Ballot harvesting fraud in nursing home and assisted living communities IS actually illegal
A social worker in the Mexia State Supported Living Center has been charged with 134 felony counts in an election fraud investigation.
The Texas Attorney General’s Office’s Election Fraud Unit assisted the Limestone County Sheriff and District Attorney in charging Kelly Reagan Brunner.
If convicted, Brunner faces up to 10 years in prison for the alleged offenses.
State Supported Living Centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the AG’s office explained in a news release Friday, Nov. 6.
This has been one of the most common (and most allowed) manners of which to engage in election fraud. Volunteers come into a nursing home or assisted living community under the pretense of holding informational meetings and providing assistance in making sure residents can vote.
Turns out that most of the time, these people are filling out ballots for people, telling them who to vote for, illegally taking and turning in those ballots, and otherwise breaking the law in a variety of ways.
But of course, since Trump already won Texas by six points (in spite of some polls suggesting he might actually lose) this isn't real election fraud because it didn't change any outcome... or at least that seems to be the logic on the left. But as it stands, this person will face charges in spite of only harvesting 134 votes.

nursing homes and their associated assisted living facilities are probably the most fertile field for harvesting ballots that culminate in voter fraud. especially memory care facilities. the residents are clueless and helpless, and ripe for the pickings.
except in NY where Cuomo is killing them in record numbers.
When it comes to the present political wars, there are bad as well as good people on both sides.
There was not a massive attempt to steal or rig this election, however.

Adelson Newspaper Says Biden’s Win Is Inevitable
11:35 am
The Las Vegas-Review Journal, which is owned by billionaire Trump backer Sheldon Adelson, has this editorial today:
“It is too fitting that the Trump presidency concludes amid a babel of bluster and bravado. But the president does a disservice to his more rabid supporters by insisting that he would have won the Nov. 3 election absent voter fraud. That’s simply false.
“There is no evidence that fraud cost Mr. Trump the election, no matter how much the president tweets the opposite and his supporters wish it so.”
IOW, come to your senses, if you have ANY left!
Trump Attacks Fox News
11:46 am
President Trump unleashed on Fox News, retweeting a dozen messages attacking the network and tweeting that Fox “forgot the Golden Goose” that made them successful.
He added: “The biggest difference between the 2016 Election, and 2020, was Fox News!”
_____________
It's interesting that he should refer to himself as the Golden Goose.
Trump was indeed the Golden Goose who brought a lot of gold into the coffers not only of Fox News but of the entire media network by getting them to repeat and give publicity to his unfounded accusations and shenanigans without requiring of him the critical questioning and review which news media should always employ.
Fox has recognized that in these later days, and has actually SOMETIMES sought to present Trump more objectively by simply calling his lies lies.
That just kills him. If there is one thing dictators require it's unquestioning loyalty.
Your desperation is evident

President Obama addressed my concerns.
Perhaps most troubling of all, our democracy seems to be teetering on the brink of crisis—a crisis rooted in a fundamental contest between two opposing visions of what America is and what it should be; a crisis that has left the body politic divided, angry, and mistrustful, and has allowed for an ongoing breach of institutional norms, procedural safeguards, and the adherence to basic facts that both Republicans and Democrats once took for granted.
Oh my GOODNESS!!!
I just now noticed this:
For DAYS, RealClearPolitics.com has been presenting Joe Biden as having ONLY 259 electoral votes. This they did by refusing to recognize media calls that Biden won PA.
THAT HAS NOW CHANGED.
RCP is calling PA for Biden and awarding him the twenty electoral votes that bring him to 279 and the presidency.
RCP still lists Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia as not yet finally decided.
Just thought you'd like to know.
Your're welcome.

The jury’s still out. I’m encouraged by the record-setting number of Americans who turned out to vote in last week’s election, and have an abiding trust in Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, in their character and capacity to do what is right. But I also know that no single election will settle the matter. Our divisions run deep; our challenges are daunting. If I remain hopeful about the future, it’s in large part because I’ve learned to place my faith in my fellow citizens, especially those of the next generation, whose conviction in the equal worth of all people seems to come as second nature, and who insist on making real those principles that their parents and teachers told them were true but that they perhaps never fully believed themselves. More than anyone else, my book is for those young people—an invitation to once again remake the world, and to bring about, through hard work, determination, and a big dose of imagination, an America that finally aligns with all that is best in us.

Scott, seriously the lame duck President ignoring the pandemic. You keep going backwards
At the end of my presidency, Michelle and I boarded Air Force One for the last time and traveled west for a long-deferred break. The mood on the plane was bittersweet. Both of us were drained, physically and emotionally, not only by the labors of the previous eight years but by the unexpected results of an election in which someone diametrically opposed to everything we stood for had been chosen as my successor. Still, having run our leg of the race to completion, we took satisfaction in knowing that we’d done our very best—and that however much I’d fallen short as president, whatever projects I’d hoped but failed to accomplish, the country was in better shape than it had been when I’d started.
For a month, Michelle and I slept late, ate leisurely dinners, went for long walks, swam in the ocean, took stock, replenished our friendship, rediscovered our love, and planned for a less eventful but hopefully no less satisfying second act. For me, that included writing my presidential memoirs. And by the time I sat down with a pen and yellow pad (I still like writing things out in longhand, finding that a computer gives even my roughest drafts too smooth a gloss and lends half-baked thoughts the mask of tidiness), I had a clear outline of a book in my head.
Barack Obama's book, A Promised Land.
This post was excerpted from Obama’s forthcoming book.
First and foremost, I hoped to give an honest rendering of my time in office—not just a historical record of key events that happened on my watch and important figures with whom I interacted but also an account of some of the political, economic, and cultural crosscurrents that helped determine the challenges my administration faced and the choices my team and I made in response. Where possible, I wanted to offer readers a sense of what it’s like to be the president of the United States; I wanted to pull the curtain back a bit and remind people that, for all its power and pomp, the presidency is still just a job and our federal government is a human enterprise like any other, and the men and women who work in the White House experience the same daily mix of satisfaction, disappointment, office friction, screwups, and small triumphs as the rest of their fellow citizens. Finally, I wanted to tell a more personal story that might inspire young people considering a life of public service: how my career in politics really started with a search for a place to fit in, a way to explain the different strands of my mixed-up heritage, and how it was only by hitching my wagon to something larger than myself that I was ultimately able to locate a community and purpose for my life.

Andy Card served as White House chief of staff under President George W. Bush. John Podesta served as White House chief of staff under President Bill Clinton.
The two of us have had the privilege of serving as chief of staff for a U.S. president. One of us served in President Bill Clinton’s White House while the other served under President George W. Bush. We happened to find ourselves on opposing ends of the historic Bush v. Gore dispute in Florida in 2000, one of only four times in U.S. history when the outcome of a presidential election was too close to call.
Follow the latest on Election 2020
While we disagreed about many issues then and have disagreed since, we do agree on one thing: The 2020 election is not like 2000 and should not be treated as such.
Election night in 2000 was a blur of confusion. Each candidate had nearly enough electoral college votes to win. Whoever won Florida would become the next president. The networks called Florida for Vice President Al Gore, then called Florida for Bush, and then withdrew the call completely. Gore initially conceded, but then retracted his concession, a first in U.S. history. In the end, after the recount started and stopped, the two candidates were divided by a margin of just 537 votes in the one state which determined the election’s outcome.
Because of the delay, the administrator of the General Services Administration at the time, David J. Barram, independently declined to “ascertain” Bush as the winner until the Supreme Court ultimately ruled and Gore conceded. Until now, this was the only instance of “ascertainment” being withheld for a significant period of time.
As a result, while Bush and key staff were provided full intelligence briefings, the Bush transition did not have access to federal agencies and resources for 37 long days.

How to Cover a Coup… or Whatever Trump is Doing

Margaret Sullivan:
“President Trump lost. The nation knows it. The world knows it. And, although he won’t admit it, he certainly knows it, too. But because he is claiming otherwise — with his Republican enablers joining the chorus — this past week has presented the reality-based press with a strange and extremely important challenge.
“How do you cover something that, at worst, lays the groundwork for a coup attempt and, at best, represents a brazen lie that could be deeply damaging to American democracy?”

Biden Grants Waivers to Lobbyists for Transition

“At least 40 people serving on Biden’s transition team are or were once registered lobbyists,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“The Biden transition team has sought to limit the influence of lobbyists in setting up the new administration. As of this writing, the Republican Party has not suffered permanent damage to its integrity and reputation because of President Trump’s post-election rampaging. This will not be true much longer.
It is simply a truism that Trump has a legal right to pursue all appropriate election-law remedies to ensure an accurate, lawful vote count. To be credible, however, any aggrieved candidate must at some point produce valid legal arguments and persuasive evidence.
Trump has so far failed to do so, and there is no indication he can. If he can’t, his “right” to contest the election is beside the point. The real issue is the grievous harm he is causing to public trust in America’s constitutional system. Trump’s time is running out, even as his rhetoric continues escalating. And time is running out for Republicans who hope to maintain the party’s credibility, starting with Georgia’s two Senate runoffs in January. Here is the cold political reality: Trump is enhancing his own brand (in his mind) while harming the Republican brand. The party needs a long internal conversation about the post-Trump era, but first it needs to get there honorably.
Consider the competing interests. Donald Trump’s is simple and straightforward: Donald Trump. The near-term Republican interest is winning the Georgia runoffs. The long-term Republican interest emphatically involves winning those Senate seats, but it also involves rejecting Trump’s personalized, erratic, uncivil, unpresidential and ultimately less-than-effective politics and governance.
One approach holds that coddling Trump while he trashes the U.S. electoral system will help him get over the loss, thereby making it easier to reconcile him to leaving the Oval Office. But this coddling strategy is exactly backward. The more Republican leaders kowtow, the more Trump believes he is still in control and the less likely he will do what normal presidents do: make a gracious concession speech; fully cooperate with the president-elect in a smooth transition process; and validate the election process itself by joining his successor at the Jan. 20 inauguration.
Coddling proponents plead that an enraged Trump will jeopardize the chances of victory in the Georgia runoffs. But that is true only if party leaders do not speak up, explaining to voters what the real facts are. Do we in the GOP not trust our own base enough to absorb the truth? They will find out in due course anyway if Trump’s election litigation indeed crashes into reality. Once in court, state or federal, before judges appointed by Republicans and Democrats, actual witnesses will have to raise their right hands and tell the truth, and then face gale-force cross-examination from lawyers for President-elect Joe Biden’s campaign. It’s one thing to tweet; it’s another thing to testify.
Who is going to explain that to Georgia’s voters? Republican leaders should lay that groundwork now and not cede the field to a president whose interests directly contradict the party’s. Otherwise, they will rue the day they stood silent.
Simultaneously, Trump is frustrating Biden’s transition, based on the 2000 precedent, when George W. Bush’s transition was delayed for 37 days by Al Gore’s contesting the Florida results. Two wrongs don’t make a right. It implies no acknowledgment of Biden’s legitimacy as president-elect for Trump to facilitate prudent transition planning, certainly in the national security field, nor in finalizing distribution plans for a coronavirus vaccine, which will largely occur next year. At least, that’s how a confident, mature, responsible president would see it.
For the good of America, the 2020 election needs to be brought expeditiously to the conclusion that all logic tells us is coming. National security requires that the transition get underway effectively. These are Republican values.) We will acknowledge reality sooner or later. For the good of the party as well as the country, let’s make it sooner.
Scott
The Democratic candidate has won the election.
You should focus on winning Georgia

Corey Lewandowski, a senior adviser to President Trump's reelection campaign, has tested positive for the coronavirus, a source familiar with the matter confirmed on Thursday.
Lewandowski is the latest person in Trump's orbit to contract the virus since Election Day, though it was not immediately clear when he became infected.
Lewandowski was at a White House party on the night of the election, and he has mostly been in Pennsylvania in recent days as part of an effort to challenge the outcome there.
Lewandowski served as the president's campaign manager for part of his 2016 White House bid, and he has remained an adviser and supporter during Trump's time in the White House. He joined the 2020 campaign as a senior adviser in recent months.
He previously had a brush with the virus after attending a White House event in late September to nominate Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Several attendees later tested positive, though Lewandowski was not one of them.
The White House election night party has emerged as the latest super-spreader event inside the building, though.
White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, White House political director Brian Jack, and several other lower-level members have tested positive in the last week.
David Bossie, who has co-written books with Lewandowski and is working on the campaign's legal challenges, also tested positive, though it was not clear if he was at the election night gathering.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — During a Pennsylvania court hearing this week on one of the many election lawsuits brought by President Donald Trump, a judge asked a campaign lawyer whether he had found any signs of fraud from among the 592 ballots challenged.
The answer was no.
“Accusing people of fraud is a pretty big step,” said the lawyer, Jonathan Goldstein. “We’re all just trying to get an election done.”

Did the lame duck President win Minnesota like you said before?
The lame duck President is addicted to attention. The super spreader events are an example. It's getting worse!
Looking beyond the legal challenges that Trump evidently understands are doomed, he's reportedly interested in launching a digital media company to rival Fox News, and according to Reuters, he has told allies "he planned to run for president in 2024 and could announce it by the end of the year." The Post is reporting the same, writing, "Rather than talking about a second term, Trump has been matter-of-factly discussing a possible 2024 campaign — an indication that he knows his time as president is coming to an end, at least for now."
The Republicans should divorce the lame duck President, or they might be out of power for decades in the White House and the Congress.
Although President Donald Trump has not yet conceded the 2020 election to Joe Biden, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has acknowledged the outcome in a new CNN interview.
“I think that we need to consider the former vice president as the president-elect. Joe Biden is the president-elect.” Gov. DeWine said Thursday morning just days after previously issuing a statement in which he congratulated Biden. “The President and his campaign has every right to go into court. Our courts are open. Our courts are the best place, frankly, to adjudicate facts. I’m a former prosecutor. I’m a great believer in the ability to have your courts and go into make a case. They have every right to do that, and that looks like what they’re trying to do.”

The United States has been conducting presidential elections for 232 years. No modern candidate has ever refused to accept the results and recognize the winner’s legitimacy.
In this sense, 2020 could be different from any contest that’s come before — if President Trump continues to claim that President-elect Joe Biden “stole” the election from him.
But every indication is that the 2020 election, conducted in the midst of a pandemic, with by far the most votes ever cast, was run honestly and the results tabulated accurately — a tribute to the professionalism and integrity of officials across the country.
Before Election Day, the Trump administration invited a delegation of 28 international experts from the Organization of American States, which has reported on elections around the world, to observe the vote. Its preliminary report found zero evidence of significant fraud.
The New York Times recently spoke to top election officials in 49 of 50 states. Not one, Democrat or Republican, reported “that fraud or other irregularities played a role in the outcome of the presidential race.”
And the head of Trump’s own Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has spent the last week explaining on Twitter and on the agency’s “Rumor Control” website why none of the stories of so-called fraud that Americans may be encountering on social media or alternative news sites represent anything out of the ordinary.
Yet these ominous-but-ultimately-overblown stories continue to circulate online — stories of pollsters falsifying their surveys to hurt Trump, of dead people voting, of observers being blocked from watching the count, of mysterious batches of Biden votes suddenly materializing in Democratic cities, of computer glitches changing the results, and so on.
As a result, millions of people continue to worry that maybe something happened in 2020 that’s never happened before. They wonder if maybe the election was stolen.
It wasn’t.
What follow are the facts, and just the facts, on each of the major “fraud” rumors flooding your inbox and your newsfeed.
Even if all of these rumors were true, which they aren’t, they wouldn’t add up to enough votes to overturn the outcome: Biden is on track to beat Trump by 5 million votes nationwide and by tens (or even hundreds) of thousands of votes in key states.
And while some allegations could end up exposing real fraud — because real fraud happens in every election — history shows that such incidents will be few, far between and ultimately inconsequential.
In 2014, Loyola Law School professor and voting expert Justin Levitt investigated every general, primary, special and municipal election held since the year 2000. Of more than 1 billion ballots cast, he found just 31 credible instances of potential voter impersonation, which is one of a few ways that cheating can actually occur.
Fauci Says Working with Trump Is ‘Very Stressful’
