Biden's FBI raids woman's house, stays for three hours, takes her cell phone and laptop...

Even though she was obviously not the same woman that they were looking for

Paul and Marilyn Hueper, owners of Homer Inn & Spa, woke with a start at 9 a.m. April 28 when a dozen armed FBI agents kicked down their front door in an investigation associated with Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s stolen laptop, which was taken during the Jan. 6 siege of the nation’s Capitol.
woman on the left is who was raided
woman on the right is who they are looking for
Ultimately, the couple was handcuffed and interrogated for the better part of three hours before being released. In the end, it was a case of mistaken identity.

She told them, “Oh that’s obviously not me. Why didn’t you show me that photo to start with?” The woman in the photo has detached earlobes – Marilyn’s are attached, she said. Plus, the woman was wearing a sweater that Marilyn said, “You couldn’t pay me to wear.”

The agents suggested that she was lying and not cooperating, she told Bird. At no point was the couple read their Miranda rights or charged with any crime, and the agents left after three hours without offering an apology.
They also took Marilyn’s phones and laptop, she said.
So how does this sort of thing happen? When did we become a police state?
  • Now are there similarities here between the two? Sure.
  • Was the woman in question at the Capital on Jan 6th? Yes.

But other than looking similar and wearing similar jackets, it's pretty obvious that they are not the same woman. A quick look at Marilyn's posted picture from the rally and the surveillance photo taken of the woman they are looking for makes it obviously they are not wearing the same clothes. Also, the hair is not parted in the same place, the women from the surveillance photo has hanging earrings. Apparently she is wearing boots, whereas Marilyn was wearing shoes, etc, etc. Only the jacket is similar.

Did the FBI believe that she made a quick wardrobe, jewelry, and hairstyle change between the rally and the riot?

So one has to wonder which crackpot portion of the FBI spent hours on this picture and demanded that these were the same woman? I wonder which idiot judge looked at these pictures, agree,  and signed a search warrant? Or perhaps they did not actually present their evidence to the judge? Just said that they had it and a judge signed off.

Under what authority did the FBI believe that they had the right to take this woman's cell phone and lap top, when she was obviously not the person they were looking for? Lastly... how many other peaceful rallygoers will the Biden administration have the FBI go hassle out of pure spite? It's not enough to lock up actual rioters without bail (most of which are not charged with anything above a class E felony) or wander around the country rounding up other rioters in order to charge them with misdemeanors, they now want to start gong after those who were just at the rally and did not actually break the law.

Disgusting misuse of FBI power!

Disgusting reasons why you loved him from January 20th 2017.

Like leaders before him, Donald Trump is using fear, not facts, to convince us we should erect walls to keep out people who are largely just trying to feed their families by doing jobs we don’t want to do ourselves.

He’s using fear to convince us it’s OK to ban entire countries and religions from the United States and to deny shelter to those seeking safety and a better life.

He’s using fear to convince us that access to decent health insurance is the path to socialism.

He’s using fear to convince us that violent crime is so rampant, we should allow unmonitored police action and unrestricted access to guns.

He’s using fear to convince us that the other countries of the world are out to destroy us with “horrible” trade deals that destroy our way of life.

She said agents told her there was video footage of her in the building, but Marilyn Hueper claims it’s a case of mistaken identity.

Agents showed her photos of a woman wearing a black Columbia coat with white lettering on the left shoulder, the same as she was wearing, Marilyn Hueper said, acknowledging both women were close in age with a similar hairstyle.

That is where the similarities ended, she told the station. The woman was wearing a sweater that Marilyn Hueper claimed she would never own, and she said she has attached earlobes.

“This chick looks like she has detached earlobes, which makes me jealous,” Marilyn Hueper said of the woman in the screen grabs. “I’ve always wanted detached earlobes.”

What do you say about this, Ch/Scottie?
Doesn't this contradict so much that you've been saying about California and other "Democrat run" states?

(And yes, I know that Michigan is a Dem run state, but they've had special problems, as CA did too, earlier.)
______________

FROM WORST TO FIRST
California surpasses Hawaii with the lowest average number of coronavirus cases per capita in the US.

Just a few months ago, CA was the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in the US. But now the state has surpassed Hawaii with the lowest number of cases per capita in the past two weeks, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

One in every 2,416 people in CA tested positive in the past week. At the other end of the spectrum, one in every 223 people in Michigan was diagnosed with the virus.

Now as cases spike in other parts of the country, CA has gone from worst to first with the lowest infection rate in the US, even as it moves quickly to reopen more businesses with greater customer counts and allow larger gatherings.

Gov. Gavin Newsome said he plans to lift most remaining restrictions by June 15.

The scramble to get Covid-19 vaccinations has given way to an open invite in many places.
Where people once lined up for hours and counties struggled to get doses, there now appears to be a vaccine glut in many locations.

CA has about 40 million residents, and a little more than half the 32 million eligible for vaccines have gotten at least one shot.

"It has been a success story for CA as we have gone from our, if you will, viral transmission tsunami that happened after the back to back holiday season, to where we are now," said Dr. Robert Kimfarley, UCLA School of Public Health.

At the peak of a winter surge that followed the holidays, the state was recording 44,000 cases daily and well above 500 deaths per day. Those numbers have dwindled to 2,300 new cases and 68 deaths daily.

"It's like night and day. There was a time when we had nine deaths a day and they were all Covid. We haven't had a Covid death in four days." -- Todd Beckley, General Manager, Englewood Cemetery Mortuary.

Gerrymandering.....

Courts have historically not left redistricting to states.

After Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court drew a new congressional map, reducing the GOP’s big advantage, the state’s Republicans argued that the courts should stay out of redistricting matters. “The United States Constitution expressly delegates districting authority to state legislatures,” wrote legislative leaders. During oral arguments over Wisconsin’s legislative map in October, Justice Neil Gorsuch made a similar point: “Where exactly do we get authority to revise state legislative lines?”

Story continues below advertisement

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had the answer: “Where did one-person/one-vote come from?” The courts that interpret the Constitution have long overseen the process of drawing district maps. In the 1930s and 1940s, legislative districts were wildly unequal in population; some had 900,000 people, others as few as 10,000. That gave certain voters a much bigger say than others in deciding who was elected. At first, the Supreme Court refused to touch the issue. But in 1962, Justice William Brennan wrote for the majority in Baker v. Carr that “judicial standards under the Equal Protection Clause are well developed and familiar, and it has been open to courts since the enactment of the Fourteenth Amendment.” That led to the “one person, one vote” cases of the 1960s, which mandated that districts be roughly equal in population and, as a consequence, more fair. The Supreme Court has the same power to strike down partisan gerrymandering today.

If the Democrats get a properly framed case against gerrymandering might give more power to the people.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A federal judge granted a preliminary injunction Friday barring Columbus police from using tear gas, pepper spray, wooden bullets and other so-called "non-lethal force" against nonviolent protesters.

The decision favored 26 protesters who sued the city in U.S. District Court saying they were brutalized by Columbus police during protests following the murder of George Floyd last Memorial Day at the hands of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was recently convicted of murder in the case.

Chief U.S. District Judge Algenon L. Marbley wrote that "some of the members of the Columbus Police Department had no regard for the rights secured by (the First Amendment of the Constitution) this bedrock principle of American democracy. This case is the sad tale of police officers, clothed with the awesome power of the state, run amok."

Falwell invites Liberty students to ‘real’ graduation party at his farm despite lawsuit

'If you're not a senior but you're dating one, you can come, too,' said Jerry Falwell Jr., who resigned as president of Liberty University last year in the wake of multiple scandals.

April 30, 2021
By Emily McFarlan Miller, Jack

(Religious News Service) — Former Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr., who left the school last year in the wake of multiple scandals, made an appearance at a gathering that included students over the weekend where he invited attendees to the “real Liberty graduation” at his own house next month.

Religion News Service has obtained footage of the moment that matches a shorter video circulating on Twitter claiming to show Falwell’s invitation.

RELATED: Liberty University sues former President Jerry Falwell Jr. for $10 million, citing conspiracy, breach of contract

In the videos, Falwell, who resigned in 2020 as president and chancellor of the evangelical school, can be seen standing on an outdoor stage beneath handmade signs that include a cross, as a crowd attending what several people have identified as a comedy show look on. Holding a microphone, Falwell invites seniors to an event at “our farm” on May 8, saying, “We’re going to have the real Liberty graduation.”

“If you’re not a senior but you’re dating one, you can come, too,” he added, according to the video obtained by RNS.

In the longer video, Falwell said he and his wife, Becki Falwell, were out to dinner when they heard from their daughter, a junior at Liberty, that she was at the show. He had only come to extend the invitation, he said.

He noted his daughter was “probably so pissed at me right now” and encouraged students to spread the word “as fast as you can” about the event on social media.

“We gotta move quickly,” he said.

Reached by RNS on Friday (April 30), Falwell said he was joking about the party being the “real” Liberty graduation. The planned event at his 500-acre farm, where his family has lived for 33 years, is “my way of saying thank you” to the students, who he said have supported him through the past year of controversy.

“I just want to thank the students because they’ve shown me so much love through all this ordeal. Everywhere I go, they’re so forgiving. They’re so loving. And I want to reciprocate by having them out to my farm,” he said.

He said the party is on as long as his health doesn’t take a turn, noting he has been receiving treatment for blood clots, something his mother also battled. He did not comment on plans for the party.

Asked about those who have questioned whether it is appropriate for the former president of the university to host such a party, Falwell said, “I live right here, and I’ve got a big farm, and I got a bunch of students that I love and that love me, and I’m going to do it.

“I don’t care whether anybody likes it or not,” he said, laughing.

The reaction from the student body is not immediately clear. In one video, an onlooker can be heard whispering as Falwell makes the announcement, saying, “Let’s go.”

But Save71, an alumni group that has been critical of the former university president, expressed concerns about Falwell’s behavior, given past scandals involving him and his wife.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

“Leaders of a university are obligated to do their best to protect students, but Liberty’s leaders have not investigated or even acknowledged allegations of sexually predatory behavior by the Falwells,” said Dustin Wahl, cofounder of Save71.

“Now Jerry Falwell Jr. is taking advantage of their inaction.”

Liberty University officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Falwell has appeared at some recent events on Liberty’s campus, although he has since tweeted that he and Becki Falwell have been banned from campus.

He also has reappeared on social media recently after a hiatus.

Falwell had been silent while receiving medical treatment for his blood clots, he told RNS, which has included blood thinners and a trip to a New York University hospital at the advice of a doctor he said was introduced to him by conservative talk show host Sean Hannity.

But, he said, “I’m slowly getting better, and I’m ready to fight again.”

Falwell caused controversy last August by briefly posting a photo on Instagram of himself with his arm around a woman who is not his wife, their pants unzipped and midriffs bared. Though Falwell said the photo was meant “in good fun” and was taken at a costume party while on vacation, he soon took an indefinite leave of absence and later resigned.

He has faced allegations that he and Becki Falwell had a yearslong sexual relationship with a business associate, which the Falwells have disputed.

RELATED: Why Jerry Falwell Jr.’s social media ‘yacht’ posts were problematic for Liberty University

Politico also has reported allegations by a former Liberty student, who claimed he had a sexual encounter with Becki Falwell — who the student described as “the aggressor” after she allegedly continued to pursue him later — while staying at the Falwell home after band practice with the Falwells’ eldest son in 2008. Jerry and Becki Falwell responded at the time by calling the allegations “false and mean spirited lies.”

Jerry Falwell Jr., is currently being sued by the school he once ran, with Liberty’s lawyers demanding $10 million from him, citing conspiracy and breach of contract involving the recent scandals.

Falwell told RNS it was “evil what some of these people at Liberty are doing just to try to grab power.” At age 59, he said, he’s done his work and is fine if that happens.

“But the world needs to know I didn’t do anything wrong. The world needs to know it’s just a power grab,” he said.

“And I’ll probably tell that to the students.”

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

It has been credibly charged that Jerry Fallwell Jr. and his wife used to walk around campus pointing out to one another which students, male and female, would be good sexual partners for the other.

It is said that his wife liked for him to watch as she was intimate with the student mentioned in the article above.

Sicko, sicko, sicko.

I never cared for the politics and extreme right-leaning religion of Jerry Falwell Sr., but he was nothing like that.

Insurrection writer who has zero medical evidence said.

Our media and some “experts” have been touting race as a risk factor, and prioritizing people for vaccinations based on ‘social justice’ ideology. However, there are weight statistics that should have serious bearing on discussions of coronavirus risk factors.

Bearing in mind that 42% of Americans are obese according the CDC definitions, the rate for black Americans is notably higher:

Among African-American adults, nearly 48 percent are clinically obese (including 37.1 percent of men and 56.6 percent of women, compared to 32.6 percent of whites (including 32.4 percent of men and 32.8 percent of women).

Hispanic American rates are higher still:

Over 60% of all Hispanic populations are either overweight or obese. Of the 60% that are overweight, more than half, 52%, are obese. Children 15 and younger rank highest among all obese groups; this stems from the myth that the thicker a child is healthier.

Instead of focusing on masks, our politicians, public health officials, and media would be more useful if they highlighted this information and adjusted their policies and discussions accordingly.

Because black people are obese died from obesity instead of the covid-19 virus, and masking is a Democratic hoax

Obese people of every color have a higher death rate.

right-wing Trump supporter from South Carolina was arrested and charged last week for assaulting police officers and destroying government property during the Capitol insurrection on January 6, according to a press release just out from the U.S. Department of Justice.

The department unsealed a complaint this week against Nicholas Languerand, 26, of Little River, South Carolina, for in involvement in the U.S. Capitol breach.

Languerand was arrested on April 15th and made his initial appearance in the District Court of South Carolina. He is charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer using a dangerous weapon; civil disorder and aiding and abetting; theft of government property and aiding and abetting; knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority using a dangerous weapon; and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

According to court documents, Languerand was involved in attempts to interfere with uniformed police who were on duty protecting the Capitol building from rioters. As depicted in publicly available video and photos reviewed by the FBI, Languerand can be seen in the Lower West Terrace tunnel throwing a variety of objects at law enforcement, including what appears to be a traffic barrier, a can of pepper spray and a stick-like object. At approximately 5:02 p.m., Languerand was captured on video holding a police shield and hitting it against the ground.

This case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the Counterterrorism Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Security Division, with assistance from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina.

The case is being investigated by the FBI’s Washington Field Office, along with the Metropolitan Police Department and the U.S. Capitol Police. Valuable assistance in this matter was provided by the FBI’s Columbia, South Carolina, Field Office.

The investigation hinges on Giuliani’s dealings in Ukraine

Investigators are looking for evidence related to Giuliani’s role in the firing of Marie Yovanovitch, Trump’s former ambassador to Ukraine and a central figure in his first impeachment trial, according to the New York Times. Yovanovitch was ousted in 2019 at the behest of Giuliani, who felt she was standing in the way of his attempts to find damaging information on the Biden family.

That saga played out as a small part of the larger impeachment probe regarding Trump’s conduct with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Yovanovitch testified in 2019 that Giuliani was working with Ukraine’s former prosecutor general, Yuriy Lutsenko, asking him to open inquiries into political enemies including Hunter Biden — related to his time on the board of a Ukrainian energy company — and initiating a smear campaign against her when she attempted to follow protocol in arranging meetings between Ukrainian and American law enforcement officials.

Now, the Justice Department is investigating whether Giuliani’s conduct in that situation, and other events in Ukraine, were a violation of federal lobbying laws, according to the Times. Lobbying the US government at the behest of a foreign official without registering the activity with the Justice Department — a registration Giuliani never made — is a violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

Giuliani went on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show Thursday night to dispute the claims against him.

“I never represented a Ukrainian national or official before the United States government,” he said. “I’ve declined it several times. I’ve had contracts in countries like Ukraine. In the contract is a clause that says I will not engage in lobbying or foreign representation. I don’t do it because I felt it would be too compromising.”

Giuliani also claimed to have hard drives from Hunter Biden’s laptop that the agents were uninterested in despite his pleas; said he could have destroyed any evidence at any time over the last two years in which he has known about the probe; and asserted that the Justice Department, under Biden, was making up a case against him. He called on the officials overseeing his investigation to be investigated themselves, likening the situation to “East Berlin before the wall fell.”

Robert Costello, Giuliani’s lawyer, said in a statement that the investigation was evidence of a “double standard” in which the Justice Department will investigate prominent Trump supporters but will not open inquiries into Democrats such as Hunter Biden, whom he accused of “blatant,” though unsubstantiated, crimes.

Agents also obtained a warrant for the phone of Victoria Toensing, a lawyer who collaborated with Giuliani on efforts to investigate the Bidens in Ukraine. Toensing handed over her phone on Wednesday morning, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The New York Times has reported that in addition to Giuliani’s dealings regarding Yovanovitch, federal investigators are looking into his conversations with Lutsenko regarding a draft retainer for legal consulting services that eventually fell through. The investigation hinges on whether or not Giuliani was solely representing Trump in his dealings with Ukrainians, or if he was also working on behalf of Ukrainian officials and business associates’ interests.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

The DOJ’s hard line could have implications beyond Giuliani

The raid is a major escalation of the federal investigation into Giuliani, and represents a serious willingness by the Justice Department to look into the shadowy dealings of Trump figures. Considering Giuliani is a lawyer protected in his dealings with Trump by attorney-client privilege on some level, the fact that investigators obtained a warrant indicates the high-level nature of the investigation and the potential for consequences of the informal relationships between Trump figures. Giuliani’s work for Trump was often done informally — limiting the scope of what attorney-client privilege can protect.

Sources close to the former president told CNN that the raid on Giuliani has left them uneasy about what else the Justice Department might be investigating.

Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who pled guilty to charges of tax fraud, false statements to a bank, and campaign finance violations, flipped on his former boss in 2018. On CNN, he said he expected Giuliani to eventually do the same.

“Prior to Donald becoming president, Rudy didn’t like Donald and Donald didn’t like Rudy,” Cohen said on CNN. “He certainly doesn’t want to follow my path down into a 36-month sentence.”

If he is given a chance to get the former indicted, instead of going to jail??

He will turn on him.

rrb would call him a traitor.

Discrimination by the Republican party base.
At 1 a.m., the day after the Arkansas state Senate had overridden Gov. Asa Hutchinson's (R) veto of a bill banning gender-affirming care for trans kids, the Spurrier family opened a GoFundMe so they could move out of the state.

Why it matters: The Spurriers believe leaving their home of 16 years is the only way to protect their transgender son. Over 80 bills targeting trans children have been introduced so far this year.

What they're saying: Emily and George, who have worked to support their 17-year-old transgender son Cas since he came out in 2019, say they felt cornered.

"It was like okay, the monster's coming at you. You see the tentacles, 'okay, I can beat the tentacles,' but then the head comes out and now you realize the beast you're dealing with," Emily said. "In that fight or flight scenario, I feel like at this point I want to choose flight because it’s difficult to fight a brick wall."Cas said the bills make him feel like lawmakers are saying they don't want him to exist. "I shouldn’t have to justify the fact that I’m a normal person."

Although Cas is 17 — at the cusp of being affected by Arkansas' bill banning transition-related health care for minors — his parents say their move is motivated by wanting to escape the overall anti-trans environment.

Emily sent an email to Hutchinson on April 5, thanking him for vetoing the bill that was ultimately pushed through by the state legislature. "To us, this meant everything," she wrote.

Emily told Axios she had not received a response to the email. Hutchinson's office did not return requests for comment. When asked in an NPR interview last month what he would say to trans minors and their parents, the governor replied: "Well, I'm sorry."
