing, health, and education investments — we will never be truly safe.
That’s why we are calling to #DefundPolice and #InvestInCommunities — and in our new video, Black Lives Matter Managing Director Kailee Scales helps break down just how it works."😂

Roger, you are too dishonest.
Rand Paul breaks with Trump on sending ‘unidentified federal agents’ into cities: ‘We cannot give up liberty for security’
Biden never said defund the police
"No, I don't support defunding the police," the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said in an interview with CBS while in Houston to meet with the family of George Floyd, whose death last month as a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck set off nationwide protests. "I support conditioning federal aid to police based on whether or not they meet certain basic standards of decency and honorableness. And, in fact, are able to demonstrate they can protect the community and everybody in the community
Is Sara Pearl still Biden’s videographer

Trump Threatens to Send Forces Into Other Cities
“President Trump on Monday threatened to send federal law-enforcement officials into cities like New York and Chicago following his deployment of such forces to Portland, Oregon, over the weekend to crack down on protesters,” the Daily Beast reports.
Said Trump:

Resuming Task Force Reports Isn’t Likely to Help Trump
Philip Bump:
“From late February until mid-April, President Trump and the White House coronavirus task force held near-daily briefings on the scope of the pandemic and the government’s response.

The Washington Post
Coronavirus Updates
Important developments in the pandemic.
The latest
Many scientists have come to believe that “superspreaders” — extraordinarily infectious people who may not even know they are sick — are driving the pandemic, spreading “bursts” of the coronavirus to dozens of people in a matter of hours.
