Ever notice that facts drive liberals crazy?

A Troubled Rule of Law
Inflammatory rhetoric poured forth from every institution in the country—from the presidency, Congress, corporations, law firms, banks, tech companies, academia, and the public school system. The mainstream media pounded home the narrative about unchanging black oppression. And even after the verdict, the White House (perhaps that name will be gone in another year) and the press have doubled down on the systemic racism conceit, despite the coordinated effort to convict among Minnesota’s public officials and the state’s most prestigious members of the private bar.

In 2020, the police fatally shot 18 allegedly unarmed blacks (unarmed being defined extremely loosely to include suspects grabbing an officer’s gun or fleeing in a car with a loaded pistol on the seat). That represents 0.2 percent of all blacks who died of homicide in 2020, and an infinitesimal percentage of the 40 million blacks in the U.S. If the police ended all fatal shootings tomorrow, it would have a negligible effect on the black death-by-homicide rate, which is 13 times higher than the white death-by-homicide rate for decedents between the ages of ten and 43.

Over 8600 blacks were murdered in 2020 according to reports, this was an increase of over a thousand from 2019. Approximately 90% of those murders were committed by other blacks. Moreover, only 18 of them were the sort of unarmed black man police shooting that had led to the largest social unrest probably in most of our life times. Nobody riots, loots, or lashes out over the two dozen daily killings. Rather they turn their ire on those unarmed black person police shootings, which takes place about once every three weeks, and is almost aways deemed to be warranted under the circumstances.

Yet, to listen to the rhetoric, the average black person cannot walk outside their doors without fearing for their lives. Not from the two dozen daily random murders committed at the hands of other black people, but from the police. Nobody bothers to point out that 99% of  those police shootings take place during police calls and criminal apprehension. Nobody bothers to point out that nearly every instance involved someone choosing on their own to resist arrest. Nope. Just rhetoric to drive emotions.  Moreover, this is amplified all the way to the top, by our commander in chief who either is just as blind to the facts or sees it as a political calculation.

Yet President Joe Biden took the occasion of the conviction to recycle his favorite “white supremacy” themes from his allegedly “unifying” inaugural speech and campaign rhetoric. Biden said from the White House. The “summer of protest” had sent the message, according to Biden: “Enough. Enough. Enough of the senseless killings.”

Biden was not referring to the senseless killing of seven-year-old Jaslyn Adams, gunned down in a Chicago McDonald’s over the weekend. He was not referring to the four dozen black children who were killed last year in their beds, front porches, back porches, at barbecues and family birthday parties, and in their parents’ cars. He was not referring to the dozens of blacks killed every day in drive-by shootings—more than all white and Hispanic homicide victims combined—even though blacks are only 12 percent of the nation’s population. Those thousands of black deaths get no attention from the Black Lives Matter movement and its most fervent press acolytes because the homicide perpetrators are other blacks, not the police or whites.

The only thing senseless in all of this is the fact the people like Joe Biden and others simply refuse to look at the true cause of violence in the black community. Has the rioting led to a safer environment for blacks? To the contrary, there are now approximately 100 more monthly murders than there had been in 2019. If you don't believe that this has much to do with these riots and police officers no longer wanting to respond to calls for fear that they might have to engage a black criminal and put them in a position to lose their job or even their freedom if force is required, then you are out to lunch.

Sorry liberals, but those are the inconvenient facts here. I understand the "facts" are a frustrating thing for liberals to handle. But until we address the "facts" rather than the rhetoric, none of this will ever be resolved. Of course, we can't assume that liberals and their black race baiters actually want to see any of this resolved. But that is a whole other topic of discussion.

Other huge impacts are the disintegration of the nuclear family and the disadvantage schooling of minorities.

Democrats are on the wrong side of both.

Being beholden to teachers unions and fighting against school choice is keeping minorities on the "plantation".

To democrats only skin color matters, and keeping their lower educated voter base in line.

Politics over people, while their rhetoric is the opposite, and often intentionally inflammatory.

And fanned by big tech and the FAKE NEWS media or conveniently not covered or silenced.

Everyone knows that black on black crime is rampant and that quite a lot of it, though not all, is attributable to illegal drugs and drug trafficking, often by people whose job possibilities are limited and who live in depressed areas of our inner cities and larger towns.

And I'm sure it may even be true that police kill more whites each year than blacks.

But I just wonder if Ch can tell us how many videos he knows that
show a white man being shot in the back as he is fleeing from a cop of any color?

I personally know of none, but I have seen two involving black men and white cops.

How many videos show a white man being shot in the back seven times as he is pulling away from a cop of any color?

I personally know of none, but one involving a black man and a white cop.

How many videos show a young white man in a service station who, asked for identification, is immediately shot at multiple times and hit at least once by a cop of any color the moment he turns to retrieve the requested i.d. from his truck?

I personally know of none, but of one involving a young black man and a white cop.

How many videos show a white man sitting in a car with his wife or girlfriend and a child in the back who is shot by a cop of any color when, asked for i.d., he reaches for it?

I personally know of none, but of one involving a black man and a white cop.

How many videos show a young white teenage girl who is shot dead by a cop of any color because she has a knife?

I personally know of none, but have seen two involving young black teenage girls and white cops.

How many videos show a young white teenager who, when asked to drop his gun and hold up empty hands, is shot when he does exactly that?

I personally know of none, but of one involving a young hispanic and a white cop.

How many videos show a middle aged white man who, facing an arrest, is shot dead by a cop of any color as he tries to flee in a car?

I know of none, but I think one that shows a black man shot by a white cop in that very situation in Elizabeth City, NC is about to be released, if it has not already been.

And the list, I think, could go on, and on, and on and on...

and it keeps being added to.

That did get a lot of coverage but it was framed for a particular narrative.

The fact that there twice as many white men killed by police as black men and you have not once seen a video is actually my point, Reverend. Not sure if you are trying to make a "different" point?

Perhaps you "actually" believe that if it is not caught on video and uploaded to social media, that the situation doesn't exist? Perhaps "that" is your point? I sure hope not, but I guess anything is possible. Otherwise (lack of the idea that without social media something doesn't exist) - I don't see what you are getting at.

btw....

Did you see the reference to Tony Timpa? The white guy who died in a remarkably similar way to George Floyd. Only in that case the police officers were seen on body cams making fun of him, and they actually held him in prone position for a longer period of time than Floyd.

He, like Floyd, was found to have died from sudden cardiac arrest... in his case secondarily caused by cocaine and stress associated with the physical restraint. Floyd's death certificate and official autopsy was the same cardiac arrest and secondarily caused by underlying heart disease, Fentanyl, and stress associated with the arrest, the resisting, and the restraint. So Floyd actually had "more" conditions than Timpa.

White guy died of arrest under prone position restraint - no charges, no riots
Black guy died of arrest under prone position restraint - $100,000 of dollars spent to prosecute, billions in riot destruction

I wonder if you can explain that to me, Reverend?

Did it not actually happen because you didn't watch some edited video on YouTube?

The difference (when the dead suspect was White) was that none of this was apparently grounds for protests, it was not grounds for the State spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in a prosecution to undermine and change the official "cause of death' to "positional asphyxia". They just trusted that the Medical Examiner was capable of doing his job (which like Baker - that doctor probably was). More to the point, Timpa probably did die of an arrest (not asphyxia).

During the late 60s the same shit happened. Back then the Democratic party had a Dixiecrat branch of the party. But they had an abortion and they evicted the Dixiecrats.

But since then they took over the older Confederacy, they have returned to be the second calling for the Jim Crow era and even a formerly respected blogger has joined the Jim Crow family, and and again in and again and again and again.

The bottom line is that it is far more likely that the jury was persuaded by the case laid out by the prosecution. On one hand, the defense lawyer had an advantage, because he only had to persuade one juror. But on the other hand, convincing anyone that kneeling on someone’s neck for nine minutes could not have contributed to their death is no easy task.

The defense will undoubtedly appeal the case. However, it is not likely that such an effort will lead to an acquittal.

Scott the self proclaimed lawyer will say that this will trigger an acquittal on Officer Chauvin

Former police officer Derek Chauvin deserves a "maximum sentence," Rep. Karen Bass, D-Calif., said Sunday on ABC's "This Week" after he was convicted in the murder of George Floyd.

"When we have seen the occasional guilty verdict, it is (rarely) followed by the maximum sentence, and considering the egregious nature of the torturing to death of George Floyd, a maximum sentence I think is absolutely needed," she told "This Week" Anchor George Stephanopoulos.

Following Chauvin’s conviction Monday, many politicians and activists continue to call for federal legislation to address police brutality in the wake of several recent shootings of unarmed people of color since the verdict!

Blacks, which here means non-Hispanic blacks, were 12.5% of the U.S. population, and non-Hispanic whites were 60.4%. It thus appears from this data that the black per capita violent crime rate is roughly 2.3 to 2.8 times the rate for the country as a whole, while the white per capita violent crime rate is roughly 0.7 to 0.9 times the rate for the country as a whole.

It also appears that the arrest rates for violent crime are roughly comparable to the rates of offending, especially if one takes into account those offenses reported to the police (which is a choice of the victims, not of police departments). And the great bulk of such violent crime is intraracial.

When Rep. Karen Bass’ “friend and mentor” died three years ago, she eulogized the community organizer’s passing in remarks she inserted into the Congressional Record.

The California Democrat described Oneil Marion Cannon as a one-man force in progressive politics who became the “union printer to the left” in Los Angeles, where he worked for “interracial and intercultural understanding,” opened a community hub and even once “belonged to the Independent Progressive Party.”

Left out of the 406-word eulogy: Cannon was a top member of the Communist Party USA for decades.

BYRON YORK: An Outrage From The FBI.

On June 14, 2017, a team of Republican lawmakers went to an athletic field in Alexandria, Virginia to practice for the annual Congressional Baseball Game for Charity. As they worked out, a man armed with a semi-automatic rifle and pistol approached and opened fire. Representative Steve Scalise, the House Republican whip, was gravely wounded. A lobbyist was also seriously hurt, and a congressional aide and Capitol Police officer were wounded, as well.

The shooter, James Hodgkinson of Belleville, Illinois, was an active Bernie Sanders supporter who hated Republicans and particularly hated then-President Donald Trump. “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.,” Hodgkinson posted on his Facebook page. He thought of himself as part of the Resistance. He joined Facebook groups like “Terminate The Republican Party” and “Join The Resistance Worldwide!!”

Hodgkinson came to the Washington area in 2017, living out of a van parked in Alexandria. He brought his guns and developed a plan to attack Republicans. He went to the baseball field with a list of several GOP members of Congress in his pocket, along with physical descriptions of some of them. Before the attack, he asked Republican Representative Jeff Duncan, who was leaving practice early, whether the players on the field were Republicans or Democrats. Duncan said it was the Republican team. A short time later, Hodgkinson opened fire. After a rampage of nearly ten minutes, he was killed by Capitol Police and Alexandria Police.

The attack was a clear act of violent, politically-motivated domestic terrorism. There was simply no doubt about that. And yet last week, Republican Representative Brad Wenstrup, who had been at the practice, revealed that the FBI concluded Hodgkinson was simply trying to commit “suicide by cop.”

The FBI is on the other side. They’re not even trying to hide it.

Are you now suggesting that there is a responsibility for someone to bring the "white people" being killed by the cops rhetoric to play... or it otherwise doesn't exist?

And who, specifically, is supposed to do this?

Because I certainly am not that person.

Nor do I know of anyone on the "right" who gets upset every time a criminal is killed committing a crime, resisting arrest, attacking cops, or fleeing a scene.

That is the sole triggering of those of you on the left.

So it would also be YOUR responsibility to make sure that both white scum bag criminals and minority scum bad criminals are held to the same level of hero status every time they end up on the wrong side of a dispute with law enforcement.

That is... unless you want to admit you are a racist and see these things differently depending on what color the criminal is? Because that is the truth, whether you admit it or not.

Personally I don't feel that a criminal actively resisting arrest, high on drugs, who dies largely because of their own decisions (and could have been avoided in a hundred different ways by themselves) are "victims" here, much less heroes or pillars to be held up as examples. Quite frankly I couldn't care less if those high on drug criminals resisting arrest are White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, or Martian.

Well Roger...

I have been pulled over multiple times by the police for a variety of traffic violations. I even got written a ticket or two in my time.

A few times I was asked to get out of the car and do a sobriety test. As a musician I was often times driving home at 1:00-2:00 in the morning, when the cops are on alert for drunk drivers.

Never once did I refuse to show my hands, refused to get out of the car when asked, refused to follow orders, gave the officers any attitude, or did any thing to provoke them in any manner, shape, or form.

If George Floyd had acted as I have in every instance I had with police officers. Had shown his hands, had gotten out of the car. Had gotten into the back of the police car as asked. Had not kicked at officers or gotten violent.

He never would have died.

So Roger... stop acting as if the cops just pulled a black man out of a car and threw him to the ground for no reason. It's a lie and a stupid argument to make.

Public Opinion Analysis –
By Glynn Wilson –

The story is so far so good for President Joe Biden in his first 100 days in office as a clear majority of Americans support the job he is doing. Public opinion survey research shows his job approval rating at 57 percent positive, according to the latest Gallup poll.

It’s worth noting that Biden’s predecessor Donald Trump never reached majority support of 50 percent in his four tumultuous years in the White House. Only 41 percent of Americans rated him positively in his first 100 days.

It’s also worth nothing that Barack Obama was far more popular. The first African American president enjoyed a 65 percent positive rating after his first 100 days.

Public approval of Biden in his first 100 days is similar to the ratings of George W. Bush, who Gallup had at 58 percent in 2001, and Bill Clinton, who stood at 55 percent in 1993.

“Of the other two presidents who served during the past three decades, Obama, with a 63 percent first-quarter approval rating, was above par for the period, while Trump was well below par, averaging an all-time low of 41 percent,” Gallup says in its analysis.

But the data shows that America is still divided along partisan lines, with 94 percent of Democrats rating Biden’s performance positively, while only 11 percent of Republicans say they approve of him.

His current ratings by gender, age, race and education are also predictable, with higher support from women, younger adults, non-whites and college graduates than older, uneducated white men.

----

The tax increases could be a problem for the President and the Democrats in 2022 if the economy doesn't get better than before the covid-19 pandemic.

But, if the economy continues to grow even faster than before, the Democratic candidates will do better than before in the last few decades.

12 days since Jacob Blake was paralyzed.

? Days until Senate Dems come to their senses, vote to move forward, get to conference committee and see police reform signed into law.

Now democrats support police reform.

And now the Washington Post is writing malicious falsehoods against the black Republican Senator who was leading the charge.

In fact democrats filibustered police reform legislation.

Now democrats are against the filibuster.

They say it encourages bad behavior.

Obviously by themselves when they are in the minority.

They wanted an issue, not a solution

Let me run a scenario by you Roger...

You have a daughter. For sake of privacy I will leave her name out and say her name is Cheri (similar, but not her real name). Let's say Cheri is in an abusive relationship. She files for and gets an order of protection.

You, as her father, should be on her side, hoping that this abusive man stays away from Cheri. You might even be somewhat compelled to kick the guys ass if he continues to try and harm your daughter.

Either way, this guy shows up at your daughter's place in spite of the order. She is scared out of her mind and calls 911. The police are dispatched.

He breaks in before they get there. He digitally penetrates her (sexual abuse). Smells his finger and tells your daughter that she "smells like she has been with other men". Cheri is scared out of her mind.

He goes into your daughter's wallet, takes one of her credit cards. Then he takes the keys to her vehicle. Proceeds to leave with her card and car keys.

By that time, the police have arrived. They meet the abusive ex-boyfriend of your daughters, who has just sexually abused your daughter again. They attempt to detain him, he fights through two taser shots, punches one of officers in the face.

He then pulls out a knife and starts swinging it around. He tells the officers that he has a gun in the vehicle and they better back off. He runs towards the vehicle opens the door, starts to reach or get in, and an officer shoots him.

So now, Roger... you as a father. Where do you stand? When the Vice President of the United States jumps into this issue and tells everyone that she is "proud"... not of your daughter (for having to endure this physical assault and robbery)... not for the police who came to protect your daughter... but she is proud of the abusive ex-boyfriend who terrorized and sexually abused your daughter and tried to drive off with her credit card im her vehicle.

How does it feel... that as a liberal... it becomes your responsibility to tell your daughter to suck it up and deal with it, and that the police where wrong and that the real "hero" in this whole deal was her abusive ex-boyfriend.

Why? because he was black.

Because as a conservative...

I can tell it exactly as it is, and say I feel no sympathy for the asshole who attacked your daughter and that he is lucky to still be alive. I can say that because I am not obligated to back up every black criminal who has a run in with the law.

Republicans Still Can’t Land a Glove on Biden

In many of the battles the Republican Party has fought during President Biden’s early days in office, there’s one person the GOP has largely ignored: Biden himself, NBC News reports.

Said a GOP Senate aide:
“It’s not really a unified front against him. He sort of gets lost in the shuffle sometimes.”

ACTUALLY, IT'S SORT OF HARD TO LAND AN INDECENT HAND ON DECENCY.

“Vice President Kamala Harris confirmed Sunday that she was the last person in the room before President Joe Biden made the decision to pull all U.S. troops out of Afghanistan,” Politico reports.

Harris said that Biden “is acutely aware that it may not be politically popular, or advantageous for him personally; it’s really something to see.”

She added:
“I have seen him over and over again make decisions based exactly on what he believes is right.”

Tell me why you are not upset about those police killings, Revered?

I'm sure, but only because you've surrounded yourself with black acquaintances as fucking stupid as you are.

Growing up, my son had a huge circle of friends, about half of whom were black. One was driving home from college one night, fell asleep and crashed his car. Naturally the crash woke him up, and being a strong kid, college football linebacker, he managed to survive and crawl out of the wreck. The NYS Police were on the scene within minutes, ran him through the standard sobriety test which he passed because he had not been drinking, and as he cooperated with the white troopers the cops arranged for a friend to pick him up, got the car towed, etc...

Moral of the story, big black kid decides NOT to be an asshole and give the cops a hard time, there is no problem other than a totaled car and an increase in his car insurance.

You brought up the idea that black people were afraid of being pulled over by the police. You said you ex-wife was scared because of a bad tail light.

Comparing a simple traffic stop and likening it to people who are non-cooperative, resist arrest, becomes violent, or flee...

Is actually exactly what you are claiming here. An invalid comparison.

So I am asking you to make a valid comparison. If black people need to be worried about being shot while cooperating, then provide me with numerous examples.

The closest thing I can recall are a couple of instances where the claim was that the driver "reached" for a wallet or "reached" in the glove box prior to being asked and a trigger happy cop shot. But then again, that same thing has happened to people of all races as well. It happened not too long ago in my area. A person was shot while reaching in his glove box while the cop was coming up to the car. This guy was white, but did have an outstanding warrant. I suspect the cop was on edge because this was a guy with a record who he was likely going to have to arrest.

Indianapolis mass shooting
Sun, Apr 25, 2021

Mark Barden:
Last Friday, I woke up to the news of yet another mass shooting – this time in Indianapolis at a FedEx facility, where eight people were murdered. In less than a month, there have been horrific mass shootings in Atlanta, Boulder, Orange County and now Indianapolis – and many more that never made the national news.

Each shooting brings me right back to the moment my life as I knew it ended – the moment I learned that my sweet little Daniel had been murdered in his first-grade classroom. My heart breaks for the families whose loved ones will never come home – because I know the pain never goes away.

I feel angry. I feel defeated. I feel like I've failed them.

But more than anything, I blame Congress for years of inaction. While we don't have all the details about this latest mass shooting yet, we know the legislative solutions we need to prevent gun violence. Now it's time to pass them before the next tragedy – starting with a bipartisan background checks bill.

Every moment this legislation sits in the Senate without a vote, more lives are at risk. That's why I'm personally asking you to join me and help us reach 100,000 people by tomorrow standing together to demand senators immediately expand background checks to keep guns out of dangerous hands.

Demand that the Senate finally passes the bipartisan background checks bill that we know will prevent future tragedies and save precious lives from gun violence.

I still carry a photo of my sweet little Daniel with me everywhere – not because I want people to feel sorry for me, but because I want them to look at the human toll of gun violence.

For my little boy, for all the lives we've lost and for the lives we can still save – thank you for speaking out today to demand action. Together, we can end this madness.

The false Systematic racism campaign is a Communist Revolution.

Christopher F. Rufo
Critical race theory is fast becoming America’s new institutional orthodoxy. Yet most Americans have never heard of it—and of those who have, many don’t understand it. This must change. We need to know what it is so we can know how to fight it.

To explain critical race theory, it helps to begin with a brief history of Marxism. Originally, the Marxist Left built its political program on the theory of class conflict.

By the mid-1960s, Marxist intellectuals in the West had begun to acknowledge these failures. They recoiled at revelations of Soviet atrocities and came to realize that workers’ revolutions would never occur in Western Europe or the United States, which had large middle classes and rapidly improving standards of living. Americans in particular had never developed a sense of class consciousness or class division. Most Americans believed in the American dream—the idea that they could transcend their origins through education, hard work, and good citizenship.

But rather than abandon their political project, Marxist scholars in the West simply adapted their revolutionary theory to the social and racial unrest of the 1960s.

Fortunately, the early proponents of this revolutionary coalition in the U.S. lost out in the 1960s to the civil rights movement, which sought instead the fulfillment of the American promise of freedom and equality under the law. Americans preferred the idea of improving their country to that of overthrowing it.

But the radical Left has proved resilient and enduring—which is where critical race theory comes in.

Systemic racism is an academic discipline, formulated in the 1990s and built on the intellectual framework of identity-based Marxism. Relegated for many years to universities and obscure academic journals, it has increasingly become the default ideology in our public institutions over the past decade. The replacement people of color have been injected into government agencies, public school systems, teacher training programs, and corporate human-resources departments, in the form of diversity-training programs, human-resources modules, public-policy frameworks, and school curricula.

Its supporters deploy a series of euphemisms to describe critical race theory, including “equity,” “social justice,” “diversity and inclusion,” and “culturally responsive teaching.” Critical race theorists, masters of language construction, realize that “neo-Marxism” would be a hard sell. Equity, on the other hand, sounds non-threatening and is easily confused with the American principle of equality. But the distinction is vast and important. Indeed, critical race theorists explicitly reject equality—the principle proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence, defended in the Civil War, and codified into law with the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. To them, equality represents “mere nondiscrimination” and provides “camouflage” for white supremacy, patriarchy, and oppression.

In contrast to equality, systematic racism as defined and promoted by critical race theorists like Sleepy Joe and Kamala Harris " the fake African American Woman" is little more than reformulated Marxism.

An equity-based form of government with a middle class would mean the end not only of private property but also of individual rights, equality under the law, federalism, and freedom of speech. These would be replaced by race-based redistribution of wealth, group-based rights, active discrimination, and omnipotent bureaucratic authority. Historically, the accusation of “anti-Americanism” has been overused. But in this case, it’s not a matter of interpretation: critical race theory prescribes a revolutionary program that would overturn the principles of the Declaration and destroy the remaining structure of the Constitution by the Democratic party.

http://mass-shootings.info/statistics.php?year=2020

Perhaps it is exactly the same sort of issue, huh? You don't hear much about the vast majority of mass shootings because the media (and social media) is only interested when it is a White person with a rifle. Most of these mass shootings are performed with handguns, not rifles.

Interestingly, certain people have literally created a mass-shooting statistic that basically removes anything that might be gang related or in other cases only include shootings that use rifles (as if it matters why multiple people are shot to death).

When the statistics don't tell the story they want to tell, they change the statistics.

Young Adults Are Reshaping the Electoral Map

Associated Press:
“Once solidly conservative places such as Texas have seen increasingly large islands of liberalism sprout in their cities, driven by the migration of younger adults, who lean Democratic. Since 2010, the 20-34-year-old population has increased by
24% in San Antonio,
22% in Austin and
19% in Houston…
In November’s election, two states that also saw sharp growth in young people in their largest cities — Arizona and Georgia — flipped Democratic in the presidential contest.

“As mostly college-educated transplants have relocated to Denver and its satellite communities, Colorado has gone from being a solidly Republican state to a competitive swing state to a solidly Democratic one. It’s a pattern that some political experts expect could be replicated in other states importing loads of young people, even traditionally conservative Texas.”

“You cannot underestimate how comfortable Uncle Joe is for a lot of people. They give an old, white guy the benefit of the doubt.

“Even as Biden has pushed activist policy, he’s succeeded in lowering the temperature of Washington’s political debates.
That reduced partisan intensity has helped him, strategists in both parties say. But it could create a problem down the road, depriving Biden of the fervent support that can sustain a president in bad times.”

Not everything is a black white thing just like not everything is about Trump.

There was never anyone at any time that tied any of the four Minneapolis cops to any racism at all. In fact two of the four are minorities themselves and Chauvin was married to a minority and raised minority children.

The only real issue is whether or not Floyd (as a person) would have still been alive today if not for a multitude of decisions. He would still be alive if not for:

1) Passing fake $20s
2) Being inebriated in public to the point a clerk called 911
3) Taking 11 ng/ml of Fentanyl
4) Resisting arrest
5) Refusing to get into a police car

To not acknowledge that these were his decisions is simply not acknowledging reality. It's not a matter of "blaming" someone to point out obvious facts.

There is a difference between "deserves" and being responsible for your own decisions. I know many people who have died prematurely due to things that ended up being their own fault. I remember a friend who wrapped his motorcycle around a tree and died the summer after he graduated. Many of us said he didn't need the size bike he bought (he was an inexperienced rider who bought a way too powerful crotch rocket) and he just wasn't careful.

There is really nobody else to blame other than this particular person.

Republican Grothman once again brings shame to the country, to Wisconsin, and to any friends he might have had by attacking Black women, accusing them of the "moral decline of America." This episode stems from Grothman going on the floor of Congress to blame rapper Cardi B for her performance in this year's Grammy awards show, in which she performed her hit song "WAP," saying that it was "inconsistent with basic decency."

Grothman has a long history of blaming everything on Black people, especially Black women. In the past he's attacked Kwanzaa, said that Black women would rather have children out of wedlock because they wanted that sweet, sweet welfare check for a couple hundred bucks per month, and justified voting for some of the most oppressive voter suppression laws in the country because when people vote illegally, they usually vote for Democrats.

The censorship of this generation is the most dangerous thing to Anglo Saxon Europeans who came in 1621!

Even before Twitter banned Donald Trump and Amazon stopped hosting the social media site Parler on its web services, free-speech controversies had been regularly erupting at newspapers, magazines, websites, and book publishers. Notable recent cases involved high-profile journalists decamping from their established media homes to independent platforms where they could express themselves freely. The departures, under pressure, of Matt Yglesias last November from the website Vox, which he cofounded, and Andrew Sullivan in July from New York, where he was one of the magazine’s most popular writers, made them fellow travelers with a more conservative journalist, Bari Weiss, who left the New York Times last summer, saying, “If a person’s ideology is in keeping with the new orthodoxy, they and their work remain unscrutinized. Everyone else lives in fear of the digital thunderdome.”

Many on the right have seen these departures as examples of a troubling clampdown on free speech, but some progressives dismissed the moves as opportunistic; Sullivan and others have won large readerships at their new homes, they noted. After political scientist Yascha Mounk tweeted support for Yglesias’s move, New York Times tech reporter Mike Isaac countered that Mounk “conveniently ignores the fact that people w/large followings are making bank by jumping ship.”

True enough. After Sullivan left New York, he quickly attracted some 60,000 subscribers to his new newsletter on the independent online platform Substack; he more than doubled the income he was earning at the magazine, he said. One media critic described Sullivan’s success as “gut curdling” to other journalists. Substack reportedly recruited Yglesias, offering him a hefty advance to join after news of his clashes within Vox emerged. Among the other popular features on Substack are Mounk’s free-speech newsletter Persuasion, which aims “to persuade, rather than to mock or troll, those who disagree with us” and gained about 25,000 subscribers just weeks after it debuted in April 2020; and former Rolling Stone reporter Matt Taibbi’s widely read media criticism, published under the rubric TK News.

None of these voices has faced any threat to their speech from government, which is, of course, what the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects citizens from. Instead, they have confronted a pervasive new menace: a cultural shift in key elite institutions, especially the media (including social media) and academia, which have made many recently acceptable, even anodyne, opinions suddenly forbidden. The punishment for expressing these beliefs is to get pushed out of those institutions and lose one’s livelihood.

THE AGENDA
Michigan GOP congressman:
'I would say my goal is to not be a hypocrite'

Peter Meijer remains a target for voting to impeach Donald Trump.

Rep. Peter Meijer said Republicans need to stop living in "a perpetual state of denial" about the way they lost power in 2020.
By DAVID COHEN

Three months after voting to impeach President Donald Trump, freshman Rep. Peter Meijer sees plenty to be critical of on both sides of the aisle in Washington.

Speaking Sunday on CNN's "Inside Politics With Abby Phillip," Meijer (R-Mich.) expressed disappointment both with Republican persistence in challenging the integrity of the 2020 election and the inability of Democrats to act in a bipartisan manner.

Meijer was one of 10 Republicans to vote for impeachment in January, something that made him stand out in the GOP very soon after being sworn in — and a target of scorn within the party. He's already drawn a primary challenge for 2022 from Tom Norton, a veteran of the war in Afghanistan and strong supporter of Trump.

"I would say my goal is to not be a hypocrite," Meijer told Phillip. "To be able to call balls and strikes fairly and have a voice that is credible even if somebody might not have the same beliefs or agree on the political side."

He said Republicans need to stop living in "a perpetual state of denial" about the way they lost power in 2020.

"We lost the presidency in 2020. We lost the Senate in 2021. So we need to get back to a point where we could be offering some solutions, and earning the trust of the voter and get that rare privilege of governing on behalf of the American people," he said.

The Michigan Republican also said that Washington's Democrats have missed an opportunity to advance the cause of good government.

"If you're a progressive, you've seen a lot of just wild sums of taxpayer dollars thrown toward — or just thrown vaguely in the direction of things that you like," he said. "If you were hoping to see some bipartisan consensus, if you're hoping to see governance from the middle, I think you've been sorely disappointed."

Addressing one of the nation's hottest issues, Meijer said that much of the rhetoric surrounding election reform measures is overheated.

"I think one of the biggest challenges is that election integrity is important to everybody. But how you hear it depends very much on where you sit. The idea that Republicans are out to broadly disenfranchise folks is false. The idea that all of these elections were stolen is also false," he said.
______

The idea that all of these elections were stolen is indeed false.

But the idea that Republicans are out to broadly disenfranchise BLACK FOLKS is SO very TRUE.

That's how I hear it, and it's correct.

When police arrived at the scene, according to @MIRSnews, Democrat State Rep. Jewell Jones and his unidentified female passenger were found with their pants down as the Tahoe remained in the ditch.

(WARNING - IT GETS GRAPHIC): Jones was "holding the woman up" near the passenger side door, according to a police report obtained by MIRSnews. The woman's pants "were down" as she vomited and Jewell's pants "were partially down" when a paramedic arrived at the crash site.

Police engaged in a struggle with Jones, and at one point as Jones is on the ground struggling with multiple officers, he shouts: "Let me sit up, (N-Word)."

Meanwhile, the woman was "unable to stand on her own and was essentially unresponsive" as paramedics tried to administer care, the police report noted.

The paramedic told police that Jewell identified both himself and his passenger as "people of importance" and flashed his wallet badge, the report noted.

When a state police trooper asked for Jones' identification, Jones refused, at one point prompting the trooper to tell Jones, "don't be dumb." During their exchange, Jones responds "I can't do that" when asked again for his driver's license and ID.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Latest on the Oscars (all times local):

6 p.m.

ChloƩ Zhao has made history at the Academy Awards.

Zhao won the Oscar for best director for “Nomadland,” becoming just the second woman and the first woman of color to win the award.

“My entire ‘Nomadland’ company, what a crazy, once-in-a-lifetime journey we’ve all been on together,” Zhao said.

Kathryn Bigelow was the first woman to win, for “The Hurt Locker,” in 2009.

This was the only year in Oscar history with two female nominees, Zhao and “Promising Young Woman” director Emerald Fennell. Only seven women have ever been nominated.

It was the first Oscar for the 39-year-old Zhao, who was born in Beijing and went to college and film school in the United States. “Nomadland” is her third feature.

The other nominees were Lee Isaac Chung for “Minari,” Thomas Vinterberg for “Another Round,” and David Fincher for “Mank.”

Not one Anglo Saxonist!

The Democrats are Leninist of 2021

Thursday marked the 151st birthday of the most successful revolutionary of all time, Vladimir Lenin. With only a tiny cabal of diehard followers, Lenin seized control of the world’s largest country and inaugurated a reign of darkness and terror that lasted seventy years.

There are many lessons to draw from the blood-soaked life of Lenin. But one of the most important is this takeaway for the terrifying “woke” moment America is living through right now. Things are not going to naturally get better. Things will not organically “calm down.” Until there is a fundamental reset of America’s treasonous leadership class, today’s unthinkable witch hunt is merely a prelude of an even darker globalist terror to come.

The Bolsheviks were indisputably more murderous than today’s left (if only because they lived in a more violent age), but even they had to ramp up how much terror they engaged in.

At the beginning of their rule, in fact, the Bolsheviks were even willing to run a fair election. Just days after the October Revolution, they held the preplanned elections for Russia’s Constituent Assembly, anticipating an easy win. To their surprise, they were easily defeated by the Socialist Revolutionaries. And so, like any good leftists, they simply nullified the election and dissolved the Constituent Assembly. Since it was 100 years ago and the Bolsheviks were well-armed, it was enough to simply announce that the Constituent Assembly was closed. Today, they might concoct a more elaborate narrative, perhaps that the Socialist Revolutionaries engaged in “collusion” with a foreign power.

Once they had taken power, the Bolsheviks didn’t immediately launch Stalin-style mass purges. Instead, the Bolsheviks started off in a way modern Americans would find disturbingly familiar: By legitimizing criminal anarchy Antifa and co-opting the justice system and Chief Justice Roberts a RINO

State Lawmaker Banned from Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines told the Anchorage Daily News that State Senator Lora Reinbold (R) has been banned from its flights for refusing to follow mask-wearing rules.

There’s no overland road access from Reinbold’s district to the state capital in Anchorage and Alaska Air provides the only airline service. That means if Reinbold wants to travel to the capital, the trip will take roughly three days, including a part by boat.

A video shows Reinbold arguing with airport staff about wearing a mask.

He's a Communist in disguise.

Fauci doesn’t have an insincere bone in his body.

The phrases “public servant” and “public service” are exhausted to the point of meaninglessness. They’re tics. They roll off politicians’ tongues as readily as requests for money, suggesting that adulation and power aren’t the more potent draws to elected office. They’re invoked in regard to other government workers, as if decent paychecks and generous pensions weren’t a significant lure.

But if anyone ever deserved to be described in those terms, it’s Anthony Fauci. That was true before the coronavirus. It’s truer now — despite the times when he has revised his message on how to deal with it, despite assessments of the pandemic that didn’t bear out and despite Republicans’ efforts to use all of that to turn him into some bespectacled Beelzebub.

Following World War II, America’s marginal income tax rate was between 70 percent and 90 percent. Yet we generated enough tax revenue to fund a massive infrastructure buildout that created the world’s largest middle class. Investment was not limited to roads and bridges (as Republicans want now); it also included education, health and basic research. Three of the four largest decreases in U.S. unemployment and two of the three years of our fastest economic growth occurred in the 1950s, when the top marginal tax rate was 91 percent.

Trickle-down has failed to deliver such benefits. Indeed, over the last five decades, tax cuts for the rich have led to negative or flat economic growth and higher unemployment. It stifled consumption by transferring income from those who consume to those who save.

Most recently, Trump relied on the trickle-down economics to cut corporate, capital gains and individual tax rates, all of which primarily benefited the wealthy. So consumer spending did not generate enough economic growth to replace the tax revenues lost from the cuts. Nor did the cuts spur the business investment and hiring promised by Trump. In fact, business investment plummeted. Corporations, instead of investing in their businesses and hiring more Americans, used their newfound profits to buy back record amounts of their stock and purchase or merge with other companies, firing employees to avoid redundancies.

Republican objections to increasing U.S. deficits and debt seem purely hypocritical, political, disingenuous and at odds with history.

Following the "defund the police" movement and the "abolish the police" movement, constant negative coverage of law enforcement by the media, anti-police sentiment becoming mainstream, and the threat of riots have contributed to a police shortage across the country.

The Philadelphia Police Department currently has 268 vacancies and is expecting even more shortages in the near future.

"From Jan. 1 through Thursday, 79 Philadelphia officers have been accepted into the city's Deferred Retirement Option Program, meaning they intend to retire within four years, according to Mayor Jim Kenney's office," the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. "During the same time period last year, just 13 officers had been accepted into the program, the office said."

"It's the perfect storm. We are anticipating that the department is going to be understaffed by several hundred members, because hundreds of guys are either retiring or taking other jobs and leaving the department," Mike Neilon, spokesperson for the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police, told the newspaper.

Biden’s Next 100 Days

“President Biden spent his first 100 days trying to engineer the end of the coronavirus and start of a job boom. The next 100 are more audacious and risky:
Try to re-engineer the very fundamentals of America — inequality, voting rights and government’s role in directing economic growth,” Axios reports.

“Biden advisers feel they have a huge opening to raise taxes and pick winners in the energy markets, in part because Republicans and business no longer lock arms — and wallets — in opposition to the reordering of capitalism.”

YES! Capitalism must be reordered or it will not survive. We the people are fed up with the corrupt criminality and unfairness of it.

No Reckoning on Racism for GOP Leaders

“If the nation is in the midst of a historic reckoning on racism, most leaders of the Republican Party are not participating,” the AP reports.

“The moves reflect a stark political reality: As America grows more diverse, the Republican Party continues to be led almost entirely by white people, particularly men, who cater to an overwhelmingly white base. And despite fierce criticism from civil rights leaders and growing concern from business leaders who are traditional allies, many Republicans see no problem.”

Anti-Trump Group to Grade GOP Lawmakers on Democracy
“An anti-Trump conservative group is launching an effort to track and evaluate whether Republicans in Congress, in the group’s view, have acted to either undermine or uphold democracy and democratic values and what role, if any, they played in attempts to overturn the 2020 election,” CNN reports.

“The Republican Accountability Project has created what it’s calling a GOP Democracy Report Card, which assigns grades to Republican members of Congress ranging from an ‘A,’ which the group describes as excellent, to an ‘F,’ which it describes as very poor.”
