Just getting over it with another open mic

No coincidence that a 5-4 USSC decision determined that Governors can no longer treat churches and synagogues differently than liquor stores, camp grounds, and parking garages. Only the really really really stupid believe that it's unsafe to worship god, but safe to buy booze.

Found this random judicial figure in front of a microphone

Just a few months ago, this same sort of decision went 5-4 the other way, with Judge Roberts casting the deciding against the first amendment and religious liberty. Now we have five justices willing to actually put the constitution ahead of the whims of Governors. At least in regards to the preliminary injunction in favor or religious freedom. No reason to believe any final decisions will go the other way.

Found this random guy in front of a mic looking all pissed off? Wonder why?

Oregon Quits Thanksgiving Cold Turkey

In Oregon, you can have cocaine, but not cranberries. Heroin, but no ham. Meth, but not mashed potatoes! Amazingly, a state that just legalized drugs wants to criminalize Thanksgiving! Talk about a double helping of hypocrisy--just in time for the holidays.
Of course, Governor Kate Brown (D) wasn't exactly winning any popularity contests as it was. Now, after her ridiculous orders--which would force families of seven or more to turn away their own children from the meal--she's become a national punchline. So let me get this straight, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) tweeted: "You can be jailed for having too many people over for Thanksgiving. But if you want to riot and loot in Portland, no sweat!" That's right, Jason Rantz mocked. "In Oregon, they're tougher on families than they are on Antifa!"

The optics certainly aren't great for the state--threatening criminal sanctions against people for eating turkey together, when they let locals shoot themselves up with killer drugs. And yet, Brown didn't shy away from the harsh rhetoric. "I am not asking you [to limit gatherings]," the governor said last week. "I am ordering you." Charles Boyle, the governor's spokesperson, was just as threatening. "If people aren't going to take this virus seriously, we are prepared to offer consequences." And those consequences, they aren't shy to say, include jail time.

It's an incredible government overreach. In Pennsylvania, Governor Tom Wolf (D) is demanding that families wear marks in their own homes! That's absurd, especially, PJ Media's Tyler O'Neil pointed out, when a lot of these liberal leaders (like Gavin Newsom, D-Calif.) aren't even following their own rules. It's not the government's business to tell Americans how they can set their Thanksgiving tables--or if you can set it for that matter.

I don't have a problem with the decision.

Religious freedom is more important than buying beer.

Another POS R that the mouth will support in spite of him being a lying cheating thief!!!!!!

U.S. Sen. David Perdue’s campaign has said for months that he had a hands-off approach to his stock portfolio. However, a report from The New York Times about a federal investigation into Perdue’s trades during the early weeks of the coronavirus pandemic shows he did have some input on trades made on his behalf.

Perdue’s campaign says there is no contradiction. He had no control over how most of the stocks he held in individual companies was managed, a campaign strategist said. But he was involved in approving broad investment strategy decisions when it came to his shares of the data marketing firm Cardlytics.

“Senator Perdue doesn’t handle the day-to-day decisions of his portfolio — all of his holdings are managed by outside financial advisors who make recommendations, set strategy, and manage trades and personal finances,” campaign spokesman John Burke said. “These facts are confirmed by the New York Times reporting.”

The Times’ article says Perdue told an adviser at Goldman Sachs to sell off at least $1 million in stocks for the Atlanta-based Cardlytics in January, shortly after receiving an email from the company’s chief executive. The Times spoke to four people who were granted anonymity but said they had direct knowledge of the Justice Department’s investigation into Perdue’s finances.

Trump and the GOP are nothing more than embarrassments!!!!! Some examples of the frivolous lawsuits they have filed and how little the GOP led senate has said about them!!!!!

“Perhaps Plaintiffs are right that guards should be placed near drop boxes, signature-analysis experts should examine every mail-in ballot, poll watchers should be able to man any poll regardless of location, and other security
mprovements should be made. But the job of an unelected federal judge isn’t to suggest election improvements, especially when those improvements contradict the reasoned judgment of democratically elected officials.”

“Put differently, federal judgeshave a lot of power — especially when issuing injunctions. And sometimes we may even have a good idea or two. But the Constitution sets out our sphere of decision-making, and that sphere does not extend to second-guessing and interfering with a state’s reasonable, nondiscriminatory election rules.” — Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, dismissing the Trump campaign’s attempt to stop Pennsylvania counties from using ballot drop boxes and from tallying absentee ballots that were not in a “secrecy” envelope.
