Yesterday, 2794 Americans died of Covid (according to the World O Meter numbers). This was a slight decrease from the previous few days and puts us on pace to see 77,548 deaths, or 172,844 short of the Moron in waiting's scientific prediction that was lauded by liberals as "a refreshing change in rhetoric" over the lies told to us by the previous President.
Obviously, it's not whether you are right or wrong that matters. It's whether you are willing to be "flat out wrong" in the politically correct manner. This is a little like the price is right, where you want to guess the price of the item (without going over). Only in this case you want to guess the amount of Covid deaths (without going under). Had Trump predicted 75,000 deaths and we were on pace for 77,548 the media would be screaming that he was underestimating the deaths.... even as he was pretty damned close. But as long as you predicted "at least" the 77K you are golden, and the more you are off, well... the merrier.
All that being said, we could have a Election night sort of come back here after the poll watchers are all sent home, and we wake up the next day and suddenly the amount of deaths are increased by 150,000 without any real explanation as to how they got there. After all, I just heard WOM just hired the Fulton County election workers to finish this months Covid count.

Prime Minster Boris Johnson announced a wholesale lockdown of London and southeast England on Saturday.

LONDON — Alarmed by what he called a faster-spreading variant of the coronavirus, Prime Minister Boris Johnson abruptly reversed course on Saturday and imposed a wholesale lockdown on London and most of England’s southeast.
The decision, which Mr. Johnson announced after an emergency meeting of his cabinet, came after the government got new evidence of a variant first detected several weeks ago in Kent, southeast of London, which the prime minister asserted was 70 percent more transmissible than previous versions.
The new measures, which take effect at the end of Saturday night, are designed, in effect, to cut off the capital and its surrounding counties from the rest of England. They are the most severe measures the government has taken since it imposed a lockdown on the country back in March, and they reflect a fear that the new variant could supercharge the transmission of the virus as winter takes hold.
“When the virus changes its method of attack, we must change our method of defense,” a somber Mr. Johnson said at a Saturday afternoon news conference. “We have to act on information as we have it, because this is now spreading very fast.”
Viral mutations are not unusual, and this variant — known as VUI 202012/01 — has been detected in a handful of other countries, but some medical experts expressed alarm about its apparent infectiousness. Some argued that it reinforced the urgency for the government to tighten social restrictions to try to eliminate the virus altogether.
“Elimination is more and more optimal,” said Devi Sridhar, head of the global public health program at the University of Edinburgh. “More virus circulating means more variants and mutations.”
Other scientists cautioned that the rapid spread of the variant did not necessarily mean that it was more transmissible.
The drastic new measures were taken after cabinet ministers were told that cases had nearly doubled in the last week in London, with the new variant accounting for 60 percent of them.
British ministers have been told that there is no evidence that the new variant is inherently more deadly, or that it is more resistant to vaccines than others, but that it is significantly easier to transmit.
That, however, raises the prospect of case numbers growing faster, leading to more hospitalizations and fatalities, and the British government said it had notified the World Health Organization about the prevalence of the new variant.
The new lockdown zone includes all of Greater London and much of the surrounding southeast of the country, a densely populated area encompassing nearly 20 million people, a third of England’s population. The restrictions will remain in place for at least two weeks, and will be reviewed on Dec. 30.
The government told people in this region to stay at home except for a few reasons, including urgent travel, medical appointments and outdoor exercise. Those outside this zone were advised not to travel into it, and those living inside will not be permitted to travel outside overnight. Nonessential shops will close, as will gyms, cinemas, hairdressers and nail salons.
And, though Mr. Johnson said just a few days ago that it would be “inhuman” to cancel Christmas, that will be the practical effect on much of the population with new restrictions on social mixing. A plan to allow three households to meet together over the holiday will be scrapped in London and the southeast, with no household mixing permitted at all.
In other parts of the country three households will be allowed to gather, but only on Christmas Day, and not for the extended five-day period once envisaged.
The announcement on Saturday is an admission that England’s existing system of restrictions, under which the country was divided into three “tiers” with different rules, has not been sufficient to control the spread of the virus. The new area of lockdown will constitute a new, and tougher, fourth tier.
Mr. Johnson already has the legal power to tighten rules and there is no current plan to recall Parliament.
The coronavirus has mutated many times since it emerged in China in 2019, according to epidemiologists. On Friday, South Africa reported it had identified a new variant, which it said was driving a new wave of infections there. It is not clear whether it is same variant as the one identified in Britain.
Most of these variants are not significant or widespread. But as the number of people who have been infected — and, presumably, have developed some immunity — increases, the pressure on the pathogen to mutate also increases. Some of the new variants can be more transmissible or lead to more severe illness than earlier versions of the virus.
“This is potentially serious,” Jeremy Farrar, an infectious disease expert who is director of the Wellcome Trust, said in a statement last week. “The surveillance and research must continue, and we must take the necessary steps to stay ahead of the virus.”
For weeks, Mr. Johnson has struggled to balance his response to the virus with pressure not to further damage the economy. The government instituted a graduated scale of tiers, placing Manchester, Liverpool and other northern cities, where the infection rates were higher, in the most restrictive tier. Life in London remained mostly unchanged.
In November, as infection rates began to climb across the country, Mr. Johnson imposed a new nationwide lockdown. That ignited speculation in British tabloids that he would be forced to “cancel Christmas.” Instead, he vowed to relax restrictions on social mixing for a five-day period around Christmas to allow families to get together.
But last week, amid signs that London had become a new hot spot, Mr. Johnson placed the capital and most of the southeast in Tier 3, the highest level of restrictions. He clung to his promise of a Christmas reprieve from Dec. 23 to Dec. 27, even as he implored people to keep family gatherings brief and small.
“Have yourself a merry little Christmas,” Mr. Johnson said last week, announcing the half measures, “but this year alas, preferably a very little Christmas.”
With the tightened restrictions announced on Saturday, the advisable Christmas became smaller still.

Donald Trump and his administration refused to fight the virus that has infected and killed so many. It seems keeping businesses open and the economy going was Trump's main objective, and he chose a path that would damn many Americans to suffering a death. He didn't want to stop the virus. To help with the Trump Administration's efforts to allow the virus to spread stooges were installed in the Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) to interfere with the CDC. One such stooge, Paul Alexander had this to say in an official email regarding school closings and lock downs:
"We essentially took off the battlefield the most potent weapon we had ... younger healthy people, children, teens, young people we needed to fastly [SIC] infect themselves," and "spread it around..."
Alexander and others like him were installed by the Trump Administration in an effort to override the science and to spread denial of the dangers the virus imposed. The Trump Administration wanted people to become infected and the cost of their well laid out planned would kill thousands of Americans. Trump pursued a strategy that would help spread the virus rather than try to contain it. Remember the words of his Chief of Staff Mark Meadows? "We're not going to control the pandemic." Meadows stood true to his word.
This strategy also played out among several Republican governors across the country, like Florida's Governor Ron DeSantis. Under DeSantis' leadership information about cases and deaths in Florida has been withheld or covered up. Agencies were prevented from reporting information that would have helped stop the spread of the virus and an executive order from DeSantis prevented local officials from enforcing ordinances across the state pertaining to social distancing, mask wearing and the occupancy numbers of bars and restaurants.
It turns out, the President of the United States, and those who acted on his behalf, like DeSantis, were Covid-19's best friends. The people who they were suppose to protect, like me and you, were treated as adversaries in the war against the virus. All Americans were treated as enemies in their theater of operations.
Virtually every state is now complaining they are not getting the number of vaccine doses they were promised by the federal government, anywhere from 20 to 40 percent less doses. Phizer is saying they have millions of doses on hand and ready to ship, but the government won't tell them where to ship them. At the same time, the government is saying the problem lies with Phizer. This is the first week of the project to vaccinate the country and already the government is failing. It will be interesting to see if the Moderna vaccine experiences the same problem.

I have good reason to despise this Russia-loving Traitor who is supposed to be our Commander-In-Chief.
I spent 1/4 of my life (almost half of my adult years) in the military defending our country against Russia and the Soviet Union. I sacrificed so much, as all our military do, particularly those in the Navy or those sent overseas. In the Navy, even in peacetime, you go on 9 month deployments every year, and the three months you're not deployed you spend several weeks on and off on loal "test" cruises for anywhere from 5 days to two weeks. I saw very little of my family when I was in the Navy, including my wife and daughter. I missed almost every important event in my daughters life, including her graduation from high school.
I missed most birthdays, holidays, weddings and funerals. I was only allowed to attend one of my grandparents funerals, and that was because I lied and said my grandfather raised me. Otherwise, I would not have been given emergency leave to attend his funeral. Grandparents are not considered "immediate" family unless they raised you - At least that was the rule when I was in.
I'm NOT complaining about my sacrifice. I chose a Navy career. What I'm complaining about is that after all I sacrified I now have to witness a traitor acting as Commander-In-Chief !!!!

Director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro published a lengthy report Thursday outlining several examples of voting irregularities that are “more than sufficient” to swing the outcome of the election in President Trump’s favor.
The 36-page report “assesses the fairness and integrity of the 2020 Presidential Election by examining six dimensions of alleged election irregularities across six key battleground states” and concludes that “patterns of election irregularities ... are so consistent across the six battleground states that they suggest a coordinated strategy to, if not steal the election, strategically game the election process in such a way as to ... unfairly tilt the playing field in favor of the Biden-Harris ticket.”
The six dimensions of voting irregularities in the report include:
outright voter fraud,
ballot mishandling,
contestable process fouls,
equal protection clause violations,
voting machine irregularities,
and significant statistical anomalies.
All six of those voting issues were present in at least two key states, according to the report, and a total of six battleground states experienced multiple examples of the other dimensions.
“Evidence used to conduct this assessment includes more than 50 lawsuits and judicial rulings, thousands of affidavits and declarations, testimony in a variety of state venues, published analyses by think tanks and legal centers, videos and photos, public comments, and extensive press coverage,” the report claims.
Additionally, the report cites affidavits alleging the exploitation of the elderly and the infirm by “effectively hijacking their identities and votes” and accuses Democrats of using the coronavirus pandemic to relax voter ID requirements to the point that ballot harvesting and fraud could slip by unnoticed.
The report outlined incidents in the key states of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where ballots allegedly were illegally harvested and dumped into drop boxes.
The election was marred with examples of dead people voting, according to the report.
“In Pennsylvania, for example, a statistical analysis conducted by the Trump Campaign matching voter rolls to public obituaries found what appears to be over 8,000 confirmed dead voters successfully casting mail-in ballots,” the report claims. “In Georgia — underscoring the critical role any given category of election irregularities might play in determining the outcome — the estimated number of alleged deceased individuals casting votes almost exactly equals the Biden victory margin."
The report concludes: “The ballots in question because of the identified election irregularities are more than sufficient to swing the outcome in favor of President Trump should even a relatively small portion of these ballots be ruled illegal.”
Navarro, who worked on the report in a private capacity, is scheduled to hold a news conference at 1 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday to discuss the findings.
Trump has launched legal battles across the country since the November election, which has been called for President-elect Joe Biden by all major news networks and certified by the Electoral College, and as recently as this week stated that it’s “too soon to give up.”
Dozens of legal challenges across the country, however, have been lost, and the Supreme Court has declined to hear cases from both Texas and Pennsylvania challenging the election, which Trump’s supporters have decried as a politically motivated ducking.
Several Republicans, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, have broken with the president and conceded that Biden is the winner of the election. McConnell congratulated Biden on Wednesday, declaring that “the Electoral College has spoken.”
Additionally, Biden slammed claims of voter fraud this week, saying, "Thankfully, a unanimous Supreme Court immediately and completely rejected" efforts to overturn the election.
