Donald Trump is probably the most investigated man in the history of the United States. From being accused of stealing an election, campaign fraud, fraudulent business dealings, conspiring with foreign leaders, misuse of the Presidency, spearheading a non-existent coup to take over the country with a few hundred unarmed protesters, and of course illegally paying off a porn star with a perfectly legal NDA.
Not to mention that his tax returns have been audited pretty much every year for the past few decades.
Yet, there has been no indictments, arrests, or any of the sorts. Sure a Special Counsel spent $30 million dollars investigating Trump and arresting associates in an attempt to squeeze them into giving up the good on Trump. But the only one to "give up the goods" as it were was Michael Cohen who found out that he admitted to conspiring with Trump on something that was not a crime and then lamented on how he copped out and nobody else went to jail but him.
It is said that the NYAG office is attempting to show that the Trump Organization is not always on the up and up with their appraisals of property. Depending on whether they need a loan or a tax break, the property might have different values. Welcome to any real estate business and good luck "proving" that an appraisal was not only factually incorrect, but that there was explicit fraud in obtaining them. As the SDNY found out when they went after the Trump Org over the NDA. Trump employs a lot of accountants and attorneys with impressive degrees, resumes, and $10,000 suits. That attempt to railroad the former President found the SDNY being ordered to put an end to the the investigation by the presiding judge.
Even if they could somehow prove that the Trump Organization was involved in some sort of real estate fraud, the fall person who ends up taking the blame and goes to jail is not likely going to have the last name of Trump.

Washington — President Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a call Wednesday that he "expected a significant de-escalation today on the path to a ceasefire" in the conflict in Gaza, the White House said. Mr. Biden previously expressed support for a ceasefire in the fighting between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which has led to the deaths of more than 200 Palestinians, including dozens of children, and at least 12 Israelis.
"President Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu today. The two leaders had a detailed discussion on the state of events in Gaza, Israel's progress in degrading the capabilities of Hamas and other terrorist elements, and ongoing diplomatic efforts by regional governments and the United States," the White House said in a readout of the call. Mr. Biden has faced pressure to speak out against the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza, as the number of Palestinian civilians killed or wounded far outpaces the number of Israeli victims hurt or killed by Hamas rocket attacks. As Axios reports, “The Biden administration is not willing to compromise its relationship with Germany over this pipeline.” Evidently, standing by Ukraine in its increasingly tenuous situation with Russia is all mere talk too.
Besides this ill-advised bowing to a geopolitical rival, whatever happened to Biden’s commitment to combat global climate change? That was, after all, the lame justification given for his Day One executive order killing the Keystone XL pipeline, costing thousands of American jobs. Evidently, Biden’s insistence of needing to fight the global climate “crisis” stops at the U.S. border. Or maybe it’s just mere talk as well.
To round things up, Biden is acting to weaken America’s energy independence and infrastructure development, as well as put much of Europe under Putin’s sway, all while we’re still reeling from last week’s Russian cyberattack on our energy infrastructure via the Colonial Pipeline.

Jared Kushner's absurd peace plan has failed
"We are witnessing the last vestiges of what has been known as the Arab-Israeli conflict," Jared Kushner crowed in The Wall Street Journal two months ago.
He was surveying the results of the Abraham Accords, the ersatz Middle East peace plan he helped negotiate under Donald Trump. At the heart of his supreme self-assurance, and of the accords themselves, was the deadly fiction that the Palestinians were so abject and defeated that Israel could simply ignore their demands.
"One of the reasons the Arab-Israeli conflict persisted for so long was the myth that it could be solved only after Israel and the Palestinians resolved their differences," wrote Kushner. "That was never true. The Abraham Accords exposed the conflict as nothing more than a real-estate dispute between Israelis and Palestinians that need not hold up Israel's relations with the broader Arab world."

To circumvent that dispute, the United States set about bribing other Arab and Muslim countries to normalize relations with Israel. The United Arab Emirates got an enormous arms deal. But the explosion of fighting in Israel and Palestine in recent days makes clear something that never should have been in doubt: justice for the Palestinians is a precondition for peace. And one reason there has been so little justice for the Palestinians is because of the foreign policy of the United States.
"I don't think that there's any way that this occupation and creeping annexation process could have gotten where it is today if the United States had said no," said Jeremy Ben-Ami, the president of the liberal Zionist group J-Street.
One can condemn Hamas and its rockets and still recognize that this current conflagration began with Israeli overreach born of a sense of impunity. A major flashpoint was the campaign led by Israeli settlers to evict Palestinian families from their homes in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
Palestinians fear, not without reason, that Israel is trying to push them out of Jerusalem altogether. That, in turn, has let Hamas position itself as Jerusalem's protector. And Israel seems to consider its right to defend itself from Hamas justification for causing obscene numbers of civilian casualties.
To be fair, this is not something that began with Trump: America has been enabling Israel's occupation and settlement project for decades. Tareq Baconi, a Ramallah-based senior analyst for the International Crisis Group, argued that in some ways the Trump administration was simply more honest than its predecessors about its disregard for the Palestinians.
Before Trump, it was common to say that the occupation would eventually force Israel to choose between being a Jewish state and a democratic one. During the Trump years, Israel's choice became undeniable.
Israel's 2018 "nation-state law" enshrined "Jewish settlement as a national value" and undermined the legal equality of Israel's Arab citizens. As settlements expanded, a two-state solution turned from a distant dream into a fantasy.

All this mayhem is overdetermined; nearly every iniquity in the region has an impossibly complicated prehistory. But the United States has underwritten both Palestinian subjugation and the growing power of Jewish ethnonationalism. The No. 2 Senate Republican, John Thune of South Dakota, told reporters Wednesday that while some Republican senators are supportive of a commission, others worry that it could be used against the GOP in next year’s midterm elections, particularly if the report slips into next year.
Mr. Thune said the question is whether the probe will be a “fair process that fully examines the facts around Jan. 6 in an objective way and doesn’t become a political weapon in the hands of the Democrats.”
Several congressional committees are already investigating the government’s planning and response to the riot, and the internal watchdogs of four government agencies have also launched reviews of officials’ actions. In addition, the Justice Department’s criminal probe has led to charges against more than 400 people of offenses stemming from the Jan. 6 attack.
The FBI arrested six people on Wednesday, the department said, including a Pittsburgh-area woman accused of saying she wanted to hang House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.). The charges against the six include violent entry, trespassing, and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
