Rep. Mike Garcia, R-Saugus, has won a fresh term in Congress as the representative of northern Los Angeles County’s 25th Congressional District after a turbulent campaign that ended in a neck-and-neck race. Challenger Christy Smith conceded the election on Monday, Nov. 30.
After Iowa 02 was certified for Miller-Meeks, there only remains one seat still in play and that would be NY-22 (which is still being wrangled in court).
Many outlets refuse to "call" the certified race in Iowa, because there is a feeling that Rita Hart (D) will challenge the results in court. Some also point to the fact that as a final plea, Hart could ask the House not to seek Miller-Meeks, and in effect have the Democratic controlled House overturn the certified election results. Of course none of that would actually change the fact that Miller-Meeks is the certified winner.
But apparently that same level of deference is not available at the Presidential level as any and all legal challenges are reported as debunked or unsupported before they are even brought. In the Presidential race some outlets called Arizona (0.3%) on election night with hundreds of thousands of ballots outstanding, but are refusing still today to call races that have been certified and conceded where the Republicans won. The fact that open challenges are still pending (and new lawsuits are being filed almost daily) doesn't phase the media nearly as much as the possibility that Congressional races might be reversed in court.
In the NY-22 race, the "final" vote totals still show the Republican Tenney leading the Democrat Brindisi by 12-13 votes depending on the source. Apparently three of the counties showed small adjustments to their previous numbers, but it all evened out in the end.
The judge in this case will be reviewing ballots over the next few days, many of which are broad philosophical challenges that involve multiple ballots. This really comes down to whether or not the NYSSC Justice in this case will be willing to overrule the election boards, which appear (by all accounts) to have played it straight by the books. All it would take is the Judge allowing certain technically illegal ballots to be counted, for Brindisi to overtake Tenney, which of course would prompt an appeal (likely straight to the USSC).

1) that this judge will decide the election and it could be that he allows votes ruled ineligible to be counted. I have no idea how likely that is.

Technically NY-22 will be certified to the Republican this week even as the legal challenges go on. The only judge who can "overturn" that would be the NYSSC Justice in charge of the election legal contest.
At best the USSC could technically rule the other way (if it came to that) and rule that the Judge was wrong and put the race "back" to who was certified the winner.
They could only overturn another judge who is the one who technically overturned the certified election results.

Barr certainly suggests that there was fraud and that those cases have been "run down" or are being "run down". The fact that 100's of dead people voted is 100% evidence of fraud. The fact that people voted twice is 100% evidence of fraud. The fact that people have been charged (including a women who went into a nursing home with absentee blank ballots and left with 74 absentee ballots filled out and is being charged with 74 counts of felony fraud.) is evidence of fraud. They have uncovered multiple instances of multiple types of voter fraud and even evidence of tampering. We know that in some cases complete addresses and other information was entered by poll workers on mail in ballots to "cure" them (when this is technically not legal).
To not only argue... as you are Reverend, that there was no fraud. To demand that "nobody would say there was fraud" is patently ridiculous.

Before the election, he had repeatedly raised the notion that mail-in voter fraud could be especially vulnerable to fraud during the coronavirus pandemic as Americans feared going to polls and instead chose to vote by mail.
Last month, Barr issued a directive to U.S. attorneys across the country allowing them to pursue any “substantial allegations” of voting irregularities, if they existed, before the 2020 presidential election was certified, despite no evidence at that time of widespread fraud. That memorandum gave prosecutors the ability to go around longstanding Justice Department policy that normally would prohibit such overt actions before the election was certified. Soon after it was issued, the department’s top elections crime official announced he would step aside from that position because of the memo.
The Trump campaign team led by Rudy Giuliani has been alleging a widespread conspiracy by Democrats to dump millions of illegal votes into the system with no evidence. They have filed multiple lawsuits in battleground states alleging that partisan poll watchers didn’t have a clear enough view at polling sites in some locations and therefore something illegal must have happened. The claims have been repeatedly dismissed including by Republican judges who have ruled the suits lacked evidence. Local Republicans in some battleground states have followed Trump in making similar unsupported claims.
Trump has railed against the election in tweets and in interviews though his own administration has said the 2020 election was the most secure ever. Trump recently allowed his administration to begin the transition over to Biden, but has still refused to admit he lost.
The issues Trump’s campaign and its allies have pointed to are typical in every election: Problems with signatures, secrecy envelopes and postal marks on mail-in ballots, as well as the potential for a small number of ballots miscast or lost.
But they’ve also requested federal probes into the claims. Attorney Sidney Powell has spun fictional tales of election systems flipping votes, German servers storing U.S. voting information and election software created in Venezuela “at the direction of Hugo Chavez,” – the late Venezuelan president who died in 2013. Powell has since been removed from the legal team after an interview she gave where she threatened to “blow up” Georgia with a “biblical” court filing.
Barr didn’t name Powell specifically but said: “There’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results. And the DHS and DOJ have looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that,” Barr said.
He said people were confusing the use of the federal criminal justice system with allegations that should be made in civil lawsuits. He said such a remedy for those complaints would be a top-down audit conducted by state or local officials, not the U.S. Justice Department.
“There’s a growing tendency to use the criminal justice system as sort of a default fix-all, and if people don’t like something they want the Department of Justice to come in and ‘investigate,’” Barr said.
He said first of all there must be a basis to believe there is a crime to investigate.

We "could" probably say that we know for sure that it didn't happen, but I bet there are still quite a few American liberals who will go to their grave convinced that 2016 was stolen by the Russians with the aid of Trump.

Let's be clear... the Justice department cannot (and should not) just go out willy-nilly investigating every possible "concept" of fraud. They would need actual probable cause along with the time and resources to conduct things. There is neither the time or the political will to do so.

The anomalies of the 23.5 to 1 vote drop and others like that are very real and do exist. What they are "proof" is that at some time in the middle of the night the state Michigan added 141,000 votes to Biden and 4,000 votes for Trump in one drop.
Counties that had that many ballots:
Genesee (54-45 Biden) 198K
Kent (52-46 Biden) 354K
Macomb (54-45 Trump) 497K
Oakland (56-42 Biden) 760K
Ottawa (60-39 trump) 165K
Washtenaw (72-26 Biden) 213K
Wayne (68-30 Biden) 861K
The biggest margin in in Washtenaw (about 3:1 for Biden) but not big enough to absorb that sort of drop. There are only four counties realistically large enough to absorb a drop of that size and two of them went to Trump, while the other two were not in the general vicinity of 23-1. Biden barely beat Trump in Oakland, and beat him by a little more than 2-1 in Wayne.
What is this proof of... again that sometime in the middle of the night 141 thousand votes went to Biden vs 4 thousand for Trump in one drop somewhere and there is nowhere that this sort of margin makes any sense (nor does anyone offer any explanation that makes sense).
The other thing that this statistical analyses proved was that nearly every drop that was considered an anomaly came from one of the battleground states. You didn't see these same anomalies in New York, or California or somewhere that Biden was actually beating the hell out of Trump. They didn't come from New York City or San Francisco or Seattle or any real liberal bastions from liberal states. You saw the biggest pro-Biden drops all in states that were won in some cases won by less than a percent.
That's all it proves, Denny. That it is more than mildly suspicious.

The Justice Department hasn’t found evidence of widespread voter fraud that could reverse President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory, Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday, dealing a blow to President Trump who launched fresh legal claims to contest the results.
Mr. Barr told the Associated Press that federal prosecutors and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents have probed complaints of voter fraud, including allegations around voting machines skewing the results.
“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election,” Mr. Barr told the AP.
With his comments, Mr. Barr, a strong ally of the president, directly contradicted Mr. Trump, who has said the election was stolen from him and refused to concede the race to Mr. Biden. Before the election, Mr. Barr had echoed Mr. Trump’s frequent criticism of mail-in voting, arguing it was ripe for fraud.
Mr. Trump’s legal advisers, including his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, have aired conspiracy theories to explain Mr. Biden’s win, saying voting machines were tampered with and collusion among judges, election officials and elected leaders in large cities swung the race.
Mr. Trump’s legal advisers rejected Mr. Barr’s conclusion.
“With all due respect to the Attorney General, there hasn’t been any semblance of a Department of Justice investigation,” Mr. Giuliani said in a joint statement with another Trump legal adviser, Jenna Ellis.
They said the Justice Department has, to their knowledge, not examined the evidence they have uncovered, including sworn witness testimony.
“Again, with the greatest respect to the Attorney General, his opinion appears to be without any knowledge or investigation of the substantial irregularities and evidence of systemic fraud.” the statement said.
But on Tuesday, Mr. Barr dismissed assertions made by some of Mr. Trump’s allies.
“There’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results,” Mr. Barr told the AP. The Justice Department has “looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that.”
Also on Tuesday, the Trump campaign filed fresh claims in its so-far unsuccessful effort to reverse the election results, asking the Wisconsin Supreme Court to disqualify more than 200,000 mail-in ballots and appealing a Michigan judge’s decision dismissing its legal action there.
The new litigation follows a string of unsuccessful lawsuits elsewhere and comes after every major battleground state has certified results showing Mr. Biden won the election, leaving Mr. Trump with no known path to victory in the courts.
The Wisconsin lawsuit asks the state Supreme Court to do something judges elsewhere so far have refused to do: throw out mass numbers of votes without presenting direct evidence of fraud. Such a large-scale invalidation of votes would be unprecedented in a presidential election. No evidence of widespread fraud has emerged.
In Wisconsin, where state officials say Mr. Biden won by about 20,000 votes, the president’s legal team said in a filing to the state Supreme Court that the collection and counting of absentee ballots in two populous and heavily Democratic counties, Milwaukee and Dane, was marred by “systemic violations” of state election laws.
The suit claims county and city election officials improperly accepted absentee ballots submitted in person without collecting written applications, filled in missing information on returned ballots and staged “unlawful polling locations” in public parks in Madison. The suit also claims that officials allowed voters who weren’t confined to their homes to evade photo-identification requirements to get an absentee ballot.
The campaign’s petition says the court should void certification of the election and that the improper voters, which it says total more than 200,000, should be excluded from the counties’ recount totals.
The lawsuit follows a recount in Milwaukee and Dane counties during which Republicans and Trump campaign officials unsuccessfully asked election officials to disqualify such mail-in ballots. Following the recount, Mr. Biden’s lead grew by under 100 votes.
“As we have said from the very beginning of this process, we want all legal votes and only legal votes to be counted,” Mr. Giuliani said Tuesday.
State and county election officials have said the recount process was transparent and fair and that there was no evidence of voter fraud or widespread errors.
The campaign brought the legal action against Wisconsin’s Democratic governor, Tony Evers, and the state’s bipartisan election commission.
A spokesperson for Mr. Evers pointed to comments he made Monday calling the election he certified “fair, safe and efficient.”
Separately, the Trump campaign asked a Michigan appellate court Monday to revive a lawsuit claiming that state officials failed to ensure that mail-in ballots were properly inspected and monitored inside downtown Detroit’s convention center.
The appeal challenges a judge’s Nov. 6 dismissal of a lawsuit contending that Republicans were prevented from observing the processing of mail-in ballots in Wayne County, which includes Detroit, and pointing to other “troubling election irregularities.”
The Trump campaign seeks a judgment declaring that the handling of the election by Michigan’s Democratic secretary of state, Jocelyn Benson, violated the state’s constitution.
