The Bad Orange Man - like a recurring nightmare for the left

Trump On Possiblity of Running for House and Becoming Speaker: ‘That’s So Interesting’
During a recent interview with Trump, conservative talk host Wayne Allyn Root suggested that he should run for a House seat in Florida, become Speaker of the House, and then lead an impeachment effort against Biden.

This is a hilarious idea not only because it could actually work, but because it would drive the left positively bonkers. Trump was open to the suggestion, saying “that’s so interesting.”

I figured if the member of the TDS club are having some withdrawal or are tired of making shit up to keep him in the news. What would happen if he decided to run for Congress? Certainly he could make a play now to get into the correct district and would be a favorite to both win his seat and become elected Speaker.

Imagine if it was Trump leading a House Majority against the Biden Administration's attempts to implement his liberal agenda. It could be WWIII. Oh, and being in the Congress would not preclude him from running for President again in 2024. In fact, it might actually be the best way to go about it, if he really wanted to.

McGahn Tells How Trump Undermined Mueller

Democrats Set to Force Filibuster Showdown
June 5, 2021 at 12:15 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 8 Comments

New York Times:
“Schumer said he intended to bring the filibuster showdown to a head beginning next week, by forcing votes on a series of measures that Republicans oppose, including one that was blocked by a Republican filibuster in 2014 that seeks to ensure that women and men receive the same pay for equal work.

“Mr. Schumer hinted that he could also bring forward legislation on gay rights and gun safety.

"Most immediately, he promised a vote before the end of June on a sweeping voting rights bill that Democrats say is needed to counter new Republican-led voting restrictions being enacted in states around the nation.

“The idea is to show Democrats refusing to change the filibuster rules that Republicans led by Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky and the minority leader, are going to stand in the way of legislation that has widespread support, and that the only way to win their adoption is by overturning the rules.”

It's not TDS I'm a patriotic American citizen.

Trump must call out his fringe before the worst happens.

Suddenly, it is not a joke — it’s the furthest thing from funny. The unthinkable morphs into the plausible. There are always red flags, tipping points. There are fuses that, once lit, can’t be extinguished. I’m talking about the event last weekend in Texas, followed by bizarre social media postings, that should make any rational American citizen’s blood run cold.

At the “For God & Country Patriot Roundup” in Dallas, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was one of the featured speakers. During a question and answer session, someone from the audience asked him, “I want to know why what happened in Myanmar can’t happen here?”

Now, what happened in Myanmar was a coup d’état. And Flynn, briefly former President Trump’s national security adviser, told the crowd, “No reason. I mean, it should happen here.”
L the country’s democratically elected leaders, because of allegations of voter fraud. Hundreds were killed during the coup and thousand arrested in the months following. As surreal and frightening as it may sound, the alleged “voter fraud” in Myanmar and its military’s response to it apparently has become a rallying cry for some Trump supporters who still believe that President Biden stole the election and that Trump remains the “legitimate” U.S. president who must be returned to that office.

The general’s words, posted in a video on Twitter, should cause your blood to run cold. All of a sudden, it seems like “Dr. Strangelove” spins up some MAGA supporters. If you haven’t seen the 1964 movie starring Peter Sellers — spoiler alert — it ends with the annihilation of the United States and the world.

Soon after his Dallas comments were reported, Flynn categorically denied on social media that he was advocating for a coup in the United States. He posted on Parler: “Let me be VERY CLEAR — there is NO reason whatsoever for any coup in America, and I do not and have not at any time called for any action of that sort. Any reporting of any other belief by me is a boldface fabrication based on twisted reporting at a lively panel at a conference of Patriotic Americans who love this country, just as I do.”

Although some on the left may not want to hear it, Flynn did serve our nation with distinction and, to some, he did seem to be unfairly targeted and smeared by partisan operatives within our government looking to damage Trump and his administration. You may recall the four years of drama involving Flynn: He resigned his position, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, and later was pardoned by Trump.

That said, even if we agree to take Flynn at his word, when watching the video of that Q&A in Dallas, it’s clear that the audience believed he was endorsing a coup as they erupted in applause. That there exists even the smallest undercurrent of such a completely un-American coup fantasy in the minds of some citizens is the stuff of nightmares. It’s a fuse that must never be lit.

But, since nation-destroying ideas seem to be in vogue these days, we next have Twitter exchanges about the coup-advocating/coup-denying moments. CNN reporter Donie O’Sullivan tweeted: “Talk of a Myanmar-style coup in the United States has been popular among some Trump supporters and QAnon believers for months.”

In response, Maggie Haberman, of the New York Times, tweeted: “Trump has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will be reinstated by August (no that isn’t how it works but simply sharing information).”

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

On the face of it, Haberman’s claim is disturbing for a host of reasons, and it could be interpreted by some people as a signal that there really is something afoot that could reverse the 2020 election. Is her claim hearsay, or does Haberman know for a fact that Trump has said this?

'West Wing' president on Trump: 'We've got to call this bum out'Axios CEO says GOP before Trump will not return

These incidents, conversations and speculations could rise to become a direct threat to the United States. No doubt, there are millions of Trump supporters out there who believe that he was wronged in the election and will never accept Biden as their president. That’s fine, but they should stop whining and do the correct thing by finding and supporting candidates who best speak to their vision — candidates who should come to power only through free and fair elections.

Enough is enough with the “stolen election” mantra. It clearly can lead to a dark, dangerous place and must be shut down. Only one person has the power to stop this in its tracks: Donald Trump. For the good of our republic, he should quickly condemn all talk of a “coup” and encourage his followers to peacefully and legally work within our political system to make their voices heard. That is what patriotic Americans do.

WASHINGTON -- The Justice Department said Saturday that it no longer will secretly obtain reporters' records during leak investigations, a policy shift that abandons a practice decried by news organizations and press freedom groups.

The reversal follows a pledge last month by President Joe Biden, who had said it was “simply, simply wrong” to seize journalists' records and that he would not permit the Justice Department to continue the practice. Though Biden's comments in an interview were not immediately accompanied by any change in policy, a pair of statements from the White House and Justice Department on Saturday signaled an official turnabout from an investigative tactic that has persisted for years.

The previous administration illegally confiscated the phone records.

They wanted to expose anonymous sources.

They would be at risk from right wing terrorists.

Yes, because free speech is a dangerous thing and people can't think for themselves.

Betting here is Trump won't run in 2024 leaving the field open to a more attractive candidate like Ron DeSantis to forward his agenda.

Or he'll lose in a primary to Ted Cruz. The important thing is to forward Trump's agenda without it necessarily having Trump at the head of the ticket.

Just got to keep the Trump voters happy.

It’s easy to roll our eyes at outlandish spending from billionaires – say, buying NFTs or yachts – but their spending is good for the overall economy. Their savings, however, are not so good, according to new findings published in the Chicago Booth Review, which reports that the 1% has “buried” the middle class in debt with their saving habits.

A Harvard study tracking credit card debt resulted in similar findings last June. This time, Amir Sufi, a professor at the University of Chicago, discovered that the top 1 percent of households in the US currently have just as much influence as emerging-market economies in fueling the debt of the bottom 90 percent. Here’s what happens when that money sits in what is essentially “financial storage,” rather than being spent on goods and services."

None of the Trump siblings emerged unscathed from my grandfather’s sociopathy and my grandmother’s illnesses, both physical and psychological, but my uncle Donald and my father, Freddy, suffered more than the rest. In order to get a complete picture of Donald, his psychopathologies, and the meaning of his dysfunctional behavior, we need a thorough family history. In the last three years, I’ve watched as countless pundits, armchair psychologists, and journalists have kept missing the mark, using phrases such as “malignant narcissism”and “narcissistic personality disorder”in an attempt to make sense of Donald’s often bizarre and self-defeating behavior. I have no problem calling Donald a narcissist—he meets all nine criteria as outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)—but the label gets us only so far. I received my PhD in clinical psychology from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, and while doing research for my dissertation I spent a year working on the admissions ward of Manhattan Psychiatric Center, a state facility, where we diagnosed, evaluated, and treated some of the sickest, most vulnerable patients. In addition to teaching graduate psychology, including courses in trauma, psychopathology, and developmental psychology, for several years as an adjunct professor, I provided therapy and psychological testing for patients at a community clinic specializing in addictions. Those experiences showed me time and again that diagnosis doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Does Donald have other symptoms we aren’t aware of? Are there other disorders that might have as much or more explanatory power? Maybe. A case could be made that he also meets the criteria for antisocial personality disorder, which in its most severe form is generally considered sociopathy but can also refer to chronic criminality, arrogance, and disregard for the rights of others. Is there comorbidity? Probably. Donald may also meet some of the criteria for dependent personality disorder, the hallmarks of which include an inability to make decisions or take responsibility, discomfort with being alone, and going to excessive lengths to obtain support from others. Are there other factors that should be considered? Absolutely. He may have a long undiagnosed learning disability that for decades has interfered with his ability to process information. Also, he is alleged to drink upward of twelve Diet Cokes a day and sleep very little.

A Middle Class Rebellion Against Progressives Is Gaining Steam

And this new middle-class rebellion is being bolstered by a wide-ranging intellectual rebellion by traditional liberals against the Left's dogmatism and intolerance. Indeed, what we're about to see has the potential to reprise the great shift among old liberals that had them embracing Reagan in reaction to the Left's excesses of that generation.

In a way, this should not be surprising. After all, the progressive base is limited: According to a survey conducted by the non-partisan group More in Common, progressives constitute barely eight percent of the electorate. The report also found that fully 80 percent of all Americans believe that "political correctness is a problem," including large majorities of millennials and racial minorities.

Party line journalists may see President Biden as the new champion of the middle class, but every time he adopts central tenets of the new Left, he undermines his pitch. And this happens not infrequently: The Biden Administration has adopted elements of the "anti-racist" agenda, for example, by explicitly favoring Black farmers for subsidies, rather than focusing on all farmers in need. Race issues may be popular on college campuses and in the human relations departments of giant corporations like Lockheed and Amazon, but a recent Yale study found that language based on inclusivity around class was far more popular than one focused largely on race, even with progressive voters.

This is not the message coming out of the Biden administration, which has put a premium on diversity hiring and "equity," despite the fact that racial quotas, in hiring or in college admissions, are unpopular with three out of four Americans, including African-Americans and Hispanics; 65% of Hispanics, 62% of black Americans and 58% of Asians oppose affirmative action in college admissions.

Biden is similarly losing the middle class on immigration. Already many Latinos, particularly in Texas and Arizona, fear the loss of border control that accompanied the shift from Trump to Biden administrations. The crisis at the border has the potential to overwhelm the economies, health and welfare systems in heavily Hispanic border communities, which is sparking alarm among border state Democrats.

I hope that President Biden will focus on the election right's legislation, even though it might not survive the current Supreme Court.

During the civil rights era of the 1960s and for some time beyond, the Supreme Court spoke of voting as a fundamental right, one judges had a duty to protect.

“The right to vote freely for the candidate of one’s choice is of the essence of a democratic society, and any restrictions on that right strike at the heart of representative government,” Chief Justice Earl Warren wrote in 1964 in Reynolds vs. Sims.

But the notion of a constitutional right to vote has faded, replaced by the court’s conviction that the power of state legislators trumps the rights of the voters.

Harvard Law professor Nicholas Stephanopoulos, who teaches election law, said he wouldn’t speculate about the intent of the justices. “But across the right to vote, redistricting, the Voting Rights Act and campaign finance, the court’s decisions have benefited Republicans,” he said. “And partisan advantage explains these decisions better than rival hypotheses like originalism, precedent, or judicial nonintervention.”

The Republicans are scared of the people. So they are trying to restrict the voice of the people.

Because we are a Federal Democracy, the states have the authority to determine who won the election results. Despite a majority vote on Election day.

It's not about Trump.

It's about the current situation party. History will see it as an authoritarian party.

The party of Abraham Lincoln is dead.

From the day that President Truman, stopped segregation in the armed services, the United States has been transitioning from the Jim Crow era.

The Justice Department spied extensively on Fox News reporter James Rosen in 2010, collecting his telephone records, tracking his movements in and out of the State Department and seizing two days of Rosen’s personal emails, the Washington Post reported on Monday.

In a chilling move sure to rile defenders of civil liberties, an FBI agent also accused Rosen of breaking anti-espionage law with behavior that—as described in the agent's own affidavit—falls well inside the bounds of traditional news reporting. (Disclosure: This reporter counts Rosen among his friends.)

The Obama Justice Department, under then-Attorney General Eric Holder, alerted The Associated Press in 2013 that it had secretly obtained two months of phone records of reporters and editors in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into newsgathering activities.

After blowback, Holder announced a revised set of guidelines for leak investigations, including requiring the authorization of the highest levels of the department before subpoenas for news media records could be issued.

But the department preserved its prerogative to seize journalists’ records, and the recent disclosures to the news media organizations show that the practice continued in the Trump-era Justice Department as part of multiple investigations.

As described in an FBI affidavit, the photograph on the left is the one Sean McHugh sent to a probation officer for an offense unrelated to the U.S. Capitol siege. The image on the right is from a police body camera on Jan. 6th.

Capturing an irony of an accused U.S. Capitol rioter who allegedly shouted through a bullhorn that police were “protecting pedophiles,” CNN dug up the suspect’s lengthy rap sheet and reported that he was convicted a little more than a decade ago for the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl.

Suggesting Sean McHugh’s apparent beliefs in the QAnon conspiracy theory may have carried an air of psychological projection, the report also undermined the depiction of the pro-Donald Trump mob by the former president and his supporters as a band of indignant patriots who love law enforcement and their country. McHugh, like some 130 accused rioters charged with him, has been accused of assaulting or resisting police on Jan. 6th.

There is a Marxist revolution now exploding in America. That is no exaggeration.

For a reality check, consider that the top-selling books on Amazon right now include “American Marxism” by Mark Levin, currently #9, and “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military” by Matthew Lohmeier, currently #10. (Lohmeier, you’ll recall, is the Space Force officer just ousted for exposing the rampant Marxist indoctrination going on within America’s Armed Forces.) Then there’s David Horowitz’s bestseller, “The Enemy Within: How a Totalitarian Movement is Destroying America,” and so on.

TRENDING: Trump issues statement on Biden's 'disastrous decision' to end 'remain in Mexico' policy

This is real. And let's be totally clear as to what we're really dealing with: What we cryptically refer to as "The Left" – code words for a godless, revolutionary movement steeped in pathological anger and churning rebellion against America as a uniquely blessed Judeo-Christian, constitutional republic – is at war not with “racism” and “inequity” and Trump supporters (whom they label “white supremacists” and “domestic terrorists”), but with America herself.

Traditionally, society’s natural defenders against such an onslaught of lies and deception would be a free and independent press. Which is why Thomas Jefferson famously warned in his 1823 letter to Lafayette, “The only security of all is in a free press.” Journalists are supposed to be professional Truth-tellers – because when the truth is boldly and widely proclaimed and understood, a nation can begin course-correcting, healing and breathing easily again.

Question: What do each of the following problems, which together are currently crushing the United States of America and her people, have in common?

* The COVID-19 pandemic and its arbitrary and contradictory lockdown, mask and “social distancing” mandates, plus the relentless campaign to force everyone to be vaccinated with an experimental drug even if they’re young, healthy and face very little risk from the virus, or have already recovered from COVID and possess superior natural immunity;

Advertisement - story continues below

* “Climate change,” which according to America’s ruling elite, threatens the very existence of life on earth unless a radical new global “reset” is implemented immediately. It also serves as a pretext for the Biden administration’s sabotage of America’s energy independence and destruction of thousands of high-paying energy jobs, as well as astronomically expensive “Green New Deal” programs and indoctrinating millions of school children with scary predictions of near-term death;

* The elites’ indictment of America as irredeemably racist, which justifies and encourages Marxist revolutionary groups like Black Lives Matter and Antifa to perpetrate an ongoing campaign of intimidation, violence, arson, vandalism, monument-destruction, looting, assault and murder in cities throughout the country. These same groups also deploy menacing mobs to the homes of politicians, journalists and others with whom they disagree – spray-painting curses and shouting threats at the home’s occupants.

TRENDING: 27 blacks dead at Waco – and Joe defended the killers

* The vilification of federal, state and local law enforcement as “systemically racist” and the actual “defunding” of police departments, resulting in an immediate and totally predictable rise in violent crime. At the same time, George Soros-funded far-left district attorneys around the nation are releasing violent criminals from prison into the general population;

* “Cancel culture,” which revels in the rampant firing, doxing, boycotting, humiliating and “canceling” of innocent people – often destroying their lives – solely for expressing opinions contrary to the unhinged and destructive views of the “woke” left;

Many American workers are seeing the biggest pay gains in decades.

Friday’s employment report for May confirmed that the economy is continuing its recovery from the shock of the pandemic. Although the headline figure of five hundred and fifty-nine thousand jobs gained fell a bit short of Wall Street projections, it was more than double the Labor Department’s previous report for job growth in April—two hundred and sixty-six thousand—a number so low that it shocked many economists when it was announced, this time last month. The official unemployment rate fell three-tenths of a point in May, to 5.8 per cent. That’s the lowest level since March, 2020, when the coronavirus shutdowns were just beginning.

Given the partisan rancor that now surrounds the monthly release of jobs figures, and almost everything else, it’s worth setting the current situation in context. A year ago, large parts of the country were still in shutdown mode, and the unemployment rate stood at 13.3 per cent. Back then, the consensus among economists was that the road back to normality for the U.S. economy would be a long and challenging one. When Federal Reserve policymakers met last June, their median forecast was that the unemployment rate would average 9.3 per cent in the final three months of 2020 and 6.5 per cent in the final three months of 2021. During the second half of last year, many businesses reopened, hiring rebounded much faster than expected, and the Fed’s forecasts turned out to be overly pessimistic. By December, the jobless rate had fallen to 6.7 per cent. In January of this year, it dipped below 6.3 per cent.

Around that time, some economic analysts, although not those at the Fed, flipped from pessimism to supercharged optimism. Giddy at the prospect of more vaccines being rolled out and Joe Biden’s $1.9-trillion American Rescue Plan kicking in, they looked ahead to monthly figures of more than a million new jobs, and a rapid return to full employment. So far, these predictions have also turned out to be incorrect. Since February, monthly jobs gains have averaged about five hundred and thirty thousand. The unemployment rate has continued to come down, but at a somewhat slower rate than it had previously.

This slackening in the rate of improvement has left Biden on the wrong side of the expectations game. Speaking shortly after the May figures were released, he said, “We have now created over two million jobs in total since I took office—more jobs than have ever been created in the first four months of any Presidency in modern history, triple the rate of my predecessor, eight times the rate of President Reagan.” Republicans couldn’t challenge anything in this statement. But that didn’t prevent Kevin Brady, the top G.O.P. member on the House Committee on Ways and Means, from claiming that Biden’s policies were holding back the economy. “People are not coming off the sidelines for jobs, even with record job openings,” he told reporters.

The lower middle class might have a greater chance than for decades.

31 Million Now Insured Under Obamacare
June 5, 2021 at 4:58 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 87 Comments

“About 31 million Americans now have health-care coverage through the Affordable Care Act, the White House announced Saturday, setting a record since the law, colloquially known as ‘Obamacare,’ was enacted in 2010 under President Barack Obama,” the Washington Post reports.

To commemorate the milestone, President Biden spoke with Obama in Zoom conversation that was taped and released by the White House.

1/ The #FauciEmails are the gift that keeps on giving. Remember Peter Daszak? He’s at the heart of all of it - his group funneled NIH money to the Wuhan lab, and he organized a letter to @TheLancet in February 2020 condemning “conspiracy theories” about #SARSCoV2...

2/ That was the first public effort to use a big scientific journal to steer attention from the lab. A week later, Daszak did so again, with an
@NEJM
paper insisting the virus had to be natural.

Guess who saw the paper in advance and was asked to coauthor it?

Dr. Anthony Fauci.

3/ Fauci ultimately said no, agreeing with a staffer that "it would look weird." But this is yet more evidence of how close he and Daszak were - and his secret efforts from the first to discredit the lab leak theory.

(BTW - the paper is dated April 2, but it came out Feb. 26.)

The Democrats and the teachers are at war with America.

The Democrat party and leftist coalition led by iCivics is desperate to impose its vision of American history on the nation.  Its national history curriculum content roadmap and report tells history teachers across the country what questions to ask their students, what themes to teach their students concerning American history, and even provides new definitions for key historical terms. The term “America,” according to the iCivics led the report, is “[f]or many people,” “a term of attachment.” But “[f]or others, it has been a term of marginalization.” Throughout its roadmap and report, iCivics uses “the phrase ‘citizen and civic participant’” because, they say, “[a]n individual who is not born or naturalized in the United States may yet serve as a paragon of citizenship.” The iCivics national content roadmap for history curriculum is designed to change state standards, increase federal control in history education, and create a framework for de facto national curriculum content standards on history and civics. In many ways, the iCivics roadmap appears to be a more significant violation of federalism than the original Common Core. The iCivics coalition wants to align the National Assessment of Educational Progress (the test often called “the nation’s report card”) with the EAD “Roadmap.” This would be the quickest and easiest way to impose a de facto national curriculum on the nation’s schools. States will be forced to teach from the same EAD curricular hymnal if they want to get federal grants.

Despite the efforts of Stanley Kurtz and a few others to highlight the pervasive influence of iCivics in education circles, you likely won’t hear much from traditional media outlets about the group or the policies they’ve helped pass. Most Democrats and pundits understand that the ideas promoted by organizations like iCivics are hopelessly out of touch with what most Americans believe. If conservatives don’t rise to confront the dangers of woke education soon, however, the long-term damage done to generations of young Americans may prove to be irreparable.

Info Wars is banned everywhere because they are traitors. Even MIT,one of the best Universities are Communists.

Misinformation and propaganda are as old and as present as human communication and societies organized into states.

The curiously intense focus on these the last couple of years prompts many to believe such issues are now used as justification and smokescreen for suppressing legitimate but unwanted speech, and free expression-related civil rights.

Depending on where you stand on that, you may be reassured or dismayed that the World Economic Forum (WEF) is one of the entities pushing hard the agenda of online misinformation presenting a huge danger today – and endorsing some “solutions.”

One comes from MIT and its “Reconnaissance of Influence Operations (RIO)” – now there’s a name George Orwell would probably not kick out of his novels.

Out the gate, RIO “establishes” that power of misinformation on social networks and elsewhere online is such as to sway elections, but also allow different points of view to be expressed, or as the program announcement put it, “sow discord.”

Another dangerous point the MIT program aims to address is disinformation feeding “conspiracy theories” – but in light of the recent embarrassing U-turn on the “Wuhan lab leak” there’s no evidence of a firm and consensus-based definition of what a “conspiracy” even is. Rather, the category seems prone to political whim.

But RIO looks to be designed to work under the false premise that these definitions are objective, and agreed on by all stakeholders.

You’d think that as far as conspiracies go, the one about Russians electing a US president by exploiting social media is the most tired and by now well-debunked one.

Nevertheless, that is one of the claims to fame made by those behind RIO and MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Artificial Intelligence Software Architectures and Algorithms Group, whose goal is not only to “automatically” detect what they deem to be disinformation, but also what their machine learning algorithms are programed to identify as “disinformation narratives.”

That means the tool would recognize the level of influence of accounts not only by their size in terms of followers, but also other elements as a measure of overall impact. Recognize for what reason? Highly likely to censor and remove.

“The team envisions RIO being used by both government and industry as well as beyond social media and in the realm of traditional media such as newspapers and television,”
