Apparently it's okay for antifa or black lives matter to plug their riots (which involve violence pretty much every time). But an actual peaceful protest is not allowed, apparently because it is in support of Trump?

Because there was an awful lot of Trump supporters rallying and nothing was being looted, burned down, or otherwise vandalized. None of the rally goers were attacking the police or anyone else. Judging from the popular vote results, Trump could probably have easily won re-election if he had done one thing: act like a President for just the last nine months. Be a leader, make hard decisions based on the greater good. Nobody technically has won the election as of yet. But I see no reason to believe that any of the current state calls are going to be anything different from what is called and I believe that Joe Biden will be sworn in as the next President.
That being said, I have no issues with the President and his team exhausting all of their legal options to expose any and all election fraud (whether or not it actually changes the results).
Too often in this country we pretend that it's only fraud if it actually changes the outcome. Or that a candidate should only sue if they believe that it will alter the result. I believe it's time for us to move beyond that way of thinking and rather allow for the investigations into fraud or tampering (even when it doesn't have the ability to change an election).
I think it's great to see people actually being arrested after this election for obvious election fraud. (eg: the woman charged with 134 counts of election fraud). I think if we actually arrested people who broke election laws, then perhaps there wouldn't be the massive amounts of people who do not trust these results.
The truth is that many liberal NEVER accepted Trump as their President and it caused strife and unrest for most of his Presidency.
I have no idea why liberals would NOT want to make sure that this isn't the case in 2020 and Joe Biden. The media seems to believe that "they" call elections, when that has never actually been the case. Look at North Carolina and the Senate race there. There is nothing statistically that ever looked like Cal Cunningham would be able to overtake Thom Tillis. He led by nearly 100,000 votes and there was nowhere near that many provisional or mail in votes left to count.
But that race was left uncalled?
Why? There was no real mathematical reason for it? Certainly not in comparison to states like Arizona where it was called on election night with 600K votes left to count.
Or more to the point... when was the race finally called?
Not when the counting was done, but for one reason and one reason only.
Cal Cunningham called Thom Tillis and conceded the race. Cunningham could have (and probably should have conceded the next day or possibly the next day after when there was not enough mail in ballots coming in after election day to make up the difference).
But the media "respected" his decision to wait it out until the last possible moment.
Obviously the media is upset that Trump has not "conceded" the election. But if you really want to look at past "norms" - elections are generally not called until the losing candidate concedes.
Whether Trump should have or should now concede is a good question.
But that is up to him (not the media) to make that decision.

During a Friday afternoon appearance on Fox, shortly before Trump made his first public appearance since his loss became official, Wallace deftly dismissed an unnerving take on the state of the presidency from his colleague, reporter John Roberts.
“The president does seem in a way though, Chris, to be winning even as he is losing in the current vote count,” Roberts said, acting as if the election were still ongoing. “Because for his die-hard fans, he is trying to make the case that he didn’t really lose the election, that it was taken from him.”

“Well, not in terms of the numbers at least so far,” Wallace replied. “Unless we see something from these lawsuits that we haven’t seen so far, which is serious fraud and fraud of a dimension that it would actually overturn the results.”
Wallace went on to explain to Roberts—and any of those Trump “die-hards” who might have been watching—that Trump is “not losing these states, for instance Pennsylvania, by 500 votes like Florida in 2000,” but is rather behind by 40,000 to 50,000 votes. “So unless we see fraud of that dimension, I don’t know that he can credibly say that the election has been taken from him.
