So what to make of this?
There are some questions about the time stamping on provisional (affidavit) ballots. Apparently some of the ballots have a time stamp listed "prior" to when the voter said they provided the ballot. Meanwhile there are also a few provisional ballots that were time stamped on November 4th. Which was a day after the election.
Obviously the concept is that a provisional or affidavit ballot (which is done in person) would be for the ballot to be stamped for time when it is cast. Not doing so, defeats the purpose of actually timestamping something. But according to the election commissioner, there were human errors that prevented the time stamp to be accurately added and that while those ballots were incorrectly stamped, they were correctly cast. They apparently just counted these disputed ballots the day of the election, held them overnight, and then time-stamped them the next day.
Now not to say that the commissioner could probably tell us for sure what happened. It's doubtful that these commissioners watched any of this first hand. The commissioner is likely taking the word of the election workers at this point. But this is the sort of nonsense that really needs to stop. Whether or not you believe that the ballots were legally cast (and just not legally handled) has to be considered against the idea that if you allow ballots timestamped "after" the election to be counted, then you are possibly allowing fraud and no doubt opening up a manner in which fraud can occur in the future.
It's a sticky question. You don't want to potentially punish voters who correctly voted. But you also do not want to allow possible fraudulent ballots to be counted. The "law" itself would probably disqualify these ballots. The judge in this case has asked the Brindisi camp if they expect him to make new laws.
We also have a second county that has a discrepancy between a machine count and a hand count, suggesting that ballots went missing or were added. There are also questions of whether or not certain invalid ballots were allowed to be "cured" within the known guidelines of the law.
Something tells me that this is going to get very ugly... and I suspect that no matter how it goes, that Pelosi and the Democrats will simply use their congressional power to make sure Brindisi is seated over Tenney.

If you say so.
hey BWAA,
does the alky pay you to hang around here to make him look smart?
I just read the article by the local TV news.
Board of Elections didn’t save the envelopes containing the ballot.
It looks like the Board of Elections is incompetent, or "deep state agents ".
Those envelopes contain the postmark and time stamp when they arrive at the board.
DelConte held off on a decision on those ballots as well as an effort by the Brindisi campaign to call voters and elections commissioners as witnesses, saying the ballots arrived on time.
He asked attorneys to send him briefings on the issue.
Earlier, he ruled on nine ballots in Oswego County, but it was not clear from the proceeding whether those disputed votes will count. And, if they do, it was unclear which candidate would receive them.
The judge didn’t rule on the nine disputed ballots in Herkimer County.
As of Monday evening, Tenney leads Brindisi by 19 votes.
The court proceedings had been delayed weeks because of mistakes by some of the eight Boards of Elections in the district keeping track of candidate’s objections to specific ballots.
I understand the frustration

President Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a flurry of pardons and commutations to a slew of controversial figures with ties to his administration, in a move that further cements his legacy of exercising his sweeping powers to benefit his political allies.
Among the list of individuals pardoned Tuesday are George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign aide indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller; Duncan Hunter and Chris Collins, both former Republican congressmen convicted of financial crimes; and four former Blackwater Worldwide military contractors responsible for the shooting deaths of 14 Iraqis in 2007.
In total, the president issued 15 pardons and commuted part or all of the sentences of five individuals.
She criminally charged you?

That is Criminal Domestic violence abuse against women in California.
Since the Police responded a "Restraining Order" is automatically filed .
In this case against the abuser, Alky.
Mr. Trump’s pardon list also included four former U.S. service members who were convicted of killing Iraqi civilians while working as contractors in 2007.
One of them, Nicholas Slatten, had been sentenced to life in prison after the Justice Department had gone to great lengths to prosecute him. Mr. Slatten had been a contractor for the controversial company Blackwater and was sentenced for his role in the killing of 17 Iraqi civilians in Nisour Square in Baghdad — a massacre that left one of the most lasting stains on the United States of the war.
A domestic violence conviction.
Well done Alky.

A tabulation by the Harvard Law School professor Jack Goldsmith found that of the 45 pardons or commutations that Mr. Trump had granted up until Tuesday, 88 percent aided someone with a personal tie to the president or furthered his political aims — a pattern that Mr. Goldsmith said Mr. Trump appeared to maintain with Tuesday’s pardons.
No conviction because there were no charges.
Republicans in the Senate so quickly forget. Right now they would be down 8 seats without my backing them in the last Election. RINO John Thune, “Mitch’s boy”, should just let it play out. South Dakota doesn’t like weakness. He will be primaried in 2022, political career over!!!

Pentagon anxiety rises as officers wait for Trump's next unpredictable move
By Analysis by Barbara Starr18h

(CNN) — It's like a low murmur just below the surface. "We don't know what he might do," says one officer in the Pentagon. "We are in strange times," says another officer. Some senior military officers are trying to steer clear of the White House for the next month, rather than be in the President Donald Trump's orbit.
With just some 30 days to go before the US military watches its current commander in chief leave office, there is growing anxiety in the ranks about what Trump might do in these remaining days. Will the President order some unexpected military action, such as a strike on Iran, or will he somehow draw the military into his efforts to overthrow the election results

Trump Is Guilty of Sedition and Must Be Brought to JusticeHe’s violating his oath to protect the Constitution, and every day that he’s allowed to remain in power, the threat to our democracy grows.By Sasha AbramskyTwitterYESTERDAY 9:56 AMFacebook Twitter Email

The Signal: Trump is now talking the sedition talk on a daily basis, and, one has to assume, actively planning ways to walk the sedition walk over the next month. He is meeting regularly with Sidney Powell, Steve Bannon and other plotters, and daily he is being fed a diet of ever more extreme scenarios for overturning the election results. This is no idle chatter, and even if we had once been inclined to dismiss it with words to the effect of “Oh, it’s only the crazy old guy blowing off steam,” we no longer have that luxury. In increasingly specific language, Trump and his band of traitors are advocating some combination of martial law, national emergency, and paramilitarism as a way to cling to power.

Trump's enablers will meet their Shakespearean end!
It is a mark of these astounding times that news of heated meetings at the White House considering, among other things, the confiscation of voting machines, declaration of martial law, and use of the military to preside over an election outcome more to the president’s liking were met with a collective yawn by the American people. The news of the FDA’s approval of the Moderna vaccine for the coronavirus was much more enthralling, and recipes for single batches of holiday punch, suitable for COVID-imposed isolation, were more immediately relevant.
This could indicate the apathy of the American people, battered by President Donald Trump’s antics, the pandemic, and an imperiled economy. More likely, it represents a reasoned confidence that if Trump were to order General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to arrest President-elect Joe Biden and occupy the capitals of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona, the stocky general would report sick for the next 30 days. Judges would block the orders, governors would laugh at them, Republican senators would demurely pretend they had not heard of them. So is there nothing left to be said about the final scene of the final act of this dismal play?

What does The Biden/Harris Vivid relief bill look like?
I bet that CH will not post about the crazy President's pardons and outright insanity!

Quote of the Day
“With a madman in the White House, we are entering the most dangerous four weeks of his presidency.”
— David Gergen, on Twitter.
Influencers Beg for Dictatorship
NBC News:
“With Trump’s days in office dwindling, QAnon influencers have become increasingly restless and militant, urging him to #crosstherubicon, a reference to Julius Caesar’s crossing the Rubicon river after the Roman Senate explicitly told him not to, effectively kick-starting the Roman civil war and Caesar’s dictatorship.”
What Is Trump Trying to Do with the Relief Bill?
Wall Street Journal:
“Aides said they view the tweet more as the president voicing his displeasure with the bill than an actual veto threat. One aide said Mr. Trump’s announcement amounted to an effort to make Congress squirm.”
New York Times:
“Current and former administration officials speculated on Tuesday evening that Mr. Trump did not like the narrative that he had been sidelined from the negotiations and that calling for higher direct payments was a political move to please his base.”
Said one administration official to the Washington Post: “So dumb. So, so dumb.”
Trump Is Trying to Split the GOP
Axios:
“Trump wants the Republican Party to remain beholden to him, and is desperate to retain his GOP power past Jan. 20. Top Republicans are increasingly queasy about the two runoffs in Georgia on Jan. 5 that will determine which party controls the Senate. Last night’s White House actions undermine the GOP Senate candidates by fomenting turmoil and distraction, and robbing the senators of a clear win on the stimulus.”
Misinformation Floods Georgia Ahead of Runoffs
New York Times:
“As Georgia prepares to hold special elections that will determine which party will control the U.S. Senate, the state has become the focus of a misinformation campaign that is aimed at discrediting the results of the November elections and convincing voters that Democrats are trying to steal the upcoming vote.”
“A small group of ‘superspreaders’ is responsible for the vast majority of that misinformation, according to new research by Avaaz, a global human rights group. Not only are those accounts responsible for most of the misinformation swirling around the vote, they are drowning out accurate reporting by mainstream media outlets on Facebook and Instagram.”
Related from Axios:
“In 2020, nearly one-fifth (17%) of engagement among the top 100 news sources on social media came from sources that NewsGuard deems generally unreliable.”
There Is No Vaccine for Ignorance
Max Boot:
“The good news is that roughly two-thirds of the country inhabits the land of facts, where information comes from mainstream media. The bad news is that at least one-third live in a la-la-land of ‘alternative facts’ and ‘fake news,’ where the most trusted sources of information are Fox News and Facebook — or, heaven help us, Newsmax and OAN. There is plenty of irrationality on the left, to be sure, but it now appears much more prevalent on the political right, where so many deny both climate change and the coming change of administrations.
“There is a vast, unbridgeable chasm that separates the brilliant scientists who came up with the coronavirus vaccines and the ignoramuses who believe that the coronavirus was engineered by Bill Gates to profit from vaccinations, or that it was created as a bioweapon by China, or that it is spread by 5G cell towers, or that it doesn’t actually exist, or that its dangers are vastly exaggerated, or that masks are either useless or harmful in stopping its spread. This pandemic of misinformation helps explain why the United States is among the countries with the highest covid death rates in the world despite having the most sophisticated medical sector.
“Now these two nations are on another collision course because of the resistance to taking the coronavirus vaccine.”
Brindisi-Tenney Race Narrows Even More
“The incredibly close race for the 22nd Congressional District got even closer Tuesday, as about 90 new votes from a bundle of about 2,500 affidavit ballots from Oneida County were counted,” the Syracuse Post Standard reports.
“Incumbent Anthony Brindisi (D) and Claudia Tenney (R) are separated by three to five votes… The candidates’ attorneys have been locked in a courtroom battle for nearly two months to determine the winner.”
How Will Pence Handle Certifying Biden as President?
Washington Post:
“Pence and his advisers have begun thinking about how to handle Jan. 6 and escape Trump’s ire, but no final decisions have been made.”
Said one administration official: “The vice president does not want to leave on bad terms with the president, I can assure you that.”
Meadows Makes Surprise Visit to Georgia
“White House chief of staff Mark Meadows made a surprise visit Tuesday to observe Georgia’s audit of absentee ballot envelope signatures and ask questions about the process,” the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
“Meadows, accompanied by Secret Service agents, showed up at the Cobb County Civic Center, where investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and secretary of state’s office were reviewing absentee ballot envelopes to check whether voter signatures match those on file.”
Meadows was overheard saying: “I’m not making any allegations as much as I am trying to get to the truth.”
How the Georgia Runoffs Could Delay Biden’s Cabinet
Politico:
“The next Congress will begin in a haze of uncertainty — and that has consequences for President-elect Joe Biden. With the Senate majority unknown until the Jan. 5 Georgia runoffs, much of the chamber’s business remains up in the air — potentially for days or weeks after if the elections are tight and certification is postponed. And that could mean more delay for staffing Biden’s cabinet and implementing his agenda.”
Pfizer Nears Deal to Provide More Vaccine Doses
“The Trump administration and Pfizer are close to a deal under which the pharmaceutical company would bolster supply of its coronavirus vaccine for the United States by at least tens of millions of doses next year in exchange for a government directive giving it better access to manufacturing supplies,” the New York Times reports.
“An agreement, which could be announced as early as Wednesday, would help the United States at least partly offset a looming vaccine shortage that could leave as many as 110 million adult Americans uncovered in the first half of 2021.”
Hunter Biden’s Name Aided Deals With Foreign Tycoons
“Hunter Biden ramped up business activities with European and Chinese tycoons as his father exited the vice presidency four years ago. For him it was a potential path to income; for the tycoons, the Biden family name promised to burnish their reputations,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“The dealings got the younger Mr. Biden a discounted stake in a private-equity firm in China and consulting arrangements with a Romanian property magnate and overall allowed him to maintain a globe-trotting lifestyle, according to interviews, documents and communications reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. A Chinese energy tycoon gave Mr. Biden a 2.8-carat diamond, and entities linked to him wired nearly $5 million to Mr. Biden’s law firm, according to an investigation by Senate Republicans.”

Pardons Were the Framers’ Blind Spot
Tim Naftali:
“Will Trump be the first to test the constitutionality of a self-pardon, just as he has tested the limits of so many other constraints on presidential power? Precedent has never mattered to him. He has reportedly been asking aides about the possibility of a self-pardon since 2017. Unlike Nixon, he can’t even hope for a pardon from his immediate successor. But neither can he count on the Supreme Court to uphold a self-pardon; in summarily dismissing Trump’s effort to overturn the election, the justices reminded him that a president should not count on the support of his appointees.
“The Framers couldn’t imagine a Congress failing to impeach and remove a corrupt president. Chief Justice Taft couldn’t imagine a president abusing the pardon power,
and he couldn’t imagine the circumstances under which a president would pardon himself.
Mary Lawton couldn’t imagine that the Constitution would allow a president to be the judge in his own case.
“But in the final days of the presidency of Donald Trump, very little seems unimaginable anymore.”
Trump Is All That Holds the GOP Together
Matthew Continetti:
“Republican officials who have indulged or assisted in President Trump’s effort to nullify the 2020 election have many motivations: partisanship, conviction, delusion, cynicism, ambition, paranoia, fear.
But all these reasons for participation in an antidemocratic power grab point to a single truth:
For many, Mr. Trump is all that binds the Republican Party together.”

Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump!
Actually Reverend... Goddard got it wrong.
The 90 votes from Oneida County were split fairly closely, according to sources. The split (of those 90 votes) being approximately 3-5 votes in favor of one candidate or the other (they haven't said which). The 3-5 difference does not represent a total overall vote count.
Last reports I saw on an updated count was that Tenney led Brindisi by somewhere between 11-16 votes depending on the source.
Trump is living far more damagingly in the heads of Republicans these days.

Why Did Bill Barr Agree to Leave Today?
9:57 am EST
Bill Kristol:
“It could, obviously, be kind of random–a date picked last week to allow Barr to get things in order, an accommodation of Barr’s family schedule, etc. But it could also be that Barr very much wanted to get out before Dec. 24, and/or that Trump wanted him out by then.
“One obvious possibility discussed in the White House:
Trump has spoken about a bunch of pardons on Christmas Eve.
Some of the names may have been too much for Barr — so they agreed on his departure on Dec. 23. (Or the pardons will be a few days later, but the principle holds — Barr wanted out, or Trump wanted him out, first.)
“But it could be more than pardons.
Yesterday Barr suggested there were several things he wouldn’t do that Trump wanted him to do as ranging from
appointing special counsels for Hunter Biden
or election fraud,
to giving a legal OK for seizing voting machines
or for various types of Insurrection Act-type moves by the president.
Can one be confident Barr’s successor as AG, Jeffrey Rosen, will also say no?”
More from Kristol:
“I’m also reliably told that senior military officials in the Pentagon are more, not less, alarmed than they were a few weeks ago when Mark Esper was fired.
The new crew of Trump loyalists in the most senior civilian positions don’t seem there only to burnish their resumes, as one person put it.
They’re trying to figure out, in coordination with people in the White House, ‘how to make things happen.'”

Military officials are NOT going to participate in a Trump-induced coup attempt!

Does it seem curious to you, Reverend... that Oneida County stated that there was a 3-5 vote difference from the 90 new votes (without telling anyone which candidate benefited).
and then suddenly some people are suggesting that there is "also" the same 3-5 vote difference between the Candidates overall? It seems like quite the coincidence considering there have been no other official new vote counts this week and the Judge has literally not made any of his rulings public on anything.
In other words, it went from 13 votes in the official counts to somewhere between 11 votes and 16 votes (with 11 being the most common). Since then, the only update is from Oneida county suggesting that they split 90 new votes fairly evenly (split by 3-5 votes was the exactly wording from county officials).
and we now are "also" hearing that same 3-5 vote margin and wording as the overall vote count?
Believe it or not Reverend... but the media gets things wrong. Whether that be a small time newspaper with a reporter probably covering 30 different stories, or CNN, or FOX news.
