We no longer listen to science or experts for that matter...

Governor Walz closes bars, restaurants, and gyms... in spite of evidence that they are not the problem.

John Phelan points out that the Minnesota Department of Health’s own numbers indicate that restaurants and bars account for only 1.7% of the cases diagnosed since June 10. In fact, these numbers are largely meaningless since the state admits that the source of something like 69% of cases is unknown. But from any perspective, there is no reason to single out restaurants and bars for closure. The case is even worse with respect to gyms, which have been associated with fewer than 1/2 of 1% of cases.

Gee, it's one thing to say you are listening to science, when you are not. It's one thing to say you are listening to experts, when you are not. But don't you have to provide some degree of evidence that you are listening to "someone" who knows something?

Let's look at the experts from the CDC and other "health experts". When the President suggested that we would have a vaccine by the end of the year, he was brutalized by experts who demanded it would be at earliest next summer, and that any sort of vaccine by the end of the year would be a "miracle".  Turns out that Trump knew better than the so called "experts".

The experts demanded that if we just lived under these mask mandates, that we social distanced, and that we washed our hands more frequently, that we could put this virus behind us. Now it turns out that the virus us running rampant as the weather turns cold, and all of the mandates, distancing, and handwashing in the world isn't helping.

Isn't the concept of being an "expert" that you might know things that other people do not? Can it be possible to both be an actual expert and get everything wrong? Seems to be the case. Because what has the "experts" gotten right so far? Pretty much nothing. They've been wrong at every corner, and we continue to follow the same guidelines and formulas that have brought us to the point of 200,00 cases and 2000 deaths a day.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I believe it's also insanity to continue to listen to those who continue to get things wrong. But what other choices do we have? Governors like Walz are politically tied into shut downs and mandates, and piss on the economic ruin taking place because of it.

But hey... if you lose your business, job, house, car, life savings, or everything else... no worries. The Democrats promise to cut you another check for $1200 sometime after Trump leaves office, and that should really send us on our way to economic recovery! Ahem...

Your lame duck President got stuck

Pennsylvania officials can certify election results that currently show Democrat Joe Biden winning the state by more than 80,000 votes, a federal judge ruled Saturday, dealing President Donald Trump’s campaign another blow in its effort to invalidate the election.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, turned down the request for an injunction by President Donald Trump’s campaign, spoiling the incumbent’s hopes of somehow overturning the results of the presidential contest.

In his ruling, Brann said the Trump campaign presented “strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations ... unsupported by evidence."

“In the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state,” the opinion said. “Our people, laws, and institutions demand more.”

Trump had argued that the U.S. Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection under the law was violated when Pennsylvania counties took different approaches to notifying voters before the election about technical problems with their submitted mail-in ballots.

Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar and the seven Biden-majority counties that the campaign sued had argued Trump had previously raised similar claims and lost.

They told Brann the remedy the Trump campaign sought, to throw out millions of votes over alleged isolated issues, was far too extreme, particularly after most of them have been tallied.

“There is no justification on any level for the radical disenfranchisement they seek,” Boockvar’s lawyers wrote in a brief filed Thursday.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, tweeted shortly after Brann's ruling, saying “Another one bites the dust.”

I don't know how many of you remember Pravda. It was the propaganda radio station that broadcasted propaganda for The Soviet Union in eastern Europe.

The lame duck President tried to make The Voice of America his propaganda station.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge has ruled against the head of the agency that runs the Voice of America and other U.S.-funded news outlets who was accused of trying to turn it into a propaganda vehicle to promote President Donald Trump’s agenda.

Judge rules against Trump global media chief after firings.

The ruling effectively bars U.S. Agency for Global Media CEO Michael Pack from making personnel decisions and interfering in editorial operations.

Pack, a conservative filmmaker, Trump ally and onetime associate of former Trump political adviser Steve Bannon, made no secret of his intent to shake up the agency after taking over in June.

He proceeded to purge the leadership at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, Middle East Broadcasting Networks and the Open Technology Fund, which works to provide secure internet access to people around the world. The director and deputy director of VOA resigned just days before the firings. Pack also dismissed their governing boards.

He wanted to make the Voice of America the Voice Of Trump. On our tax dollars.

The traitrous Wall Street Journal reported

Around one-third of counties in Minnesota had at least one Covid-19 case associated with the Sturgis Motorcycle rally that took place in South Dakota in August, according to a report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Minnesota public-health officials traced 51 cases among state residents directly to the rally, along with 35 related cases stemming from attendees to friends, co-workers and household members, for a total of 86 linked cases. For the people who hadn’t directly attended the rally, researchers backed up some of the associations through genetic sequencing of the virus.

The cases are an underestimate of the spread in Minnesota sparked by the rally, the report, which was released Friday, says, and they fail to capture the effects in South Dakota and other neighboring states.

“These findings highlight the far-reaching effects that gatherings in one area might have on another area,” the authors wrote. “The motorcycle rally was held in a neighboring state that did not have policies regarding event size and mask use, underscoring the implications of policies within and across jurisdictions.”

Roughly 460,000 people from across the U.S. gathered together for the rally in western South Dakota, attending both indoor and outdoor events from Aug. 7-16.

“We know that the risk of contracting Covid increases as people gather and have consistently provided the facts and science on how Covid spreads to the public,” the South Dakota Department of Health said. “In South Dakota, we’ve trusted and continue to trust people to take personal responsibility for their health.”

Public-health authorities have generally warned against large gatherings throughout the pandemic, especially when other mitigation measures, such as mask-wearing, aren’t implemented.

Judge Disembowels Trump's "Frankenstein" Pennsylvania Lawsuit

In the biggest judicial rebuke yet, District Judge Matthew Brann blasted Trump's Pennsylvania election challenge.

‘This is Simply Not How the Constitution Works’

Delusional Trump supporters actually expected judges to break the constitution and elect Trump.

Judge Matthew Brann accurately disemboweled a preposterous Trump legal challenge with these words: ‘This is simply not how the Constitution works’

Frankenstein Monster Case
“This Court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations, unpled in the operative complaint and unsupported by evidence,” U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann wrote.

“In the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state. Our people, laws, and institutions demand more.

“This claim, like Frankenstein’s Monster, has been haphazardly stitched together from two distinct theories in an attempt to avoid controlling precedent.

“Even assuming that they can establish that their right to vote has been denied, which they cannot, Plaintiffs seek to remedy the denial of their votes by invalidating the votes of millions of others. Rather than requesting that their votes be counted, they seek to discredit scores of other votes, but only for one race. This is simply not how the Constitution works.”

“Given that:
(1) Plaintiffs have already amended once as of right;
(2) Plaintiffs seek to amend simply in order to effectively reinstate their initial complaint and claims; and
(3) the deadline for counties in Pennsylvania to certify their election results to Secretary Boockvar is November 23, 2020, amendment would unduly delay resolution of the issues.

“Although this case was initiated less than two weeks ago, it has already developed its own tortured procedural history. Plaintiffs have made multiple attempts at amending the pleadings, and have had attorneys both appear and withdraw in a matter of seventy-two hours.”

Rudy Giuliani Makes a Fool of Himself

Rudy Giuliani’s ‘Disgraceful’ Courtroom Rant About Voter Fraud Didn’t Resemble Trump Lawsuit

“They stole an election,” Giuliani claimed in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, in one of the many inflammatory remarks alleged in neither the 85-page original complaint nor the redlined amended version that struck broad swaths from the original suit.

Just like other Trump campaign lawyers before him, Giuliani would later candidly admit to the judge of the election lawsuit: “This is not a fraud case,” but not before packaging it otherwise in an evidence-addled opening argument.

“This is not a fraud case,” the Trump campaign’s lawyer Kory Langhofer told a Maricopa County judge last week. Giuliani repeated that line verbatim in the late afternoon session, of the Middle District of Pennsylvania lawsuit.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann also pressed Giuliani on the gulf between his opening remarks and his pleadings.

Peppering Giuliani with pointed questions, Brann appeared to catch Giuliani flubbing basic questions of law—and the English language.

“I’m not sure what ‘opacity’ means,” Giuliani said at one point. “It probably means you can see.” “It means you can’t,” Brann responded.

When Judge Brann asked what standard of scrutiny he should apply to the case, Giuliani replied: “The normal one,” appearing not to understand the ways in which courts analyze government actions. Brann then asked whether he should apply “strict scrutiny,” considering his clients allege equal protection violations. Giuliani conceded he did not know what “strict scrutiny” meant.

Summation
U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann labeled Rudy Giuliani's claim Frankenstein’s Monster.

Brann rebuked Giuliani, ‘This is simply not how the Constitution works’

Giuliani repeatedly told judges the case was not about fraud while lying to the public the case was about fraud.

16 federal prosecutors across the country who were assigned to monitor elections for signs of fraud wrote to Mr. Barr that they had found no evidence of “substantial allegations of voting and vote tabulation irregularities.”

Senator Ernst (R-Iowa) blasted Trump's “national conspiracy” claim.

Senator Sasse noted Trump campaign lawyers have stood before courts under oath, they have repeatedly refused to actually allege grand fraud—because there are legal consequences for lying to judges.”

Senator Romney said It was 'Difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action' by a president.

Drinking the Kool-Aid
Many people still believe anything that Trump has to say no matter how obviously ridiculous.

Widespread delusion remains that Trump was robbed and he should continue tactics, even illegal ones, to the bitter end.

Trump built his cult followers very much like Jim Jones led 900 members of the Peoples Temple movement to Drink the Kool-Aid and kill themselves in mass suicide.

Here, the consequences are more catastrophic.

Fortunately, no viable paths remain for Trump to win. The Supreme Court will not get involved with cult-like and Frankenstein requests to disenfranchise voters.

"This is simply not how the Constitution works.”

Her Indian mother and Jamaican father were not yet US citizens when they had her in California in 1964.When reached for comment, a White House spokesman said he wouldn't "speculate or comment on potential executive action."
